Heero sat in the large waiting area, he did not want to be here in the first place but due to the small wounds he received on his mission they made him come after he submitted his report. Truth be told he did not like medics, maybe he was afraid, maybe not, he did not know. The cut on his cheek was still bleeding, although it had slowed down considerably, and the small burns from the bandits exploding pouches where not that bad ether. He looked a lot worse then he was thanks to some of the blood spatter from the blow that killed the bandit as well as the contentious drip from his cheek. There was hustle and bustle in the waiting room and a few doctors came over, but when he assured them that he was ok they turned around and went to the desk. Heero was just hopping he could leave soon.

Jezzi sat on the edge of an unsullied bed, staring at the wall in contemplation. She never liked hospitals but she had to come here every 3 months for a refill on her pills, so it couldn't be helped. Her legs swung in contrasting directions to show her anxiousness and she kept looking at the privacy curtain to see if the doctor came back with her refilled prescription yet.

After what seemed like hours, a male medic opened the curtain and handed her a sack of pills. "here you go, little girl.... why is it you want these pills again?" Jezzi's mind began to race. "Oh... just for training.." she lied, an innocent smile spread on her face. But the doctor seemed to accept it and Jezzi was free to go. She made her way out of the building when she spotted a familiar face in the waiting area.. "Heero? she approached him and tilted her head. "You don't look very thrilled to be here... are you injured or sick or something? she said, her voice laced with curiousity.

Heero looked up as a familiar person walked up to him, as a mater of fact it was only recently that he had met her. He looked up when his name was called, "You don't look very thrilled to be here... are you injured or sick or something" Said Jezzi her voice with concern. "I..I'm fine...." Heero lied, the adrenalin that was pumping threw him from his fight was wearing off and he was starting to feel the effects. He put his hand up on his cheek and let out a small wince. He had tried to hide the wince, however just as he was about to deny he was hurt a nurse walked over holding a report from his mission. "It says here you where sent here after a mission where you appeared injured after, however you say that you are ok. This is clearly a lie on your part, and anyone half trained could tell your still bleeding so why do you insist on not letting us do our job?" She asked in a stern voice, her eyes held a certain no non since hardness to them. Heero was at a loss for words but at the same time he did not want to look weak in front of Jezzi. "Ok...ill..ill behave..." He said looking down. He decided the best way to get it over was to cooperate...

I..I'm fine Heero said in an incredibly unconvincing voice. However, Jezzi could see he was bleeding, and was in pain. She raised a skeptical eyebrow at him, letting him know that she knew he was spewing BS. Then the nurse came up with an attitude she had never seen in a nurse and began scolding Heero. "...and anyone half trained could tell your still bleeding so why do you insist on not letting us do our job?" She couldn't help but smirk a little as Heero surrendered. She was also relieved that he hadn't asked what she had been doing here.

She squinted and moved her head in, inspecting the cut on his cheek a little closer, not realizing that he might be uncomfortable with being so close to someone he didn't know so well. She began fiddling with her hair as if thinking about something. "You know, I could heal that cut for you, before it gets infected or scarred... make the doctors' jobs a little easier.. The nurse shrugged, "If the patient is alright with that then I couldn't care less...either way we'll call your name when we're ready to see you.... Jezzi took a seat next to him and looked at him curiously, "You don't want to be healed?" she asked, wondering why he would lie about his obvious wounds.

"Fi..fine..it..wo..wont hurt will it?" He asked in a uncertain voice. He knew it would not heal easy because of his clans kekkei genkai but he was still hoping that it would not hurt. His eyes darted to the nurse as she walked away and picked up his file again. He ran the back of his hand across his cheek as to wipe the blood away. He hoped whatever Jezzi did that it would be quick so he could make his escape before the nurse came back.

Jezzi looked at Heero and raised an eyebrow. He would ignore the incredible pain his injuries gave him but the idea of being healed made him nervous? Well that's a switch... She tried to find the right words to make him feel better... However comforting people was never really her strong point. [color=violet]"Well healing the cut won't hurt anymore than the injury itself hurt... unless you were asleep or frozen or numb at the time then you wouldn't be able to feel it... but no it won't hurt a whole lot... it'll feel a bit weird though...lop-sided smile as she used a medical jutsu on him ~Hovering Hands~ and she placed her hands on his cheek, using the jutsu to heal his cut to the best of her ability. She took her hands away to see a scar, not too serious but not too subtle on his cheek. She frowned "sorry.....But uhm... you should really let the medics here heal you otherwise your wounds could get infected... seriously.. trying to live your normal ninja life with untreated wounds is a bit daft..."

She then turned to see Kenji and raised an eyebrow. "Are you.... alright?"

She also wondered what Kenji was even at the hospital for and if he even knew the situation.

"This isn't a rescue mission this guy is injured, and you're preventing him from being cured..." Then she looked at Heero with a critical gaze. "What's wrong with you? You can handle crippling injured but the sight of a needle has you running away screaming?" She looked back at the nurse than to the two boys. "Also anyone with a brain could tell you're not brothers.... What did she have to do to convince them to go back?

Heero was almost to freedom when Jezzi stopped him, normally he would have left anyway but when she brought up the whole needle thing he finally gave up, it was a good thing he turned back when he did because unbeknown to him and the others the nurse had went for help, she came back with another nurse and knelt down in front of Heero so her eyes where level with his. "You promised to be good so why are you running? or do you want me to call the kazekage? I already know you are related and im pretty sure you would not want that. now hold your hands out." She said. In her hand she held some wire, not the kind used in combat mind you but the kind that stops ones jutsu from working. Heero sighed and a little tear could be seen. "Wh..why are yoyou doing thiis?" He asked with uncertainty. "Its standard procedure for people who try to run." She smiled at him and tried to put him at ease "If your good we will get this off of you ok? She pulled out a box of pocky. "And besides you do really good you will get this!" That was all Heero needed to try to stay a while longer. He let his hands be tied and followed her back in. "First I get the pocky and after they take this off im gone!" He thought, he just hoped there was no needles involved.

Misoka

Misoka

D-rank
"I can't believe this! When will I get out?"
Misoka looked at her father lying in the hospital bed and let out a sigh. Always so stubborn.
"Dad, what did you expect? You came from this mission with a broken arm and other minor injuries. Did you think they would just wait for them to heal on their own? Well, that's not gonna happen." She tried her best to keep her voice stern, but her father's childish I-wanna-go-home-look gave her a hard time not breaking out in laughter.
A short silence spread out between them before the red-haired man in bed said smiling,"Thank you for visiting." - "Of course I'd visit!" Misoka called out, surprised. She gazed over her father and noticed him having a far-away look on his face. Immediately, she felt something tighten in her chest because she had an idea of what or, to be more specific, of who he was thinking right now.
She got up off her seat and patted her father's arm one more time. "I'm going now, Dad. Get better soon, okay?"
He only nodded and Misoka was afraid she saw something glistening in his eyes. Quickly, she went out of the room. She couldn't bear to see her Dad in this state.

---------
On her way out, Misoka suddenly spotted two familiar figures in the waiting room. She broke out a small grin and approached them.
"Heero! Jezzi!" How cute seeing them together! At the same time, Misoka hoped she didn't interrupt something. 'Oh.. Jezzi and Heero?' Her curiousity took in the thought eagerly, already jumping to conclusions. "Nice to see you!"
She brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she looked down, (taking the fact they were shorter than her) with the grin still plastered on her face. Then she saw a nurse coming to Heero and dragging him with her. That was right: Heero was injured! Concern for the boy filled Misoka's eyes. 'What have you gotten yourself into, Heero?', she wondered silently.
The next instant, she turned to Jezzi and looked her over quickly. "What about you? You are not injured, are you?" Her voice sounded concerned, but also much softer than when speaking to someone else.
Once again, she couldn't help but treat the green-haired like a child. Jezzi just looked so frail and.. helpless.

It was only then when Misoka noticed a third person standing with them. It was a tall, skin-tanned guy with blonde hair and headphones. Misoka wasn't sure whether he actually knew Heero and Jezzi or if he just was one of the people waiting for the doctor.
In any case, to make sure she wasn't impolite, the Karisuma nodded to him hesitantly. "Hi... I'm Misoka." Her tone was wary as she was always a bit unnerved around taller guys.

D-rank
Jezzi sighed and grinned, happy to see that Heero was finally willing to cooperate. Then she saw the nurse offering pocky and began to stare at it with eyes wide as saucers. Her sweet tooth was throbbing and she found herself a little envious that Heero was offered some and she wasn't. The nurse saw her staring and chuckled warmly. "I guess you can have some too, since you're so darn cute." Jezzi looked up at her and grinned, "Oh...thanks!!" She liked how despite her young appearance the nurse still spoke to her like she was a human being. She took 2 of the pocky sticks and began to nibble enthusiastically on them.

She spotted an all too familiar face making her way out of the hospital. Her squad-mate, Misoka. She sighed, seeing this ridiculously pretty girl making her feel a little worse about herself (other women too, with the way some of them stared). Jezzi tried to ignore the fact that she was younger than most people at her level and looked younger than most people her age. Also the fact that because of some DNA issues she'd never develop into a curvy, feminine figure like other women would. So seeing Misoka, who was like the perfect image of what she wished she looked like, reminded her of this. However, the pocky and just the day in general had put her in a good mood, she was determined not to let anything ruin that.

"What about you? You are not injured, are you?" Misoka spoke to her in a voice that sounded borderline condescending. She scowled slightly but tried to wipe it off her face. "Nothing... don't worry about it..." She said, hiding the sack of pills behind her back. She admitted that her voice sounded a little sharper than it should have. She hated being talked down to, but didn't want to make Misoka think it bothered her. However, her mood was lowered even further when Kenji had asked Misoka to hang out but completely ignored her. She didn't have feelings for him or anything but she also hated being ignored.... and the fact that it was for Misoka just made it worse. So she crossed her arms and grumbled dejectedly to herself.

He was covered in blood but unknown to the others it was not his blood, er at least most of it wasn't. He winced as she cleaned the wounds off some and wondered how long it would take. He put a stick of pocky into his mouth and ate it. He really wanted to run but there was no way that he could do anything with his hands tied. He was getting more nervous as the nurse placed a few things down, he was not sure what they where but he cringed.

Misoka

Misoka

D-rank
Misoka's cheeks turned a bright shade of red. She was used to people staring, but few addressed her beauty so openly. Her voice came out as a slight stutter, "Oh.. um, yes.. Yes, I am. My mother was a famous member."
She let her gaze go down to the floor as thoughts about the Karisuma Clan overflooded her mind. The Clan itself wasn't exactly famous. Truth be told, Misoka had never seen another Karisuma shinobi other than her mother. Apparently, most of her relatives declined the way of the ninja and were all too focused on the clan's trademark: their beauty. Misoka remembered her mother once talking about her cousin who had sold his daughter to a rich Uchiha. This wasn't uncommon. Female clan members had never been taken too seriously for shinobis and served more as a feast for the men's eyes. Since every man craved to possess such beauty, the dowry was usually very high and the girl's parents could make a lot of money by marrying her.
Misoka shuddered at this thought. She was so lucky she hadn't been treated that way; and her father would never do such a thing in the future.

"Would you feel like hanging out here while they work on Heero?"

Quickly, she looked up only to see Kenji walking over to the window and wiping his eyes or something. Huh? Had he been crying? Misoka raised an eyebrow. He seemed to be here for Heero, but ... the little guy wasn't dying so no need to get all worked up.
The blonde replied with a simple and quiet "Sure, thanks." before she took one step closer to Jezzi. She would probably never admit to anyone that her secureness faded whenever she was around men.
Her gaze went to Heero, who was given one pocky after another so he kept still. He was one of the few male people she felt comfortable with. Then again, this wasn't so hard as he always reminded her more of a child than a young man.
Misoka liked children a lot; she loved to play with them, to make them laugh and to show them right from wrong. However, her feeling of responsibility toward them made her look down on them at the same time.

When Jezzi's voice sounded rather sharp, Misoka did know that something was wrong, but she couldn't put her finger on it. The fact that the little girl didn't like to be treated as a little girl, never crossed the Karisuma's mind. So she shrugged Jezzi's hostile tone off, thinking she might just be in a grumpy mood again.

With a smile, Misoka called out to Heero,"Don't get nervous, focus on the sweets! Yummy, aren't they?"
Then she looked from Jezzi to Kenji and asked the boy still standing at the window sill, "Have you three... been doing a mission together?"
This would at least explain why Heero was injured and why the other two accompanied him to the hospital.

D-rank
Kaizen had been in and out of the hospital all day. Helping the doctors and nurses treat every person that came in. He had finally gotten a break until he noticed a group of people just standing around. He couldn't help but laugh a bit. What were the chances that all of his friends were right there next to each other. He walked into the room and looked around. He could see the hurt Heero, Misoka, Jezzi and Kenji. He figured since he was on his break, he could help Heero out as much as possible. He-hey guys! I never ex-expected you all to b-be here, together, in the same room. Kaizen stated, walking over towards Heero. He looked at Heero's cheek and sighed.

Kaizen pulled out one of his antiseptic cloths and a small piece of gauze. He took the antiseptic cloth and went to go rub it on Heero's wound. Once cleaned, Kaizen would simply put the piece of gauze on the wound and it would be fine. No special kind of jutsu was really needed. The wound wasn't that bad. As for the burns, all he would need from the doctors was a tube of burn cream. Kaizen took out a pencil and a piece of paper and wrote on it. Give this to the nurse when she comes in and she will give you a small tube of cream for your burns. Kaizens stutter was gone. It happened every time he went into full medical mode. He looked over to the rest of them and leaned against the wall.

S-so why is ev-everyone else here? Are you all injured? He asked them, not sure why all of them would be in the hospital. All of the m could have been visiting someone they knew but it was strange timing for all of them to be in the same place at the same time. Or at least Kaizen thought so.

She had been asked about three times now why she was there at the hospital. Maybe I should just tell them? You want everyone here to know your weaknesses?

Jezzi frowned, not used to being asked so many questions. She couldn't think of a good lie so she decided to redirect the conversation, to take the focus off of her. "What I want to know is how Heero got himself injured so badly.." She looked to Heero and hoped other people were more curious about that then they were about the other thing.

"What I want to know is how Heero got himself injured so badly.." he overheard Jezzi say, the truth of the mater is he had finally killed the man who caused his childhood to be so distraught. He could already tell that he was not stuttering nearly as much, yes the scar on his cheek would always be there but this time he did not mind it, in fact he thought it made him look a little tougher. At the sound of Kaizen's voice, Misoka turned around with a smile and waved. "Hey!" She greeted him friendly. Kaizen was a nice guy, she figured, always polite and smart. He greatly differed from the guys she feared, those who would basically undress her with their eyes. She shuddered slightly at the thought, pushing back a certain memory.

Jezzi and Kaizen already started Small Talk, which reminded Misoka of their friendship. The two had known each other before the first team meeting. Misoka wasn't too sure whether they actually considered her a friend yet.
The Karisuma snatched a glance at Jezzi and wondered why the green-haired hadn't answered her question concerning her health. Instead, Jezzi had right away replied to Kaizen, ignoring Misoka completely.

Misoka couldn't prevent herself from making a spiteful comment. "Oh, so you can talk after all, Jezzi. And I believed something was wrong with your mouth."
Ouch. That might have been a bit too much. But Misoka was sick of being treated as though she wasn't here. By a little girl! Jezzi should give her with some respect at least.

She struggled to keep a straight face so her smile had rather turned into a grimace.

"Hahaha."

Surprised, Misoka turned to Heero who smiled to himself. He was clearly happy about something... about the reason why he was in hospital. Strange... why would someone be happy about being sent to the doctor? Then it occurred to her that it must have something to do with his mission.

"What kind of mission was this, Heero?" She asked him curiously, turning her back on Jezzi by the way.

After that, he looked down at the floor and just waited a fair amount of minutes before looking around the room. He noticed everyone standing in the same room, some smiling, some giving each other looks. Kaizen simply let himself smile some and thought ~Is this what having friends is like? It's a weird feeling, but in a good way. I could get used to this!~ within his head. He sighed before standing up straight and pushed his glasses up to the proper place on his nose, making sure they were perfect. He should have had the rest of the day off, but he never knew until he left. If they told him to stay, he would. If not, then he was free.

We should all get something to eat! It will be my treat!! Kaizen spoke, in a happy tone, not realizing that his stutter had gone. It was weird how it would happen only when he thought about it or when he was shy or embarrassed. He simply stood and looked at the young women, hoping they would ease up on each other long enough for them all to eat.

She admitted that she was taken back by Misoka's comment and her face held a hurt look, her eyes softening and her mouth opening in a somewhat surprised fashion. "I.... Misoka didn't really know what exactly got her started or why she clenched her fists in anger. It was just that something snapped inside her.
Swiftly, she whirled around and pointed an accusing finger at Jezzi.

"Oh, so you think I don't realize I'm just the third wheel in Team One?! You think I don't get your attitude towards me? Be it at the training ground or here in the hospital - I know what you're trying to tell me with these...these looks you give me!" She took a deep breath and upon remembering that they weren't in the right place to shout accuses at the other, she lowered her voice.

"You. Think. I'm taking your friend away from you!" A proud smirk spread across Misoka's lips. She was a really good observer to have noticed this. "Your biggest best friend forever - Kaizen!"
She shortly nodded to the boy with glasses.
"You're jealous! I'm just not sure of what exactly since Kaizen and I haven't really talked much yet... we're not even friends yet, I think..." At that, Misoka trailed off, realizing that her theory didn't sound so convincing anymore. While she was at it, another thought came to her mind: 'Gosh, I'm being childish.' She flinched, her cheeks burning up. Her pride, however, wouldn't let her apologize about the ridiculous outburst.
Instead, she crossed her arms and said in an almost casual tone, all the while keeping eye contact with the green-haired girl. "Well, I shouldn't be like that. After all, I'm not a child like Jezzi."
Hah. Take that.

Somewhere in the back of her mind, she actually wondered why she got mad at Jezzi in the first place. Maybe she was the one being jealous because her teammates could do well without her. She had always pictured a squad like a family, sort of. Everyone liked each other from the first day and they became friends for life.
However, the reality was completely different. Their first training didn't really meet Misoka's expectations. In a way, you could say she was sometimes more of a child than Jezzi when you considered how easily she was offended by certain things. Especially concerning social relationships. She'd never admit it, but she was pretty unsure when it came to making friends. She always wondered what other people thought of her and whether they truly liked her as a human.

Being caught up in the catfight with Jezzi, Misoka had completely missed Kaizen's and Heero's words.

Kaizen

Kaizen

Kaizen laughed at Heero and his single word. That had to have meant yes. Kaizen was able to pay for all their food, no problem. He would treat the newly freed Heero and his two teammates. The only problem is now, they were arguing. Again, they were going back and forth with the hate. Kaizen didn't like it but he knew women acted like that. Then Misoka began to say things that made Kaizen's head turn towards her and Jezzi in anger. He walked up to them both and went to silence them both. Their childish acts were not welcomed in the hospital.

Enough!!! Kaizen let out, in a stern tone. No more childish fighting in the hospital, at all! There are sick people here who have better things to do than to listen to you bicker! He then took a moment, pushing up his glasses, and thought about what Misoka said. And Misoka, are you kidding me?! Third wheel?? I've treated you just as much or a member of team one as I did Jezzi! You are both important to me and it would not be team one with out you, Jezzi or me! Kaizen took a short breath and decided to make it seem like he wasn't so mad. He was kind of upset that something like that would be said, but when she said that she wasn't his friend yet, Kaizen was kind of confused.

He walked up to Misoka and Jezzi, and wrapped his arms around them, hugging them. You are both my friends. No one is a third wheel and no one is a child here. You guys are like my sisters and I would do anything to protect you. Just don't fight like this because it makes me both angry and sad. Kaizen then let them go and then turned his attention back to Heero and the subject of food. He was hungry from his duty at the hospital and could go for some really good food. Right, now who wants some food! Again, its my treat!! He then awaited their answers before deciding on what to do.
