Exhibition Match Mission:

Umeko walked onto the sparring grounds, pulling a pair of black fingerless gloves over her delicate fingers and onto her hands. She looked around, her golden orbs searching for a open arena that she could claim for her cute friend Teiho and herself. A smile crept on her face as she thought about the boy and just how deliciously adorable he was. The two were suppose to meet up here and get a few sparring rounds going to entertain a restless crowd but it seemed she had gotten there first, or at least she thought she did. Her golden orbs continued to scan the area for any signs of the golden haired boy but she just couldn't spot him, which was impossible for her not to do. Sighing she found herself standing near a circular shaped fighting arena. It looked simple enough, nothing as outstanding as those on for the main events but it was enough to serve it's purpose. The arena shared the same dimensions as those made for the main event having a fifty meter radius. It didn't have any weird mechanics, it was just a simple slightly elevated arena for those wanting to fight.

Taking a neutral stance and starting a few stretches starting with her legs, her mind drifted off to a simpler time. A time where she didn't have to bust her ass trying to win her parents affections. With her mind in another time she continued her stretches. Her legs squatting low before stretching her left leg all the way out before bringing it back in and repeating the process with her right leg. She could hear the small snaps that came with popping out the old muscles and joints. It felt good and made her feel a lot more...Loose. Standing back up in her neutral position she began on her arms, got her hips and over parts in stretching order before scanning the area once more and hopping into the arena. Umeko placed her hands on her hips and wondered if maybe he could see her.

It wasn't like she was unnoticeable, not many people were walking around with locs of emerald and eyes of gold, and that's wasn't even mentioning her attire. A black and gold pleated mini skirt that came up just above the middle of her thighs, gold sports bra with a small black iwa symbol right above her left breast, on her feet shoe wore some very comfortable black shoes that did very well in all sorts of weather. Her green locks her pinned up in a ponytail, she wasn't very hard to miss and she knew it by the stares she was getting for the more.. Hormonal young men in the area. She of course would ignore them and practice a few simple combos, mostly those that countered head on attacks. She was sure Teiho would show up, but until then she needed her blood to pump. Being constantly called worthless because she wasn't reaching the standards of the people she wanted to notice her the most was a pain in the ass, but after this exam she would at least go home stronger than she came.

It wouldn’t take Taiho too long to awake and arrive to the training grounds that had been propped up for the Chuunin exam attendants. It was honestly no surprise to him that they were even able to devise and create such a wide expanse to be used for training between rounds. Looking about, he was greeted with the sight of quite a few stone circles, all of them slightly raised above the grassy plains and many were host to quite a few battles between shinobi, both young and old alike. The vibrant energy of the area brought a bit of life to Taiho’s eyes as he jogged into the area itself, eager to meet up with his close friend and village mate Umeko for a spar. He was honestly surprised the young woman had asked to spar him in close combat, he was certain that it wasn’t her forte, her being a ninjutsu focused shinobi after all. And he was also fairly certain that outside of grabbing their targets legs during a mission a month or so back, she had not had a decent close range altercation with someone since most likely the academy. So attempting to fight him would likely be seen as a good deal of practice to at least brush up on the fundamentals if he really and truly thought about it.

He’d reach the platform they were sparring on shortly after entering. It apparently had been one of the closer ones to the entrance itself but, after a short hop to actually stepped onto the stone platform. He would walk over to Umeko, watching her carefully as she stretched and contemplated doing it himself, but considering he usually stretched properly before even leaving his place of residence, decided against it and merely waited for Umeko to be ready. He would admire the young woman’s form just like all of the other males around, it was definitely clear that puberty was finally beginning to take hold of his mind. While of course his moderate physical attraction to her form was just that, moderate, it would be a disservice to call the young woman merely pleasant on the eyes. Even in the basic training gear she wore, she could be called relatively stunning for those who found themselves fully attracted to her. For Taiho, he kept it simple, choosing to go for a similar tank top style with a white one that was tucked into his brown and black Iwagakure standard martial artists training pants. The baggy pants flared out from his hips down to his feet were they were sufficiently tight without cutting off his circulation. On his feet he wore a simple pair of martial artists slippers.

Giving Umeko a bright cheery smile, he’d greet her pleasantly with an ecstatic, “Good morning Umeko-chan!” The exclamation was beyond cute as he stood there with before her, his long blonde hair having been pulled into a ponytail for this venture. He was sure to be ready for her once she was ready to begin.

She could feel the joints pop in various places as she began to contort her body in a more elaborate manner. With each movement and each joint “ pop “ she could feel herself getting looser and more flexible. This would not just be an exhibition match for the both of them, no this would be a training session for her as well. She was good with range, it was something she practiced on. Her taijutsu was something that was seriously lacking, and as a ninja she shouldn't have let it get as bad as it did. A silent prayer was said to an unknown god that something would be gained out of this, she also would appreciate it if she didn’t get hit in her face.

Thinking too much on what could happen she didn’t see Taiho walk up but she heard him which made her quickly turn towards him and nearly throw her body on top of his in an attempt to give him a hug only pulling a way to let words fall out of her mouth like a child that was far too excited to see it’s favorite person. “ Taiho-kun~ You made it~ Just in time too. We are up for an Exhibition Match in a few minutes.  When they call our names we have to move to another stage. It’ll be like this one, just a little more well lit..Or so I’m told. I heard you won your first match by the way, I knew you would. Although...I am a little disappointed in you for wrecking your dress but I’ll forgive you if you win this match, and then we can go buy  more! I’ve seen the styles they have hear, ugh flawless let me tell you, so many vibrant colors and different styles.

She knew at this point she was rambling on but she very much enjoyed Taiho’s company so she could not help herself even if she wanted to. But she found that she would soon be cut off as her name was called out along with Taiho’s. Her smile grew wider as her eyes gleamed with a sort of mischievous sparkle.  “ Aww I thought we would have more time, and here I wanted to have a little warm up session before we started. Ah well I’ll see you on the stage. “ Pecking his cheek with a kiss she released him from her hold, the hug she never let go of but instead pulled back just enough so the two could be face to face when she was speaking to him. Once she did let him go she made her way to the area where the announcer had called the fighters.

Welcome all, Welcome all! This a special Exhibition match against Iwagakure’s own. One of the winners the first round Taiho Seiker and Umeko Sencho! This Match will be a Taijutsu Exhibition. That means no Ninjutsu, Medical Ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu, Genjutsu, or use of weapons. Now let the fight Begin!

The two would be entering on opposite sides of the arena, Umeko entering the arena to the tame sounds of cheers, nothing like those on the main stages but still it was nice to hear something. Moving forward about ten meters she got into a fighting stance, Her right foot slightly behind her left foot which was slightly ahead. her right heel lifted slightly from the ground in order to be able to move at a moment’s notice. Hands raised towards her chin and mimicking the position of her feet. Her arms and hands relaxed, her hands not ball up into a fist but open, her knees a bit bent. She wasn’t great at taijutsu and even though she didn’t practice it as heavily as others she wasn’t completely loss on it as she would like to think. Her stance was one of aggression, but it was also one of caution on her behalf, if he took the first strike she would be able to act accordingly.

He knew how excitable the young woman could be and it still surprised him all the same. He could never get used to someone having so much boundless energy whenever they saw someone. Of course he seemed to get the same way when combat was involved, but that was because he molded by and deeply enjoyed combat. Wearing comfortable clothing and gossiping was a distant third or fourth if he was truly honest with himself. But it made her happy and thus kept her in a rather cheery mood, something that he learned early on to maintain. Of course, the girl still lacked the ability to maintain a safe spatial distance, closing in on him almost instantly and then hugging him as tightly as her flimsy arms could. To his rather hard body it felt nice but it likely wouldn’t have been all that swell for her having to hug muscle.

Smiling back to her, he would let her chatter his ears off, her discussing the mechanics of the exercise as well as where they would need to go was filtered away as necessary but unnecessary details for now. Her compliments about his victory as well as her dismay at him subsequently tearing up the gift she had gotten him and broken his heart slightly. He knew he was going to catch it for that honestly and only hoped she had forgot. It only brought his mind back to dwell on the fact that he had in fact only won because his opponent had effectively underestimated what he could and how he could do it. Of course there was nothing wrong with underestimating an opponent, but it always came back to bite you if you weren’t fully prepared in the first place. Her offer to go out and buy more dresses if he won the next match kind of brightened his mood a bit, but it wasn’t something that he was too worried about. He knew that she would likely try to get him in a new dress regardless of what he told her.

The announcement of their names would spare him from more of her shenanigans, or at least some of them as she perked up at the sound of her own name. Taiho himself had realized he had been rather dull throughout the entire ordeal but also knew that attempting to talk while Umeko was rambling on was a recipe for disaster. Giggling at her distraught expression, he was cut short when he saw the glint in her eyes and immediately looked for a way out of whatever she could possibly do to him. Whatever he was expecting wasn’t what he got when the young woman kissed him softly on the cheek and lighting his face ablaze at the affection. It wasn’t so much the action that got him blushing. He had been receiving and giving such shows of affection to his various clientele for ages, but for some reason this one just felt a bit more... off... Regardless during the peck, she had finally began to loosen her grip before finally taking off to the other stage. Shaking himself out of his stupor he moved to join her.

Stepping onto the stage opposite of Umeko, he would stand himself about ten meters away and face her directly. He fought himself mentally to keep from slipping into his more... bloodthirsty tendences and rationalized it by saying that it was practice for her, not himself. Taking a deep calming breath, he’d take a stance himself, this one far more relaxed than his normal boxing stances. He’d softly shaking hands out before stepping back and to the side slightly until his entire left side was facing Umeko. Balancing on the balls of his feet, his body would shift itself back as his knees bent softly to manage his center of weight better. His hands would shift with his right rising up to frame the right side of his face while his left was held horizontally across the front of his body with his elbow pointing directly towards Umeko. Continuing his soft breathing, he’d begin to bounce softly from one foot to the other without actually moving his feet, only softly swaying forward in her direction before swaying backwards in a quick tempo. His eyes and head were both turned towards her completely as he took in everything about her stance before deducing it’s basic premise. Containing his thoughts, he would wait patiently for Umeko to approach him before testing her offensive capabilities.

Staring at the ref, it seemed the young man was far too distracted by how the both of them looked, it was that or the fact that the training grounds had suddenly been subjected to a rather ridiculous scene of a young man setting his pants on fire. For some reason this fire seemed to jump rather rapidly among the participants and spectators causing the shinobi proctor to swear out loud and rush over to aid in putting out the flames. Frowning at the fact that their spar had been cancelled in such a fashion, Taiho would bow to Umeko gracefully before smiling and rubbing the back of his head. He wished he had been able to spar with the young woman but knew that circumstances dictate otherwise. Figuring that he now had free time, he would walk away from the training area to go find a nice quiet clearing to train in. He wouldn’t let the small disservice prevent him from working on his forms. He had to make sure he was in tip top shape for his next match. Little did he know that walking away from that spar would be one of the last times he would see the young woman who had become a close friend to him.
