Chigetsu Hōzuki

Dead
Mission:

The poster would be pressed firmly against the wooden pole, and as quickly as Chigetsu could he would press the stapler he had been given against the top of the poster. It would take a surprising amount of effort for him to drive the stapler down hard enough that it actually activated. There would be a very satisfying clunking sound as he did though, and as soon as it had driven the staple through the paper poster and into the wooden pole it would spring back against Chigetsu's hand. Slowly he would remove himself. The poster would luckily remain in place, signifying a success on his part. The bundle of flyers and posters held under his arm would shift, and very quickly Chigetsu would scramble to keep them all solidly in place. Dropping them again so suddenly would be incredibly embarrassing, and waste way more time than he was comfortable with.

The streets of Kumogakure no Sato blew forth with an intense wind. It swept through the streets with a surprising force, that was even more surprising in how nonchalant it had been handled by the occupants. The masses of citizens traveling up and down the streets around Chigetsu in a flood seemed completely unbothered by what felt like gale force winds to the boy. Only the most extreme storms reached this sort of intensity in The Land of Water. Seasonal hurricanes were a rather big problem in the Land of Water, but they were responded to mechanically with great force to ensure they did the least damage possible. The winds here seemed as if they had no such response. With the higher altitude that Kumogakure no Sato operated at it must have been that these winds were just a natural part of life. It was still incredibly strange, and after watching the flyer he had stapled to the pole flap about in the wind he would quickly work to put in a few more staples.

The large stack of flyers that Chigetsu had positioned under his arm meant that his work was still yet to be completed though. Each contained a good amount of information about the participating villages and which ninja came from each. A good amount of the space on the page was devoted specifically to Yasubei, who had been chosen to represent the Village Hidden in the Clouds. The fact that he wasn't originally even from Kumogakure was left completely unstated though. Even with how much attention Yasubei got compared to the rest, there would be a solid amount of space dedicated to the rest. Ilya Uzumaki, Masu Shihana, Fuyuko Miki, Izumi Karisuma, Kisei Ushinatta, Hanza Kori, Kahou Karisuma, Nova Makoto, Ritsu Kasen, Mokuzai Senju, Miku Akito. All of them were listed beside the village they specifically belonged to. Oddly enough Iwagakure was left out completely, without a single participant on their own side. From just a glance it seemed as if Kirigakure was dominating the exams just from the number of contestants they had participating. Fuyuko, Izumi, Hanza, Kahou, and Nova were all representing Kirigakure. Oddly enough many of these participants were not even directly from Kirigakure at all. With the ruin that was apparently brought to Sunagakure, there were a good deal of refugees who seemed as if they were competing in the exams as a way to gain the favor of whatever country they had ended up in. Izumi, Nova, Kisei, and possibly Yasubei? They were all from Sunagakure. Kisei had strangely went to Konoha, and it wasn't entirely clear where Yasubei had come from at all. Perhaps he was from Sunagakure too, but it would be impossible to know.

Several more flyers were being stapled up wherever they could be placed. Telephone poles were nearly filled entirely with them, forming a strange sort of coating. It seemed like Chigetsu was one of the last people to get around to actually setting up the posters, as there was little room anywhere he could find to place any. A good deal of buildings already had flyers littered across them. They blew around freely on the streets from the wind. Honestly it seemed as if it would be impossible to not know about the chunin exams in Kumogakure. The event was such a big public spectacle that Chigetsu was beginning to think that all these flyers were just a waste of time that would make a lot of litter.

Still, if they were paying him to do this he couldn't complain at all. He would get to work on placing the rest of his flyers.
