Clan History: The Yamanaka Clan (山中一族, Yamanaka Ichizoku) is a family of shinobi found in Konohagakure. They specialise in mind related techniques, and they own and run a flower shop in the village.

The members of this clan specialise in mind-related techniques which makes them experts at intelligence gathering, espionage and interrogation amongst other things. They have also displayed sensory abilities and their techniques include transferring their consciousness, reading minds and communicating telepathically. The flower symbol of this clan is the bush clover which symbolises a "positive love". Most members of the Yamanaka clan wear their hair in a long ponytail, which appears to be traditional.

The Yamanaka clan has a special relationship with the Akimichi and Nara clan. For generations, members of these three families have formed an "Ino–Shika–Chō Trio", named after the first part of the names of the members. The Yamanaka members are the "Ino" in the trio. To strengthen the unity between the three clans, a member of the Sarutobi clan will give them special earrings to present to each generation head when they are promoted to chūnin after which they will swear their oaths. The earrings also symbolise that they are considered adults by their respective clans.

Hiden Name: Secret Mind-Body Techniques | 秘伝・心身術 Hiden - Shinshinjutsu

Hiden Description:  The user converts their consciousness to spiritual energy, which they send at a target. Generally, their consciousness moves slowly towards the target and travels in a straight line. If the user misses their target, it will take several minutes for their consciousness to find its way back to their own body. To prevent this from happening, the Mind Body Switch should only be used against targets that are stationary or that are restrained.

When their consciousness does successfully make it to the target, the user can do MANY THINGS to the target (without godmodding.)

Drawbacks: If Mind Transfer is used, the user goes unconscious. If the Mind Transfer misses the target, the user remains unconscious for several vital minutes as the user’s spirit wanders around in darkness trying to find her body back. If the Mind Transfer hits the target, the user successfully controls the body, however the drawback is that any injury suffered upon the target automatically applies to the user as well. Thus, if the target dies, the user dies too.

Hiden Name: Mind Transfer Jutsu
MANDATORY RESTRICTIONS: This Mind Transfer Jutsu can only be used on NPCs, or people who are WILLING- who OOC agree to give you control to of their character, or willing ALLIES. (Example: A low-level genin is in a dangerous situation, and wants you to mind-switch with them so that you can navigate their body out of the danger.) You CANNOT use this Jutsu on enemies without permission.

Users can communicate with targets while possessing their body.

The Mind Body Switch is ideal for intelligence-gathering, and in fact that's why it was originally created;  the target's body can be used to explore locations that the user can't enter and read documents that the user can't access.  Users can take advantage of the target's physical abilities, such as a bird's flight to better recon an area.  Users can also perform their own jutsu while possessing another, notably their sensory skills. Ordinarily, the Mind Body Switch lasts until the user chooses to release it. Targets with strong wills can force users from their body, something that becomes easier to do if the user is low on chakra.

While a user is possessing a target, their own body is left inert. This isn't necessarily an issue in one-on-one encounters, but when facing multiple opponents this leaves their body vulnerable to attack. Furthermore, any damage the possessed body receives is done to their original body as well.[8] It is for this reason that Yamanaka are so often teamed with members of the Akimichi and Nara clans; the Akimichi keeps opponents at a distance, and Nara can use their shadow to manipulate the Yamanaka's body.  If the Mind Body Switch is used on an ally for whatever reason, the ally's consciousness can be transferred to the user's body so that it won't be defenseless.

Hiden Description:  This is the Mind Transfer Jutsu, only with a different result.  Your spirit enters the target’s brain like it would for a normal Mind Transfer Jutsu; but as soon as you're in, instead of taking control of the target's body, your spirit will simply disable the target's primary motor cortex, which is one of the principal brain areas involved in motor function, and disable the  somatic nervous system, which is associated with the voluntary control of body movements via skeletal muscles.
Basically, all this technique does, is paralyze the target's body physically.
Then you may choose whether to stay in the target's immobile body, or return to your body.
This jutsu ONLY stops bodily movement, the target is still conscious and can think clearly.

Your target's consciousness will be put to sleep. Then you are instantly sent back to your own body.

If the Mind Transfer misses the target, the user remains unconscious for several vital minutes as the user’s spirit wanders around in darkness trying to find her body back.
