Uchiha Oshiki

Uchiha Oshiki

The day had been a weird one so far, he should have expected this when he woke up this morning. By the evening, he had become an ANBU agent, sworn at the kage, been given lordship over the entire Uchiha clan within Konoha, and he'd even heard rumors about being promoted for sanninship soon. Apparently rumors spread faster than wild fire, though whether there was any truth about them was to be discussed at a later time. He'd also done something that he had never expected to happen. He had thrown a year of his life away in less than five minutes, he had burned away an entire year of  his life to be able to fight at full strength once more.

---

The hospital bed was uncomfortable, but at least it was clean. They didn't care much for comfort, but they clearly cared a great deal for hygiene. As it currently was, he was sat on the edge of a bed, a young doctor with short white hair looking at him as if he was about to suggest they kick him in the crotch. Oshi wasn't entirely sure what was with this guy, whether it was just fear of him as an Uchiha or if there was something actually wrong with him. He still had to wear bandages under his clothes, but he was sure that there wasn't anything wrong... not that he'd notice if there was anything wrong, he still hadn't managed to learn enough medical for something like that.

"So... Lord Oshiki, I am supposed to tell you something, and I have to have your promise you won't get mad at what we're going to suggest." this was weird, this was not the way that doctors normally acted, it must be really serious.
"What could be so terrible that I might get mad at you for merely suggesting it? Come on, hit me with it." The man seemed a slight bit relieved, but there was also a general aura about him that seemed to imply he didn't believe that he wouldn't get mad.

"Well... we found a way to get you healed up rapidly. You're no longer in any mortal danger, and you can fight most of the time without any major risk to your body, but... if you overexert yourself in this current state, your wounds will reopen and you're in danger of bleeding out again. We can permanently heal them, but it would force us to... well, use our ninjutsu to physically age you by the normal time it would take to heal it properly." This... was not what he had expected. He had to admit, he couldn't just give away his strength, even if it meant he would lose some of his life. How much could it be anyway?
"How long are we talking here..?"
"Oh, just a year." wait... what?

---

Now he was sitting on the bar-stool, mulling over a strong glass of whiskey. He wasn't really all that torn up about losing a year, he always knew that he was going to die young anyway, that was the warrior's way, but he couldn't even properly recognize himself in a mirror... his hair was long, and he had had to take something from the doctor to keep it straight when he refused to get it cut. If he was becoming an agent, he needed people not to recognize him from who he once was. He needed people who didn't know what had happened to him to be unable to draw any links to who he was now. the only exceptions were his students, they would inevitably end up knowing, but even then they were little to worry about. they were genin after all, and both seemed very loyal to the village.

What did make him a little concerned, however, was that he just looked so strange. he liked the way he looked, but it was just... how could a year have done this much to change him? he looked sexy, he looked mature, he looked a little bit cold, and best of all, he no longer had to wear bandages. If he didn't know for a fact that this was him, he would have called himself sexy... actually, you know what, that was what this new look was. Flat out sexy.

Hisaki Hyuga sat at his desk in his room inside of the Hyuga compound. He was wearing his simple silk robe and clutching a book in his hands. If there was one thing he loved more than anything it was books. He had immersed himself into the pages of one of his favourite BL stories, about two shinobi on opposite sides of a war who ended up falling in love after one of them saved the other’s life. It was sweet and romantic and Hisaki couldn’t help but blush when the two characters kissed, something that always made him smile. The pages of the book were well worn, though the cover and spine were still in good shape, Hisaki always being one to take good care of the books that he loved so much. He could get immersed in this story again and again for hours on end, never getting bored with it. It always made him feel happy and would turn his thoughts to a different place…

I walk across the field and see him lying there, his long blonde hair falling in front of his face, bangs dipped with blood. He is asking for help, clearly wounded by the looks of things. I run towards him and as I get closer I realise that he isn’t one of our people, but that doesn’t stop me from helping him. I scoop him up into my muscular arms, his smaller frame easily being lifted as I run him back to a medical nin who will help him. I demand that someone treat him, despite him not being from Konohagakure no Kato, and as his blue eyes look back into mine he smiles softly and says thank you, a tear in his eye. Once he is done being looked at, I check back in to make sure he’s doing alright, sitting at his bedside and waiting for him to awake. When he does he looks at me and smiles. You’re my angel, he says to me, his voice soft and sweet. I lean over him and tell him I couldn’t let such a beautiful man die on the field of battle and he lifts his hand to place it on my cheek, drawing me in as our lips lock and I engage in my first kiss, the bliss of the moment overwhelming me…

Hisaki smiled and blushed when he realised he had been daydreaming. He could hear a knock at his door and he put the bookmark back into his book, quickly standing up and walking over to the door to see who was there. When he opened it there was one of the servants of the house, one of the members of a branch family of the Hyuga clan named Kojiro. Hisaki looked at the slightly shorter Hyuga boy and smiled at him. “What is it Kojiro? Does father need my assistance with something?” Kojiro chuckled softly, knowing full well that he had probably snapped Hisaki out of a boy love fantasy. Everyone in the house knew and had come to accept the fact that Hisaki was gay and read such things, and it didn’t bother any of them, nor did it change who he was. He wasn’t the first Hyuga from the first branch to be gay, in fact his cousin Kimaru was as well, and had been with his boyfriend for years before Kimaru and Mitsuo Sarutobi were both KiA. It had been a very sad day for Hisaki when he had heard the news, as he had always liked Mitsuo, though he wasn’t personally his type, and loved seeing the two happy together.

“Lord Hisaki, your father wanted me to remind you that you’re supposed to be going to the pub today to meet with someone about a painting. Apparently the man was expecting you to be there nearly a half hour ago, you must have lost track of time when you were reading your book.” Kojiro chuckled slightly and shook his head as he saw Hisaki blush and start to run around in a panic. “If you hurry you may still catch him there.” With that Kojiro bowed and left the room, leaving Hisaki to scramble around and grab his things so that he would be ready to go out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It didn’t take long for him to get to the pub, having dawned a simple white shirt with black linen pants. As he made his way through the crowds he could feel his social anxieties taking over, making him very uncomfortable and having him feel light headed at points and almost dizzy. He ducked into the pub as quickly as he possibly could, which he was happy to notice only had a couple of people in it. He also quickly noticed that the man he was supposed to meet wasn’t there. He sighed softly to himself and walked up to the bar, asking the bartender for something sweet in his soft voice, and sipping the drink slowly, noticing there was only one other man who was sitting at the bar. He didn’t look much older than Hisaki but he wasn’t sure, as it was difficult to tell these days how old people really were. He didn’t say anything to the man and simply smiled softly at him before working on his drink, hoping that the man he was supposed to meet would return and give him the art piece he had been waiting for, although he knew this was wishful thinking. He couldn’t help but feel like an idiot at realising that he had completely missed his chance to meet the man initially because he had become immersed in a book and fallen asleep. This had happened to him on several occasions and had really become a bad habit of Hisaki’s, one which he would have to actively try to avoid. He wasn’t going to stop reading of course, that would just be silly, but he would try to make sure that when he set an appointment he made sure he followed through with it.

It's a strange feeling, when you begin to think that someone's looking at you. Oshi had been mulling over the day's events as he sat there nursing his drink, before he suddenly felt the hairs on the back of his neck stick up like he'd just run into somewhere unmentionably cold. It was a strange tingle, not necessarily an unpleasant one, just strange. So, turning around to where he thought the looks were coming from, he noticed... someone.

This boy was someone that he hadn't noticed before, which was saying something since he tried to keep tabs on everyone inside Konoha. It was kind of his job, it was what he was getting paid for at any rate. It was especially strange that he hadn't noticed this guy before, since he was kind of cute. Not Oshi's ideal type, he loved to see the more feminine guys out there, but that by no means meant that this guy wasn't cute. Had the traditional taijutsu body type, and since he was lightly muscled rather than a giant tank, he had to assume that this guy used speed-style fighting, rather than strength based.

Normally, after working out this much about someone, he would usually either go up and talk to them or he would start playing the guessing game; What clan is this person from, that type of game. However, he was not going to do that right now. His face now had the more mature, sexy, sophisticated look so he couldn't look like he was a tail-chaser any more. He would have normally just been blunt about it, but this time... he slipped his hand into his coat pocket and pulled out a book. It might have seemed like he wasn't interested in Hisaki for a moment, before he turned around, making it easy to see that he was showing him the exact title of the book that he was reading.

He had finished reading the book that he had been reading back when he met his students for the first time, due to his rather ridiculous amounts of free time that he'd had recently. Having only just recovered, literally two hours ago, he had been able to enjoy freakish amounts of free time, except for acting as a teacher and taking down that Human puppeteer bastard. That was still more than enough time to read an entire book in a week. The book that he was reading now was the sequel, and contained the same blunt style of cover. Whereas the last one had been "Crisis; Public Affection?" and had the picture of two guys topless together in an empty corner of what seemed to be the Hot Springs. It was clearly based around Konoha.

Picking up his drink with the hand that he wasn't holding the book in, he took a sip... before pretending to only just notice the boy's glances over in his direction, cocking an eyebrow for a second as if confused, before lowering the book and putting it on the bar.
"Is there something in my hair?" he asked, trying to make a joke out of it before taking another sip, letting the liquid slide down his throat, before speaking once again.
"But seriously boy, if you want something you can always just talk to me. I don't bite..." he said, before stagewhispering into his drink "... hard"

Hisaki couldn’t help but think about the novel he was writing as he took another sip of his drink, which had seemed to suddenly form into several empty glasses and one half empty one that he had in his hand. Every now and again he would glance up to the man sitting at the bar before looking back down to his drinks, doing this over and over again. He didn’t realize what he had been doing and would often look back down thinking that his notebook was there but then realizing that there was nothing there. When he realized that he wasn’t able to work on his novel he became sad before taking another sip of his drink. His cheeks were as red as they tended to get when someone walked in on him reading one of the yaoi books that he enjoyed so much, but for an entirely different reason. He felt flush and somewhat dizzy, though clear headed at the same time. He shook his head and then noticed the man at the bar’s lips were moving and something was coming out of them. He noticed then that he was looking at him and he wasn’t entirely sure why, before realizing that he was addressing him.

Oh no, why is he talking to me…did I offend him somehow? What did I do or did I do anything? What did I say? How can I stop him from staring at me, why is he saying he doesn’t bite? How do I talk to people? I don’t interact with people…

He decided that the best thing to do would be to introduce himself, and when the words began to form he was almost shocked himself, as speaking to people was not something he was good with. “M…my name is…is Hisaki…Hyuga Hisaki…” He blushed furiously, partly because of the drinks and partly because he wasn’t used to speaking with men for the most part, besides his clan members and perhaps Sarutobi Mitsuo due to him being around the compound often before his death. Hisaki’s hands began trembling before he tapped the bar and the bartender brought him a double shot of tequila, which he knocked back as quickly as he could and waited a second for it to take effect. Once it had he looked back up at the man who he was sitting at the bar with and smiled slightly. “What’s your n…name?” He wasn’t feeling well, he didn’t like social interaction at all, but he would suffer through it if needed. The man looked oddly familiar for some reason, and he couldn’t quite put his finger on why. Hisaki had been a Special Jounin in the village for a few years now, and he had seen many shinobi elevated, but for some reason it just wasn’t clicking yet, maybe because he only seemed vaguely familiar. He was assuming that it wouldn’t take him long to find out though…

Oh, this kid was a hyuga? that was honestly pretty weird, considering that he had a Hyuga on his squad and the boy didn't look anything like this stranger. For one thing, the kid had dark hair that was very typical for the normal Hyuga, and the boy had unnatural pure white eyes. It was a weird thing to see, but it was somehow weirder that a Hyuga didn't have them. He tried not to make it clear that he was judging this man, but he had a bit of him that was finding it hard to believe what he was saying. he was so different from all the other Hyuga that he had ever met... though, that being said, cross clan breeding wasn't uncommon, maybe he had just taken after one parent instead of the other. Besides, why would someone lie about something like that to a complete stranger in a bar. Though, he did notice just how nervous the boy was. It was like he saw Oshi as some sort of lion or something, just waiting there, ready to spring and eat him at any moment.

The boy was now blushing like crazy, though he wasn't entirely sure why. His eyes hadn't strayed onto the book yet, so that strategy seemed like it hadn't worked. Folding over the corner of the page that he had gotten up to so he could pick it back up later on, he put the book down on the table and paid attention to the boy entirely. So, he was blushing about something and it wasn't the book. Could it be that his guess about the guy had been correct, that he was indeed gay? If that was the case, he wondered just how to make the best of this situation. He seemed too shy to be able to be flirted with properly, he'd probably just blush and run away in a panic. He'd actually seen that happen before, though he had not been the one to cause it. He had, however, been the one to laugh his ass off when it happened. So he indulged in a little bit of schadenfreude, not like that made him a bad person.

Then the boy asked his name and he had to wonder, for a few seconds, if he could give it openly. He was supposed to work under a new identity for ANBU, which meant that if people were able to recognize the person under the mask then he'd be attacked outside of the missions. But, for the first thing, this guy seemed pretty harmless, and for the second thing, he could just pull his hair back or something if he was doing any missions for the organization, and having people see him permanently as someone like this might actually work to make people suspect him even less than usual.

"Me?" he asked, giving a winning smile, before giving his name. "My name is Oshiki Uchiha, lord of the Uchiha clan, and leader of squad four. But... you can call me Oshi." he said, trying to resist the urge to give him a more endearing pet name. He didn't know this boy yet, and whilst he was cute, there was such a thing as coming on too strong. He had learned this from his years in bars like this, though he'd never openly admit that.
"You seem nervous, did I do something wrong? If so, I can buy you a few rounds to make up for it, not like I'm low on cash or anything."
