D-rank event mission:

The light brown color home that was quickly fading due to years of neglect being assaulted by endless small drops of rain. At the eastern corner of the home was a small frame split into four clear squares, the sound of pouring rain pattering against the clear stainless window like a beat of a drum with each passing second. From within was a woman of intricate yet strange beauty, hair identical to freshly grown grass with vibrant flowers woven into it whilst a pair of wooden-like antlers grow from just above her ear's going over her head and skin a slightly paler shade of green, a hard yet thin wooden armor stitched into her skin functioning like a pair of clothes that went from her navel all the way passed her neck whilst covering her arms leaving an awkwardly diamond-shaped section of her cleavage showing, and just slightly above her knee the same thin layered wood woven over her skin functioning as a pair of high knee socks that traveled all the way down to the very tip of her toes.

To anyone, this beauty was a rare creature who held mysteries of how she came to be, but this beauty had actually been he no more than just a week ago by the name of Mokuzai Senju. His current form was a medical experiment on his own clan's gene's gone wrong changing his body down to the genetic level and heightening his Senju cells to new levels whilst changing the genetic makeup that made him male. A somewhat soft sigh would escape the new females lips as she thought about the events that transpired just four days ago, following her visit to the hospital where they informed her that there was no way to change her back to a male she was forced to change her name from Mokuzai to Mikumi, Senju. Although she was still quite not use to the change of her biology and the sway of her new breasts, what made this most heartbreaking was the lost of her name, throughout her life whenever someone asked who she was or what village she was from she would always say proudly "Mokuzai, Senju of Konohagakure!" and although she knew she was still the same person whenever she tried repeated the words "Mikumi, Senju of Konohagakure!" it didn't have the same impact as before making her somewhat depressed.

Suddenly the sound of a horn would blow in the village starting Mikumi as she looked out the window as a voice started to speak, "ALL AVAILABLE NINJA REPORT TO THE HOKAGE'S OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO REPORT TO THE FRONT LINES" Oh yeah, Mikumi had been so caught up in what she was going through lately that she almost forgot that Konoha was indeed engaged in a war much like the other village's with the remnants of Sungakure people, she didn't like the idea of going to battle with how she looked now but an order was order and Mikumi although no longer her former-self was still a shinobi of Konohagakure.

Although her womanly bits were well protected with the thin layer of armor Mikumi still felt the need to dress herself, she dashed towards her closet grabbing her plain white t-shirt that she always wore, however unlike before because of her large breasts that were C-cups the shirt had only managed to reach slightly just above where her navel was located and proceeded to slip on her black jacket which she was relieved to know slipped on easier now than before due to her smaller frame. However, as she tried to slip on her standard chunin black pants she found her new form added quite a bit of extra fat to her legs and butt making her pants a tight fit, with no time to look for other clothing Mikumi quickly cut off most of the leggings fashioning her pants into hot shorts that covered the small bit of her body as her legs were well covered.

She quickly grabbed her scythe and throw it over her shoulder as a strap held it in place and stuffed her pouch with kunai's and senbon needles, then moved on to tighten the bandage's around her arms that concealed two scrolls that could summon two giant shurikens whenever she needed. Now that she was ready she flipped the hood of her jacket that although covered her face did not completely conceal her hair as some of it flowed from the left and right side, she quickly opened the window and stepped out onto the ledger and then closed it back shut before heading towards the Hokage office for what she could only assume would be a long battle.

He was laid up on his bed with a towel on his head and a towel around his waist, he had just stepped out of the shower. The sound of droplets on his window and the breeze blowing through nearby tress had indicated that it was raining outside. Satoru had material to read, either he was gonna choose to read his comics or skim through some scrolls to help him learn jutsu. His mind was in an entirely different place, he didn't even think of it on his own accord, it just popped up. The past week has been very hectic for him, Satoru embarked on two of his first missions, both of which were threats to his life and one of them was where he had killed his first opponent. It should've been an easy target for a shinobi to carry out and it was, but he thought of himself as more than a shinobi, he wondered what kinda of life he was gonna live from now on. Was he just gonna spend his days as a shinobi murdering other ninjas by the dozen? His mind slowly wandered off into a meditation induced by the cool temperature from the rain outside and the comfort his towels offered, he closed his eyes and thought to himself "Man, for a genin i sure do get put into a lot of danger, i wonder if I usually get dispatched based on my age? Seems totally-" he was interrupted by the sound of a large horn coming from outside his window, a man yelling at the top of his voice soon followed with,"ALL AVAILABLE NINJA REPORT TO THE HOKAGE'S OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO REPORT TO THE FRONT LINES." Satoru sprung up onto his feet and walked to his wardrobe. Judging by the news given to him by certain ninja in the village, it was time to represent konoha in the ongoing war against the 'Red sand' and he knew it. He hurried to put on his sandals, black pants and his white vest and get out of the house. His haori jacket and white rope sash was hung on next to his window, he grabbed them both and jumped out of the window, knowing that he could put it before he got the the hokage's office. "Here we go!"

It was raining outside at the time. Even though he wasn't one to usually parkour through the village, he didnt want to spent a whole lot of time in the rain so he quickly scaled the closest building and started making his way to the hokage's office. The villagers of the konoha looked up into the sky and saw Satoru leaping from rooftop to rooftop effortlessly, some of them were impressed with his progression as a genin, as he is a little old to be a genin, alot of people weren't expecting much progress from him. After a while of his parkour navigation through the village, he jumped down into the street, sweaty, tired and panting for air. The hokage's office was just a few buildings in front of him, he could practically see the guards from the middle of the road where he was standing but he had not yet put on all his clothes. Satoru's sweat was camouflaged by the rain, he slid his arms into the haori jacket and left it open for a while to get the sash ready. He began to slowly walk in the office's direction, slowly regaining the energy he had just used to get there while throwing the thick sash over him like a jump rope. He tied it in a bow at the left side of his hips, closing his jacket at the waist, leaving his vest and upper torsto exposed. "Hmm, i don't want to report to the front lines all by myself. I should travel with a squad at least, others will hear the call and come. It seems for now i'm the first one here. I guess i'll just wait" He stopped at the outer wall of the building, leaning on the wall because there was a thin layer of shade there from the light rain. He stood there waiting for other shinobi to that chose to answer the call to show up. Satoru knew this mission was perilous, after what he's been through in Sunagakure during the past week, he would much rather the company of a few other shinobi this time.

His body had been bruised and battered a bit during his time out in the field in Sunagakure. His time as a scout during the initial phase of the battle going on in the glassed over wasteland had hardened him to the tough life of a shinobi, and had some scars to show for it. As he sat in his bed resting having just returned from the front lines as a leaf scout, he looked forward to a bit of relaxation before he would inevitably be sent back in. He layed down in his bed and began to nod off slightly before his precious rest. As he fell into a beautiful slumber, his mind began to settle and the realities of the things he had seen and done were fading a bit into lucid dreams. However these dreams would be short lived as his slumber would be interrupted by a booming voice over the village's loud speakers, "ALL AVAILABLE NINJA REPORT TO THE HOKAGE'S OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO REPORT TO THE FRONT LINES". "Ugh...." he groaned as he trashed about in his bed angrily over being denied some well deserved down time. He contemplated ignoring the call to duty but he knew that he had a job to do. He threw off his covers and began to get dressed, putting on his grey slip over shoes and his harem pants. He grabbed his white shirt which was draped over the chair at his desk and slipped it on quickly, checking himself in the mirror to make sure he had put it on correctly in his haste. "Back to the field we go I suppose," he lamented to himself as he threw on his Basotho blanket and grabbed his bow from its mantle. With a bit of hesitation, he opened his bedroom window and lept from the edge down to the adjacent building, using his bugs to close the window behind him. "May as well have a bit of fun on the way there since I got nothing better to do," he contemplated as he allowed his inner traceur to take hold.

He ran from rooftop to rooftop leaping over fire places and lunging over the gaps between the buildings as fast as he could with a great amount of efficiency possible. He would soon come up upon the administration building. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a familiar face waiting on one of the side walls of the building. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be that the shinobi waiting was the same one that he had been on a mission with previously back in Suna. "I should sneak up on him, I wonder if he has learned to watch his surroundings," he thought to himself. After contemplating messing with his fellow leaf nin, he decided he would let him slide for now at least. He did a twisting flip down from his perch on the roof tops landing near the other nin who didn't seem to be paying attention. N'Jobu was sure that the other shinobi had heard his landing as he didn't even try to silence his presence and wouldn't be startled by him when he walked but he couldn't know for sure. He walked past the other shinobi towards the entrance of the administration building. He quipped to his comrade "Pay attention, let's go," as he continued to the front of the administration building where many other leaf shinobi were waiting in wings. The voice on the loud speaker rang through the air as loud as thunder cracking during a stormy night."EACH OF YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ASSIGNED UNIT AND WILL PROCEED TO THE FRONT LINES FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS," the disembodied voice belted out from the building loud speakers.

Several of the villages jonin appeared to be field commanders and were assigning units to the many shinobi before them. Soon after the original announcement, N'Jobu would here his name be called and he sprung forward to receive his orders. He grabbed the scroll from the jonin commander and unfurled it to see just what he would be doing out on the front lines. As he read his orders, he smirked to himself and began to head towards the gate leading out of Konoha. He knew he would have a few other shinobi in his squad so he figured he should probably wait for them instead of leaving them behind as much as he may wanted to. "Well, time to wait I suppose...hopefully the don't take forever," he murmered to himself as he posted himself up a tree in front of the gate.

Upon closing the window of her bedroom door Mikumi mood switched from her usual cheerful attitude towards a more mission-focused mindset. Mikumi herself couldn't remember at what point she became like this, but every since then killing the village's enemies was a much easier task then when she had just started out as a ninja, she wondered if she still had any amount of small innocence within herself but now was not the time to question but a time for action.  Taking a deep breath in an attempt to quell the last of her uneasiness Mikumi simply stepped off the ledge of her window letting herself fall straight down right onto the neighborhood kids trampoline set that they used to simulate the raw jumping power of ninja's like herself to boost her own, upon landing she bent her knees and jumped off soaring in the air at a lower altitude but nonetheless for that moment it gave her the same type of peaceful feeling as she would assume a bird felt mid-flight.

Although the mock feeling of flight was enjoyable it was fleeting as Mikumi begun to lose the small amount of altitude after traveling about thirty-two meters away, while she was falling back down towards the ground she spotted a rail that would be just within range of her falling altitude, with a quick flick of her wrist by slightly twisting her arm to behind her back she released her scythe and upon getting close to the rail she used the bladed part to slide down off the railing landing on the ground and continued on towards the Hokage administration building sprinting at full speed.

Just as Mikumi arrived, she was practically stampeded by other leaf shinobi, she was happy that so many of her fellow comrade's headed the call to action, but the lack of space between everyone and herself was quite the hindrance. Not long would it before she would hear a loud screech from the very same speakers that called her into action, "EACH OF YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ASSIGNED UNIT AND WILL PROCEED TO THE FRONT LINES FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS!" Several of the villages jonin appeared to be field commanders and were assigning units to all the shinobi present, Mikumi couldn't help feel jealousy as her climb through to the top of the shinobi ranking in Konoha had and still is a long and torturous one, but as she reasoned with herself that her efforts in the war would help her promotion it all seemed worth it.

At first, when one of the village jonin called out her name she didn't recognize it as her brain hadn't exactly gotten used to the feel of it but upon the jonin saying it a third time her brain finally connected and she rushed towards the front apologizing for her rudeness in a formal matter before receiving her orders. Once she opened the scroll she would read its contents, it didn't say much. It could ultimately be summed up as a relocation mission towards the front line's, Mikumi could only guess that any further instructions would be reiterated upon arrival meaning all she had to do was meet her squad at the village gates.

Already well prepared to jump into the fray of war Mikumi wasted no time in  jumping from rooftop to rooftop all the way to the village gates at full speed, it didn't take her very long to reach the village wall and she would take a minute to turn around and look at the village while saying to herself, "Later Konoha, ill be seeing you another time!"  With that, she leaped from the village wall into a tree merging with it in a split second, she noticed a male of tanned skin and hair twisted into small dreads was waiting nearby and judging by their location, it was most likely her fellow squadmate, she would move within the tree   until she appeared right beside them, "Hello there, you must be my squad mate The name is Mikumi, pleasure to meet you~"

The rain had eased up, giving Satoru more of a reason to go inside. As he was heading into the building one of his former classmates had just left the building and had halted him where he stood, "Hey Sato, i see you been busy in Suna, great work out there. I offered to bring your breifing to you, looks like you're off to Suna again. I won't be on the front lines, I gotta go escort a vip to their destination. Good Luck" his friend spoke to him. "Thanks a lot man. Good luck on your mission too, protect them at all costs, you got that?" Satoru said walking away from the Hokage's building.

He read his mission directives while walking towards the village gates to meet his other squadmates. On his way there, he looked up and realized that there were a lot of ninja heading to the front lines. Those who weren't running to through the village to get there had been engaged a series of parkour across the village rooftops, trying to get there as quickly as they can. This made Satoru think that maybe he wasn't considering the urgency of the task, he started picking up his past by jogging towards the gate as he knew his squadmates probably fully understoodd the urgency of the mission at hand, if he was late, he could leave a very bad impression on his squadmates. As a fresh genin, he felt like being sent out like this would be a perfect chance for him to prove to his superiors just what he is capable of, after having this thought, he tightened the Konohagakure head protector that he wore on his thigh and picked up the pace even further.

Closing in on his squadmates, Satoru wasn't very far from the gates. He could see his squadmates and coincedently one of them was N'jobu, a partner from one of his previous missions. He was actually glad to have him as a partner again, seeing his profficiency as a shinobi first hand was more than enough to know that he would do just fine out on the front lines. His other squadmate was a scythe wielding girl, slightly taller than N'Jobu and her entire body was of a green coloring. He was about 10m away from them now, he stopped jogging and was now walking towards them, from the looks of things, the girl had just gotten there and was introducing herself to N'Jobu. "Hey N'Jobu! Has Konoha always had a 'She-Hulk", Satoru jested to break the tension of a mission that had otherwise seemed to be very urgent and serious. As he got closer to them he spoke to the girl, "Aha, i'm sorry im just kidding around. The name is Satoru, how are you?" he apologized to the girl in a light hearted manner for making her a prop in his little joke.

After waiting for around 15 minutes or so, N'Jobu caught a glimpse of a female like figure coming towards him quite quickly. After hopping off of a building down to the front gate she began to walk toward him and then spoke out to him "Hello there, you must be my squad mate The name is Mikumi, pleasure to meet you~". She was unlike anyone, or rather anything he had ever seen before but it was quickly understood that she was likely a member of the Senju clan based on her appearance. He looked her up and down just trying to deciepher just what she was. It was clearly the figure of a woman with hair  that appeared to look like freshly grown grass with flowers  and wooden antlers just above her ears.  She appeared to be wearing or rather growing a wooden armor which covered her torso, leaving a diamond shaped window which revealed her ample cleavage which he observed to be quite nice, albiet....green. Snapping himself out from looking at her cleavage which was clearly designed to draw some attention, he responded back to her, "My name is N'Jobu. Nice to meet you. I think we are still waiting for someone el..." he replied as he was cut off by a familiar voice from behind him. "Hey N'Jobu! Has Konoha always had a 'She-Hulk", Satoru yelled out as N'Jobu sighed in embarrassment. "Sorry about that Mikumi..." he sighed.

"Aha, i'm sorry im just kidding around. The name is Satoru, how are you?" Satoru said in a joking manner to Mikumi. N'Jobu shook his head and turned towards the path headed west to Sunagakure. "Come on...It seems like we have all been assigned to Konoha's scout unit on the front lines. I've already been out there before so its pretty familiar to me," N'Jobu touted to his comrades before he set off on a sprint. He knew the trip took about 3 days on foot so they would be moving for quite some time. He figured he would get to know his fellow comrades on the way there and get enough information on them to understand their strengths or weaknesses as this information could come in handy on the battlefield. He generally wasn't one for starting conversation but should one of the two decide to talk to him, he would reply in kind. The trip would take them deep through the forests of Hi no Kuni into the desert wasteland that he knew as Kaze no Kuni. It wasn't the most fun of trips but at least it was going to a place he was semi-familiar with rather than stumbling upon the chaos of war in a land to which he had never been like during his first outing.

Once Mikumi introduced herself she would receive glare's from the shinobi in front of her, as a male she didn't quite get observed as much and due to her revealing outfit and her sudden transformation she quickly realized just how exposed she was and mentally screamed at herself for it. A few seconds passed and the shinobi brought himself out of his own daze to answer her, "My name is N'Jobu. Nice to meet you. I think we are still waiting for someone el..." Just as he finished saying that they would both hear another male voice yell out,  "Hey N'Jobu! Has Konoha always had a 'She-Hulk" Mikumi thought "She-Hulk? I don't even know what that means!" N'Jobu sighed before apologizing to her for the other male's behavior, it seemed that they knew each other well, meaning she was the odd one out in the group for the time being. Upon getting close the boy seemed friendly enough as he spoke, "Aha, I'm sorry I'm just kidding around. The name is Satoru, how are you?" Mikumi sighed while relaxing her body, "Its alright. Nice to meet you Satoru, my name is Mikumi."

Now that introduction's were over N'Jobu spoke up, "Come on...It seems like we have all been assigned to Konoha's scout unit on the front lines. I've already been out there before so it's pretty familiar to me." and with that N'Jobu,  set off on a sprint. Mikumi herself had already been to the front lines and she knew the trip alone would take three days for them to arrive meaning they had plenty of time together, Mikumi decided to get to know her new squad mate's as in battle it would be essential to the point of life or death. Nearly an hour would pass and they were just running past the entrance to the Dense Forest, seeing no better time to ask Mikumi started off with simple question's, "So like I said earlier my name is Mikumi, Mikumi Senju to be exact. I'm a special jounin that specializes in Taijutsu and an assortment of weapon's as well as my clan's wood style, how about you two?"

Upon receiving their answers she would let the air around them fall back to silence, as they sprinted through the land of fire they would pass by a rice field with an assortment of workers large and small skinny and chunky tending to the rice, one of the smaller workers waved her way and Mikumi smiled while waving back at them before she and her squad continued.  As they got further into Hi no Kuni's deep forest, after an hour of that she would pose another question while giving a statement, "So what position do you guy's fancy the most? If I had to say so about myself I'm quite the offensive ninja, however, I do have some supplementary and Defensive jutsu of my own."

Five hours would pass and they were still in the forest, however suddenly Mikumi's stomach would growl causing her to stop and her face flush a rosy red as she felt embarrassed but spoke, "Ummm, sorry. I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast before we all got called into the assignment, it's getting dark soon so how about we set up camp for the night and continue towards the camp at dawn? After all, it's not safe to travel at night."

If the squad agreed then Mikumi would make the tiniest squeal of joy, to help make her teammate's feel safe she would use a defensive jutsu of her's that created a large circular wooden dome around on both sides that were close but stop short creating a hole in the top that they could easily jump out of an escape from, the dome provided regular protection from the animals as well as bug's and any chance of harsh wind and rain, and if it so happened bandits or the enemy were to travel to the forest they would actually have to jump inside to capture them in which by that time Mikumi and her squad mates would be fully ready for action. Mikumi would then turn to her teammate's and say, "One of you should start a fire, I'll go hunt for food~" If they had any disagreement's Mikumi would listen otherwise she would do as she said and go hunting for a wild animal.

Noticing that the joke flew over both their heads, Satoru was slightly embarrassed as he realised he was the only person between them all that had really been into comics, it seems like he indirectly exposed his geeky side. Getting closer to them he couldnt jelp but notice how attractive the female amongst them were, he would slightly blush when she greeted him. After apologizing for his joke the girl had let go a sigh and replied, "Its alright. Nice to meet you Satoru, my name is Mikumi." Already being acquainted with N'Jobu, Satoru simply gave him a friendly nod and smiled at him.

"Come on...It seems like we have all been assigned to Konoha's scout unit on the front lines. I've already been out there before so it's pretty familiar to me.", N'Jobu spoke while sprinting off past the gates of Konoha. He put away the friendly smile and with a serious look on his face, nodded at Mikumi as to tell her to move closely to them. After roughly an hour of their forward movement to Sunagakure, they had just gotten into the dense forest and had been jumping through trees as their preferred way of fast traveling. Mikumi broke the utter silence between them and presented a question to both the genin, "So like I said earlier my name is Mikumi, Mikumi Senju to be exact. I'm a special jounin that specializes in Taijutsu and an assortment of weapon's as well as my clan's wood style, how about you two?" Satoru hesitated, he never gave it serious thought until now but he doesn't really specialise in anything. The only distinctive thing about him was his kekkei genkai, the Technique Formula."Well i hail from the Namikaze, our clan doesn't produce the most powerful ninja, but we do have a high intelligence that gave us our kekkei genkai, the technique formula. With this formula i can use my fuuinjutsu to unseal things without requiring the original seal. I haven't mastered it as yet, in still developing fuuinjutsu to use with my formula but basically, i can potentially surpress and/or redirect dangerous jutsu and weapons. Once i learn more about it of course."he finished his speech with a friendly grin.

Once N'Jobu gave his answer, the silence came back as they old grew quiet. It didn't seem like they were very talkative but maybe the urgency of the mission had them all a bit distracted to be as social as they usual were. They reach a rice field where many laborers were making a day's salary to feed their families. "Mikumi must pass this way alot" Satoru thought to himself as he noticed that she had returned a wave in a friendly many to one is the workers in the forks. Then again he could be wrong, she might've just returned the wave to be polite to the villagers. As they got further into Hi no Kuni's deep forest, after another hour of traveling,  Mikumi would pose another question while giving a statement, "So what position do you guy's fancy the most? If I had to say so about myself I'm quite the offensive ninja, however, I do have some supplementary and Defensive jutsu of my own." Another question that he wasn't really prepared to answer but he did anyway, "Well to be completely honest, as much as I've trained as a ninja, i haven't really had much combat experience to be able to specify what exactly im good at" he spoke while still traveling amongst the trees with his squad.

They started to get a little more acquainted with each other as the settings of the day got a little darker and they were just holding random conversations here and there. Out of nowhere Satoru heard a noise of some sort, sounded like a growl. Mikumi stopped and her face flushed a rosy red color as she felt embarrassed but spoke, "Ummm, sorry. I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast before we all got called into the assignment, it's getting dark soon so how about we set up camp for the night and continue towards the camp at dawn? After all, it's not safe to travel at night." Seeing no problem with camping out here for the night he briefly exchanged a nod with N'Jobu and said"Sure thing". "One of you should start a fire, I'll go hunt for food~". Satoru offered no objection and just sat down leaning against the wall of the dome, he closes his eyes and said "Seeya in a few Mikumi"

The path towards Konoha was a long and winding one filled with many areas which would slow the trip a bit. The three shinobi pushed onward for about an hour or so in silence until the tree like beauty spoke up from her quiet sprint. "So like I said earlier my name is Mikumi, Mikumi Senju to be exact. I'm a special jounin that specializes in Taijutsu and an assortment of weapon's as well as my clan's wood style, how about you two?” she said as they continued to run, about to enter into the dense forest of Hi no Kuni. N’Jobu analyzed the words of the tree woman, intrigued by her introduction of herself. “Taijutsu huh, interesting…” he mused to himself as he pondered what he would say to avoid giving away too much information. He generally regarded that type of information as being a liability in combat as the more other ninja knew about him, the more likely they could come up with counters or potentially leak said information to the enemy. As he contemplated what he would say, Satoru would begin to speak up and buy him some extra time to think.

"Well i hail from the Namikaze, our clan doesn't produce the most powerful ninja, but we do have a high intelligence that gave us our kekkei genkai, the technique formula. With this formula i can use my fuuinjutsu to unseal things without requiring the original seal. I haven't mastered it as yet, in still developing fuuinjutsu to use with my formula but basically, i can potentially surpress and/or redirect dangerous jutsu and weapons. Once i learn more about it of course,” Satoru rambled on as he smiled gleefully. N’Jobu took in his words, trying to figure out what capabilities this Namikaze technique formula could really do. “Not needing the original seal to unseal something seems like it could be useful,” he thought to himself as he thought up some interesting methods of retrieving or redirecting his arrows with a seal like the one he described. After finalizing his thoughts as to what he would say, he spoke out in his turn “I’m from the Aburame clan and I specialize in ranged combat,” he said bluntly without elaborating much further. If they were paying any attention to him, the would clearly deduce that he was an archer based on the bow strapped to his back so he figured it went without saying.  Being an Aburame, most people generally knew what it meant and their abilities as the Aburame were one of the most well known and renowned clans in the Hidden Leaf so he felt as though he didn’t really need to explain just what they were capable of and their special relationship with their insects. Silence fell upon the trio once more as they continued on their journey deep through the forest.

About another hour of time would pass before the silence was broken once again by Mikumi, "So what position do you guy's fancy the most? If I had to say so about myself I'm quite the offensive ninja, however, I do have some supplementary and Defensive jutsu of my own”. Her response seemed reasonable given her focus on taijutsu and weaponry which were likely suited to more offensive purposes than defensive purposes but one could never know these days in the shinobi world. He hadn’t really thought about what he liked doing most but he knew what was particularly good at so would give a bit of a tidbit to appease her curiosity. Before he could get the words out however, Satoru spoke up in kind, "Well to be completely honest, as much as I've trained as a ninja, i haven't really had much combat experience to be able to specify what exactly im good at". N’Jobu looked at him wondering why they had been paired together yet again based on his line of answers so far but he was willing to give him a chance as he did actually manage to kill someone in their last outing together. After waiting a few seconds for Satoru to finish speaking, he spoke up and gave a brief overview of his skillset that would give his comrades enough information to work with. “I’m generally a reconnaissance and scout type shinobi. I generally like to get in and get out without being noticed and like to deal with any threats from range,” he said confidently. After he spoke silence would befall the group again, this time lasting for quite some stretch in their trek through the forest.

A strange noise would emanate from Mikumi causing her to blush slightly after about five hours of marching through the forest. She would speak up with a bit of embarrassment in her voice, "Ummm, sorry. I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast before we all got called into the assignment, it's getting dark soon so how about we set up camp for the night and continue towards the camp at dawn? After all, it's not safe to travel at night." Having made this trip before, he agreed with her assessment and nodded with Satoru as they slowed down and found a spot to set up camp for the night where Mikumi would make a wooden dome for protection. She suggested that either Satoru or himself start a fire while she went to hunt. Satoru nodded and sat down inside the dome, closing his eyes and bidding a farewell to Mikumi. “Mikumi, I quite like to hunt so I would prefer to do the hunting if you don’t mind,” he spoke up. “It looks like Satoru wants to take the first shift of sleeping so if you could start the fire using some timber or your wood jutsu, that would be ideal”. Mikumi seemed to be fine with his plan and allowed him to set off into the nearby area to hunt for dinner.

He would move slowly through the brush, trying to make as little noise as he possibly could to avoid scaring off any potential prey that would be lurking around. He commanded a tiny few of his insects to scout out the nearby area and see if they could locate anything nearby worthy of dinner. In addition to this, he spotted a large beetle resting upon a rotting piece of timber nearby and decided to see what information he could gather from it. Given his mutualistic relationship with insects, he was able to “converse” with other insects besides his parasitic ones which proved to be a useful skill out in the field. The beetle indicated that there were deer and hare in a nearby clearing about 45 yards away. Using this information, he climbed into a nearby tree and moved forward towards the clearing to remain upwind to the clearing and gain a bit of a vantage point for a shot. After reaching the clearing, he noticed a few small game as the beetle had mention such as rabbit and deer but also some pheasant as well. “Hmmm…what should we eat tonight,” he thought to himself as he contemplated a target. “A hare should be enough for tonight,” he contemplated as he drew an arrow from its quiver and nocked it. "Don't want to have to haul back a deer," he snickered to himself as thought about shot he would need to take.

He drew back his bow and aimed at the relatively large hare grazing below. He let loose his arrow and watched it streak through the air and pierce his prey square on target. The beast let loose a bit of a pained squeal as the life drained from its body quite quickly. It was only able to move a few feet before death would overcome its body. He jumped down from his perch and scurried over to his kill to gather it up before any other would be predators could scoop it up and steal it. He grabbed the hare and removed the arrow from its carcass and cleaned it off using the beasts fur. He quickly skinned and gutted the hare using a field technique which involved squeezing the insides out of the animal through a small incision in the bottom then reaching through and peeling off the skin of the hare. With a small twist and pull the head would come straight off and the hare would be nearly ready to go but he would finish that piece before cooking at the temporary camp they had set up. He placed he carcass over his shoulder and moved swiftly back to the other two. He would arrive back to the camp in short order announcing, “Dinner is served” as he held up the hare carcass.

Just as Mikumi was about to leave her wooden created dome N'Jobu spoke out to her, “Mikumi, I quite like to hunt so I would prefer to do the hunting if you don’t mind, It looks like Satoru wants to take the first shift of sleeping so if you could start the fire using some timber or your wood jutsu, that would be ideal” Mikumi would hum slightly as she also liked hunting, but this would also be the perfect chance for her to watch her teammates from afar and witness their quick thinking on a much smaller scale than actual combat. "Alright, N'Jobu ill make the fire, good luck hunting~!"

Right after N'Jobu left Satoru layed up against the wall of the dome, meanwhile Mikumi who had taken on the task of starting a fire quickly got to work as she wanted to make sure she had ample time to watch N'Jobu do his thing, Mikumi didn't want to go out searching for wood so instead decided to use her own body by expanding her chakra to make fifty medium-sized sticks that were slightly resistant to fire for a longer burn, she then took out two kunai's from her back pocket and started to run one along the sharp edge of another creating spark aimed towards the mass of sticks in front of her until some of it got onto the wood and created ambers of a fire, she then bended down and started blowing slowly causing the fire to spread to the entirety of the sticks creating a nice fire that would keep her and her teammates warm with the only escape for the heat being above but mostly kept inside by the wooden dome.

Now that the fire was all taken care of Mikumi slightly turned her head to see Satoru already lost in sleep, she then lightly chuckled as if she was a child whose parents had just fallen asleep allowing them to sneak around without them being discovered as she bent her knees and leaped out of her wooden dome into the night to catch up with N'Jobu. It didn't take her long to find the young male in the forest as she felt like ever since the experiment she could use the natural nature around her as a second pair of eyes allowing for quicker searches in a limited area, upon finding him she would stay just far enough for him not to notice her and let him freely go about the food situation. As she watched from afar she would witness N'Jobu commanding a tiny few of his insects, she had heard that the Aburame clans bugs were particularly useful at scouting areas so she would step back into a tree and merge with it as to disguise her own chakra signature from being detected by N'Jobus tiny bug squad, suddenly as N' Jobu was looking he seemed to have spotted a large beetle and started to communicate with it, considering it was a type of bug she figured that it was within the realm of his clans ability to either command it or talk to it.

After he had conversed with the insect Mikumi could only again assume that was given useful information as he started to climb a nearby tree and seemed to be focusing in some amount of thought as he looked onwards in a
certain direction before he draws his bow, not long after he had managed to catch and kill a hare which was Mikumi supposed was to be the squad's dinner for tonight, however, this would be a slight problem. Although under more normal circumstances this would be a doable meal it was because the next day may hold an all-out battle on the front lines which made it not doable as one hare was enough to feed two males and a female enough to satisfy their stomachs for a full day, as N'Jobu headed back to camp she remained looking onwards towards the deer he had decided wasn't good enough for a meal, the idea kinda made her feel bad as she didn't want N'Jobu to think she didn't trust him so she rehearsed the lie that  if he asked she would say she just so happened to stumble upon it while scouting the area.

Taking out a single Kunai, Mikumi located the deer within the dark before leaping up into a tree and then leaping into the air all the while in almost near silence while she descended from above over the deer, she eventually landed on its back causing the deer utter surprise as it realized it was now being hunted, far too late to save itself Mikumi grabbed hold of its neck with one hand as the one holding the kunai slit it throat in a clean horizontal line causing the blood to drain all the more quickly as it struggled against its inevitable fate, within a minute it stopped struggling and Mikumi let go before grabbing its head and slinging it over her shoulder with both hands and started making her way back to the makeshift camp.

Upon making it right outside the dome Mikumi would take a low breath in before leaping in with a smile, "I'm back from scouting and look what I happened to find! enough meat to last us more than a night i think!" Since Mikumi had made the camp and set the fire and N'Jobu had went hunting she would suggest that Satoru do the cooking so he would have at least his own part to play in all this, while he did so or if N'Jobu decided he wanted that part as well Mikumi would be sitting back at the edge of the dome reviewing the information they had given her earlier in the day. Satoru was from the Namikaze clan which was the same clan as the fourth Hokage and although he stated they no longer produce the most powerful ninja, he stated the high intelligence that gave them their unique kekkei genkai which was a specially made technique formula that allowed them to unseal things without requiring the original seal. He hadn't mastered it yet so it wouldn't be so reliable in battle, and he didn't seem to know what he was best at in battle either so Mikumi would just have to command him when the time was right on the fly while judging his actions at that time. N'Jobu was equally if not a bigger mystery then Satoru as all he stated was at first that he was from the Aburame clan and that he was a ranged combatant as she saw earlier, and when asked what his position was he stated that he liked to scout and pick off enemy from afar, again it wasn't much but Mikumi would just have to make due later on.

Now that the food was ready they would eat while sharing a few conversations as it got late, Mikumi would pack in first wanting to get plenty of rest for whatever the day held for them tomorrow, by the time the morning came Mikumi would have already packed the remaining food from their meals and give out equal amounts to Satoru and N'Jobu before stating they should get moving towards the army camp

The fire was burning after he returned from his hunt but Mikumi was no where to be found at the moment. N'Jobu looked around a bit puzzled, wondering where she had run off to. After a few quick glances around the camp site, Mikumi popped out from the woods and shouted "I'm back from scouting and look what I happened to find! enough meat to last us more than a night i think!" N'Jobu looked at the deer she had slaughtered and brought back. "Well, I thought I was hunting..." muttered to himself under his breath. Slightly annoyed by what seemed to be a lack of trust by Mikumi, he glared a bit before looking over to Satoru to see if he was going to cook the deer and the hare that they had caught for the nights dinner. There would be no real way for them to eat all the meat they had caught, so it would mean they would have to haul extra weight on the trip which would be a bit of a slow down. Mikumi would retreat to the corner of the dome, seeming to contemplate something to herself. Satoru would eventually cook the meats for them all to eat their dinner.

Soon after the meat had finished cooking, the three would share a bit a conversation about what they thought the next days would bring about. After they finished up their meals, Mikumi would pack up the remaining meat and distribute it out between the three of them for the next day's travel. After receiving his portion, he retreated off to his own little section of the dome. He would summon his insects to form a cocoon around himself which he hung from the ceiling of the dome, leaving an opening for his face so he could see out off. The cocoon would serve as a bit of extra protection in the event that something should go down he could immediately use his insects. After a few minutes he would drift off to sleep, his mind racing a bit about the potential mess he would be getting himself into when they arrived on the front lines.

The next morning, he would wake from his slumber before the rest of the other two as sleeping out in the field was considerably less comfortable than being home. He dispersed his insect and dropped down onto the floor. He walked over to each of his compatriots and gave them a quick nudge to wake them from them slumber. "Time to go..." he would mutter to the two of them. He grabbed his bow from its resting place, and walked outside the dome, waiting for his two teammates to wake themselves and get ready to go. After they readied themselves, they set off towards the front lines sprinting along. The second day of travel went by considerably quicker than the first day. It felt like that they only been going for a couple of hours before nightfall came upon them once more. They set up a small temporary camp once more, this time switching roles and N'Jobu would stay behind and make the fire and cook the small game Satoru and Mikumi would bring back as they had eaten throughout the day from the left overs.

After Mikumi and Satoru returned from their scouting, N'Jobu would cook the foul they had returned with. It was a nice change from the red meat of the deer and hare they had been devouring for the past two days. As they ate, they continued to make light small talk until they had finished their food. Just as with the previous night, he cocooned himself in and drifted off into a slumber but this time it came to him a bit easier than the previous night. He would sleep well through the night, but the sunshine would creep through in the morning to wrestle him from his slumber. Once again it appeared he would wake before the rest of the crew. He disembarked himself from the ceiling of the dome and begin the routine of waking up the other two so that they could set off for the front lines. After he nudging the others to wake them from their sleep, he waited outside the dome and prepared himself to make the last leg of the trip. They weren't too far out at this point with only three to four hours left of travel. Once the other two were ready they set off with great haste. It appeared the anxiety of the being so close fueled some adrenaline in them making them move faster than the previous day. They would make some small talk along the way, mostly between Mikumi and Satoru as N'Jobu wasn't the most talkative.

Before he knew it, they had reached the main camp for Konoha in the sandy wasteland that was Suna. It was a familiar scene for N'Jobu as the smell of sand and blood filled the air. "Looks like we made it in one piece..." N'Jobu muttered to his compatriots, "Let's go report in and see what the situation is". He would walk into the large tent to check in and get his next assignment. "Man I thought I had escaped this place, back in to the sand wasteland..."

Mikumi would awaken the next morning form a nudge by N'Jobu as he said it was time for them to go as it was sunrise, taking a few minutes to stretch and slap her cheeks to prepare for the day Mikumi was wide awake once more, now that the group was all awake they began to set out towards the front lines sprinting amongst the forest floor. The second day of travel went by considerably quicker than the first day. It felt like that they only been going for a couple of hours before nightfall came upon them once more. After two days of travel, they had finally reached the main camp for Konoha in the sandy wasteland that was Suna. It was a familiar scene for Mikumi as the smell of sand and blood filled the air. Sungakure was no longer a place she wished to return to once the war was over.

Satoru woke up after being nudged by N’Jobu and being told that it was time to leave. Their travels were very uneventful, nothing of significance took place and on the last day of traveling, no one spoke to each other as much.  It seemed like a very cutthroat environment but at this point they just wanted to get to their destination on time and get this mission over with.
Before he knew it, they had reached the main camp for Konoha in the sandy wasteland that was Suna.

Satoru left N’Jobu and Mikumi to go get a bit more rest at the encampment. He had a lot of work to do out Suna so he wanted to get all the rest that he could. He had a big thing coming his way and he needs to he ready to stand tall…
