It was in the earlier morning when the young Aburame arrived at the administration office, it had been a while since he had been in the village but due to some of the recent developments that had occurred in the boy's life he felt that it was time that he got back to serving the village hidden in the leaves as he was meant to. As he opened the door to the building the young beetle user could not believe how little activity there seemed to be, as he approached the front desk he saw a rather angry looking man sitting behind it. "Yeah, what do you want," the man grunted as he looked to the boy. Retsu instintively began signing to the man, however he only got two words signed before the man stated in a rather loud voice "There is no performing jutsu within this building!" The young boy almost kicked himself, he had forgotten that no one really knew sign language, in fact with the exception of the Yasuda girl Retsu had not met another person that knew sign language since his parents death. Quickly commanding his Kikaichu to form the letters of a simply question, "Got Work?" To which the man behind the desk just chuckled, "what's the matter bug boy cat got your tongue?" The man jested at the young shinobi who just stood in silence as he turned to look through the files of recent requests for a Shinobi's assistance, the boy's Kikaichu which formed the words in the air began shaping to form a new word which Retsu quickly waved away before the man turned back around. He forgotten that they were still in that mode, due to the boy's connection to his Kikaichu they could communicate through their bond that all the boy had to do was think and the beetles would know. The problem was not their connection, it was the fact that they still thought he was talking to the man and were forming words for what he had just thought, which was not a very pleasant thought about the man.

"Your in luck kid, got something here that would be perfect for a shinobi of your rank." The man stated as he turned back around to the boy with a small file in his hands, "I will let you read over the file yourself, but if you ask me it smells fishy." The man finished handing the boy the file as he let out a chuckle at his own joke that Retsu did not get. Retsu took the file from the man and left the building without looking at it, in all honesty the boy did not care what the mission was he just wanted to get away from the weird man. Once the boy was outside of the office building he sat down on a nearby bench and open the file to read what it said. The job was requested by the heads of the Konohagakure Championship Fishing Committee, it seems like they suspect that their last years champion is cheating due to circumstances with the weigh in but they had no proof. 'Simple enough,' the boy thought to himself as he turned to the next page to see a picture of the man holding a rather large fish, the man's name was Matsuda and actually lived near the lake. "Looks like we are paying a home visit," the boys stated to his Kikaichu as he put all the papers back into the file folder and stood up from the bench. Storing the file inside his cloak the boy set off for the man's house, the fishing competition was tomorrow so if the boy could not figure out how the man was cheating today then he would have to catch him in the act during the competition.

As the boy began to near the man's house he sent a few of his Kikaichu up ahead of him to find out if the man was home or not, the job's instructions were clear that they Organization Committee did not want the man to know that they suspected him of cheating until they had proof. Unfortunately for the young shinobi the man was home so he could not search the man's house for evidence, at least not yet and so the boy left a few of his Kikaichu on guard at the man's home to notify him the minute the man left his house. Meanwhile the boy set up a post approximately five meters away from the man's house on the branch of a tree, this position gave the boy a good view of the front of the man's house so he would have no problem seeing the man leave. However since he could not see all around the house from here and he knew the man had a back door, he knew it would be wise to have some of his Kikaichu spread around the house should the man leave through the back. As the hours began to pass the young Aburame began to think that the man was never going to leave his house, felling his stomach growl he began to wish he had brought some food with him. However like always the boy's Kikaichu were one step ahead of him, bringing an apple from one of the tree's branches for the boy to eat. Once the boy finished off the apple he leaned back against the tree making sure not to lose his balance on the branch as he continued to wait for the man to leave his house, "at this rate I would be better off just waiting till tomorrow and catch him in the act." The boy mumbled in a soft tone to his Kikaichu as he turned his attention back to the man's house.

It was night fall when the boy awoke on the tree branch, he must have fallen asleep while he had been waiting on the man. "Damn did I miss it?" The boy ask his Kikaichu that had awoken him, "ah ok good so he just left out the back, yes I agree it is weird that he left carrying a large bag in the middle of the night. Well then follow him, I am going to check out his house while he is gone. No it will be fine, I will catch up to you once I am done just stay on him." And with that the young Aburame jumped down from his hiding post in the tree and began a calm walk towards the man's house. Going around to the back door of the house the boy found the door unlocked, as soon as the boy opened the door he could smell it. There room was small and the only thing that seemed to be inside was a deep freeze, which appeared the man had left open filling the small room with a slight chill as well as the smell of fish. The boy knew almost instantly what the man had been doing and how he had been cheating, with the new discovery the boy had made being more than enough evidence to prove to the hiring party that their suspicions of the man were true the boy left the house and headed to find the man himself. Retsu found the man at the lake thanks to his Kikaichu, the man was on a boat seemingly lowering something over the side. The boy remained hidden in the shadows of the night until the man made it back to shore and headed back to his home, once the man was gone the boy walked out across the water to where the boat had just been. Looking down into the lake below him the boy saw all the proof that he needed, and knew what he needed to do to finish this job.

The next morning the boy stood in front of the Fishing Committee that hired him, the fish the man had been using to win for the past three years laying on the table in front of them. They all had questions but the boy only had one answer, using his Kikaichu to form words on the air in front of him he made a simple statement. "You were right, He cheated." And with that said the boy left headed back to the administration office to be paid for his time.
