Night had already wrapped up the Kiri sky in a dark cloak where no light would pierce its dark spell it had over the country. The only sources of light were born out of fighting and death of other shinobi that were fighting relentlessly in the naval battle against the Seven Bells’ naval forces. Ambers danced and twirled in the air as ships were tearing themselves apart from the fighting. Be it enemy or alliance, neither side were safe from the destruction of this naval fight. It was getting close to impossible to be able to stand out in the open without the smells of gunpowder clogging up his nose and thus restrict his breathing. Smells of burning wood and death merged grotesquely with the smell of sea salt making Sanosuke almost want to puke. Already his body was beginning to ache from all the fighting he had done in this war. There really wasn’t a number of how many bodies Sanosuke had left behind in this very ocean that Sanosuke and the Kiri Alliance force were doing battle in. His body was still ringing of being surrounded by so much explosions that sometimes he would phase in and out of consciousness to be numb to the sounds of battle.

The alliance were supposed to hold out and fight the enemy shinobi until reinforcements from Kiri would arrive, but when would that happen Sanosuke still had no recollection. So in the meantime Sanosuke had to make do with help commanding the alliance naval fleet as efficiently as possible to push back Seven Bells’ forces. If they were able to do such a thing, then it would be quite possible for the alliance to gain the advantage. From as far as he could see, there was a significant amount of shinobi from Seven Bells’ forces that were fighting in this naval battle. It was a rough estimate, but it was quite possible that at least half of Seven Bells’ remaining force were fighting in this battle. The odds were overwhelming but should they be able to annihilate these hostiles then Seven Bells’ military strength would be cut in half. That would mean that instead of always being on the defensive, the allied forces would finally for once be able to go offensively in a more direct route rather than just simply weakening Seven Bells’ forces. It would mean that now they would take the fight to the military tycoon that was solely responsible of countless shinobi for just greedy gain. Even if the aid that Konoha did come to assist in time for the battle, though they gave their word that they would be able to be there in time for combat, Sanosuke would pick up their slack. This mission was critical in putting a whole in Seven Bells’ military power. Already Io had been dealt with so their morale that one of Seven Bells’ chain of command was killed in action was dropping low. So winning this battle would be another heavy blow to their morale. If it called for Sanosuke to sacrifice his entire being for the success of this mission, the kumogakure jounin would gladly do so.

The tycoon of Kiri deserves death by the crudest way possible for the crimes against humanity he committed. Even though this wasn’t his land, he still cared about the people whom were risking their lives just for the cause of protecting what was theirs. After all Sanosuke would do the same thing if it was his village in trouble. Chakra points 45, 32, 21, 9, 12, 14, 319, 218, 69 and a wide combination of other trace elements in the other chakra points of the human body. They all were, when syngized together, would come up with the human conscious and their morals. Treat others how you would like to be treated[. a truthful philosophy that even children knew. If only they knew just how important that philosophy was in times of war; where the selfless actions of one person would have a great pay out.

Cannons exploded around Sanosuke as the ship where he had landed on were firing at an enemy ship that had crossed his path. The enemy ship looked to be a messenger ship that was about as small as a speedboat. It was most likely used to transport supplies to and from to other battleships that needed the supplies in dire need. A very smart maneuver on the commanding officer of the vessel he was on. He would have to make a note to put the commanding officer of this ship towards mission control about this man’s quick thinking so he would be marked for promotion. Even though his ear drums were carrying a slightly high pitched wailing sound, he knew that the sensation would go away soon enough so his hearing would be returned. The messenger ship slowly dripped to the bottom of the sea with the majority of its husk enveloped in flames. It was a pity really that the ship had to be put out of commission so harshly. From the ringing of his ears, about 5 cannons were shot at the tiny ship in comparison to the colossal battleship that Sanosuke was riding on top of temporarily to gather his bearings. It just seemed like overkill, but no matter the job was done so there really was any complaints to be made about how the job was done.

Navi was buzzing from his inside over garment trying to get free. She wanted to get out and fly alongside Sanosuke but she couldn’t take the sound of exploding cannons from her overly sensitive ears. Sanosuke put her there so that she can at least try and regain her hearing before Sanosuke decided to go out there again to fight a good fight in the name of Kiri. He wouldn’t dare leave his partner by herself on a ship; should anything happen to Navi then Sanosuke would surely be lost. He truly loved her and would rather sacrifice his own life than let her die; the problem was she would do the same thing for his sake. Enough was enough of having his eardrums pop due to the cannons because he had to now talk to the Daimyo’s family. They had some information that would be quite useful to the allied forces in achieving victory. Walking down into the inner parts of the ship where the captain of the ship instructed the Daimyo’s family be stationed there until the battle was over, and there was about 3 ANBU agents stationed there to protect the noble family from protection. They would let him through because he rescued them and they also knew that if anyone was going to get useful intel from the family would be the one whom saved the from captivity. Once again it was time to use his skills for the battle.

Just about an hour past when Sanosuke came back on deck of the ship he had left the Daimyo’s family on. Throughout that hour, Sanosuke was able to get some information out of them. But first they wanted to thank him with so many things. Promises of sending many gifts and other assortments of winnings for saving them from death. They even said that should he ever want to attempt to get the rank of Raikage in the future, that they would ask for the Daimyo of the Water Country to talk to the Daimyo of the Lightning Country to talk on his behalf stating how much of an exceptional shinobi Sanosuke is and how he deserves the title of Raiakge. Being the leader of Kumogakure was something that hadn’t crossed his mind before. Though he wasn’t ANBU, he always worked from behind the scenes and did the jobs that nobody wanted to do but they were jobs that had to be done nevertheless. But then again leading the village hidden in the clouds, his home village though not his birth village, would be a way to pay them back for accepting him into their village with open hands those so many years ago after what had happened with his family. So maybe he might take them up on their offer of support, should they survive this naval battle that they were in the center of. Raikage Sanosuke Flynt, it had a nice ring to it. Though he knew that his family from his birth village would just hate him more of being a shinobi warlord now and not being a follower of their belief that shinobi were spawns of Satan himself.

The people Sanosuke saved were the family of the Daimyo himself and this deserved to be treated with the utmost care and delicacy. They had been through so much. After being captured along with the Daimyo, it wasn’t for the ANBU’s agents skills the Daimyo would be along with them. They were only able to rescue the Daimyo since he was by themselves on one part of Seven Bell’s territory of Mizu no Kuni and his family was in the other part of his territory. So it was hard to get an exact fix on where they could be exactly. Sanosuke could only guess the frustration the ANBU agents were experiencing when they could only save the Daimyo and not his family. After all with the Daimyo’s family held captive, then Seven Bells would have a bargaining ship for his survival of this war should he be captured himself. It was a wise move on his part, and only left the alliance with frustration. The family consisted of the Daimyo’s wife, her 2 children where the oldest child was 10 and the youngest was 6, and the Daimyo’s sister in law. The women were and children were held captive and the Daimyo’s brother was along with them. But according to the Daimyo’s sister in law, the brother was killed during interrogation of what he knew about the Kiri forces. It was unfortunate indeed. That was when they were put in a ship to carry them and transport them into another location where the Kiri alliance wouldn’t find out where it would be. If it wasn’t for the ANBU intelligence they collected, they wouldn’t even know about the transaction. Seven Bells ordered his shinobi to fight against Kiri in a do or die attempt which would distract Kiri long enough to have the Daimyo’s family transferred under the mask of war where he was sure nobody would find out.

That was where he was wrong. Kiri knew and then sent Sanosuke to intercept them and save the family. It was where he had to do battle with a shinobi that mimicked the abilities of Io, Seven Bells’ head medic and member of his chain of command. The shinobi looked like a freak of nature as though every movement it made caused it more and more pain. The shinobi gave up their body towards Seven Bells’ in order to better serve their lord in whatever way the mass murderer saw fit. To think that someone would be so dedicated to someone that they would even give up their own humanity, it was sick. What was more curious was the fact that the shinobi could use senjutus like him; so Io must have made notes about his own battle strategy when he and some other Kumo shinobi fought the mad scientist and his wave of zombie soldiers. But the knock off was nowhere near his skill level with a sword and so he was put down with just small difficulty by Kumo’s Buzzing Blade. Seven Bells gravely underestimated his enemy and made it so that all he needed was just one soldier to defend the important cargo, and his grave mistake would cost him dearly.

When he came up, Sanosuke relayed what he had found out to the commanding officer of the vessel he was on. It turned out that the commanding officer was a member of the headquarters of Kirigakure’s Alliance back at base. ”The 'symphony' was one of the prides of the Daimyo's navy, and Seven bell's force has since claimed it as their own. Infiltrate the ship and turn it into a ghostship. The ship is huge, so it will almost be impossible to destroy it...” The commanding officer instructed Sanosuke. The jounin nodded at that it made sense. The Symphony is a massive battleship which was made to be used by the Daimyo's Samurai, it was reported to be located in the dead center of the battle, it's being used as a fortress and halting the progression of our forces in getting to Seven Bells. The ship is expansive and well-armed with cannons and other supplies. If they were to somehow take control of that vessel, the entire tide of battle can be turned in their favor. They could do this. The Daimyo’s family must have heard of this while they were in the cages from the other shinobi that were manning the vessel. They must have been so stupid and sure they would survive that they didn’t care that the prisoners were within earshot of what they were saying. No one saw it coming that one of their own, well what used to be one of their own, would turn on them and kill them all.

Now they had this precious intel that could very well manipulate the flow of battle to their favor. It seemed as though the other shinobi were too busy fighting it out on their fronts to assist him in this endeavor. Now that would be tricky indeed, since Sanosuke was by himself. Well he couldn’t say by himself since his partner Navi was right there beside him. Just on cue, the tiny ball of light popped out of his inside workings of his cloak to stretch her wings. It seemed as though she was ready for battle and so was he. Sanosuke cracked his knuckles and looked outwards off the head of the ship. Straight of ahread of him was the ship called the Symphony that would be the turning point of the war. IT was a clear shot and Sanosuke was sure that he could get to it before any other ships would interrupt him.

”Navi let’s go!” Sanosuke said simply as he took very little time to get himself mentally prepared for plunging back into the abyss that is war. Navi followed her partner shortly behind him at speeds that were almost as fast as his own. The two of them made for the large colossal ship that was rather far from their current position but clear of any ships that would interrupt his progress. After all the enemy ships had the Kiri allied ships to worry about. After all what could one little Kumo shinobi do against ships like these? That was something that the enmy was thinking; unfortunate for them that Sanosuke would make sure that the shinobi would prove them wrong in more ways than one.

Getting to the ship was much harder than he invisioned it to be. Just when he was making his way towards the warship, there were ships that were in his pathway when they were not there before. It seemed as though news of his feat was discovered. Sanosuke cursed under his breath as his job just got harder. A few cannons were fired towards his direction as he leaped from ship to ship. Although the cannons were fired at him, they were also indirectly fired at their own ships. So simply dodging and weaving under the cannons were all Sanosuke had to do to avoid blowing up on contact. But then again the jounin didn’t want to take any changes. Using chakra on his feet as he ran between battleships while running on the water with impressive speed for a jounin, Sanosuke was batting away any cannonball that was in his path with his sword. It would erupt in the ocean that would be adjacent to his previous position. Never once did slow down in his movements. He would just keep pushing forward without any hesitation at all.

Zipping through the enemy lines, Sanosuke would alternated between running and jumping between the ships like a springboard just to avoid being pelted by the cannon’s firing barrage. The cannon would be aimed for him, but at the last second the jounin would move so the ship he was on would be hit instead so essentially he was forcing the enemy to do the fighting for the Kiri troops without him lifting a finger. Sanosuke smirked as he ran, there was however one ship that was coming to close to hitting him every time he ran. So this commander was actually intelligent where he was shooting and wasn’t just blindly shooting out of fear of the Buzzing Blade. He would have to remedy that rather quickly. One cannon was shot at him to stop him from progressing. So this cannon was making him stop right here, meaning he would have to take care of this guy first

Dashing at the ship, Sanosuke swirled and ducked to avoid of cannons being fired right at him. Only occasionally would he bat away the cannons that were coming at him and he knew he wouldn’t block it. When he got close enough, Sanosuke put all his weight in the balls of his feet and took a deep breath before releasing all the tension in his feet in one powerful leap that would get him up the ship. When he got there, Sanosuke looked at every ship member and just rolled his eyes. Just more cannon fodder for him. This was going to be too much of a slaughter. Sanosuke didn’t waste any time, this time he went straight for the mast of the ship. Only a few soldiers were dumb enough to get in his way. They were put down with quick slashes to the neck and chest cavity for a quick death. When reaching the mast, Sanosuke unleashed a powerful slash on it to capsize it, leaping up on the mast Sanosuke applied chakra on it to give it more weight to it to increase its falling velocity. At the speeds the mast was coming down on the ship, there was no doubt that the ship would be ripped in half by the gigantic falling piece of wood. Moving swiftly, Sanosuke ran across of the falling mast as it fell down rapidly.

As he ran, Sanosuke began focusing on the senjutsu chakra around him to gain chakra from the environment to gain the chakra from nature itself to make himself even stronger than he was presently. When he was finished Sanosuke opened his eyes to the site that was before him; the Symphony. The target that Sanosuke was to liberate single handedly. Already there were shinobi to the brim of it, Sanosuke would make sure that none of them would escape his wrath. Now Sanosuke took off in a burst of energy and dashed quickly off the falling mast and into the air with arms wide opened to what was before him in the sky. Right behind him, the ship that he tore down the mast from had exploded from said mast crashing down on it. An explosion of wood and other things that created the hulking ship exploded from the blast as fire came from it. There were already debris coming his way from behind, Sanosuke could sense it as it was closing in on him. Turning his body around so he changed the trajectory of his movement, Sanosuke did a midair somersault over what was coming at him from behind. It was a toilet from the ship that was on fire. In a fluid motion, Sanosuke landed on the toilet and used it as a sort of steed towards the Symphony and the shinobi that were manning it. Not a single shinobi saw Sanosuke coming at high speeds.

When their lookout finally noticed the shrapnel and the other things that were coming at them, it was too late. The mast came down on their ship taking down shinobi that were right there in its path. The sails tangled up the shinobi that were on the sides of the fallen mast. The sails itself were on fire so any shinobi that had fallen on the mast were lit on fire themselves to be killed by being lit on fire on the mast. Already his plan was working, now it was time for his appearance. One shinobi was unfortunate to see Sanosuke coming at him at high speeds. From his flaming toilet that he was surfing on, Sanosuke could see the expression on his face in horror as he realized he wouldn’t be able to avoid the projectile coming at such high speeds.

“Holy mother of Go-“

That was all he was able to get from his mouth when Sanosuke smashed the flaming toilet he was surfing on right in the shinobi’s face. The toilet exploded on the shinobi’s face in a burst of glass and marble. He was killed in an instant from the blast of the toilet. Using the shinobi’s body before he was sent flying by the toilet as a springboard, Sanosuke jumped towards the other shinobi while summoning his swords in a flash of lightning. Sanosuke evicorated anyone that was in his path. One shinobi tried to get a kunai to stab him in the back but it was met with a broadsword in the shinobi’s throat. Throwing the body at someone’s face, Sanosuke watched at that shinobi fell off the rather large body of the building. Using his sword swords, Sanosuke danced around the shinobi with nothing but scarlet puddles showing his footsteps of the order he was killing his foes.

Twirling around a shinobi with a broadsword, Sanosuke ducked low and quickly jerked his body upwards to take down the shinobi’s legs. Each of them went flying to different corners of the ship, and caused the shinobi to fall down on the upper deck. Before he even could have his body hit the ground, Sanosuke plunged his blades in the shinobi’s neck and put his weight in the tips of the sword so that they were in the deck of the ship. Pushing himself off, Sanosuke flipped over his blades and the body the swords were in and with impressive strength Sanosuke tossed the body at another group of shinobi that didn’t see the body coming at all. They all toppled over a few barrels of gunpowder. Letting his swords disappear in lightning, Sanosuke got out his kunai and tossed two of them at the gunpowder with enough precision and skill so just before they hit the barrel, they scratched each together to cause a spark right on the remainders of the gunpowder causing a large explosion on the top of the ship killing a large group of shinobi on the part of the ship.

Summoning his swords, Sanosuke rose the power of his buzzing around his body so it was painful to those that he was close to. He also allowed for his body to gain more and more chakra from the mark of his kekkei genkei so his left eye was glowing green with power. Just like that he was gone in a flash making his body moving quicker than light itself. There were flashes of light everywhere followed shortly by a large buzzing noise. If the flash of light that was Sanosuke didn’t kill you in the fashion of being sliced into a blood puddle, the buzzing did which made anyone he approached fall down dead at his feet due to their own chakra system turning their brain into a blood mush. This rampage went on for an entire minute and already a majority of the crew was killed. Finally the captain showed up sporting a puppet that looked like something from a bad puppet show. His puppet tried to keep up with the wasp sennin’s flickering body, but it was too much as the puppet itself was turned into firewood.

The captain looked around nervously trying to find Sanosuke only for him to be kicked in the air with a solid kick to the chin. The sounds of bones crushing on his toe rippled through the air as the captain was sent flying. In a flash of blue and silver light, Sanosuke ran up the mast to catch up to the soaring captain of the captured Symphony. A flash of light rippled through the air as Sanosuke slashed angrily at the captain turning his limbs into nothing but a bloody husky. With another kick to the side, Sanosuke sent the man flying right at a ship. From the power of his kick, the man’s severed body was like a shooting star and rammed into the sails of another enemy ship which would cause the ship’s speed to be slowed down dramatically.

Landing back down on the ship, Sanosuke powered down and lit a signal flare that he was given by his superior to light that the ship was taken. The Symphony was once again in the clutches of Kiri forces. Sweat caked his face as he didn’t release so much chakra for a long time that it was taxing on his body. Soon Kiri shinobi should show up and take control of the ship, in the meantime Sanosuke would take a breather so he can recover from his attack. Using that much chakra would do that to anyone. No, he would rest now. He earned it, just for a little bit and then it would be back to war...
