Sairento Bakuhatsu

After his horrible defeat at the hands of the genin Suzume, Sairento was taken to the medical ward of the Ivory tower where he was cared for under the watchful eyes of many skilled medical shinobi. He had suffered bruises, a broken rib or two, cuts, and quite a few burns. He was in terrible shape, and had a burn on the right side of his head, near his temple and on his left cheek. They were also bruised as this had been where he was hit with the girl Suzume's tonfa. He had bruises on his shoulders, but those were not as bad as everything else. The burns were wrapped in gauze, with special medicine to heal them and the cut on his chest from the hit he took to attempt to trap the girl was closed, thanks to the quick thinking of a medical shinobi. He was now in a wagon drawn by a horse, on his way back to the village hidden in the mist.

The male sighed, laying in the wagon on a bed made specially for him. His head rested against a pillow and he stared at the sky, his eyes filling slowly with tears. He had let his squad, his kage, and his friend Isamu down. He had lost what should have been a simpler battle than what he made it out to be. The wounds he sustained would be healed by the time he arrived at the village, but the wounds on his ego could not be healed. He had lost his first fight because his concentration had wavered. He wasn't good enough. He wasn't good enough.. Was that it? Was he not good enough to even be a shinobi? Why did it have to end like this? Why did it have to be him that would return to his village sorrowed and broken from his fight. His eyes closed as the tears rolled down his cheeks, the words 'You will never be good enough!' repeating over and over in his head.

It wasn't too far from the village now and Sairento could feel the burns fading, his body beginning to regain its normal state. He was happy for this but still the tears came. How could he face his village after such a defeat? He had the chance to win, he'd had her where he wanted her and should have won! But..He froze up. He wasn't able to stop her from winning and he had missed his chance to become a chuunin. 'You're not cut out to be a ninja.' This thought hurt him the most. Was he really not cut out to be a ninja? He began to think on this more and more and kept putting himself down. It wasn't in his nature to be like this, he was usually able to be happy no matter what but this..there was no excuse for what happened. He clenched his fists, banging it against the side of the wagon he was riding in.

The driver looked back at him and sighed, looking back to the trail on towards Kirigakure no Sato. Sairento gritted his teeth, glaring at his hands. The hands that were unable to win him the exams round. He had to figure out something to make himself stronger so he could..No so he would not fail in his quest to become a stronger ninja. As part of the Igarashi clan, his main focus was blood usage and medical ninjutsu. But he also had some knowledge of fuuinjutsu and ninjutsu. Somehow..he would need to make himself stronger and use them to his advantage. His thoughts drifted back to Isamu and he began to ponder on what the other man would think of how badly he had lost or how he reacted.

The gates were in sight now, and the wagon continued along. By now, the only wounds left on the outside of his body were the bruises on each of his shoulders, his cracked ribs had been healed by the medical shinobi's jutsu. He was stretching in the back of the wagon as it came to a stop at the crossroads. The driver looked back and mentioned he was going to drop Sairento off here and go back to the Sunagakure no Sato. Sai simply nodded and hopped out of the wagon. He watched it turn and go back along its merry way towards where he'd just come and moved towards Kirigakure. He was almost back to the village now, the gates getting closer and closer and he sighed, shaking his head at his utter failure. He still couldn't believe that he had let everyone down and as he reached the gates, watching them swing open he could not bear to look at anyone in the eyes. They all seemed happy to have him home but none of them wanted to say anything. Word seemed to have already reached the village that he had lost, and as he finally completely entered the village, he noted the solemn, yet excited faces of his peers. Regardless of him winning or losing they were happy he was home, and he couldn't say the same. He sighed, pushing past everyone, making his way back to his house if only to get some rest or to never leave it again. He just wanted to sleep forever now and forget about everything that had happened within the last week or so, maybe just move past it and get stronger so it would no longer matter. Yes..He would definitely do that. He reached his house, sighing.
