Tyrande is not like other cat's her age, she has never found anything interesting about tomcats or her cat-like peers. She loves ninjutsu and is always curios about them. She shares this same curiosity with her friend and master who like her only cares about jutsu and mastering them. With shared interests they formed a bond Makoto and Tyrande, learning and spreading the word of jutsu everywhere.

Tyrande can understand and even speak to humans, but she only ever speaks to Makoto, unless she feels she needs to speak as she has a maturity about her as well as she feels like she has adopted her first son, though she could never tell Makoto this.
