Baki opened a small bottle of water and guzzled it down. He had came to fight so he could train. The fight with the monster on his last mission made him reconsider a few things, He won the fight but in his eyes it took far to long. The next person walked up onto the ring. It was a open fight day on the High Battle Plateau, meaning it was serious and most would walk away never the same again or worse. Baki smirked as another person tried there luck. He was used to the fights from the underground and could recognize a person who it was there first time. The guy put on a tough act, as he walked in. "Hey kid, why are you up here? don't you know this is a place for adults?" The heavier man said. Baki's expression did not change, though inside he was raging with fury. He threw his head back and laughed like a madman. "Ha! and you think you can beat me?!" He shouted at the other guy. As if by starting off a unknown signal both fighters rushed each other. The guy let out a right hook as the fighters neared, but Baki had already ducked and kicked the knee. Baki smirked as the man fell to the ground. Baki had put enough force to snap it. " I I Give up..no more no more! Please!" The man begged. Baki was about to turn around and go back to his spot on the plateau when a few of the fallen mans friends came. He had thought they where going to attack but then they did something quite unexpected. They grabbed the guy Baki had beat and yelled in his face. " You Idiot! That was Demon Baki from the underground! What the hell where you thinking?" They yelled. The guy paled at the news. Baki was somewhat of a legend on the underground circuit. With only one loss his whole time, he was giving the nickname Demon Baki. Baki knew that the Shinobi world was much harder and to that extent as great as he was in the underground he knew the real fights where as a shinobi.

He sighed as he sat down again to wait for the next person or whoever. He hoped it was a fellow shinobi he would get to face instead of morons.

Zetsume awoke today and stretched after a much needed shower. His dog Repede was anxiously waiting for his master to wake up and feed him. From the looks of it the dog was about ready to chew on his masters arm. Zetsume leaned down to pet the dog softly and fed him. He gave the little puppy a hug and whispered "I promise, I will keep you safe." He meant it to. He had lost a lot of people in his life and he cared much for this dog. Losing him to would be very dramatic on his mental health. He would not know how he would react if he lost his precious puppy. Zetsume grabbed his Hishou bow, along with his 20 iron tipped and rubber tipped arrows. After waving goodbye he set off into the cold town of Kumogakure.

Zetsume had liked the chilly weather of Kumogakure instead of being in a hot area. The cold wind always made him feel alive. Originally he went to the High Battle Plateau for the view, but as he was making his way up there he could hear shouts from men. From what he heard the man was saying " You Idiot! That was Demon Baki from the underground! What the hell where you thinking?"

Demon Baki?, he thought to himself while finally getting to the top. It appeared that this man had the name of Baki by the way he was holding his head up in the arena. He looked as if he could beat anyone at anytime. Zetsume looked at this as an opportunity to train and learn something from his fellow Kumogakure ninja. Zetsume jumped down from the ledge keeping 150 feet away from this so called "Demon Baki". He was now in the arena. He looked at this shinobi and respectfully bowed before speaking, "My name is Zetsume Zix, I would like to spar with you in this arena if you would like. I am a chuunin of the Kumogakure Village. You look like a shinobi as well. Would you like to entertain me on this fine day?", Zetsume leaned back up to show Baki that his face was serious. Zetsume would have to keep his distance if he was going to spar with this guy. He looked like he could give one hell of a punch. He grabbed his Hishou bow that was strapped to his back and got ready for whatever might come next. Though he did not want to attack until the other person agreed to this sparring.

"Thats good, I was getting tired of fighting people that wont give me a good fight. I too am a shinobi so this should be fun!" He said to the scar faced guy. Baki smirked and activated his bloodline. 'better to be prepared..' He thought as the Genjutsuken activated. "Here I come!" He yelled as he started to close the distance.

It was a good day in Kumo as such Sanosuke decided that it was time that he stretched his legs and go for a walk to see what he can see. Maybe it was time for him to look at the High Battle Plateau to see what is going on there for something that he should do. He really didn't care; whether it be training, sparring or someone to help a mission he was just bored. Sanosuke actually remembered coming here before with his old teacher Midnight and his old comrade Hiromasa. But that was a long time ago. And now he was walking here looking at the new rising stars of Kumo.

Then Sanosuke feasted his eyes on a site that peaked his interest. He saw a young blond boy was talking to the chuunin whom he helped do a mission with that involved stopping the thieves in the kumo forests. Sanosuke walked over to the group filled with curiosity on what they could possibly be talking about. When ge got closer, the voices got loud enough so he could hear what they were talking about. They wanted to spar with each other. It was a bit of a weird set up really, a long range fighter fighting what looked like to be a taijutsu specialist. Sanosuke couldn't help be feel intrigued.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help but overheard this conversation. If you want I'd gladly proctor this fight." Sanosuke said to both of the boys.

"Thats good, I was getting tired of fighting people that wont give me a good fight. I too am a shinobi so this should be fun!", The shinobi said with a wide smile on his face. Zetsume did not know if he was smiling because of a new challenger or just smiling out of confidence. Either or did not faze him, yet it still made him wonder. "Here I come!" he shouted while charging at Zetsume. From this frontal assault Zetsume could tell a few things from it. He apparently had no long range attack, which could be favorable for him. Also that he likes to charge head in without even thinking. This could chose to be problematic. Zetsume would have to figure out a way to keep this guy back before he shows his real skills off. Zetsume focused himself before drawing back an iron tipped arrow in his bow. The genin was charging right at him though shooting this one shot in a straight line would be easy for someone to dodge. I will have to play sneaky, he thought to himself. He focused some chakra and used 100 arrow illusion. His goal was to direct the shinobi off the course of Zetsume. He shot the arrow which made 100 of them appear. He chose to make the illusion arrows to fly out in a horizontal line with the real arrow aimed at his leg. Attacking at this angle would mean that he would have to go either in the air and into the ground in order to dodge the arrows. If he went right or left he would be unaffected by these illusions but Zetsume was hoping that this genjutsu would fool him. If he went into the ground with a jutsu that would be a problem, though if he jumps that would be the real time for Zetsume to attack. Without any way to redirect yourself once mid air it would be easier to aim for his movement. Stopping this Shinobi was his goal, and not letting him even get close. If he could manage both of these things then this fight would become much easier.

Zetsume could hear a familiar voice in the background, though he could not make it out clearly because his focus was on this Baki fellow."I'm sorry I couldn't help but overheard this conversation. If you want I'd gladly proctor this fight.", was heard in the background. The person who said that was behind Zetsume and he dared not take his eyes off of the shinobi. He would never again let his guard down so easily. Though the call was from someone he knew. Who are you?, he thought to himself for a second. He could not quell long on the issue of who exactly was there. He indeed just challenged this shinobi and he would not disrespect him by looking away. With that in mind Zetsume decided to move into phase two.

After the 100 arrow illusion was cast and shot. Zetsume began to use Fire Arrow, he would aim at the shinobi when he was in the air if he did jump. That would be the most optimal chance to strike him. Though if he keeps running and finds out that all of those are illusions except the one arrow aimed at his leg he might be able to evade. The one aimed at his leg was a calculated shot based on the shinobi's movement speed and Zetsume's arrow speed. His shooting had always been superb, plus he had amazing eyes that helped him hit target that were in motion so shooting at this shinobi who was running straight at him was no challenge. Zetsume drew back the first Fire Arrow from his stock and waited on the other shinobi's move, hoping that if he jumps the horizontal illusion shot he would have the chance he needed to shoot him while he was mid-air.

Baki did a double take as one arrow became 100, his eyes widened at the sight. 'He only fired one so why am I seeing 100? Genjutsu!' Baki Decided to what most people would do, which was get out of the way. The question was how, if he went to the sky he could evade it but he would run the risk of getting shot more. If he dove to the ground he could get shot on the ground and that was not on his to do list. The best choice came to his head just as the arrows where nearly at him. He side stepped to the left to avoid the arrows, but as he got out of the way the genjutsu seemed to fizzle and all that was left was the one arrow. The arrow flew by his knee and hit the ground. He paid no attention to it however, as he continued to run at his target. This time he decided to be sneaky and he preformed the hand signs of the Bunshin no Jutsu. This created 5 identical clones. The clones scattered and he went to the left at the same pace of the clones to not give his presents away so he could mask himself just long enough to get close without getting shot.

Shit, he did not jump. Seems he just went with his gut on that one., he thought to himself as the genin just ran right through his genjutsu. He was hoping that at least the arrow would hit the knee but Zetsume was off by a couple of inches. Zetsume had to think of his next plan of attack. The genin was closing in on him, and it seemed his time was running shorter than expected. Zetsume bit his lip as he saw the genin use Doppelganger Technique (影分身の術 ~ Bunshin no Jutsu). This was an easy technique that was given as training while Zetsume was in the academy. Baki made 5 clones, which meant 6 people were running at Zetsume. Though he thought that it would be a good time to shoot off his fire arrows now. He only had 5 shots in his chakra mass though and there were six targets. Seems he would just have to shoot at them randomly, if one arrow managed to hit, then that was the real one. If all of them miss, then the one left standing would be the real one. Zetsume focused himself and shot the arrows quickly at 5 of the 6 running at him. He had no real idea which one was the real one and only shot randomly left to right hoping he would at least hit him. Zetsume kept a close eye on them all as the arrows flew from his bow.

Baki smirked his diversion was working, or so he thought. He watched as the fire arrows downed his clones one by one until there was only one clone left, with luck though, his opponent would shoot the clone. Baki could only get so far on luck alone though, just as he thought that the arrow would be fired at the clone it was let loose at him. 'Shit! im to close to evade!' His mind yelled at him, but to no avail. The arrow hit him square in the chest. Flames kissed his skin as it had burned threw his shirt.

'Im lucky it only burned me a little bit.' He thought when doing a mental check of his body. It was only a small burn that marked his skin, it hurt but not enough for him to stop going at the other man. In the underground stopping meant death and to him stopping as a shinobi was suicide. The distance finally closed, it was a short run but it felt like it took forever to get to the guy. Baki's smirk threatened to split his face as he let out a volley of punches, what made it different was the genjutsu he had cast earlier was still in effect so the punches looked as though they where faster and that half of them would look like they where off target somewhat. That was the beauty of his jutsu, the ability to change how someone sees the hits coming at them. 'Thats right, think that im faster, the moment you get used to it I will just change it again.' His plan was well in the works and he wondered what the other ninja would do now that it was hand to hand.

Zetsume watched as one by one the clones fell to his fire arrows. It almost looked as though he had chose all but the right target but then a solid mark was made. Found you, he thought though by then it was already far to late. He was within punching distance from the genin and this could now turn ugly. The shot had only burned him a little. His true intentions of the attack was not harm but locating the real one before an attack had gone off. Though now that he knew which one was real, he was far to close. Zetsume's mind began to race of what to do but he had to quickly discard those thoughts because the genin was throwing one hell of a volley of punches in his direction. He did his best to block them but there was just to many. This genin was apparently great at taijutsu, which was Zetsume's weak point. With each block Zetsume would feel slightly more accomplished until when he reached to block one hit but his hand only fell through the air as the genin hit him square in the face. Impossible.... as pain shot through his head. Though the genin did not stop with his assult, Zetsume was at a disadvantage and knew he had to do something quick. He could always use his Shi No Yoake (Dawn Of Death), at this range though it would surely kill him, which was not what he wanted. He would have to disengage and and fire back at him for this fight to continue much longer.

Zetsume jumped back a couple of feet when he saw an opening, still feeling slightly dizzy from the flurry of hits that came upon him. It was more of an annoying pain than life or death feeling though. While he was jumping back he made the impression that he was casting a summoning jutsu but in reality it was only Animal Illusion being cast. Zetsume made the illusion of a polar bear which let out a loud roar as it stood between the two shinobi. Zetsume was hoping that this would grant him some time to figure out his next plan of attack, which he had no idea. With the genjutsu bear blocking the view from Zetsume he pulled back Shōmei Ar No (Lighting Arrows) which was aimed at the genins shoulder. Since he was a taijutsu specialist, this attack was going to make his punches much less effective. Though he was a skilled archer, he intentionally was aiming out of the way of vital organs. Zetsume let the shot go, which shot past the bear and straight at Baki's right shoulder hoping that the bear caused enough distraction for the hit to make its mark.

Baki looked up in shock as the other ninja summoned a giant bear. 'What the hell is that thing?! Oh well it does not matter I have to take it out too!' Baki thought sending a uppercut at the throat of the beast. Baki nearly did a double take as his fist passed threw the bear. 'Shit Genjutsu!' his mind was racing a mile a minute now as he noticed a arrow of lighting coming at him at full speed. He did not have time to dodge as it struck him in the right shoulder sending a shock threw his arm. His arm felt like it was on fire thanks to the nerves screaming out at once. His arm was shaking as he did the hand signs for not one but two jutsu. First was the Endorphin release followed by the Adrenaline release. The Endorphins would kill the pain and the Adrenaline would restore his strength in his arm and boost the rest of him.

The Endorphins entered his system at the same time as the Adrenaline did. Baki closed the distance yet again as he felt the new found strength flowing threw his veins. While it was true his arm was not at 100% he still had his other arm and his legs. Now was the time for the underground fights experience came in and the cheating. He got as close as he safely could and spit at the other ninjas eyes, It was not a jutsu it was a spit and hope it hit. As soon as he let it out he followed threw with a kick to the other mans groin.

His little mind trick worked on this taijutsu genin that was before Zetsume. The bear managed to by enough time for his arrow to make its mark. It was a key shot that had been aimed to perfection, just another memento towards his Kyujutsu accomplishment. Though before he could shoot again the genin started to make some sort of jutsu with a flurry of hand signs. He stood ready to shoot him down if he saw any form of offensive jutsu, though he hesitated. He was more curious on what the genin had done rather than winning. In an instant he showed no sign of pain or even a little kink from his shot. The genin was able to move like normal as if pain was just a word rather than an actual feeling. Baki charged at him at full speed, ignoring the fact that blood was flowing from his body. Zetsume wondered how much blood could be lost before he would drop. Even though he looked like he was not feeling the pain, his body would eventually feel the loss of blood. Zetsume hoped that it would be sooner rather than later he would feel the toll.

He closed the gap quickly while Zetsume pulled back another one of his Shōmei Ar No (Lighting Arrows) ready to strike when needed. Then the most absurd thing had happened, the genin spat in his face and some of the spit drops landed in his right eye causing slight pain. The whole ordeal made him furious with rage because he had never been spat on like he was some worthless piece of garbage. To think a genin could spit on him and disgrace his family's name with that act could be unforgivable. Though in his rage his right eye was close and did not see the next coming attack. Before the genin had used only his arms to attack and not his legs so this attack seemed unlikely in Zetsume's mind. The genin named Baki managed to kick him in the groin causing extreme pain to his lower region. On top of all of that, he could feel his stomach hurting from the kick. Zetsume's first thought was, that he could no longer have kids. Though being close to a Kyujutsu user was the ideal spot for any Taijutsu user, it also left anyone who was close an easy shooting target. Pain and anger filled through his body as he felt his knees feel weak from the blow, he wondered how much more could he take. At the range he was he would have to back up without giving a moment pause on the genin. He began to shoot wildly at the genin, the remaining four shots of his Shōmei Ar No (Lighting Arrows) at the genin's direction hoping they would meet their mark. He tried to run back while shooting but the pain in his groin made his legs feel weak and useless. He managed to get a few feet back before stopping to rub his groin due to the pain. Zetsume had never been kicked there and now the mystery was solved. IT FUCKING HURTS! It made his mind mad and filled him with many emotions. He wondered how the genin would dodge these four arrows that were shot from just feet away from him.

Baki held back a laugh at seeing the ninja double over from the groin kick. He had not put enough into it to damage the guy permanently but it would slow him down considerably. A look of shock appeared on Baki's face as arrows raced at him with only a few feet to spare. Thinking quickly he used the substitution jutsu as two of the arrows hit there mark leaving a log to take the damage. 'only two more left!' His mind told him. Baki cringed as the other two arrows hit him square. The splitting pain in his chest made him drop to his knees. His breathing was hard and painful and it seemed as though he was going to pass out until he did something very unusual, he started laughing. The coughs cut threw some of the laughter as he sat all the way down. 'It may hurt like hell but at least he don't have to know it.' He thought. "let me guess first time you have been spit on and kicked huh?....Don't take it personally, you should feel honored I had to use something as dirty as that. Well, shall we end this little charade?" Baki slowly stood as he finished his sentence. The blood was dripping at a constant flow now and he figured he only had about a minute left to fight. Steeling his resolve he closed the gap that the other nin had barely managed to make. His whole body was shaking when he let a long flurry of punches at the other guy. As his fists slowed one last time he stumbled back and plopped down on the ground. Baki's strength was slipping away quickly and he hoped it was over.

Zetsume watched from a slight distance as two arrows hit the log and the other two managed to hit his chest. The one named Baki seemed to be taking a lot of damage as he dropped to his knees due to the pain and loss of blood that he was under. From a third perspective view this fight was pretty much over. Zetsume had only been mildly hit, even though one was in the groin, it was not enough to bring him down. He looked at the genin with a sad look hoping he did not harm him to badly with his attacks. It was never his goal to hurt him this badly even though he just spat in his eye, which brought some disgrace towards his clan. Now the genin was pouring an increasingly amount of blood from his chest, the arrows seemed to take a toll on the genin's body. Zetsume had not even used half of his chakra and was still able to go many more round with him, even though he looked like he had reached his limits. Even though he looked like hell the one named Baki seemed to start a laughter that was mixed in with his coughs of blood. Zetsume was really unsure on how to act on this, he did not know if he was laughing to throw Zetsume off or just laughing because he had no idea what else to do. The one named Baki that was before him spoke in an odd tone with words Zetsume was pretty shocked to hear him say. let me guess first time you have been spit on and kicked huh?....Don't take it personally, you should feel honored I had to use something as dirty as that. Well, shall we end this little charade?. Even though he was hurting this genin held a great sense of pride and seemed to want to end this quickly but in Zetsume's mind it was already over. Zetsume let out a long drawn out sigh and spoke softly towards him, "You have taken a good deal of damage, please let us end this now before things get really ugly. Do you need help up?

Zetsume walked forward to help the genin up, but in a split second Baki jumped up and charged at Zetsume. This made him feel a great amount of pride towards Baki for trying his hardest even though he was faced against a much stronger adversary. Baki them presumed to swing wildly at Zetsume like a blind folded kid would do to a pinata. His attacks were pretty futile as his speed and strength seemed to pass with each swing. Zetsume blocked the ones he could and was hit by a few on his face that would surely leave a massive swelling in time to come, though the thrill of this fight made Zetsume want more of it. He always did love to fight people, especially those with great pride. Zetsume blocked what seemed to be a slow moving hit that was easy to predict, he then grabbed an arrow from his quiver and aimed it at the genin. Though the second he went to shoot the genin collapsed on the ground due to exhausting and fatigue. Zetsume let the arrow fly and on purpose missed the genin's head by only inches as it flew past him. The fight was now over, and Zetsume did not have the will to hurt Baki anymore than he was already in. Zetsume put the bow on his back and walked over to Baki with an outstretched hand speaking in a friendly tone towards him, "I really enjoyed this fight, which does not really happen to often. Please let me carry you to the nearest hospital to get those wounds checked at. It was never my intentions to hurt you this badly, and for that I am deeply sorry. Thank you for this joyous day Baki." He gave a smile as he held his hand toward the genin.

Baki's eyes turned darker as the other ninja just proved if he wanted him dead he could have killed him with that arrow. Baki did not like having to surrender and going to the hospital even less. Baki hesitated for a few seconds trying to figure out how to do this and not be defeated. After he pondered for a few more seconds he came to his answer. 'You only are defeated if you are dead...' IT was a annoying thought non the less. He reached out and grabbed the other ninjas hand and used it to pull himself up. "Fine you may have won today but I will win next time!" Baki said dryly. He said it more in a friendly challenge as the person he just faced won a little respect in his eyes.
