Skye

Skye

D-rank
“Lunch… Clothes… Wallet… Equipment… That it…?” Skye was sitting in the center of his bedroom with all the things he would need for his upcoming trip to Suna. The items were all neatly organized and in rows. Sighing, Skye hopped up and walked over to his closet. Checking over everything that he might have forgotten, he deemed that everything he had was good enough and grabbed the backpack that was hanging on the side of the door. Walking back to the organized stacks of clothes and miscellaneous items, he packed up everything and headed downstairs. With a deep breath, he said goodbye to his family and went off into the inner workings of Kumo. He continued to walk and eventually made it to the main gate.

It had been a long while since he left Kumo. It was a bit nerve racking to go back to his original village. He had left so many years ago and could only imagine the things that might have changed. As he started off, he let his mind wander a bit. He started to remember all the people he once knew in Suna and what sort of new events had changed it. One prominent memory he had of his childhood in Suna was him trying to prank one of the many merchants. He stopped for a second to laugh at how much trouble he got in on a daily basis. He could remember the night he and his whole clan had to leave as well. Kumo was a very nice village, but he always had a place in his heart for Suna. With a sigh, he adjusted the straps on his backpack and continued to walk.

It was a long ways to Suna, but Skye had enough going around in his mind to keep him busy for the duration of the trip. He had been alternating between walking and running to his destination, so he was making good time. Skye eventually reached a point in his journey where he had to take a break. Finding a nice place to rest, he looked around where he had sat down to see where he might be. The area around him was very grassy and had many trees. He could tell if he was in the land of fire, or one of the side provinces. Whatever the case may be, he was going to enjoy his lunch then move on. Opening his backpack and sorting through the items, he eventually came to a bag which contained his lunch. Pulling out the contents of the bag, he mentally noted each article of food. The bag contained a water bottle, two rice balls, and a small assortment of cut up fruit. Eating the food rather quickly, he crumpled the bag up and stuck it in his backpack to throw away later. After stretching for a bit, he started back along the path to Suna.

It wasn’t too before he started feeling the familiar warmth of the sun. Reaching a small ridge, he could see a bright yellow mound of sand in the distance. There was no doubt in his mind that he was close to Suna now. With a sudden burst of energy, he hopped off the small cliff and started to run to the desert. Upon reaching the edge, he stopped and reached down to pick up a handful of sand. Letting it drain through his fingers, he looked up and started to walk into the desert. In just a few minutes, he could see the outer walls of Suna. With a smile, he walked towards them and entered into his old village.
