- Mission Info:
- Mission name: Rescue the Daimyo
Mission rank: S
Objective: Put the kidnappers to justice (aka death) and rescue the Daimyo before it’s too late.
Location: Wind Country (specifically Daimyo’s Palace, Thick Forest, Abandoned Mine and then reversed for way back)
Reward:ALL DA RYO1000 ryo …?
Mission description: The Daimyo of the Wind Country has been taken captive! Isn’t this the very thing you swore would not happen?! Defeat the well-armed kidnappers, rescue the Daimyo, and bring him back to his palace safely and unharmed at once!
Mission details: You must go to the Daimyo’s Palace and confer with the Palace Guard to discover who the kidnappers are and where they are. Once you’ve found out that they are a pack of mercenaries that the Daimyo never paid off and learned that they want the ransom money dropped off at an Abandoned Mine (huh, why’s that capitalized, I wonder…), go to it. Once there, you discover the Abandoned Mine has quite a few of these mercenaries (20 of them). These guys are A ranked on Buki and Tai, wielding an assortment of weapons (usually Sojutsu or Kenjutsu weapons) and forms of martial arts (your choice). The leader is named Quasimodo and the group is called Royal Guard (yep, the Daimyo didn’t pay his own Royal Guard). Quasimodo is S ranked in Buki and Tai, subspecializing in Sojutsu and Kenjutsu, though he prefers his spear (looks more official). They must all be killed unfortunately to get the Daimyo out safely. Once the Daimyo is out of harms way and in your way, get him back to the Palace, tell him to pay his guards and definitely pay you.- What They Can Do:
- Quasimodo:
- He can use Katon, Fuuton, and Raiton chakra flow abilities to his attacks.
- Minions:
- 9 of the men are able to use Katon chakra flow abilities with their attacks. The remaining 10 aren't able to use chakra flow abilities.
Arriving back from my last mission in the south shore of the Land of Wind, I quickly notified my secretary and advisors that I had come back home. I headed over to my family residence to drop off my travel bag and unload, though my parents had other plans in mind. As soon as I had stepped in the door to my house they greeted and praised me for my job well done. The news of me stopping the pirate bandits attack and decapitating the well-known pirate Captain Bearpaw was running wild through the streets.
The clan had all gotten together to celebrate my success as Kazekage and as a good protector of the state. It had been quite a while since my family had displayed so much joy and pride on the outside that I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was glorious and ever-present no matter how much I seemed to eat. The food in the coastal town had been good, but nothing could compare to how my clan makes food. We had sushi, squid, miso soup, ramen, and plenty of other delicious foods. The whole clan seemed to come to life that evening and it was marvelous to see everyone so happy. Even Daisuke, my lifelong teacher who had trained me in the arts of Bōjutsu was smiling and that never happens!
Finally, like all good things, the celebration came to an end and the clan went back to their homes. I headed to my own and put on my nightgown. The cool night air felt good and the weather was just right, so I decided to leave my bedroom door open and have a gentle breeze soothe me to sleep. My belly felt like an overstuffed pig before it got sent to the slaughter. I went to sleep that night with a genuine smile on my face.
Waking up the next day to the hot gaze of the morning sun, I had to shield my eyes and hurry to my screen door. Once the sunlight was out of my eyes, I was able to see and get dressed for the day. Once I had on my formal attire and was ready to get back to whatever paperwork and duties of being the Kazekage were required of me, I stepped out and joined the rest of my village in getting to work.
Making my way through the bustling town, I made short work of the commute so that I could have as much time to devote to what I was sure would be a ten feet tall pile of papers for me to sign, reports to check, missions and promotions to review and approve or deny. I wondered if there were a few more students that would have graduated from the Academy this year, seeing as it was around time for the Academy to have done its Final Exam. The thought of getting more ninja to join the ranks and protect the village was enough to get my blood racing with excitement.
Entering the office building, I was immediately pounced upon by my secretary. "Lady Kazekage," she said, panting as she had raced up to meet me as soon as I had walked through the doors. "It's awful! The Daimyo of the Land of Wind has been kidnapped! They're asking for a ransom and the country demands that you show up and deal with the issue yourself!"
She handed me the letter from the Daimyo's palace and watched me open it. The words of the Daimyo's official council were harsh and brutal, scolding me for letting the Daimyo be taken without even so much as putting up a resistance. According to the letter, he was taken sometime last night and the letter was rushed straight to me. I looked up from the letter to my secretary, her eyes matching my gaze with a very worried look.
"I'm sorry to have to put you through this, but it looks like I'll be leaving again," I said, she only nodded in response. "Immediately."
