Kaiten

D-rank
The rain slicked entrance to the library was all but a death trap, causing those who walked through it to almost always fall over and hurt themselves. For a long time now, people had been talking about fixing it. Yes, talking, but never doing. That was the problem with a public run institution. Everyone always said how important it was that something happen, but they never helped out in doing it. Sometimes it felt like the world ran off of good intentions, and good intentions paved the way to hell. That was the only thoughts on the young librarians mind as she carried books from one section of the library to another. She had been told by her sister that they were going to get an assistant today, but where the hell was he? He had killed a boar, taken out a gang, and god knows what else in the last 24 hours, so it was understandable, but that didn't make his absence any more pleasant. She couldn't do this all by herse- Her feet fell out from under her, slipping on the wet floor. The world seemed to fall into slow motion, there was so much that would go wrong if she fell. Her face would be slammed it into the floor, shattering her nose and her glasses, the glass would go everywhere, maybe even in her eyes. She panicked and tried to fling her hands in front of her face but to do so caused her to throw the books she was holding into the air. However, just before she fell, something caught her. Or rather, someone. Judging by the state of the arms, he would guess a guy... and an injured one at that. One of his arms were covered in bandages. Wait, wasn't the guy who was supposed to help out today known for wearing bandages around one of his arms? The leader of the Ryokosha clan, she'd never met him in person.

As he pulled her back to her feet properly, he didn't wait for her to thank him before he went to pick up the books that she'd dropped. A good work ethic and a fantastic sense of timing... that was interesting. She was about to say thank you, for both things, but that was when he turned around and smiled. Her cheeks lit up with a fire, blushing bright red. C-c-cute! She tried to talk, her words turning into gibberish, as he came over and handed her her books back.
"'noon," he began, wondering for a moment why she was blushing. He put it down to the fact that he'd had to save her and pushed the thought as far away from him as possible. ", let's get to work shall we?" She nodded and led him into the library.

A quick introduction of how to file the books, and he got to work. A lot of different books that he'd never heard of. The Rainbow Factory, that book that he'd read the little kids a few days before, Project Horizons, a book that was apparently about finding hope and happiness in a world that was nothing but blackness. He made a mental note to check that one out sometime and see if it had any handy hints. But, for the most part, it was dull and uneventful. He felt a watching eye on him, and occasionally found the librarian stealing glances at him. He put it down to the fact that she was trying to make sure that he didn't screw anything up like any good boss would to a new employee. He didn't notice her checking out his butt as he went back to putting away the books. For one who found it fun to seduce people, he was surprisingly naive when it came to attraction. Silly, but true. That was just the way worked.

After a few hours, he was finally finished with his contract. walking over to her, he bowed slightly and explained that he was finished. She looked a bit disappointed, but she wasn't saying anything. Because she wasn't saying anything, he just walked through the large doors and out into the grey-skied world. Today was a good day, it appeared, but a tiring one nonetheless.
