Boiling blood, blind rage. Just because he had broken a promise. She couldn't control the Beast within. It roared in injustice. It demanded blood. And it would get what it wanted. As always. Her skin would colour a slate grey, her fingers would turn into sharpened claws. Talons would grow on her elbows and needle feathers would grow along her shoulders. But that wasn't the worst. This transformation was known to her, less so to her parents. The Beast broke out. Not satisfied with revealing power on the surface. It would take her mind for its own, consume it. Her muscles would thicken, body mass raising. Red was all it saw, and it howled in joyful victory of its escape as its appetisers already crawled away in fear. The male was no longer registered as her father, but as a threat as he held out a staff before him. Trying to tame the Beast she was, a grave mistake. The female cried in a corner, begging as she held her hands before her in denial. The sweet scent of fear, an easy prey to slay.

Laïs saw how she launched herself towards her father, claws raking and breaking the staff he held before her. His only weapon broken and useless, tossed to the side. Not enough. NOT ENOUGH. Remorseless she moved closer, her claws finding his face, her feet finding his leg. He fell, and found her knee adding to his pain. She crouched over him, shredded his arm in the progress. The wounds on his arm and face infected almost instantly, crusts of sickening green forming, then turning purple and black as tissue died off. Still not enough. She would beat him. Again. And again. And again, until nothing but a bloody pulp would remain. Taking out the strongest first. No defence left. No retaliation possible. His life taken away violently, the Beast claimed it victory. The girl could hear her own roar resonate in her ears triumphantly. Sickeningly. But she couldn't help it. Fury raged on.

And was fuelled even more.

She howled in pain when she felt her mother's mop break on her back with such force the Beast tumbled over. It placed a hand against the wall to prevent itself from falling, snarled to endure the pain. Enraged eyes instantly turned to watch the culprit. Silly woman. SILLY WOMAN. Hunt, kill, feed. The next target had presented herself on a silver platter, bitter tears and fearful rage expressed in her face. It would not suffice. The Jugo child was lost in its rage, the Beast now on a rampage. Its claws would find the mother's chest and slashed it open. Blood splattered the walls as the woman fell down in a scream. Motionless. Weak. Already slain. Victory!

Sweet, bitter victory...

The sun was just minutes away from throwing its first rays into the sleeping desert when Laïs woke up. She had been suffering the same nightmare for a couple of nights now. A dreary memory of the past. Everything had come to pass in a haze as she lost her mind to the boiling rage within. She couldn't stop herself, she couldn't help herself. Laïs knew it was not an excuse for what she had done to her parents but that didn't mean she desires such an outcome. There was no saying why the nightmares returned now, but an eerie discomfort had clung to her skin ever since. An ill omen. Something was about to happen but nothing gave away any sign of revelation.

The Jugo rose up from her bed and moved to her wardrobe to take out fresh clothes before spending some time in front of the mirror to brush her hair. Tired eyes returned her gaze, an expression of the nightmares she suffered since weeks. Nothing new under the rising sun. Deciding to spend some time in the research facility of the Ryujin to practice her control over medical chakra, she opened the door that lead into her room and stepped outside. At that instant, a pair of hands grabbed her and forcefully threw her into the hallway and in the middle of a few others. Laïs would blink, only seeing Ryujin stand around her with a bright grin before one of them would kick her in the back. Pain shot through her body, her body arching in response. Confusion rose in her mind. A ruckus of crows echoed through the halls. The sky turned dark with the presence of black winged beasts. Then instantly cleared. The nightmares, the omens. She understood everything now that the pieces of the puzzle pieced together. These men were not Ryujin.

Relying on familiar techniques, Laïs would suddenly push her body up, one foot stomping a first of her assailants away. Like the first push to get the pendulum ticking, it would give her the motion needed to start sweeping her legs around as she whirled about, legs sweeping and kicked wildly around her to give herself some room. Forced back, Laïs jumped up and allowed her necrotic chakra to stream into her limbs, only now having regained some of her wind. The men would still grin, despite that some had suffered a couple of good bruises.

"It's easier if you don't resist."
"Please. I don't do easy, it's boring."

Dashing forward, Lais took the initiative. Her fist would connect against the man's face, watching his head lull to the side by the impact before a sweeping kick would connect painfully against his flank. It was not enough to bring him down, the man merely forced a couple of steps back but her necrosis had not left him unflinching. Cheek, flank, both areas were slowly rotting away. She would not have the time to follow up, as another man from behind stepped into to wrap his arms around her in a tight grasp. Cute, but feeling her boots scrape over his shins before it stomped hard on feet was not a comfortable feeling. Certainly not if that included having the whole area being eaten away by her necrosis as a returned gift. Dancing in pain, he'd let her go, the third one trying his luck with a flurry of strikes. She could dodge two of them before the third one would connect with her cheek, distracting her enough to feel the man behind her knock her down with a good strike.

Tumbling into the ground, she'd be kicked into submission with a feet against her flank. Temporarily out, the men would talk among each other about the necrosis two of them suffered, swearing and cursing under their breath. Laïs didn't feel too well, emotions fighting among each other to see who would get the upper hand. Fear? Rage? Reason? The decision would be made by the Jugo blood aching for payback and the taste of blood. Her nails would grow into claws and needled feathers would sprout from her shoulders. Battle madness flickered in her eyes, but what was most apparent to the group of men was her skin turning a charcoal black. Eyes widened but they would be too late to stop the Jugo from starting her rampage.

With a brutal rush, the Beast would jump up and clamp the first man she would see, driving him into the ground with a roar. As he tumbled into the ground, dazed by his head knocking against the floor, her claws would rake over his face with reckless abandon. Jumping away as he howled in pain, blood and necrosis turning his once pretty face into a monstrous form of art, Laïs flipped her body to have her feet reach the ceiling. Black beady eyes would look at the man crying in the hallway, another one hesitant to deal with her as his body was already riddled with necrosis. The other three would try to follow her nonetheless, channelling chakra into their soles and running up the walls to reach her. Lais would meet them in kind, charging one in a whirl of legwork before her foot would trash the first one into the ground with a webster axe kick. Dropping down from the ceiling as the others were about to reach her, she dealt with the coward looking for an exit with a couple of swift strikes before her claws would be pushed into his chest. The additional necrosis proving too much for him, fear and pain would force his body to drop out cold.

Two left. Both of them dropped next to her at the same time, the first one eating her foot as he rose up and got kicked right in his chest. The impact forced him out of his balance and made him tumble in the ground. One remaining, for now, hesitance visible in his eyes at the realisation he was on his own to deal with the dark-skinned monster before him. But he tried. Mustering the courage to face her, he tried despite it all. He would strike, finding his fist getting blocked by her own, the necrosis now eating at his wrist, and stumble back. Aim for an exit. He'd flee. But he won't get far as others of the Ryujin, real Ryujin, would finally run into the hallway as they caught wind of the ruckus. Soon enough her attackers were outnumbered and apprehended.

"Bind them and bring them to the research facility. We have new volunteers willing to serve as test subjects."
