Kashiki cracked his knuckles. So, the first round didn't quite go as planned, forfeiting wasn't really his style but it felt like it was the right thing to do in the end. He didn't want to take away someone else's chance at becoming a chunin, even if the could one day be hunting him down. The boy cleared his mind, that sucked, but right now he needed to focus on the present, winning this match. Kashiki slipped on his leg armor and pulled the samurai esque body armor over his shoulders. He slipped into the poncho he had won all those nights ago, it reminded him of how much he had done to prepare for the exams, the very thought of all the work strengthened Kashiki's will to win. He slipped the odachi, Gyakusatsu, into its scabbard which was now situated on his lower back. In his hip pouch rested a smoke bomb, a flash bomb, 5 shuriken, and 3 kunai. He reached out to grab his Konoha Forehead Protecter, but his hand pulled back just before it touched the headband. Did he really deserve to wear that? Especially with what he planned to do. It would be easier if he just pretended for a little while longer, for everyone. Kashiki tied the headband, the metal plate was cold, or was that just his imagination?

"Lets go Kashiki!" A proctor shouted through the door, signaling it was go time.

Kashiki stepped out into the arena, which this time seemed to be much more like what he was expecting. A huge circular arena with a flat stone floor. Weapons were strewn about the arena, stabbed into the ground or simply laying on it. Kashiki grinned as he stepped into the arena, this was probably the best case scenario for a swordsman. Kashiki stepped 20m forwards, leaving 80m to the other side of the arena and 20m behind him. A proctor stood to the side of the arena, waiting for both genin to get into position before waving his hand and shouting Go, signalling the start of the round. His opponent was a black haired boy, a spear rested on his back and a overcoat covered most of his body leaving only his head visible. Kashiki smiled as he glanced around, formulating a strategy. His opponent seemed to be a weapon user of some sort at first glance, due to the spear on his back. Kashiki was well versed in weapons and military combat, typically a spear would have quite the range advantage on a swordsman, but the odachi Kashiki wielded was nearly the same if not longer then the spear the boy used. Kashiki reached a hand into his pouch, grabbing out a metsubushi and a smoke bomb before weaving his hands into a handseal, creating 6 clones of himself. He and the clones dashed at the boy, each zigging and zagging and mixing among each other to make it harder to determine which was the original. Kashiki would throw the smoke bomb at the boy as he neared the half way mark, cloaking his attack even more.

From inside the smoke Kashiki would throw the metsubushi, more as a distraction then anything, but if it landed it would be quite the advantage. With the time bought from the metsubushi Kashiki would pull of his poncho, imbuing it with chakra and preparing a substitution technique. Kashiki and his clones would move from the smoke towards the boy, just before leaving Kashiki would weave his hands into the bird sign, activating the Still Wind Cloaking technique. Upon leaving the smoke he would be completely invisible, leaving 6 clones to lead a full on frontal assault, each attacking from slightly different angles in hopes of overwhelming his opponent. The real Kashiki on the other hand would move in a loop to the side, reaching the back of the boy about the same time as the clones would reach the boy. If his enemy was hidden or invisible at any point after him and the clones left the smoke, Kashiki would weave the bird, dragon, then ox hand seals, activating the Locomotion Sight technique.

Once the clones began attacking, Kashiki would unsheath his own blade, slicing into the boy's back. If any physical defenses or defensive jutsu were brought up or activated Kashiki would activate Otherworld Blade, causing it to phase through physical defenses and some defensive jutsu. If the blade struck the boy at all, Kashiki would activate Lesser Demon Claw and Dragonfly Scar just before impact, guaranteeing a grievous wound if the attack connected.

Makoto was still laying on the bench as his wolf ashe looked at him he gave her a glare. She huddled her head low and dropped her ears low. She knew she failed him and he knew she was weak, he knew she was not ready, but he knew it meant nothing anymore. What was done was done and the time had to move on as he had no choice but to leave her behind. He did not have time to deal with her weakness and things were more serious now as he looked towards her and said.

"Go rest and while I am out there you better not skip your training"

As he said that Ashe nodded her head in reply with a soft whimpering whine and a bark of acknowledgement. She remembered that look in his eyes when he was prepared to kick her for her disgrace, but passed up on it and told her just to rest. It was clear the feelings he felt back then were pure disappointment as he prepared to go through with this battle differently.

After contemplating at that which transpired he stopped his brooding and began to get dressed, wearing some ordinary black shorts once more with some regular pockets and a white string to tie since it felt loose to fit as he wondered if he could not get something more to his size after the exams.

Makoto then began to put on the first sock and the second sock and then a third and forth sock so that he had two pairs of two socks on each foot as he then put on his running shoes and realized they fit a bit better with two socks on instead of the looseness they usually had. He then proceeded to tie the shoe laces carefully as he began to wonder how things would go this time.

He then put on his Light Fibre Vest first as he slotted in his left arm and then his head and struggled to put in his right arm as he realized changing the order in which he got dressed would not help too much. Makoto then followed up by putting on his reinforced cotton fiber t-shirt which hid his light fibre vest and he would then put his shield on his arm and his tanto would be hidden inside the shield. He then put some metsubishi in the shield, one in his hair, one in his kaginawa launcher, another two in each of his shorts pockets, one inside his forehead protector and then the last two were placed on the edge of his yari spear carefully, they might be noticeable, but that was what he wanted them to do.

Makoto hid his makibishi's in his cloak as he put it on over hiding all his gear on his upper body as he held his arms close to hide everything but his forehead protector around his neck and his spear on his back. Unlike last time he had his lenses ready from the start with his renzugan and all its lenzes equipped this time he had his one eye showing green and his left eye appeared golden in color as he made use of this just to make the opponent maybe get confused.

He finally attached the grappling hook launcher to his right arm as usual as wondered if he would have a chance to use his new technique. Out of frustration he also put his blanket over his shoulder and then looked back at Ashe once more.

"Stop being down, get to training right now. When we get back to the village, you going to be training a lot harder so be prepared"

As Makoto walked away as Ashe slowly proceeded to prepare for her training realizing she was a failure she heard the last words mumbled by her master. "Be careful"

Makoto had his shuriken and kunai in similar locations to his previous fight and now it was time to get ready as the light from the arena was unmistakable. Makoto also had his crystal catalysts in various locations for use in battle if he needed them, however there was one more thing he needed to do, and that was to make this battle a lot more decisive as he felt the interference was unnecessary last time as he still had that glare in his eyes at the decision for the battle, while his opponent looked more confused then he did or maybe it was the pain talking, but he felt he was not done and that did not sit well with him

For this fight Makoto would not sit around and just wait for his opponent, he would prepare everything in advance this time. There was something that he needed to perfect, before he could create the ultimate offense he would need the ultimate defense as he finally got into position twenty meters in the proctor gave the signal and he chose to take action straight away. He performed the clone technique and wasted no time, they each formed hand seals as the mist creation technique was used by him and one was used by his clone as he then created a normal hidden mist as his opponent seemed to be preparing some kind of technique on the way towards them. Makoto would follow up on that with his hidden mist water reflection sight in order to see things with use of the water in the mist.

He decided to activate them all this time, having not been able to use them in the previous battle was annoying to say the least. He fired his kaginawa with his blanket behind him with the chakra imbued in it, it was also a decoy for his opponent to chase after as a trap. The clone performed the defensive jutsu first with the mist form technique and then mist wall technique as he stood right next to Makoto who then proceeded to perform the mist form technique while being within a meter radius of his clone partner. This was only the beginning as he had to test if his defenses could deal with an overwhelming assault as he also activated the armor of mist as well, all the techniques he used would blend in with the mist itself and as a whole all the jutsu performed now would appear as one jutsu to the untrained eye or without the use of a sensory technique that could tell mist blending in mist apart from other mists.

He would let his opponent challenge his mist and would then proceed to form hand seals the moment his target struck in order to prepare the water pond creation technique followed by the water tentacle technique if his opponent was still in range would form the tentacles behind his opponent to trap him however this was only if his opponent did not attempt to run away immediately as the tentacles needed some bit of time as he had other plans for this fight in general. The water tentacles could move close to ten meters per second and had a range of up to twenty meters that they could effectively reach, but in general this was only if his opponent was willing to stay within the mist after making an adventure.

In response with there being so many clones it was not something that would matter as they seemed to just dissipate on impact with the mist, which meant this was the academy technique and the fact that his opponent was already gone was something that gave away that his target was using some method of stealth technique, in a dire situation he would teleport away, but for now he would see if his opponent could get passed his four defense tactic. However his true ultimate defense was the mist wall which was not as much a wall as a support for his other hidden mist techniques as the hidden mist itself was protected from his opponent as well

The his opponent wove seals as Kashiki moved towards him, creating a clone of some sort before the area was quickly cloaked in mist. Kashiki continued with his plan, moving into the mist and striking at the being that was closest to were his opponent was when he first walked into the arena. His blade connected, his opponent not even trying to dodge the blow. 'He's cocky ain't he' Kashiki thought to himself as the blade struck at his opponent, only for the jutsu on the blade to be stripped away, except for the Otherworld Blade which phased through his armor and the mist armor jutsu before ending, allowing for one basic strike, the blade cutting a 1.5 inch deep gash across the small of his back. Kashiki brought the blade across before striking again, this time aimed for his opponent's neck. As the blade sailed through the air, Kashiki would perform the Spectral Gash technique. The mist seemed to solidify as the jutsu was created, and the blade cut through it but the chakra that once surrounded it was gone. The blade would bit into his opponent's neck if he didn't try to dodge it.

Just as the strike was completed his opponent would preform a jutsu, creating a pool of water on the ground. Kashiki would drop his sword and weave his hands into signs of his own, using the cleansing winds jutsu on his opponent, ending his water clone, hidden mist, and substitution jutsu. As that jutsu was used his opponent had already finished a second jutsu, four tendrils of water forming out of the pool of water. The tendrils struck Kashiki, binding his limbs but Kashiki's strength allowed him to break free of them. The swordsman wove his hands into another set of hand seals, slamming his hands to the ground before using them to project himself at his opponent in a burst of speed, moving at 11/m a second at the boy and attempting to tackle him to the ground. As Kashiki dashed forwards the ground began to heat up, and by the time he and his opponent hit the ground from the tackle (assuming it connected) the ground and air would be incredible hot, creating major second degree burns across the boy's body. The heat would also evaporate the pool of water therefore ending both that jutsu and the water tentacle jutsu aswell.

Calling hits due to 24 hours passing:
Tackled into Unseen Earthen Volcano: Major 2nd degree burns to your entire body

I believe that is Lethal Damage Threshold

Kashiki flew into the boy's stomach, tackling him to the ground. The two tumbled for a second before Kashiki ended up on top of him, pushing him into the ground. The heat from the Unseen Earthen Volcano technique welled around the two, the blur of heat surrounded and filled the area. Burns and blisters would cover his opponent, making it nearly impossible to fight as second degree burns covered their body. Kashiki gave one more good shove, pushing the boy hard against the ground, before standing up. He'd grab his poncho on the way to his side of the arena, before heading out the door and leaving.

More than 24 hours have passed, so Kashiki's attacks land in the way he describes. Mist Wall is stripped away by Cleansing Winds, leaving Makoto open to further assault by the B-rank jutsu (which exceeds the Mist Armor's capacity). Due to the excruciating pain of major 2nd degree burns all over one's body being beyond the capacity of genin endurance, the match goes to Kashiki.

Kashiki reached a hand into his pouch, grabbing out a metsubushi and a smoke bomb before weaving his hands into a handseal, creating 6 clones of himself.

From inside the smoke Kashiki would throw the metsubushi, more as a distraction then anything, but if it landed it would be quite the advantage.

Using these two posts as reference points in time and when actions happen, Kashiki is currently approaching Makoto at the time of Makoto casting the clone technique. It can be assumed that between the time the clone is created and the mist creation technique is used. Makoto neglects to evade or respond to the iron shavings and thus it shall be assumed that they land, and Makoto is blinded for one post.

Due to the nature of this hit, being iron shavings in the eyes, it will be assumed that Makoto would need to react reasonably, and thus certain actions (the blanket and substitution technique) would be voided, and actions after the casting of Armour of Mist would be nullified by Kashiki's presence. Because Makoto did not state any movement occurred and this is assigned damage due to 24h ruling, Kashiki's Otherworld Blade collides with the Armour of Mist and both techniques nullify one another.

Furthermore, the basic strike continues and lands true. Lesser Demon Claw and Dragonfly Scar are also activated, and Makoto is dealt enough damage to place him in the Lethal Damage Threshold. The match goes to Kashiki.
