Sanosuke
D-rank
Night had already wrapped up the Kiri sky in a dark cloak where no light would pierce its dark spell it had over the country. The only sources of light were born out of fighting and death of other shinobi that were fighting relentlessly in the naval battle against the Seven Bells’ naval forces. Ambers danced and twirled in the air as ships were tearing themselves apart from the fighting. Be it enemy or alliance, neither side were safe from the destruction of this naval fight. It was getting close to impossible to be able to stand out in the open without the smells of gunpowder clogging up his nose and thus restrict his breathing. Smells of burning wood and death merged grotesquely with the smell of sea salt making Sanosuke almost want to puke. Already his body was beginning to ache from all the fighting he had done in this war. There really wasn’t a number of how many bodies Sanosuke had left behind in this very ocean that Sanosuke and the Kiri Alliance force were doing battle in. His body was still ringing of being surrounded by so much explosions that sometimes he would phase in and out of consciousness to be numb to the sounds of battle.
The alliance were supposed to hold out and fight the enemy shinobi until reinforcements from Kiri would arrive, but when would that happen Sanosuke still had no recollection. So in the meantime Sanosuke had to make do with help commanding the alliance naval fleet as efficiently as possible to push back Seven Bells’ forces. If they were able to do such a thing, then it would be quite possible for the alliance to gain the advantage. From as far as he could see, there was a significant amount of shinobi from Seven Bells’ forces that were fighting in this naval battle. It was a rough estimate, but it was quite possible that at least half of Seven Bells’ remaining force were fighting in this battle. The odds were overwhelming but should they be able to annihilate these hostiles then Seven Bells’ military strength would be cut in half. That would mean that instead of always being on the defensive, the allied forces would finally for once be able to go offensively in a more direct route rather than just simply weakening Seven Bells’ forces. It would mean that now they would take the fight to the military tycoon that was solely responsible of countless shinobi for just greedy gain. Even if the aid that Konoha did come to assist in time for the battle, though they gave their word that they would be able to be there in time for combat, Sanosuke would pick up their slack. This mission was critical in putting a whole in Seven Bells’ military power. Already Io had been dealt with so their morale that one of Seven Bells’ chain of command was killed in action was dropping low. So winning this battle would be another heavy blow to their morale. If it called for Sanosuke to sacrifice his entire being for the success of this mission, the kumogakure jounin would gladly do so.
The tycoon of Kiri deserves death by the crudest way possible for the crimes against humanity he committed. Even though this wasn’t his land, he still cared about the people whom were risking their lives just for the cause of protecting what was theirs. After all Sanosuke would do the same thing if it was his village in trouble. Chakra points 45, 32, 21, 9, 12, 14, 319, 218, 69 and a wide combination of other trace elements in the other chakra points of the human body. They all were, when syngized together, would come up with the human conscious and their morals. Treat others how you would like to be treated[. a truthful philosophy that even children knew. If only they knew just how important that philosophy was in times of war; where the selfless actions of one person would have a great pay out.
Cannons exploded around Sanosuke as the ship where he had landed on were firing at an enemy ship that had crossed his path. The enemy ship looked to be a messenger ship that was about as small as a speedboat. It was most likely used to transport supplies to and from to other battleships that needed the supplies in dire need. A very smart maneuver on the commanding officer of the vessel he was on. He would have to make a note to put the commanding officer of this ship towards mission control about this man’s quick thinking so he would be marked for promotion. Even though his ear drums were carrying a slightly high pitched wailing sound, he knew that the sensation would go away soon enough so his hearing would be returned. The messenger ship slowly dripped to the bottom of the sea with the majority of its husk enveloped in flames. It was a pity really that the ship had to be put out of commission so harshly. From the ringing of his ears, about 5 cannons were shot at the tiny ship in comparison to the colossal battleship that Sanosuke was riding on top of temporarily to gather his bearings. It just seemed like overkill, but no matter the job was done so there really was any complaints to be made about how the job was done.
Navi was buzzing from his inside over garment trying to get free. She wanted to get out and fly alongside Sanosuke but she couldn’t take the sound of exploding cannons from her overly sensitive ears. Sanosuke put her there so that she can at least try and regain her hearing before Sanosuke decided to go out there again to fight a good fight in the name of Kiri. He wouldn’t dare leave his partner by herself on a ship; should anything happen to Navi then Sanosuke would surely be lost. He truly loved her and would rather sacrifice his own life than let her die; the problem was she would do the same thing for his sake. Enough was enough of having his eardrums pop due to the cannons because he had to now talk to the Daimyo’s family. They had some information that would be quite useful to the allied forces in achieving victory. Walking down into the inner parts of the ship where the captain of the ship instructed the Daimyo’s family be stationed there until the battle was over, and there was about 3 ANBU agents stationed there to protect the noble family from protection. They would let him through because he rescued them and they also knew that if anyone was going to get useful intel from the family would be the one whom saved the from captivity. Once again it was time to use his skills for the battle.
