Toraika

Toraika left Malacanth and Hotaru, two members of her squad before the sun had even come up. She let them know she would be going back to Suna the night before, but she still hadn't told them that she was their sensei. It made her laugh only slightly to herself as she left the boys asleep. It was amusing seeing they were already so close yet they had not even been with their squad yet. Gathering her items and placing them in her small leg pocket and tying it up, she sneakily made her way from their camp to the border. She tried extra hard to not be seen by the enemy. The last thing she needed was an unnecessary fight with a Seven Bells soldier. All she wanted was to get back home and see her Mother and her Kazekage-sama. She had lots of things she needed to do once she returned and one of them was meet the Wasp Sage of Kumo. He was going to be training her in Senjutsu. He was an S-rank Senjutsu user and she had heard all kinds of things about him from back in Suna to even here in Kiri. Word was sent to her that he would be training her and she was more than just excited. She was to meet him at the Mizu no Kuni border at sunrise today to travel back to Suna with him, where their training would commence. He requested her assistance in bringing the Kazekage back to Kiri to aid in the battle against Seven Bells in return for him helping her train. Now she was finally to the border and she looked around her seeing the ground beneath her stained with blood and the dead ripped up bodies of shinobi, innocent men, women, and even children. The Seven Bells were brutal and violent and they needed to be stopped. She made it her promise to return and help fight as soon as she could. But for now, she had duties that called her back to Suna. Along with her training and Kazekage mission, she also needed to bring back her new genin who had joined her squad. She had received word from the village saying that she required her sensei to come help her journey to Kiri and aid in the war efforts. Now she waited on the Wasp Sage, Sanosuke. She made sure to stay out of sight of any person perhaps nearby, though it was pretty abandoned.

Sanosuke

The sound of waves crashing could be heard as Sanosuke leaned over to a nearby stream that the jounin was sure contained fresh water and filled up his canister. Water, in the desert was something that would be treated as something that's equivalent to gold. They were going to Suna after all. Sanosuke filled enough water for both him and Navi to drink from whenever they were thirsty. During his training, he learned that Navi does need water to survive as well as food. Though she can go days without substances before she starts to complain that she needs something in her to continue moving. So all Sanosuke needed to do was fill up a canister to the top and let Navi have a sip of it and there should be enough for the two of them. They were already close to the border of the water country where Sanosuke was to meet an old friend of his from his travels. It was unlikely that she remembered him since he now looks so much different than he did before he commenced his training with the wasp and was still trying to find the location of the wasp clan.

Toraika Yoisha was a chuunin form the village hidden in the sands. They had met about 2 years ago when Sanosuke was still searching for any leads to the ancient wasp clan. She helped Sanosuke with some of his research and was his overall guide to through the village. Smiling Sanosuke looked forward to seeing the chuunin again. They had bonded during their time together enough for him to call her a friend. Word got to the sennin that Toraika was also in Kiri to assist in the fight against Seven Bells just like him. She was there longer than him and heard all she did for the soldiers being a medical ninja; the chuunin was an asset to the allied forces. It seems as though she was talking about learning about senjutsu from him. That made his eyebrow raise when he read the letter that she sent him asking him to teach him about senjutsu. Maybe he might be able to find a clan that could teach her, but Sanosuke had no right to teach the wasp art to Toraika. It was something that Titania would have to rule on since she was the Queen now. He replied back with the letter saying that he would help her learn senjutsu only if she helped with bringing the Kazekage to Kirigakure. Kiri needed help from anyone and the Kazekage's power would be crucial in this defense against Seven Bells.

"Sano..." Navi whispered to Sanosuke's ear. She floated close to her partner's ear so that no one else could hear her. Looking over to where the wasp indicated, Sanosuke looked in the woods. There he could see bushes moving back and forth. Small tells that there is an intruder near the border. It had to be someone from Seven Bell's Army doing reconassaince. Blasting a bit of chakra, Sanosuke used enough to wash over the radius where the bush had movement in.

"Turn back." Sanosuke ordered the shinobi that was hiding their presence from the jounin. It was enough to intimidate the ninja to escaping. Once Sanosuke was sure that the shinobi was gone, he let the chakra around him die down. Sanosuke put the cantine in his sack and got up. "Navi, we're moving out." Navi nodded and followed her partner happily humming as she flew around him. They continued walking until they were in the forest where the mist was wearing thin in the air. This must be the border because now the mist that was surrounding the area was a thing sheet. There was a girl with pink hair and a bag that was waiting for someone. Seems as though she didn't change much, she looked more or less the same as she did 2 years ago. Maybe she got taller?

"Toraika, it's been a long time." Sanosuke smiled and waved to get her attention. They would have to leave soon, because the ferry that would take them to Suna was departing soon. If they didn't leave soon, they would have to wait days maybe weeks for a new vessel to pick them up.

Toraika was peacefully leaning against a large thorny root of a giant tree when she heard movement coming from where she had just been. Her guard was immediately put back up as she set her things down and hid behind the root awaiting to see if whatever was approaching was an ally, an enemy, an animal or maybe just Sanosuke. The second the intruder was close enough for Toraika to pick up its chakra, she realized it was familiar. The only thing that was somewhat new was that there was a smaller amount of chakra with it. Thinking hard about where she had felt that chakra before she came out of hiding. "Toraika, it's been a long time." Relief drifted over her body as she heard that familiar voice of Sanosuke. "It has. It's good to see you again, though you don't resemble who you once were." She said looking him up and down. It was true. He did look different, and even though Toraika was always small, she had grown an inch or two over the years. "The ferry is leaving soon, we should go." She said smiling as she always did. Picking up her bag and walking to the ferry, she was more than excited for when she got home, and Sano began her training. She did a good job at hiding it though.

The second Sanosuke appeared, he saw the pink haired girl by the name of Toraika. She was a bit on edge from him appearing. That would happen to anyone who has been fighting in the war. It would have anyone on edge at just the smallest ticks. Before he left Sanosuke remembered the boy whom had screamed himself awake in the barracks of the allied shinobi tents. It was the only place where Sanosuke could sleep in at the last minute so he was forced to share a series of beds with 10 other shinobi. Some of them had just come back from the frontlines and were on standby. The worst part was that a majority of them weren't even special jounin. This was has gone on far enough and Sanosuke would be sure to get the Kazekage's help to come down to help the alliance end this war.

"It has. It's good to see you again, though you don't resemble who you once were."

"My body has been exposed to raw natural chakra in the environment of the ancient was clan. It changed the biological makeup of my body changing my appearance slightly. I personally got off easy with just longer hair and silver eyes, some people aren't so lucky" Sanosuke explained. He looked down at his feet at that slightly. To think that he could have died while being exposed to that much natural chakra in his body at once. It was deadly for too much natural chakra to be in the human body at once, or else it would kill the user. Sanosuke would be sure that he told Toraika that on the way to Suna. "This is Navi, my partner I met while training by the way"

Navi smiled and danced happily in the air. "It's a pleasure to meet you!" Navi sang as she flied around the air. The sound of a ferry's horn could be heard in the distance so loud that it blasted the group with sound. Sanosuke turned around and cursed himself for being so lenient. "Sano! That's the ferry! We better hurry, I don't think it's too far from us! Come on!" Sanosuke signaled Toraika to follow him as he ran off to catch the ferry. With their two speeds of high level shinobi, they could reach it in no time. Sanosuke would be sure to tell Toraika about his travels when they get on the ferry so that she would have an idea of what to expect when they touch down on Suna.
