Erase the Past D-Rank:

If his village was all about exploration and helping people, and Konoha was all about building and expanding, then was Kumogakure all about destruction. Makoto received a mission from Kumogakure to simply destroy anything that represented Sunagakure from symbols to banners and this just meant destroying their culture in general. He did not like this mission, but as long as he was not destroying books on jutsu he did not care as he went out and proceeded to start this mission off far differently then the ones he had done before.

Makoto created his six clones from the start and began to fan out as the searched through the excavation areas for anything sunagakure related. The original Makoto went to stand at a central point and sat down while the six of him each checked out a small area in side a large ruins he had spotted.

The first Makoto clone encountered a pile of books with symbols and while he wanted to read through them, the clone realized it was best to just take all of them outside and toss them in a pile.

The second Makoto entered one of the rooms and found a bunch of silverware of sorts and eating things with symbols and just began to bash them against each other. Scraping the cups together to rub the symbology away as this must have been an eating area. He then took out his sword and cut this curtain that may be a banner or simply another curtain as he cut it into about three or four sheets so he could carry it and also adding it to the pile along with some of the cookware that seemed unusable now.

The third, forth, fifth and sixth Makoto's stood watch on opposite ends in case of intruders or hostile attackers that may or may not interfere with what he was busy doing. In a four man set up that was like a compass with North south east and west Makoto all keeping watch.

The original Makoto just rested in the middle while he wanted to take a nap he had to stay vigilant so that he could co-ordinate with his clones in case of emergencies. The first Makoto clone had gotten as many books and written things as he could and was now running around getting banners, posters and other strange looking cloth and placing them on the pile. The second Makoto began to roam around as well looking for things that may be sunagakure style and noticed some stained glass and just decided to bashed it with the hilt of his tanto.

Makoto began to prepare to complete his preparations as he slid down to the ground as his clones gathered closer tossing all that was left into the pile as he looked there and then looked around and began to think on the past.

Makoto's mom and dad loved items like these, relics of the past and the history they shared. They loved the thrill of discovery and learning new things about this world that had long since been forgotten, as Makoto understood this feeling he also knew that with time things change for the better or worse. Like his mastery of the clone jutsu which he felt was rather heavy on his chakra pool, while at the same time he felt it was something he needed to learn to master better as he attempted to combine his jutsu to create new jutsu. He had not successfully combined the hidden mist technique with the water clone technique as he began to wonder if he would ever succeed.

The clones all gathered behind the real Makoto as he took a deep breathe as the chakra gathered deep inside his mouth and throat, he performed the tiger hand seal that was associated with this element and then he exhaled rapidly. A gas began forming that could not be seen, but would have had a nasty smell if his clones were not behind him as the pile began to be weighed down by this invisible threat.

Makoto then inhaled a second time flooding his throat with even more chakra as he then expelled it while focusing as several tiny spheres shot towards the target as everything ignited into a burst of flames as the past was being erased with fire. Burning the past of the village that he had soon discovered was nothing more then a wasteland in the aftermath of a massacre.

As the wind blew away the ashes like dust Makoto went to return with his job having been done he would now set out to complete one more task.
