Heero walked threw a large iron gate that marked the front of the orphanage. It was nice enough he supposed, being surprisingly well maintained. The erosion that happened over the years of being in the desert gave it a homely feel, although not surprisingly, due to its age even it was starting to look run down. He walked into the front door and kicked his sandals off. " I'm back." he announced on his way to his room. Truth be told his room was shared by three others and to him felt a little crowded He got to his room and set his bag down. The room was not big and only had one window leading out, the floor was wood that had been patched god knows how many times. The desk was old as well, if someone where to look close they would see the tail tail scribble that children do when they write on a desk. There was a bunk bed and a single bed in the room and Heero being the smallest slept in the top rack because the other two would not fit. He sighed and got out a blank note book and a box of pocky. He let out a grin as he put a pocky stick in his mouth. Once he had that situated he studied the blank paper intently and started drawing what he wanted his next sword to look like. A couple of hours went by and he went down to the dining room and got a small snack. He took it and sat down, his stomach demanding food.

Part of being Kazekage was tending to administrative duties. In their traditional form - paperwork, of course - they were a nuisance. But visiting the several locations that she had been charged with managing and running was rather pleasant. Take the orphanage for instance. The woman in charge always offered her tea. She was pleasant to talk to and Chie and Reiko enjoyed playing with the kids. Today, they were on particularly good behavior, meaning that they weren't beating the living daylights out of the poor orphans. Well, they were best left on their own for today. Gin watched them through the corner of her eyes, playing nicely with the other toddlers. But of course, most of her attention was on the woman in front of her. All seemed well so far. The building was in good shape, as was the furnishing. Of course, they were long due a raise, which was why the Kazekage was there. She needed to negotiate just how much she needed to give. She sat in the dining hall, sipping on a cup of tea. "... So tell me, how are the kids doing?" Asked the young Kazekage. The woman smiled. "Quite well. Some of them have even taken an interest in becoming shinobi," answered the woman. At this, Gin quirked an eyebrow. She was always interested in the future generations and what they would bring to the village. "Really? Do any of them have a Kekkei Genkai?" She asked, mostly out of curiosity. She had never been the type to push small kids into the academy, no matter their talent. Nothing good ever came from such things. "There's one, I believe he was born a Kuroka," At this, Gin was certainly shocked. A Kuroka in her village that she didn't know about? She felt ashamed of herself now. She was the clan's leader, after all. She was supposed to know them all. She frowned slightly.

At that very moment a young boy walked into the kitchen. Gin was hardly paying attention to him. Her eyes were fixed on the opposite side of the room. "Ah! There he is now! Heero, come meet the Kazekage herself!" Called the woman. At this, Gin turned around, expecting to see a young boy with silver hair, like most of the Kuroka had. Instead, what she saw hit her like a speeding train - long red hair, high cheekbones, a lean build. He looked... He looked... He looked exactly like Sake when he was 14. Gin's eyes widened. Her breath caught in her throat. Her heart was hammering against her chest. Of course this wasn't him, she knew that. But this boy was a vivid reminder of the things she had been through throughout her life - pain, loss, suffering... but also love and joy. She didn't know how to react. She was frozen in place, unable to say a single word to the boy. She could feel tears welling up in her eyes as her mouth gaped open. But she held them back. She would not cry. She could not cry. She had to keep the feelings at bay.

"Ah! There he is now! Heero, come meet the Kazekage herself!" He heard the caretaker say. At this Heero turned and nearly dropped the food he had out of shock, the Kazekage looked like the relatives he and his family would visit on occasion. This was quite a shock considering he had assumed that they had been killed too, and whats more, He noticed the empty scabbard she wore signifying that she was, in fact, the Kuroka family leader.

He came over where they where sitting and rubbed his eyes to make sure it was real. Excitement shown on the boys face and he let out a wryly grin. Still, not knowing if she was in fact related to him, he decided to do what most do when they first meet. "H..hi im Heero.....Whats yo your name?" He asked trying not to stutter, after all she was the Kazekage, and he did want to make a good impression. He laughed in a nervous laugh and scratched his head, when he did though the sleeve fell down and shown a long jagged scar that ran down his forearm. He quickly put his arm down as to hide it and hoped that the Kazekage did not notice.

Once more his attention was on the scabbard she had, he had never seen it himself before but his father would mention it from time to time and he wondered if it was the same one. stupid self getting all nervous like that, and here I was trying to make a good impression, still I hope she is Kuroka though because then at least im not the only one...' He thought to himself as he waited to hear her name.

Gin tried to regain her composure. She took a deep breath to keep her hands from shaking. The boy was apparently shy, though she couldn't quite tell if tht was his natural disposition or if he was intimidated by her rank. He didn't seem to have the typical Kuroka personality - rash, impulsive, somewhat violent. But rather, he seemed to be a peaceful type of person. How strange... He must not have been raised by a direct member of the clan. Well, that would explain why he was in an orphanage, after all. Then again, Gin had been raised by her mother - a simple merchant, or so the woman appeared to be - and yet she still kept that typical, abrasive personality. Gin tilted her head to the side and still looked at the boy. His eyes... they were just like Sake's had been while he was still alive. Gin smiled slightly at the young boy, finally deciding to have sympathy for him in lieu of rage or resentment. It wasn't the boy's fault that he looked that way, after all.

She kept the light smile on her face as she spoke. "My name's Gin," She stated simply. She disliked formalities and found that listing all of her titles along with her name was nothing short of obnoxious. And sure, she was sometimes a show off, but only when it came to battle and using her skills. She didn't want to intimidate the boy any further. She felt sympathy for him. Up until the age of 14, she had lived in the orphanage. That was around the time when Sake disappeared for the first time and Jurou came into her life. Gin shook her head slightly. It was strange how things had changed so much. She would have never guessed that she would become the Kazekage only four years later. But that was hardly the point now. She wanted to get to know this kid. He was a member of her clan, after all. The caretaker - having known Gin for several years - knew this already. She nodded at the Kazekage and stepped out of the room, closing the door behind her so that the two Kuroka could speak in peace. "Take a seat," Gin said, pointing at the chair in front of her as she took another sip from her teacup.

"so her name is Gin huh?" Heero thought. It was not a bad name in is eyes. He gave a slight chuckle and scratched the back of his head. He was at a loss for words somewhat, and the smile Gin showed put him at ease alot. He finally found someone who was related to him and yet, someone who did not have some outside motives. He let a small smile out to match hers.

He grabbed the chair in front of her and pulled it out. He turned it around backwards and sat so that he could rest his arms and head on the back of the chair while looking at her. He wanted to know so much and finally learn how to control his kekkei genkai. His mind was going over the possibilitys of having a family again and it made him happy inside.

"So what now?" He said slowly so he did not stutter. He rested his head on his arms and looked at Gin waiting for a reply.
