Mikumi Senju

Mikumi Senju

A-rank
S-rank Mission:

Mikumi was gracefully sitting high up top one of Konohagakure's oldest living Oak trees that were planted since the time of the seventh Hokage, her right leg swung over her right as she laid her head back against the hardness of one of the Oak's thick branch's while holding her medical ninjutsu book tightly in her hand while her eyes slowly scanned the pages to imprint the knowledge into her mind to highen her skills. Mikumi loved training but it was the times where she could just sit back and read while taking in any knowledge in her own village she enjoyed the most because for those precious seconds she didn't have to think about strategy's or someone trying to kill her, all she had was serenity and her books and she was loving every millisecond of it.

However, her peaceful moments was penetrated by the sound of a bird that was screeching as if its lungs were set ablaze, the sound was enough to make Mikumi immediately turn her head where she was greeted with the sight of a blue jay zooming in towards her location from sixteen meters towards the east, its feathers are ruffled up and flapping its wings desperately as it cried out while Mikumi held up her right arm to give the bird a temporary human perch to land on, as soon as it landed Mikumi unhinged the note from its left leg and gave the blue jay a single kiss upon its forehead before giving it a boost so it could fly back to where it came from.

Mikumi watched it fly back in a more calmer state then when it appeared but once it was no more than a tiny spec in her sight she turned her head towards the note, she didn't know what it entailed but she knew that if the bird was that panicked about sending it whatever it was must have been super urgent, with slightly sweaty palms Mikumi began to unravel the note in her hand and squinted her eyes to read the letter where she immediately noticed it was written in blood making Mikumi believe even more just how urgent this was before reading the words, "If you're reading this then that means I am dead, There is an enemy rogue ninja camp right in our borders with overwhelming shinobi, find them and kill them all especially the leader. The rendezvous point is near the village gates where an old dango shop stands " The message was vague but Mikumi got the picture, everything about this mission screamed that it was S-rank meaning that death was a nearly 100% possibility with the slightest mistake.

But despite the possible end results Mikumi couldn't ignore the request, if the enemy truly had that many numbers with them and a powerful leader, then the genins currently participating in the Chunin exams were going to be endangered if they moved on to the village, Mikumi wasn't just going to let that happen not now or forever if she could help it, she placed the book she had been reading in a hollow spot int he tree before rising to her feet and jumping high into the air to make her way to the old dango spot near the village gates to meet her partner, she didn't know who they were going to be but they needed to meet up and strategize on how to go about the extremely difficult task ahead of them.

Mikumi ran at her top speed traveling among the village rooftops to avoid civilian traffic until she had the old shop called "Miya's Dangos" in her sights, she jumped down and walked in nearly two seconds causing the person standing at the cashier to give a small scream at her sudden presence, Mikumi didn't meant to scare them but she wasn't trying to apologize either as she was in no mood for such a thing, instead she placed an order, "One order of your best Dango platter please." Once she paid the fee for her food Mikumi sat down and ate but a single Dango as she waited for her partner to come.

Nayoko

Nayoko

D-rank
The administration building was full of bustling people thanks to the chunin exams that were still underway. The second round had begun and people from all over the ninja world were taking missions, buying tickets, or just generally being tourists, which meant that members of the host village had a great deal to do. People rushed past Nayoko on either side as he quickly and deliberately made his way through the crowds toward the briefing room that he knew so well. As he walked down the hallway, the jounin pulled on his gloves and thought over the few details that he knew. He had been called only minutes earlier to come down to the administration building for the briefing because of a freshly identified threat to the exam proceedings. The details had not been given to him, but the ANBU commander had been informed that the mission was classified as S-Rank. That meant that there was a very real danger lurking just beyond the village walls, and Nayoko was going to be ne of the people to stop it. The Hattori had been on his fair share of A-Rank and S-Rank missions, so risking his life was nothing new. But even so, as he pushed around a corner and into the briefing room, the jounin felt a small chill run down his spine.

The briefing room had four other people in it already. Two kunoichi, one of which was one of his ANBU, and two shinobi that seemed to be leaning over a map of the village with their brows furrowed. The ANBU nodded to him slightly, indicating a respect to his authority though the rest of the people in the room would not know his true station. The other ninja came to attention for a moment and greeted the jounin quickly before launching right into he explanation that Nayoko was craving. The jounin walked over to the table and stood next to it, his arms crossed over his chest and a slight frown on his face. “We just got a report from one of the ANBU patrols outside of the wall. They saw one of our shinobi die at the hands of a ground of nukenin and followed them to determine numbers. What they found was a camp numbering about twenty of varying skill levels. They seemed to be led by one man, but a positive identification could not be made by the ANBU.” He paused for a moment to stand up straight and look to the jounin. “The administration wants this dealt with quickly. It looks like they may move to village to attack the exams. The faster they are dispatched without the public knowing, the better.” Nayoko wanted to ask why this was not a mission assigned to the ANBU, but decided to simply continue listening instead. “We have already sent another jounin, a Senju woman, to the village gates to wit for you via the message that was sent from our fallen comrade. Meet her there and move into he woods. Here is the location that they were last seen.”

Nayoko did not take long to guess who exactly was marching close to the city. A man that went by the name of Momochi Hanzo was still at large, though he had not been seen in some time. Nayoko had almost confronted him along with the former Tsuchikage at one point, but it seemed then that the missing-nin had gotten wind of their plan at that time and abandoned his camp. Now, Nayoko’s second chance has arrive, and he was not going to waste it. Nayoko glanced down at the map once again and took in the features of the area, wishing that it was closer to nightfall so that he and his partner would be able to attack under the cover of darkness. Unfortunately, it would probably be an assault on the camp at sunset, which mean tit would have to be quick and devastating. With that requirement noted, Nayoko reached out and grabbed the scroll that contained the details of his mission. “We will take care of him and his cronies. Make sure that the ANBU are prepared to repel any stragglers that may wander toward the village proper. But I do not expect any after we are done with them.”

It did not take long for the jounin to leave the administration building from a nearby window and move out onto the rooftops. It was preferable to pushing through the crowds on the lower floors and he knew he would have taken to the rooftops anyway. He jumped form one to the next for a brief time before arriving outside of the Dango house that had been identified to him. There were not many adherents at that time of day, but one particular woman stood out. He was not sure whether it was her physique or the aura that he could feel from her with his senjutsu chakra, but he knew that she was the jounin he was looking for. Nayoko quickly descended into the shop proper and approached her. “I take it you are to be my partner on the mission to deal with...the intruders in our home? My name is Nayoko Hattori…” His voice trailed off for a moment as he looked at the woman. Something about her seemed familiar, but no name came to find. The Hattori shook his head for a moment before continuing. “Forgive me if we’ve met before and I’ve forgotten your name. I haven’t been home for very long in recent years. Regardless, when you are ready, we should head out to the location hat I was provided.” He then opened up the mission scroll and showed it to the kunoichi. “I’m ready when you are.”
