A few weeks ago, Skye had become a Spec. Jounin and immediately requested a squad. Having just been appointed to the position, it was quite a surprise that his request for a team was granted – partially. It wasn’t but three days after his request was granted that he received word that two Genin had joined his squad. One he was familiar with, and the other was new. Skye had already received their files and decided to not read them. Not because of laziness, but because he felt a few pieces of paper didn’t exactly sum up who a person was like. He sent a letter for the girl of his squad to meet up with him by the Tethys Grounds. Although he didn’t receive a letter back, he assumed that the girl had gotten it and would be on her way once reading it.

Knowing it was a comfortable area to just talk near the grounds, he also picked them for other reasons. The grounds could also be used to spar, so if the girl wanted to try to test him in a quick fight, she could. If she simply wanted to talk to him, she could. Not knowing the girl’s personality or even her skills as a ninja were making Skye second-guess himself about reading the files. He was already at the grounds, so there wasn’t really an option for him to read them at this point. With a sigh, he sat down and laid back. Waiting for his new student was rather nerve racking for him. Being a mentor to someone was something that was new and somewhat exciting for him. It was probably going to take the girl a while, so he let his mind wander as he waited for the girl to arrive.

Aya as usual was relaxing in her small cottage on the edges of Kumogakure with a warm cup of coffee resting in her hand as she sat on the floor her dog Leo resting in her lap. The two sat by a makeshift fireplace enjoying the warm it provided them when they heard a knock on the door. Letting out a silent sigh the girl got up from her spot on the floor with her husky following right behind her. Must be a message from the Kage since very few knew where she resisted opening the door the girl was greeted by a little boy. In his hand was a white letter that he handed to her with a bow before quickly leaving most likely scared of being this far in the woods. What does it say aya her dog said as he jumped to see.

He seemed excited at reading the letter. As the young girl opened it her eyes got wide and she threw it down in frustrated it was times like this she hated not being able to speak. As the dog used his paws to flip it so he could read it he barked in excitement. Aya this is great now we can get you some friends. I mean don't get me wrong I don't want this either but it's time you met some other ninja. We can't be loners for ever we need to meet our comrades. Aya was shocked he never went against her. The two were trained to read each other's body language so well along with a sign language only they knew and had created so that others wouldn't understand them. So he could clearly tell she was mad with him. Fine let's go she signed to him.

As the two headed to the Tethys Grounds as she arrived she saw a weird looking guy waving at her. Must be her new sensei.

Skye though he saw a figure approaching behind him, so he moved his head up slightly to look behind him. Upon seeing the girl and dog, he hopped up off the ground and brushed himself off. Assuming that was the girl whom he sent the letter to, he waved and began walking over to her. His eyes drifted down towards the dog that was with her. There was no doubt that it was a pet, but perhaps there was something more to it. Leaving the thought alone, he brought his attention back on the girl. As he got closer he smiled and held out a hand to greet her with a handshake. “Hello. I’m guessing you’re Aya Inuzuka?” His voice seemed to sound calm and friendly. He wasn’t too sure if the girl was actually his student, or just some girl passing through. Considering there was no way he could have known, it wouldn’t hurt to take a chance and guess.

Now that he was a bit closer to the girl and her dog, he noticed a few things. The girl was somewhat shorter than him, and seemed a little held back when he came close. It almost seemed as if she was giving Skye a weird look before he walked up, but he wasn’t too sure if she was doing so or not. Whatever the case may be, once he knew for sure that this was his student, he could get started. What he planned to do about his students was quite simple. He wanted to get to know them fully and allow them to speak for themselves. No matter what it would be, he would do his best to compensate what they want from the things he had learned throughout his years of being a ninja.

“Hello. I’m guessing you’re Aya Inuzuka?” Your guessing right spoke Leo as he looked up at the man. Nice to meet you sensei I'm leo and this is Aya. Another worry for Aya now that she would have to explain why her dog was talking for her. Honestly this was getting old. Grabbing her notebook and pen from Leo she wrote a short message to her new mentor."Hello Leo talks for me since I am unable to speak sorry I would like if we not talk about why I like to keep it to myself" Aya wasn't happy to have a sensei neither was Leo but he was the better of the duo. Unlike Aya he was more cheerful and open minded so he didn't mind at least trying to make friends. Don't mind her um sorry we don't know your name sir mind telling us. Well I'm guessing you would like to know some stuff about us and Aya can't stop me from talking so I'll answer them whether she wants me to or not. Well since she's my owner she can but I'll try to force her not too kay.

Aya rolled her eyes at her companion waiting for her "Sensei" to ask away.

Skye tilted his head slightly when the dog spoke. It wasn’t something he was used to seeing, and he never really heard an animal speak before. Even though it did startle him a bit, he brushed it off and simply smiled at the dog. His guess that this was his new student was correct. “Nice to meet you Leo and Aya.” Before he could introduce himself, he got distracted by the girl writing a quick message and giving it to her dog. Hearing the dog translate what was on the paper, he grinned slightly. The girl was mute apparently. Not like Skye was judging her for it. The two definitely seemed connected and in-sync with one another. Again, the dog talked and asked for his name. “My name is Skye Nekito and I’m your Sensei.” Sensei – the word was odd being said. It felt unnatural and not something that he ever though he would call himself. After a bit more statements were given by the dog, Skye prepared himself to ask a few questions, as wells as make a few statements.

The girl looked miserable, while the dog looked the exact opposite. It made him wonder what Aya was thinking. Noticing that she rolled her eyes at her dog, he shrugged and began talking. “Uh… I guess I asked you here to get to know you better. I’ve received your file, but I didn’t read it at all. I don’t think a piece of paper really tells the entire story… So… Why don’t you two tell me a little about yourselves, then I’ll do the same.” With a friendly grin, Skye put his arms behind his back and waited patiently. Thinking for a moment, he wondered if the girl was nervous and didn’t want to be there, or annoyed that she had to join a team. Whatever the case was, Skye would surely find out.

((OOC: Could you color the character's speech and maybe use " ... " to separate them? I'm having a hard time reading what's being said, and what isn't.))

(I tend to not use putting so my writing gets confusing so I'm going to start using it so that it isn't)

Aya stared at the her new sensei no kind of emotion could been seen on her face, but what was happening in her head was a different story than what she appeared to be. She was raging on the inside; the idea that this guy was trying to ask about her life was causing her to be get furious. But before she could deny the offer to talk Leo had stepped up to handle the situation. At first she was sure he was going to warn the man about prying, but instead he shocked her. "Well you see my Aya is not the one to talk about herself since she a loner I'm starting to grow worried about her really" he said cheerfully. Aya tried to signal him to shut-up but, he kept going. "Well she's a taijutsu and ninjutsu user and she likes to practice it a lot". "The girl is really serious about it" he explained. "If you ask me she takes the whole being as shinobi thing too seriously".

"She's hoping to become a anbu one day and as her companion I of course would be by her side the whole way". "Normally I wouldn't have told you all of this, but Aya is a little lonely and honestly I think she could use a friend like you". "I'm counting on you sensei to make sure she can make more friends and become a anbu someday" The dog sat there his tail wagging as Aya thought up the ways she could torture him when they headed back home.

Interesting was the only word Skye could summarize the dog’s description of Aya’s skills and hopes. Although he wasn’t too efficient with Taijutsu, he could definitely help Aya with her Ninjutsu. The fact that she wanted to join Anbu made Skye think a bit more about what Aya wanted to accomplish in doing so. Was it love of her village? Was it personal reasons? Whatever it may have been, Skye would most likely find out at a later date. It was probably smart to not go too in depth with the reasons behind her choices.

Now that Leo had given a fair amount of information about Aya, Skye nodded and began to talk. “Well, I guess it’s my turn now. I’ve recently been promoted to a Special Jounin and have only gotten assigned a team not too long ago. I’m eager to see what you can do, as well as the others that are being assigned to me. Let’s see… Uh… I come from a clan that specializes in Genjutsu and dabbles in a bit of Ninjutsu as well, so I’d say I’m pretty competent in both. I used to live in Suna, but my clan migrated here to have a change of scenery.  I’ve only been here less than a year, but I rather like Kumo.” Skye paused for a moment to think about what else to say. “Uh… I guess my dream is to develop my own Genjutsu and contribute to Kumo in the best way I can…” Scratching the back of his head, he couldn’t think of anything else he really needed to share.

Skye thought for a moment before speaking again. “I’ll honor what you’re asking me to do Leo. I’ll do anything and everything in my power to help Aya become an Anbu.” With a small grin, he changed the tone of his voice to more of a sincere one. “-and maybe make a few friend along the way. But for now, I guess I’ll leave what we do next up to you Aya. If you’d like to spar, continue to talk, maybe go out to eat, anything you’d like to do really.”

Aya just wanted to go home, but since Lep wanted to stay and talk. She just wrote another message or him to read "I hope don't mind can we just go out for something I'm hungry right now" Leo read aloud for the man. Leo was giving her that look the one that told her he was worried. He really wanted her to get along with Skye. She couldn't disappoint him so not to mention this man wasn't that bad of a guy. So she would be a little nicer but only a little for his sake not hers. So she gave her new sensei a smile as she Leo told him of a small shop nearby. It had good food for cheap prices and they allowed dogs. Their food was organic so their sensitive taste buds didn't have to suffer eating something that tasted like artificial flavoring.

Leo was already ahead of the two leading the way. He never stopped wandering off. Grabbing her notebook she wrote a message for skye to see. Holding up her notepad it read "I'm sorry for being rude Skye-sama". Now the girl could only hope he accepted it.

Looks like Aya was in the mood for food. Although he wasn’t too hungry himself, he would still treat his new student to a bit of food. Of course it would be her pick, seeing that Skye wasn’t too good with places to eat around Kumo. Looking up at Aya for a moment, he noticed her smile. It was a bit of an eye opener considering that this was the first facial expression Aya had given. Seeing the girl send a quick signal to Leo, the dog told him of a good place to get food and immediately started to lead the two there.

A quick turn of his head and Skye was greeted by a white page of notebook paper. He seemed to laugh a bit after reading the note that Aya had written. Skye put his hand over Aya’s and made her lower the notebook. “Relax. I didn’t think you were being rude. I just thought you were just being a bit shy.” With a slight grin, he brought his hand back to his side and continued to follow Leo. He was really trying to make a good first impression on this girl. They'd be seeing each other a lot more now that she had been assigned to his team.

After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the small shop. There were a few tables nearby, so Skye got one that was close. Before sitting down, he made sure to pull Aya’s chair out for her. Once she would sit down, he assumed the conversation would continue.

Aya took a seat now she was just trying to make friends with her sensei. The two kept light conversion till it was time to order. Aya got her and Leo a large order of dumplings that came with many different dipping sauces. Of course the waiter almost had a heart attack when he heard Leo talk. Her drink was a simple cup of mango tea that she was happily sipping on as she waited for Skye-sama to order. She leaned back in her chair playing with her hair as they waited for their food. What should she say now she thought. Grabbing her notepad she wrote another message. "Mind telling me about yourself some more". She wanted to make sure they knew as much as they could about each other.

Sipping her tea more she waited for the food listening to him talk.

Skye laughed a bit when Leo frightened the waiter. After Aya had ordered her drink, Skye calmed himself down and simply ordered a bit of green tea. It was a simple tea, but the taste of it was rather good. The waiter then seemed to walk off and get their drinks, he then asked for what they’d like to eat. Of course Skye passed on the food. He wasn’t hungry at all. Noticing that Aya was writing in her notebook yet again, he waited until Leo read it aloud. With a slight grin, he began to think about what to say. “More about myself… More about myself…” Skye began to lean back in his chair and tilt his head back slightly as he thought. “Oh! I guess I could start off with my clan.” He quickly brought himself forward and sat up straight. “I’ll leave out the boring bits… My clan is amazing with Genjutsus. We even have a Doujutsu to boost the effectiveness of our illusions and mental traps. With our specialty being mainly in Genjutsu, we really lack when people try to fight us up close and personal. So I guess you have me beat with your Taijutsu.” Pausing a second to laugh, he shook the hilarity of his own joke off and continued to go on about his clan. “Most members of my clan are a bit cold to others, but there’s a fair amount of us that are pretty friendly. You can probably tell if one of us is a Nekito if you see the face paint.” Pointing to the two purple lines coming down from his eyes, he grinned slightly and began to talk again. “Uh… What else…? My clan has a bit of an interesting way of selecting a new leader. We fight, but not with our fists. We only use Genjutsu. It happens about once every year, and is rather brutal. Some of the members of my clan have gone blind from the fight…”

Skye’s tone seemed to become sad as he spoke about the fight for clan leader. He shook the feeling out of his mind and changed the subject rather quickly. “How about you tell me a bit about your clan now? I’ve never met an Inuzuka before.”
