It was that time again. Strafe walked cautiously as he approached the area where he trained. The thick marshes were full of danger, so he could never be too careful. Through the years of his training, he managed to make a clearing of suitable ground for him to train. it wasn't the most luxurious place, but it served it's purpose well.

As he approached his destination, he prepared his body to train this jutsu. He was determined to master it today, as it was a vital jutsu in his clan. The Ice Disk Justu had many purposes and would be quite helpful in battle situations. It was specifically important for Strafe, as his offensive capabilities weren't the best. He entered the clearing with a sigh, as he was about to start a very long and hard training session.

Setting his personal belonging on a nearby log, he sat down and started to meditate. He had to finish preparing his body for this training. After a few brisk minutes, he stood up and spread his legs sholder's width apart. With intense speed, he quickly made the appropriate hand signs. He then swung his arms out in front of him. "Ice Style: Ice Disk."

A small dot of Ice appeared in front of his hands. Slowly, it started expanding as Strafe concentrated to make the water particles in the air freeze. Such a task was difficult, but far from impossible for the dedicated shinobi. The disk had grown half the size of strafe's body already, and it continued to grow. While the Jutsu used quite a bit of Chakra, this wasn't the first time he tried this jutsu. He knew what to do and how to do it.

Finally, the Disk had become the size of his body, a feat that is impressive for any Genin of his clan. He moved his hands down, turning the disk until it was was parallel with the ground. He closed his eyes as he prepared his chakra for the next step of the Jutsu. He suddenly open his eyes and thrust one hand forward, sending the disk hurtling towards a tree. Strafe was amazed at the speed at which the disk flew. This was a powerful Jutsu indeed.

The disk made contact with the target, as tree on the other side of the clearing. It cut deep into the tree before shattering. He was only a Genin, so he couldn't expect to chop through a tree quite yet. He smiled as he considered the feat he just accomplished. Being able to create a disk that big and powerful meant that he was close to mastering the Jutsu, at least for his current level.

He took a deep breathe as that was quite taxing on his body. Not that it spent all of his chakra, it was just the first Jutsu of that level that Strafe used accurately, making it a milestone in his life. He walked over to the same log, sitting beside his personal belongings. He took out a bottle of water and drank a good portion of it, as it he was strangely parched from the training thus far. The break wouldn't last very long, as Strafe was determined to master the other use of this Jutsu as well.

"Well, I guess it's time to get back to work." Strafe said as he stood back up and returned to his former position. He was well rested enough to use the jutsu one more time. once again he closed his eyes, preparing his chakra for the jutsu. He was using the Jutsu for a different purpose this time, so the build up was a tad different.

He opened his eyes and performed the hand sings in quick succession. While the last time he put his hands straight in front of him this time he jumped in the air, rising quite high. "Ice Style: Ice Disk." He said as he pointed his hands toward the ground and concentrated. This was the most difficult part of the jutsu, but Strafe would not let it beat him.

In contrast to last time, this time Strafe had to make the Ice thicker so he could stand on it. The upside being that it didn't have to be near as wide and tall. He concentrated as he reached the peak of his jump and started back towards the ground. He was over halfway there as the disk had become the appropriate height and width.

Finally, after a bit more chakra, the thickness was ready, and Strafe landed safely on the disk. While he couldn't maintain this jutsu for that long, he could at least hold it for about five to ten minutes. The stronger Aisu members got, the longer they could maintain this jutsu. He's heard of people traveling from place to place on this jutsu alone without much trouble.

He hovered around on the disk carefully, as to get the feel for navigation of such a jutsu. It was a lot harder than it looked, but Strafe finally managed to get it down. The speed was impressive, but it was a bit awkward for battle situations. He would have to continue to work on the maneuverability of the disk, as dodging was one of it's main purposes.

He descended toward the ground and leaped off of the disk, as he was about to his limit. He landed safely and released the jutsu, smiling as he thought about what he accomplished. "I consider that a success!" He said as he walked over to the familiar log and collected his things.

He suddenly stopped to think about his next step. Was it a little early to be thinking of the next jutsu? Perhaps, but he couldn't rest until he was the strongest medical shinobi in the village. Anything less would be a dishonor to his father. He suddenly snapped out of his deep thought and realized what time it was.It was time to make the trip back to his house and announce the big news to his mother and friends.
