Lukyo

Lukyo

D-rank
As dismal and dreary the rainy day was, Lukyo was running low on food and so had to push himself out of the comforts of his bed and go to the marketplace to shop for some food. He still felt sluggish from his recent bough with his illness (he mutters curses every time when he thinks about it) and was just getting over it. If he had things his way, he wouldn't be up at all but as usual, fate had to always kick him in the pants.

Sighing, Lukyo watched the people around him happily chatter away as they walked, holding hands, in the cold rain. Luckily for him, Lukyo remembered to bring his umbrella this time so his white clothes didn't get wet. Running a hand through his hair, his greenish eyes looked around at the assortment of fruits and breads and veggies, trying to figure out which ones would be cheap enough for him to afford.

The distraction, the noise, and the still burning sickness all were factors...at least to him...for running into someone and causing him to stumble back a few steps and nearly fall over into the mud.

Takeshi

Takeshi

Retired
Takeshi didn't know why he was walking out in the rain on this day. He always kept his blinds to his windows closed so it was hard to tell the weather outside anyway. He thought he would just walk outside and get some fresh air, but now he was on his way to some sort of restaurant since he could hear his stomach growling. He had a black umbrella with his normal attire of jeans, boots, and jacket. The only thing that changed was that his jacket was zipped up to fit the weather. His bright red hair still managed to stand out on this depressing day, still catching the eyes of many people as he strolled through the streets with one hand in his pockets. Most people were under some sort of cover, but still some were out and about on this not so forgiving day. Takeshi zoned out thinking about what he should have for lunch when he felt something hit against his arm. Coming out of his state, Takeshi looked around to see what exactly did he bump against. He saw someone was on the ground, so Takeshi figured it was him who knocked this person down on accident. Lowering his hand down to help the person up, he saw that it was a young boy who had a similar color in hair. Takeshi held his hand out and waited for the young boy to grab it.

Lukyo was lucky enough not to land in even a puddle, the last thing he wanted to happen was to have his condition revert back to day one (aka: passing out). The next thing he knew, the person he had bumped into held out a hand but said not a word. Lukyo's eyes flickered briefly to the spiked up red hair that stood out against the black umbrella. He stupidly stared at the man for a moment, trying to place the face but quickly gave up. He had no time nor patience to try and remember things in his groggy state.

Mumbling a quick thanks, Lukyo took the hand but had it so that his sleeve touched the man's skin, Lukyo didn't want him to know he was getting over a bout of sickness though honestly, even he couldn't tell if the man would have noticed or not. Lukyo looked back up to the man, "Err...sorry about that, I didn't mean to run into you like that...." He said in an awkward fashion.

Takeshi lifted the boy up with little struggle on to his feet again and put his hand back in his pocket. Takeshi didn't like kids, though he hated being rude even more, so this was more a less a one time thing. Though, he still felt bad for almost knocking him into a puddle. Takeshi let out a breath of air in frustration and walked a little bit ahead of the boy. Without turning around and facing the boy, he spoke to him. If you want something to eat, we can go to a restaurant, I'll pay for anything. And with that he began to walk towards the restaurant of his choice. The boy could follow if he wanted to, but Takeshi was heading that way anyway. His boots splash water in all directions and made a squish noise with every step he took. The rain that fell on his umbrella was forming into droplets that fell off with every step Takeshi took. The rain even made a weird noise as it fell onto the umbrella, something that Takeshi didn't hear too often. The rain that fell on the ground however made a noise that Takeshi always liked, it calmed him down, and even relaxed him.

It was a tense feeling Lukyo felt that made him curious about the man. He had offered him food even though he seemed...reluctant to do so. Lukyo didn't know what exactly to say but had caught himself staring curiously at the man, as if he had a sudden white aura around him that glowed from far ahead. To the boy, there was nothing but the sounds of rain and people that lulled his mind as he watched the back of the man carefully only to realize after what seemed like hours to him...that he was following the man.

He didn't want to seem like a stalker so Lukyo picked up the paste a bit and caught up, walking to the man's left but more to the back, not really sure whether he should or shouldn't but being the big fan of food that he was, Lukyo wouldn't pass the chance.

The air seemed humid with the rain and the recent warm weather but yet for everyone, it was necessary for them to bundle up from the rain. Lukyo, on the other hand, merely wore his white pants and over shirt, his red shirt laying under neath but opted for his ninja sandals so that he wouldn't slip on the wet grounds. Lukyo's eyes flickered up to the man for a moment before focusing ahead, not really liking the silence but didn't want to bother him either.

After a short walk, Takeshi found himself at the BBQ restaurant that always had good food. Takeshi could smell the sweet sauce they used to marinate the meat over night. Mixed in with this smell was the sound of meat being cook on a stove. The smoke from the restaurant could still be seen through the rain. Looking behind him, his amber colored eyes gazed upon the boy who looked like he was uncomfortable. Takeshi could understand this, after all, Takeshi was a complete stranger the boy. He was surprised the boy even followed Takeshi, he turned back around to face the restaurant once again. Before completely entering the place, he closed his umbrella and shook off the rain. He put it in the appropriate place for the wet umbrellas and went to go sit down at a table. The way the restaurant had it set up, Takeshi could cook the meat himself if he wanted to, thanks to a stove being made into the table. He looked at the menu they had on the table and stared at his selections. He could choose from the well known meats like beef, chicken, and pork. They also had more selections to choose from, like rabbit and squirrel. Takeshi looked up from the menu and at the boy with a cold look on his face. What do you want to eat. You can get anything you like.

Lukyo had almost ran into him again when the man stopped and turned to him, giving him a studying look which made Lukyo's face scrunch up in confusion. The smells of meats and frying veggies made his stomach growl softly, they were at a BBQ place that Lukyo would walk by on occasion. Though he couldn't afford to eat out much, he always wanted to try some of the foods. The thought of a nicely cooked piece of rabbit with mushrooms and onion made his mouth water. He liked that it was an open stove top table, he would be able to cook his meat how he liked it.

Lukyo didn't realize that they had taken their seats, his eyes quickly flickering to where he put his umbrella before turning his attention back to the man, staring at him for a moment before looking outside, "Rabbit...with mushrooms and onion...." He said before giving a short cough and looking back, obviously knowing that the man wouldn't care very much for what he was going to say next.

"My name is Daichi Lukyo...."
