Nulden was silently patrolling the village, just waiting for anything that could go wrong to go wrong. Kumogakure had become a very boring place as of late and this tiny little shinobi was in desperate need of stimulation. There had been no real formal training. Missions were hit and miss at the very best. There weren’t nearly enough people to harass and not get injured. The mines got boring after a while. They were nice and shady, but nothing new ever happened. Even the crime here was repetitive.

Nulden went out by the gate just hoping that maybe, just maybe something would happen to change the boringness of his existence in this world. It was icy cold out today, but the sun that he desperately wanted to avoid was still shining through the gates. Something amazing had to happen today. Nulden looked up to the sky and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath just to try and keep sane.

I had just left Kirigakure and had left behind my life there, it was over finally. I had even sent my father the compeltly opposite direction of where I was going, my father hearing that I was going to Iwagakure when indeed I was at my new home, Kumogakure. Hopefully he would never look for me here.

As I approached the village gates, holding my bag of cloths and gear over my shoulder with my left arm I looked at the gates. So this is where I would attempt to join forces with. The village was high in the mountains, completely different from Kirigakure but I would adapt.I just had to hope that the village would accept a Kaguya clan member.

As I walked the chilling wind blew and brought the rope around my waist upwards, trying to carry the rope belt away from me. Despite the cold I still walked shirtless, my arm wrappings newly wrapped as I was on the boat, and my pants fluttering with the wind. Adaption wouldn't be to hard, I could deal with the weather.

Nulden stared out into the distance as he watched a very human shape getting larger and larger as the man approached. The man looked like a walking weapon. This fierce looking shinobi was just what Kumogakure needed to come back to life. It didn't matter what made him leave his old village. He could be visiting or he could be a dangerous rouge, as long as he was entertaining.

Instead of rushing the man like he really wanted to, Nulden leaped up on to the top of the gates. He crouched down as he landed but remained on the tips of his toes and kept his hands close to each other in case an immediate hand seal was needed. His pulse was raising with anticipation but he did everything in his power to make absolutely sure that his face remained a pleasant smile. There would be no need to anger the man if he wasn't an aggressor, but deep down Nulden really hoped that he was.

As I got closer I saw either a child or a short person on the top of the gates, looking over towards me. The first Kumogakure resident I would meet it seems. I raised my hand up in a greeting. I guess I should make a good impression. "Hey there" I yelled over as I approached ever so closer to the gate. My headband was gone, or at least the metallic portion that held my village, and I had ripped off the metallic band on my rope belt that showed my village as well, seeing as they had both been nullified.

Even without the village proclamation I still looked like a fighter, no one could say I did not appear to be a shinobi of some sort, hopefully they would just accept me, but I was sure ready for a fight one way or another.

Nulden jumped down from the gate and landed directly in front of the man. He then straightened up and extended a hand to shake. "Hello sir! My name is Nulden Shi! It is a great pleasure to be of your acquainted today! How might I serve you?" Nulden continued to push his exaggerated joy in spite of how much fun the man would have been to fight. Nulden could immediately tell that he was no weakling. That didn't scare Nulden, but manners were still the most important thing.

As long as the man tried to be polite, he could send Nulden through the gate and they could still be friends at the end. Even if he turned out to be some violent criminal, this handshake would be what determined how Nulden interacted with him.

As the man jumped in front of me I looked down at him, not in a bad way, just because of his height really. "Hello then Nudeln Shi, I am Hayato, it is a pleasure to meet someone so nice on my first journey here." I said with a smile to the young man. "Would you mind pointing me towards the Raikage's building? I want to speak to him about joining the village." I told him, eager to meet the Raikage and proclaim the reasons why he should be accepted into their military."I want to try and schedule an appointment today, just so it lowers risk."

Nulden stretches out his leg and swirls around to point directly upwards while marching forward. He walks through the gate merrily, knowing that he was about to help this village get a little bit more interesting. "Follow me sir! I will take you to meet lord Midnight personally!" Nulden hoped that Hayato was allowed into Kumogakure. This could make life a thousand times better. He wasn't bad looking either, though Nulden had no intentions on making any advances. There was no need to take a chance to offend a man three times Nulden's size. For now Nulden would just admire him as an interesting experiment to bring some life to Kumo.

I smiled as Nudeln began to march forward. I marched directly behind him, only four steps behind. We walked as if we were soldiers ordered to march, without perfect foot motion. "So you're a shinobi right? What rank are you?" I asked out of curiosity. I felt like I had to fight Nudeln and test his skill, and if he was good enough then we could become good friends through battle. I wasn't going to revert back to me fighting everyone I saw but I would gladly fight someone like him, he seems as if he had some hidden fighting skills built into his small body.

Nulden does not slow down, but does have to take a moment to think about that question. Nulden was not involved in a lot of fighting so his rank was hardly ever important. "I am a genin of Kumogakure, though most of my work is in the feeding of the other troops. I am very skilled in both, in my opinion." Nulden is then startled by the fact that he had not asked the same question already. "What about you? And are you comfortable telling me where you are from?"

I stopped marching once the question was asked and smiled, hoping Nudeln would notice and stop himself. "Well how about this, me and you have a sparring session. I think you should be able to figure out what village I was from, I think once you see me fight for awhile you'll figure it out." I said with a smile, I was ready for a good fight, I haven't had one in awhile.

"We would have to go somewhere else though for a fight, wouldn't want to ruin everyone's home and their streets." I said with a large smile, ready to start punching.

Nulden giggles and takes off running through the gates, the idea of a new kumogakure shinobi making him unbearably excited. He would be so proud to allow a powerful new shinobi into their ranks. He would be even more proud to be the one who got to first test out his abilities! Nulden lead him to the battle plateau to see what he was capable of. A great fighter would do more to revive the village than just some traveler passing by! And there would be information gained in this fight!

"Just follow me Mr. Hayato!" Nulden chimes happily as he runs. "I know the best place to fight! That is the entire purpose I think! And it looks hard to break!"

I followed Nudeln to the destined location. Tightening my arm wraps and re-wrapping my left arm I was ready for a battle, as usual. I didn't know what about this genin was but he seemed like he had hidden potential. Hopefully he would prove his strength to me, and show me that Kumogakure would be strong enough to support my own strength.
