So... She had invited Yuudai out to dinner at a nice restaurant called, 'the Jade Garden'. She had not seen anything wrong with asking him out to dinner with her, she was just trying to show him what the village looked like, and some of the few places she knew of, while he was here. She thought that the Jade Garden would be a great place to get food, it's menu ranged from grilled steak to nigirimeshi to pan fried noodles in teriyaki sauce. You couldn't go wrong.

Earlier, before leaving her house, she had dressed up in a deep blue ao dai, the front of the chest decorated with small but beautiful white and silver flowers. The leggings of her Ao dai were stark white. Her wavy hair was down in a long ashen blonde waterfall. Aside from that she was wearing clear lip gloss. She had no real need for foundation and concealer; her skin tone was naturally even.

So she had came to the restaurant, and gotten a table for two, ordering a glass of red wine as she waited for him to appear. She had arrived early, ten minutes early for the time that they had agreed on. The inside of the building was decorated in a magnificent way, though, a jade green was an apparent theme.

When he had received word about what he was invited to, there was nothing he needed to fret about. It was a simple dinner that Haruto Himitsu, the one person he seemed to talk to more than others in Kumogakure and the person he would take back to Kirigakure, had invited him to. He had mentioned the day he was at her home that he would see her again in a few days time, and she had taken the initiative of inviting him out to dinner at the Jade Garden. While he had thought spending more time with her would be nice, as they would be spending some time traveling in the near future, Yuudai thought it would be beneficial for them to go out for dinner, though lunch could have obviously worked as well. He had decided to leave Suichi back at the hotel, still not having introduced his companion to the blonde female he would be having dinner with. There was no real reason behind it, but he knew, had a feeling, that the restaurant probably wouldn't want him there.

Not entirely sure about the quality of the restaurant, nor the atmosphere, Yuudai decided to go with his traditional black kimono, finding it would more than suitable for the occasion. As he made his way through the village, trying to find the location, he couldn't help but think he should have left a bit earlier, though knowing his timing, he'd probably arrive exactly on time or a few minutes before. He got to see more of the village, though he'd rather find the restaurant at the moment. After walking for what seemed like an endless amount of time, Yuudai came across the designated restaurant, clearly able to define the building from the sign they had hanging on the outside of the building. Informing the hostess of who he was with, Yuudai was guided to the table where Himitsu was currently seated, though he had arrived before the actual time they agreed upon. Not exactly knowing what to do, as he hadn't went out to eat with others before, he would spurt out the first few things to come to mind, though it certainly wouldn't seem like it. As he was taking his seat, he greeted her, though a bit awkwardly. "Hello there Himitsu-san." Was a compliment in order? He remembered something about compliments being great. "You look great." He really wasn't great at this, nor did he think he was. His limited experiences seemed to be showing, at least to him. "How have you been?" It had been a few days, he doubted too much had changed over the days that had went by. But, asking was what one usually did anyways.

She heard the hostess's voice along with a lower one, and a familiar, cold chakra. Yuudai had arrived, a few moments early to be precise. She heard as he slid his chair out so that he could take a seat. She smiled as he greeted her, returning by greeting him back in a polite manner, "Good evening Yuudai-san."

She couldn't really help but blush a soft pink colour when he complimented her, telling her that she looked good. She wasn't used to being complimented by people, especially by men. Every other time some guy had hit on her in some blatantly gross way, staring at her chest and ass or otherwise making comments, or coming on too strong. She couldn't say that she hated attention, but she disliked being doted over by complete strangers... It just made her uncomfortable that people liked her for her tits or her ass, and not her personality. That was the thing she wanted to be loved for. how she acted, not how she looked. People with sight could just be so disrespectful and disregarding of the gift that they had. They could gaze upon a person's physical aspects, they could look from afar, yet she was stuck in her world of darkness, the only way she could see the world was from her hearing, from touch and smell... But... That just never felt like enough. She wanted to see the beautiful starry night sky and moon that people talked about, the bright green of the new growth, even the brown of decay. She wanted to see. She wanted to see the world for herself, not just sit there in darkness, forever deprived of it.

All of these thoughts passed in the briefest of moments, and she heard Yuudai beginning to speak, asking her how she had been since the last time they saw each other. Last time they had spoken had been two days prior, they had woken up to each other, slightly confused with a headache, and had tea... Then he had hugged her, her first hug. She had never thought that a hug could feel good, even if he wasn't warm she had still enjoyed it greatly. Just the comfort of someone holding her close, even if it didn't mean anything romantic. It still made her feel like she mattered to someone, she had never mattered before... She didn't know how it made her feel... Smiling, she responded, "My headache is gone, and I've gotten most of the things I want to bring packed up. It's not much I'm bringing with myself. So, how've you been?"

She brought her wine glass to her lips, taking a small sip. The liquid was cold on her full lips and mouth. The bottle of wine she had ordered wasn't going to be strong enough to get her as stupidly drunk as she had been the other night, at least if Yuudai wanted to split the bottle, or maybe have a glass with her. She wasn't planning on getting drunk, at least not tonight. She didn't want an awkward repeat of their first meeting, as she doubted that it would be beneficial towards their relationship. "I ordered a bottle of wine, have a glass if you want while we wait for the server." She said in a soft tone.

She shifted in her chair once more, crossing her legs under the table and sitting up a bit more, not really bothering to 'look' at the menu. She knew what she wanted to eat already, the hostess had told her several things on the menu when she had originally arrived. Her eyes looking at Yuudai's face, she spoke again, "So, what's your favourite food?"

His eyes were focused on the person in front of him, the one person in Kumogakure he could remember by name. Noticing the slight twinge of her cheeks changing colour caused him to almost raise en eyebrow, though he did not, mainly because it wouldn't matter either way. He was being bluntly honest, something he preferred doing than blatantly saying something false. It seemed like a nice evening for dinner, and to experience one of the many restaurants he could not due to his home village lacking different businesses, it was a welcomed changed. He supposed the menus would be familiar to a certain degree, yet the food itself would have its own distinct flavour. Thus, he was looking forward to the evening, to having dinner.

He recalled the last time they met, or rather were together, at her apartment. While he did not try to remember what happened the night before then, still not able to come to terms with what transpired, but knowing that there was no way to reverse it, Yuudai mainly focused on the details regarding their inevitable travel in the future, and the nice, yet somewhat awkward, morning they shared. It had started quiet odd, but the slow transition to.... normal? was welcome. It was like how his mornings were in his own home, after having moved out on his own, though being kept company by Suichi. How he was from the last time they were together? He was quiet fine. "I've been well. Just had to deal with Suichi and trying to speed up the process of finding a teacher. Other than that, there haven't been any issues."

As she took a sip of something, wine perhaps, Yuudai's wondered back to the first time they met. Surely they wouldn't want a repeat, that was for sure. While he had taken wine before, he'd much rather just drink water, something simpler. Though, when she offered, he knew it was rude for him to decline, though he would take his time with the glass. Probably delaying having to drink it, even if the wine wouldn't be as strong as the other days drinks. "A glass would be fine." He reached for the empty glass, the cold surface becoming colder due to the area of where his hand pressed against the surface, shifting it around a bit for him to easily pour the wine. The bottle of wine would be the same, as he reached to pour his own glass. As he finished pouring the wine to his glass, a simple question was posed to him by Himitsu, his favourite food. Simple. That was how he liked his food. While extravagant food was good, he preferred the food he used to eat at home, the food his mother used to make, the one's he learned to make prior to moving out. "I don't particularly have a favourite, but rather I enjoy eating  homemade meals. Though, if I did have to pick one, it'd be something different, probably samosas." He wondered if she knew what they were, as it wasn't something most would exactly know about, or at least he supposed it to be that way. "What would be yours?" He had a feeling she would have answered it if he didn't ask, but he felt it was best to talk more this evening. It would be odd for him to stay quiet, to have a dinner with someone at a restaurant and keeping quiet wouldn't sit right with him, nor would he consider it proper.

So he had been fine since the last time that they had talked. That was good. Him being fine was a good thing in her opinion. Maybe it was because she enjoyed his company... Why did she enjoy his company? Maybe it was because of his quiet nature, and how he acted shy, or perhaps because of how respectful he was towards her, despite the fact that they had done what they had done with each other. She simply nodded her head in response to his answer, and then proceeded with, "So, have you had any luck in your pursuit to acquire a genjutsu teacher yet? I would offer my help , if only I knew anyone that could use genjutsu; but alas, I do not."

She heard him agree to a glass of wine, the sound of his clothes rubbing against each other, and the sound of liquid hitting the glass as he poured himself some of the red wine. Why, in fact, was she enjoying his personality so much? Well, he was a lovely break from the generally truculent people she tended to run into in the market, a break from the overly hyper and talkative people one could run into at a park. He was different from the normal dregs of society, from what she could tell, he had class. Unlike some of the dogs that she had dealt with before. He carried himself with a somewhat unapproachable air, something that would make anyone submissive around him feel awkwardly out of place. Except her. She was only submissive towards certain people, and then only to a certain extent. Naturally, due to how she had been raised, she was submissive towards men, but she didn't just follow their every whim and wish; no, that was a type of submissive that was reserved for one's lover or husband. She obviously lacked that person, and therefore she had no need to be that submissive to anyone.

The sound of his voice pulled her back into reality once again. What was he talking about? Oh, yeah, right. He was answering her inquiry on what his favourite food was. He was saying that he didn't have a favourite in particular, and that he just really prefered homemade meals, but if he were to chose, he would chose samosas. So he liked homemade food? She nodded her head softly to this answer. What was homemade food like? She had never gotten served a hot plate of food by her mother, the abuser had always given Himi cold, lower quality leftovers from her plate, and then only after a long day of cleaning and begging for food. Pathetic, she had been a pathetic child. Meek and timid, ignorantly following orders in fear of being hit again... She wondered to herself what a true homemade meal tasted like, sure she made and ate her own food at home, never making anything super elaborate or anything, but she had never had a warm meal cooked for her by someone else.

Wait, he had asked her a question. What did he ask her? What was her favourite food? Hmmm.... What was her favourite food? She was fond of onigiri, but she also liked mei fun. Or rather, she could say that she liked food that just wasn't flavoured as strong as it would be normally. It wasn't that she disliked flavour, she just couldn't bear it being strong due to her somewhat heightened sense of taste. So... What was her favourite food? "Hmm... My favourite food? Well, I have a strong sense of taste, so I lean towards the blander foods like Onigiri or Mei fun. What type of Samosa do you like?"

After a few moments, the server, a pretty dark haired girl with freckles and glasses, came to their table. She was wearing a stark white shirt with black pants and black shoes, her medium length hair pulled back into a high ponytail. She smiled, dipping her head before introducing herself as Hiyako Hanso-san, before asking if they were ready to order. Himitsu glanced to Yuudai, she didn't want to say that they were ready if he hadn't had enough time to look over the menu and pick what he wanted.

"Yuudai-san, are you ready to order? I already know what I want." It was true, the hostess had explained the specials and several items on the menu to her before Yuudai had joined her. Needless to say, she was ordering a plate of chicken Mei fun. It had been a while since she had enjoyed some mei fun, so why not have some tonight? Shifting slightly, she sipped some more of her wine.

Genjutsu. He was still working on finding a suitable instructor, one that wouldn't waste his time for the task at hand. He knew that he should finish as soon as possible, to return to his home village, to bring her along with him, but there was only so many factors that he could personally control. The rest was up to chance to find a suitable teacher. The only thing he could possibly do was hope that chance was on his side and he'd be able to find a teacher sooner or later. Rather, sooner than later. "No real luck as of yet, though if I don't find one, we'll return to Kiri at the end of next week. I just hope it doesn't come to that and we can leave earlier, but I can only do so much."

He took a sip of the wine, an unfamiliar taste due to the limited times he drank it, numbering in the middle portion of single digit numbers. His thoughts brought him back to Kirigakure, and by association, Himitsu as well. He'd be taking her along with him, how would he explain the circumstances surrounding them to the Mizukage? And, what if his mother found out? Would she ask questions? Thinking about the potentially situations wouldn't help him, nor would they be pleasing for tonight's dinner. He would deal with them as they came, just hoping he wouldn't have to go in to details. The one meeting he was more weary of, if it did come about, was the one with his mother, if she somehow came to get a clue about what occurred. He didn't know how she'd react if she ever found out about his first encounter with Himitsu. It wasn't necessarily embarrassment or regret, but rather the questions and comments that would be brought about from her knowledge of it. Though it did work in his favour that that only two who knew of the events that occurred were himself and Himitsu, so the chances of others knowing was slim. Adding in that they were in another village would also help keep it quiet.

There wasn't much else he could state about his favourite food when asked about it. He never really was too picky with what he ate, so long as it satisfied his stomach and taste buds. "It's hard to choose just one. I guess I'd say almost any? As long as it has an adequate taste."

As the waitress came along, with Himitsu then asking if he was ready to order, Yuudai took a quick glance at the menu. He already knew what he wanted to eat, as it wasn't too difficult of a decision. As a restaurant, he expected everything to taste good, thus deciding was simple. Try something he rarely had. "Ah, yes. I'm ready to order. I'll have Yakisoba."

She nodded at his response, a smile playing at the edge of her lips as she sipped more of her drink. She was enjoying the cool and slightly bitter taste of her red wine. Why red wine? Because white wine was for pansies. Her thoughts drifted to another subject as the conversation lulled a bit.

The village hidden in the mist... Her home village. Yuudai had told her about it before, but she was still curious. What would it be like? What would the weather feel like? How would the Mizukage react to her returning? Where would she be living? Yuudai had previously assured her that she would have a place to live once she returned to the village, but once she returned, she would have to re-learn the entire layout of the village once more. Kirigakure had burned to the ground sometime after she had gone missing from the village; who would be her escort? She already knew in the back of her mind that she would be highly uncomfortable with anyone other than Yuudai leading her about her village, but she didn't want to be a burden to him. She hated being a burden. If only she had sight. She wondered if her and Yuudai would continue to speak and or spend time with each other when they returned home. She hoped so, she was fond of his personality already; so at the least, she wanted them to stay friends.

Her thoughts continued to wander; eventually bringing her mind back to her concern about being pregnant. What if she was pregnant? How would Yuudai react? Would he suggest her getting an abortion, or would he not mind a child? She hoped that he would not mind; and that was simply due to the fact that if she was pregnant, she had no plans of abortion. She was weird like that, or rather, she valued all life, and already knew that if she had such a tiny, fragile and precious thing such as a child growing in her womb? She simply would not be able to bring herself to kill and destroy it. Maybe it was because she knew how delicate life was, and how hard it was for some people to conceive and carry to full term. It was a drawback of knowledge, once one had it, it was hard to ignore the consequences of one's own conscious. If she was indeed pregnant, she planned on keeping the baby. It was her baby. Nothing that anyone said or did was going to change her opinion, it was her baby and she would raise it, nurture it and love it, even if Yuudai didn't participate. He would just have to miss out on the joy of being a parent.

She vaguely noticed the waitress jot the order down before leaving. After a few short moments, their food was brought out and placed in front of them. The heavenly smell of her Mei Fun made her snap back to attention. Hiyako-san placed a pair of beautifully decorated white chopsticks in front of them both, asking if there was anything else they needed. "May I have a glass of ice water please?" The waitress nodded and turned to Yuudai, waiting to see if he wanted anything. After his response, she would nod and walk away, going to tend to the other tables in her section.

Himi smiled up at Yuudai, picking her chopsticks up with a graceful right hand, scooping some of the noodles into her mouth, chewing and swallowing, savouring the taste. The food was wonderful here, not over spiced, not under spiced, just enough to make her taste buds come to life. After a moment, she asked, "So, do you have many friends back in Kirigakure?"

There was a brief pause from the last time he spoke and the waitress inevitable return to their table. He indulged in the moments of silence, the chatter of other customers in the restaurant reaching his ears, yet not registering a single word. His eyes were ahead of him, though lazily looking downwards, at the glass of wine he poured moments ago, relatively empty due to short amount he had given himself. His mind began to wonder over to what would have possibly happened to him had he not left Kirigakure. Maybe he could have waited a while, for someone to arrive there. Where would that place him? It was probably better for him to accept his choices, knowing that there was no point of thinking of the 'what if's', the could have been situations. What's done is done. Whatever the result, is the result. His future was still open, knowing that he would focus more on the well-being of Kirigakure until something significant occurred for him to change his mind, change his priorities. There were only few situations that would cause him to alter his priorities, but the village would always remain at the top. His family, friends, and the village; including it's citizens, were always at the top, however limited the numbers were.

His pondering was cut to a halt as a plate was set before him, his meal. The dish of Yakisoba set before him clearly hit his sense of smell, though his mind still remained elsewhere at the moment. He'd have to accept what was to come, whatever it would be, and make the best of it. The waitress, whose name Yuudai could only vaguely recall, placed the chopsticks next to his plate, proceeding to ask if he would need anything else. After Himitsu had asked for an ice cold glass of water, he proceeded to order his own. "A glass of water, please." Once the waitress made her way to the other tables, Yuudai's eyes lowered to his meal, though clearly seeing the smile that graced Himitsu's features.

He took his time with his meal, taking in small amounts at a time. He wasn't so much preoccupied thinking about his previous thoughts, but rather them travelling towards home. He wasn't gone for long, yet he still missed it. If it would take the full two weeks, he knew he'd be anxious to get home as soon as possible. His musings were only slightly interrupted by Himitsu's question. Friends? Whom would he even consider a friend? "I'm well acquainted with quiet a few people. Though there aren't many that I talk to frequently." He wasn't sure where the discussion was going, though he supposed that his companion for the evening wanted to know more about Kirigakure, even if it was about people that she may not have known. "You may meet familiar people, maybe not. Though, I'm sure you'd be able to become friends with quiet a few people."

She ate her meal bit by bit, savouring the taste of the scallions, the chicken and the sauce that the noodles were cooked in. Mei fun, after all, was one of her favourite dishes. She nodded at his answer, chewing her food slowly as she thought over his answer. He had said that he was well acquainted with several people, not that he had several friends, and he also said that he didn’t engage conversation with many people, and not often for that matter. He assured her that she would become friends with new people, but that didn’t bother her. She wasn’t one to yearn for a large group of friends or followers, in fact, it was quite the opposite. She didn’t want to be followed around, and she despised the thought of multiple people knowing about her everyday life, knowing about whatever drama happened to be occurring in her house. She enjoyed her privacy to an immense extent, such an extent due to the fact that she was paranoid about rumours and other vicious lies being spread about her by less than trustworthy people that pretended to be her friends.

She sighed, lost in thought as she continued to enjoy her plate, vaguely noticing that the waitress had brought them both glasses of water; Himi’s glass having ice, and Yuudai’s containing no ice. The fact that he too was likely secretive, or withdrawn made her curious, it made her want to figure him out even more, to find out his personality and to become his friend, someone that he could trust and talk to without having to hide away his true feelings and thoughts. Maybe she was weird, but she liked becoming friends with people that were introverted, and after all this guy was going to be the one escorting her back home to the Hidden Mist Village. There was advantages to knowing him better than just the average passer-by.

She paused her eating, putting her chopsticks down. She was almost done with her food even though she had eaten it at a decent pace. Reaching over with her right hand, she took her glass of wine and enjoyed another swallow of the bitterly sweet red liquid. Periwinkle eyes looked at Yuudai, waiting for him to pause in his eating before she spoke up with another question. “I have to relearn the layout of the new village. Do you know if it would be possible for me to get some kind of escort, and who would be escorting me?”

He contemplated the answer he had given her relating to his relations in Kirigakure, though he wasn't ashamed of his answer as it was the truth. Beyond the people he spoke to more regularly, there weren't many others with whom he talked to. Rather, his focus was on how he was being perceived, though it clearly wasn't something he needed to fret about. Instead, he'd go back to slowly eating his meal, taking his time until Himitsu would speak up, unless it became unbearable, then he'd have to voice out something. While he didn't talk much in the presence of people he barely knew, the occasion was different, and he had a feeling remaining silent would make the evening rather... odd. He vaguely noticed the glass being placed before him, though not paying much attention to it.

Once again, Himitsu's voice brought him out of his inner thoughts. Who would be escorting Himitsu through the village? From the task provided, it seemed like a task that would be labelled as a D-ranking mission. Though, he wasn't exactly sure if it would be classified as such. "I'd think it'd be the Mizukage's choice to decide who would be the one to escort you around the village. As far as who it would be, I have no idea. It could be anyone in the village." He doubted it would be labelled as a mission, though it clearly would fit as one. A simple one at that. He suspected that the Mizukage would just assign a single person to do the task, or allow Himitsu to decide. It wasn't in his power to decide that. His meal was relatively done by this point, just a few more bits and he'd be done with his food. It wasn't like he rushed it, as he took his time with it.

She nodded to his answer. So, to put it shortly, her fate was in the Mizukage's hands. Her place of living and her ability to navigate the village would be based on Solstice-sama's decisions. Picking her chopsticks up with a graceful right hand she would proceed to finish her food. The meal had been rather wonderful, the only thing that she thought tasted better was homemade Tanuki Udon, and now that she thought of it, she craved some Udon. Maybe she would make herself some tomorrow for lunch or dinner. She put the ivory white chopsticks down gently, and took her wine glass in her right hand, finishing off the small amount the was in her glass before putting the cork into the bottle's opening tightly, as so it would not spill when she was carrying it home tonight.

Soon the waitress came back to the table, asking if they wanted to have dessert, after a slight pause, himi shook her head and declined.  Hiyako placed the check in between them and  would begin taking up what would now be their empty plates. With a polite smile, Himi reached forward and took the check, withdrawing a card from a pocket in her leggings and handing it all to the waitress. After the young woman walked away, Himitsu would say, "I invited you out to this dinner, it would only be proper if I paid for it, no?" She said in a rhetorical way.

In a short moment the waitress was back, handing Himi a pen and a receipt for her to sign her signature. Sighing softly, Himi put an X-mark on the line followed by a few strange dots. She had written her name in braille, and x-ed it incase that wouldn't suffice. Handing the receipt back to the waitress, she received a glare and a 'Are you serious? You're illiterate?' mumbled comment from the brood. Glancing up at the girl Himi gave a deadpanned expression out of sheer annoyance. She had heard the girl as clearly as one could hear a pen drop in a silent room. The waitress seemed taken back at the fact that her comment was heard. "Just because I do not wear sunglasses, and walk with a cane does not mean that I am not what I am. You shouldn't let looks deceive you, nor should you be so impolite to a paying customer." Her tone was short sounding, displaying that it was a rather touchy subject to her. Getting up from the table, she began walking to the door, shooing the waitress away from her. Glancing back at Yuudai, "I apologise for that. I happen to be rather touchy about impolite comments on my condition. ... I had fun dining with you tonight, and I hoped that you enjoyed this as well."
