jutsu training:

It seemed like the average day in Iwagakure, the sun beating on the expanding rocks, giving every one of its human residence the sensation of melting...it was certainly a good day for training; especially for a Kanetsu. He woke up that day on a fairly good note, and had rushed on over to the Administration Office to obtain a mission. Being as he had not collected a mission since the death of Dengen Sanroku, Raishi was a bit confused by the new system...to be honest, he never really got it even whilst Dengen was still alive. Raishi picked a mission scroll randomly, hoping it to not be an odd job or some form of labour. To his appreciation, it was a sparring task. He was basically to spar with somebody of the same rank as him.

He was Special Jounin...still, not making much achievements as the time passed, always hidden, separated from everyone else. That was going to change. Raishi excused himself from the office, and headed on to the Ninja Info library, were all records of Iwagakure ninja from past and present were kept. The library was divided into to sections; past and [resent. In each of the sections, the ninja files were arranged according to their rank, ninja from past, arranged according to their rank at death while the ninja of present was always updated as people got promoted from rank to rank.

He went into the present section, searching under the Special Jounin sub section. There, he found a name that seemed to scream at him....Takumi Senju. The name Senju seemed to ring a bell....a great clan of old, originally from Konoha. No, no there was something else.....most of them had the kekkai genkai element of mokuton which was wood. Takumi was the perfect cadidate as Raishi wanted to spar other kekkai genkai ninja, so the odds would be fair, not that other ninja would be no match for him or anything...but just that he would have more of an advantage over them.

Shortly afterwards, he got a message deliered to Takumi, with the mission details, explaining the rewards of the little spar, and the opportunity to meet someone new. He told Takumi to meet him at the Fissure Training Grounds, and now here he was, waiting, for the arrival of the Senju.

Takumi was about to set out for the day when a messenger arrived at his door step. Takumi thanked then dismissed him and then proceeded to open the scroll. Taku spent a moment reading it before he began to smile. A spar huh this could be fun Taku thought. He went around the house gathering his things and set out to the training grounds to find hid sparring partner.

Upon arrival taku set his things down and looked around finally seeing a person he assumed to be his opponent. Taku walked up and said "Hello i am Takumi Senju nice to meet you". Taku said as he extended his hand for Raishi to shake.

He had finally arrived, and Raishi, despite the fact that the spar hadn't even started yet, was already quite nervous. Sure, the spar wasn't meant to be very serious, but it still was a spar nonetheless. He needed to focus...

"Hello Takumi, I am Raishi Kanetsu, as I said in the letter. Now would you like to for us to share our specialisations, or we should just start?"

Raishi thought about it....knowing each other's specialisations would sort of take away the fun, the surprise from the spar....either way he was comfortable with any choice that Takumi made. He instinctively checked his pouch, counting his kunai, making sure they were 10 in number.

Takumi smiled and said "Sure i have nothing to hide i use ninjutsu and summoning". Taku then began to wonder if he had made a smart choice by saying that. Taku began to do some body exercises to loosen his muscles. Taku waited a moment and said "Wait Kanetsu i have one of your clan in my squad by the name of satoshi". Taku smiled as he said that at least he would have SOME idea of what the clan is able to do. Taku then sat back and waited for Raishi's response to what taku had said.

"Funny, those are my specialisations as well. It seems that we are evenly matched."

He couldn't wait for this to start, noticing Takumi doing some body exercises. Raishi just smiled..

"Well, you are the first Senju I am seeing in my life....I just read about them from the historical archives. It's an honor.Now do you want to make the first move or should I?"
It was about to go down.

Taku smiled at hearing that that was also Raishi's specs as well. Taku nodded and stretched a bit more before hearing raishi say "Well, you are the first Senju I am seeing in my life....I just read about them from the historical archives. It's an honor.Now do you want to make the first move or should I". Taku smiled and said "Thank you and if you do not mind ill start". Taku jumped back and took a breath and said "Kirigakure no Jutsu". Then he made his signature hand signs and opened his mouth and allowed the fog to pour out. Taku laughed a bit then said "Good luck". Then he faded away into the mist.

Why did he have to be so polite? He had totally forgotten about this Mist jutsu.....Raishi had no jutsu to counter this one. What to do, what to do?

He didn't specialise in taijutsu either, so if Takumi decided to fight close range, he would be screwed.....then again, Takumi didn't specialise in taijutsu either, so he could manage. Raishi brought out one kunai from his pouch and held on to it firmly....he prepared his mind for whatever Takumi would throw at him, expecting the unexpected.
