Mokuzai was walking towards the village gate's of Kirigakure, it had been several days since his encounter with the village people being tortured and threatened by  vile lowlife bandits. He had made a promise to himself that he would make their problem disappear but before that he had a old friend to meet and he was a Kirigakure ninja named Chigetsu Hozuki, last encounter they had it was on strange terms and suddenly they became friends and challenged each other in a fight however Mokuzai at the time was untrained and lost badly as the Hozuki clan member left him there defeated.

The nature of the visit was to see a old friend as well as gain a potential ally for his self-mission, he would consider challenging him to a mini fight and unlike before he wouldn't go down as easy Mokuzai though as he laughed to himself that sounded like whispered chuckle's to anyone around.

It suddenly occurred to him just as he was about to pass through the gate's he actually had no idea where to find Chigetsu and had very little information on him in the first place, Mokuzai now lost at what to do made a scrunched up face as he was thinking on how to find the potential ally he was coming to seek and then it hit him. He knew his last name so he would go ask around town for where to find the house of the Hozuki clan, and if he wasn't there he would ask his clan directly where to find him because surely they must know where he is.

Now that his silent inner conflict was over Mokuzai took slow careful steps inside of the village of Kirigakure. Before he had arrived he would think it was just some small village surrounded by a bunch of water but he could have not been more wrong, as he kept stepping in Mokuzai was stunned by the beautiful city of Kirigakure, he could see the people and shops around the city as well as the home's people lived in. He would then look around and notice other then the opening the city was surrounded by a forty foot tall wall, he was sure there was alot more than what he could see what his eye's and there was no doubt at this moment he made the right choice by choosing to travel all the way to Kirigakure.

Mokuzai took a moment to breath in the fresh air and take in the new sight of his home he will be staying in for awhile before he got down to business, he would walk towards the area he saw before littered with people and business. As he was walking with the crowds blending in he would notice a small man sitting on a chair watching over small children, Mokuzai walked up to him and cleared his throat silently "Excuse me, do you know where i may perhaps find the Hozuki clan home?"

The small man then looked Mokuzai up and down once he heard the question and then did a chuckle "A leaf come to challenge the Hozuki clan? I didn't know youngster's were so eager to die, if you want to find there home keep going straight down this path for eleven meters then take the curving path and it should take you right where you want to go." Mokuzai had no idea what the man was talking about as he had no attention of challenging the Hozuki clan but he appreciated the straight forward answer "Thank you for your help, be well" Mokuzai following the instructions of the man started walking further away in a straight path hoping the directions were accurate.

Chigetsu's demoralized retreat through the village did not stop being shameful after he had exited the slums. His shame lingered in a painful way, stinging him as a constant reminder of his defeat. He was sure this would continue for the next several days as well. Perhaps it would be best to just lock himself in his room until the stench of defeat had washed off him. Doing that was growing more and more appealing by the second. The only thing he wanted to have to think about would be the potential water bill from a several hour long steaming hot shower. Maybe he would draw a bath to sleep in as well. It would be enough to ease his mind away from it all. "You're taking it out too hard on yourself. You deserve to be ashamed, but there's no reason to be excessive about it." Chi would grumble now. "You're the reason that any of this happened in the first place." He would whisper harshly under his breath. "It's your fault for scolding me like that at all. What do you mean 'there's no reason to be excessive about it'?" Chigetsu would mock the sound of the kunai's voice as he spouted off a quote of it. "My fault? You were the one who wanted to lead a little girl into a strip club." "Don't say it like that!" Chigetsu would whine now, louder than his usual whispering. It was hard to keep his voice down when the topic of conversation was so incredibly outrageous. He wore a scowl on his face now, along with the strong desire to give his kunai the stink eye. "Why not? That's exactly what you were planning to do." "I didn't realize-" Chigetsu sputtered to a stop.

Distracted by the accusations his kunai had been making, he hadn't seen exactly where he was going. An alternate path was being taken to his apartment, one that was longer and Chigetsu wasn't the most familiar with either. It was so he had a longer time than normal to sulk about his situation. It seemed that he should have been more familiar with where he was going through, as his wandering took him into a stretch of street that traveled under the shadow of the looming Hozuki clan complex. It was a beautiful castle that had been erected in the village just after the formation of Kirigakure, only one of the many Hozuki clan castles that dotted across the Land of Water. The stone towers that surrounded it cast deep shadows into the surrounding neighborhoods. Without noticing Chigetsu had walked right into the shade of the building. An immediate shift would occur from his earlier thoughts. His attention would be directed towards the castle alone now. It would completely capture his attention.

"Chigetsu?" His kunai would call to him, disturbing his attention. Slowly he would pull his eyes away from the towers. "You shouldn't let yourself be distracted like that. Especiall-" "Yeah..." He cut the weapon off. Chigetsu drug himself forward after that, out of the shadows and back into the illuminated streets. It was then, entirely by chance, that he had come across an old acquaintance. A familiar brown-haired child was not too far up the path from Chigetsu, seeming to be following the winding path towards where the Hozuki compound was. The Senju. Mokuzai. Quickly Chigetsu would speed up from his earlier pace to meet up with the other boy, who seemed to already have been on a beeline to Hozuki clan compound. "Hey! Mokuzai!" He would call out to the other ninja from a distance, announcing himself before approaching. "What are you doing here? Aren't you from Konoha? How did you even get to Kirigakure?" Three questions were rattled off to the boy before he could even say a single thing. Normally Chigetsu wasn't so talkative, but really he just wanted to clear his mind of the earlier embarrassment. Getting into a conversation was fine for that, and another spar with Mokuzai would probably do a good deal to clear up his head anyway.

Mokuzai quietly walked along the path that a citizen of Kirigakure gave him as he kept walking the eleven meters until he would have to slightly change his direction, he begun to think of all sorts of things such as what future does he want and how to make it a reality. Could he really become a swordsmen and would it be possible to live out a life in a village far from your own, Mokuzai sighed as if he was exhausted due to the heavy thoughts flashing in his mind. His  personal problems would unfortunately  have to wait for now, he made a promise  to himself that he attended to keep first find a suitable ally then secondly travel to the land of sorrows to deal with the bandits. But as of this moment  he had the element of surprise as the bandits had no idea that he was coming for them, for now Mokuzai would take the opportunity to prepare himself for the fight to come.

Mokuzai decided it was time for him to buy his first official weapon, the last time he meant Chigetsu was when he was training with a blade he carved out of wood within minutes attracting to Kirigakure ninja to him in the first place and angering him for even calling his creation a "sword". After the chunin exams he had spent some of his time recovering from his wounds reading all types of weapon user and technique's from Konahagakure's library but it wasn't until after he recovered that he was able to start applying the basics in real training using his kunai for imagery training, fate so happened that the place he would purchase his first blade is a village known for a history of swordsmen and women and the realization brought a chuckle onto Mokuzai's face.

He quickly broke himself out of his own thoughts when he realized he was now at the eleven meter mark away according to the Kirigakure citizen's directions and sure enough there was a path that curved unlike the other path that simply was a right turn, he then took the curving path and kept his eyes peeled for any sight of Chigetsu. Once he was a little upwards towards the path he then saw the Hozuki house although to his surprise it wasn't a house but more like a castle,Mokuzai lived in a simple house so to think someone like the person he meant live's in such a flashy home was shocking to him.

Mokuzai now feeling as if he was in the presence of Kirigakure royalty  kept walking towards the castle home but not without carefully watching his step as he now felt out of sorts but suddenly he felt the sound of footsteps tapping against the stone floor of the outside of the castle estate with his ears, he quickly turned his head towards the noise but then heard the sound of someone saying "Hey! Mokuzai!" and was greeted with the face of the person he was looking for, Chigetsu from the distance.

Chigetsu would now come closer as he kept on speaking "What are you doing here? Aren't you from Konoha? How did you even get to Kirigakure?" Mokuzai would then start to also move towards Chigetsu way as said "Hey Chigetsu! Man im i glad to see you, it's a long story lets talk about it over some food. Im starving!" Mokuzai kept walking towards him but then the memory of how badly Chigetsu beat him last time then left him to survive at the chunin exams flashed in his mind.

Mokuzai didn't make any facial expressions or sudden movements acting like his cheerful self as he got closer to Chigetsu once he was within four meters his nice expression would disappear and replaced with a angry one as he suddenly dashed towards Chigetsu almost at his top speed going for a gut punch, if the punch succeeded Chigetsu would be forced back one foot away from where he currently stood. If No matter if he blocked or not Mokuzai would then say "You bastard!! You left me without so much as calling a medial ninja to see if i was gonna be okay!!"

"Hey, Chigetsu! Man, I'm glad to see you, it's a long story. Let's talk about it over some food. I'm starving!" The cheery expression and friendly words from the boy were enough to get Chigetsu smiling too. Nobody had ever asked him to eat with them before, so the opportunity to go and eat together with someone else was something he was eager to pounce on. The sort of anxiety he would normally feel in this situation was completely absent. There was something about Mokuzai that made him feel more comfortable. It probably had something to do with how Mokuzai was from another village and a stranger in this country. The fact that Chigetsu had beaten him to unconsciousness in their first meeting probably helped too. Either way, Chigetsu would be happy and eager to respond. "Yeah! I'd love to! I'll show you a nice café that I like. It'll be my treat since you're the guest." Everything was good now. This would be great for distracting himself from his earlier shame. He would forget completely about that strip club and never think about it again.

Mokuzai's approach would be casual. There would be no outward signs of any hostility, up until the moment he started charging at Chigetsu. Mokuzai only had begun his run when he was around four or so meters a, ay, but with the speed he was moving at that distance would be crossed in a little bit over half a second. It was much faster than Chigetsu would have even expected to be possible from the Mokuzai, especially given their previous spar. There would be no chance for Chigetsu to move himself out of the way. Not when Mokuzai was so fast and so close. Rather than attempting to move at all Chigetsu would simply reflexively run a layer of Suiton chakra over his body. This was the activation of his Hydrification technique, the Kekkei Genkai of the Hozuki clan. Its activation was so completely natural and reflexive to him that it was the only thing that he could do in response to Mokuzai's attack. The Senju's fist would collide milliseconds later with Chigetsu's stomach, smashing full force into the Hozuki male. The force of the blow would be absorbed by the liquid nature of Chigetsu's body, and rather than the force lifting Chigetsu off his feet and throwing him backwards he would simply stay in place. What did not stay in place would be Mokuzai's arm. Rather than finding something solid to smash against in Chigetsu's gut, it would simply keep on going. The punch would lead to Mokuzai's fist and arm smashing all the way through Chigetsu's watery form, coming out the other side. He would have completely penetrated through the other boy's stomach without facing any more resistance than if he had punched a lake. "You bastard!! You left me without so much as calling a medical ninja to see if I was gonna be okay!!

Using Mokuzai's momentum to his advantage again, Chigetsu would lean forward with his head lowered. As the arm penetrated through Chigetsu's body, he would bring his head forward in an attempt to smash the top of his head directly into Mokuzai's nose in a headbutt. Regardless of whether the headbutt had succeeded or not, Chigetsu would slowly back away after trying it. He would take a few steps back from Mokuzai, stumbling slightly as a red fluid dripped from the corner of his mouth. On closer inspection, the hole that Mokuzai had blasted through Chigetsu's body would be completely red and bloody as well. It was as if Mokuzai had actually punched a hole right through Chigetsu's body, with an excessive amount of blood leaking out. Mokuzai's arm would be revealed to be completely covered in the blood as Chigetsu backed away from him, with more seeming to spurt onto him as the open wound in Chigetsu's stomach continued to leak. After he got a step or two back Chigetsu would mock an incredibly pained face, gasping in dramatically for air. "S-Somebody... Somebody help! This rogue ninja from the Leaf...! He killed me! Call the ANBU!" Chigetsu would shout out as loud as he could, attempting to draw the attention of anyone he could. After the words left his mouth Chigetsu would collapse, falling backwards onto the ground in a small puddle of his own juices. On the ground he would close his eyes, pretending to have been killed by Mokuzai's punch.

"Yeah! I'd love to! I'll show you a nice café that I like. It'll be my treat since you're the guest." Would be Chigetsu's response to Mokuzai's question of getting a bite to eat, Mokuzai was truly hungry but the defeat back at the chunin exams outweighed his need to avenge his pride while Chigetsu guard was down. He would act like his usual cherry self as to not draw Chigetsu's suspicion that he was about to be hit with a straight forward old fashioned gut punch, his act seemed to work as the Kirigakure returned his cheerfulness with a smile of his own and even offered to pay for the lunch a offer Mokuzai would be sure to disappear once he went through with his one good attack.

Mokuzai's plan would go smoothly as he kept on making his way towards a unknowing Chigetsu, once he was in range he would then make a dash for him and due to the short distance between them the Kirigakure ninja would have little time to react defensively. But instead of the feeling of his fist colliding with the firm flesh of Chigetsu's stomach as he was knocked back he would feel his fist simply pass through something giving off a wet feeling like water, at that point Mokuzai would think something was wrong.

He would find that instead of his fist hitting Chigetsu it actually went through him, this would be the second sign that set him off. Mokuzai knew he was stronger than he was before but he wasn't strong enough for a punch to go through a human body, he laughed as he thought about how his punch couldn't even puncture the skin let alone go straight through a trained shinobi's body like butter. It would be at that moment of hesitation and thought that Mokuzai would not notice Chigetsu leaning his head backwards while his arm was still impaled through his gut area before the Kirigakure ninja would swing his head back forward  smashing the top of his head directly into Mokuzai's nose in a headbutt.

The sudden pain going through his noise made Mokuzai back up and hold it as he made a annoyed grunting sound, the actual headbutt had little to no power but Chigetsu chose such a sensitive spot that it still caused a bit of pain but mostly annoyance. Mokuzai rubbed his nose to ease the pain and once he was done he would look back at his friend to find them taking a few steps back almost looking as if they were stumbling before noticing  a red fluid dripping from the corner of his mouth,"Yeah! I'd love to! I'll show you a nice café that I like. It'll be my treat since you're the guest." Mokuzai would then notice that his own arm was now completely covered in the same type of bloody red leaking out of Chigetsu's wound, this would be the final strike he would need to know it was some type of trick. Once he thought about it this was all some scheme, even if he had been strong enough to puncture through his whole entire body Mokuzai did not feel any organs as he punched through him but only a wet feeling, Chigetsu continued to backed away from him as more of the bloody red liquid flowed from his  wound spurting all around Mokuzai and Chigetsu making a mess all around them.

At this point Mokuzai was convinced that he had not actually damaged his friend and was about to say something about it until all of a sudden Chigetsu expression would change into a greatly pained expression as he begun gasping for air in a entirely  dramatic way before yelling out "S-Somebody... Somebody help! This rogue ninja from the Leaf...! He killed me! Call the ANBU!" Once he was done Chigetsu would fall the the ground backwards landing on his back in the pool of bloody red that came from his own body with his eyes closed.

Mokuzai would then start to panic not from knowing his friend was about to die but from his seemingly fake last words fearing that the anbu of Kirigakure would come for him and fast unless proven innocent, Mokuzai would then grab Chigetsu's left arm and maneuvered his body and his until his friend was slugged over his back. He would then use all of his speed to travel seven meters away in a second to a nearby stone pillar blocking their bodies from view, Mokuzai would then make a sour face "Chigetsu you big faker, i know your not really hurt. I dont know what you did but you used some type of strange jutsu."

Mokuzai beginning to panic was all part of Chigetsu's plan. Although to be completely honest he didn't really have any plans. Everything he just did was winging it on the spot, and he had no idea what to do next. What if ANBU really did come and kill Mokuzai? Chigetsu wouldn't know what to do, especially as it would be pretty clear pretty fast that Chigetsu wasn't actually dead. His yelling had caught the attention of a few civilian who were passing by. Perhaps he could count on his proximity to the Hozuki clan castle that everyone in the area would be used to shenanigans like this. If not he would have a lot of explaining to do. He would be shaken quickly from his thoughts by Mokuzai though. Mokuzai would just immediately grab Chigetsu's left arm, maneuvering his body until Chigetsu was positioned over his back. The weird sort of way he was being manhandled by his friend instantly made him uncomfortable. Being thrown around like a corpse wasn't exactly the most pleasant thing, even when he was pretending to be a corpse. He probably should have been happy about it, since it meant his disguise jutsu was working, but really he could only focus on how uncomfortable it was. Apparently Mokuzai decided that his plan was to just pick up the evidence and run away like an obvious criminal, given that right after he picked up Chigetsu he immediately ran away. Whatever the plan was, Chigetsu kept his facade of being completely and one hundred percent totally dead. He was sure at the very least he had fooled Mokuzai with this jutsu he had just tested out... "Chigetsu you big faker, I know your not really hurt. I don't know what you did but you used some type of strange jutsu."Chigetsu opened his eyes. The hole that had formed in his chest closed up after a moment, and all of the red, blood-looking liquid that had been created by his jutsu reverted back to it's normal translucent shade. All the effects that had been making Chigetsu appear as a corpse faded at once. It only left a very frustrated looking Chigetsu remaining, glaring down at Mokuzai from over his shoulder. Mokuzai might have been making a sour face, but Chigetsu was giving the other male the full death glare from where he was. "You knew I was faking the entire time? Why didn't you say anything? I thought my trick had worked the entire time!" He huffed and harrumphed. "And what was with punching me all of the sudden like that? Why would you do that without any warning?" His pouting was punctuated by his angry yelling down at Mokuzai. "You're only supposed to attack people in training situations! As far as I knew you were trying to kill me." From his position on Mokuzai's back Chigetsu would pull his right leg back and smash a kick down into whatever part of the other boy he could hit. "Explain yourself!"

"A sudden attack in a public area is a clear justification to defend yourself with lethal force. Nobody would blame you if you killed him in self-defense." The whispers of his kunai leaked up from out of its pouch. As they hit his ears Chigetsu would flinch. From this position he probably could do some serious damage to Mokuzai if he wanted to. Other than just kicking too. "The back of his neck is exposed. Bit down hard and tear into his spine with your teeth." "No!" He would groan in response. Chigetsu would tightly close his eyes and shake his head in an attempt to remove the suggested violence his kunai whispered to him from his head. "J-Just... What are you even doing here?"

"Chigetsu you big faker, I know your not really hurt. I don't know what you did but you used some type of strange jutsu" Would be Mokuzai's words to the Kirigakure ninja as he had his head slightly turned so he could see Chigetsu's face and he would see that his eyes would open and all the blood that Mokuzai had on him would suddenly turn into clear liquid, that means his hunch was right and it was all just some prank Chigetsu was pulling on him after he went and  went for  gut punch  right after just meeting for nearly week.

It was evident from looking at Chigetsu's face that he was  very frustrated as he glared down from over his shoulder as the Kirigakure ninja was taller looming over him as if he was giving him a deadly look,Mokuzai was about to speak up before he was cut off. "You knew I was faking the entire time? Why didn't you say anything? I thought my trick had worked the entire time!" a sweat drop rolled down Mokuzai forehead as he was getting scolded by Chigetsu "And what was with punching me all of the sudden like that? Why would you do that without any warning?" Mokuzai felt like a small child that was being lectured on a big mistake they made. "You're only supposed to attack people in training situations! As far as I knew you were trying to kill me." Mokuzai would suddenly feel Chigetsu's leg swing back before feeling the pain of something kicking at this back. "Ow that hurt you jerk, you keep asking so many questions how im i suppose to answer them. At least let me start from the beginning?!!

Mokuzai would take a breath of fresh air before explaining himself "For starters i didn't know you were faking it exactly, i had my suspicions the moment my punch went through your body so easily but i didn't have any solid evidence until the blood appeared. Even if i got stronger there would no way to be able to punch completely through your body with no resistance and not even the feel of any organ, and as for why i punched you i said it. It was a surprise  blow that wouldn't be much of a surprise if i told you i was gonna punch you, but i had no intention of actually killing you more like i wouldn't be able to without actual ANBU killing me off first as i doubt you would be a easy kill."

"J-Just... What are you even doing here?" would be Chigetsu's following question causing Mokuzai to crack a half smile while letting Chigetsu down since he wasn't actually hurt all that bad, "Have you heard of the Kiri-Konaha alliance? Apparently ninja from either country can go to the others village and join their ranks with no consequence's from your original home, as of today Mokuzai Senju will be living in Kirigakure as a Kirigakure genin." Mokuzai smile faded as his eyes became sharper and his chakra started to seethe from him in a very thin visible layer, "There's also a band of bandits terrorizing a villages on the border that take their food, women, clothing and yet still attempt to kill a young father in front of his boy. I want to destroy their group but i need a help of another capable ninja, i could think of no other then you. Will you join me?"

"Ow that hurt you jerk, you keep asking so many questions how am I suppose to answer them. At least let me start from the beginning?!!" Chigetsu would quickly pout from Mokuzai's response. Silently he decided that the explanation better be a good one. He still wasn't sure if he was going to forgive that sucker punch just yet. "For starters I didn't know you were faking it exactly, I had my suspicions the moment my punch went through your body so easily but I didn't have any solid evidence until the blood appeared. Even if I got stronger there would no way to be able to punch completely through your body with no resistance and not even the feel of any organ, and as for why I punched you I said it. It was a surprise blow that wouldn't be much of a surprise if I told you I was gonna punch you, but I had no intention of actually killing you more like I wouldn't be able to without actual ANBU killing me off first as I doubt you would be an easy kill." Chigetsu wasn't made much happier by that explanation. It meant that there were some flaws in the jutsu he created. It was probably because of the dramatic nature of how he allowed Mokuzai to just punch all the way through his body like that. It was hard not to though with how his Hydrification Technique worked. The False Death Technique he made had a bit of a weakness to hand to hand combat. That was something he'd have to take into account in the future. Maybe it was good that Mokuzai had suddenly sucker punched him. Gave me a bit of experience on how exactly these techniques he created worked in the field.

"Have you heard of the Kiri-Konaha alliance? Apparently ninja from either country can go to the others village and join their ranks with no consequence's from your original home, as of today Mokuzai Senju will be living in Kirigakure as a Kirigakure genin." Chigetsu could notice Mokuzai's appearance suddenly becoming much more determined. He could even feel Mokuzai's chakra beginning to seep out from the boy's pores. With how Mokuzai was still carrying Chigetsu it made him a little bit uncomfortable. "There's also a band of bandits terrorizing a village on the border that take their food, women, clothing and yet still attempt to kill a young father in front of his boy. I want to destroy their group but I need a help of another capable ninja, I could think of no other then you. Will you join me?"

"First, put me down." Chigetsu was still slugged over Mokuzai's back, being carried in the strange position from when Mokuzai thought he was picking up a corpse. It made taking what was probably supposed to be a very serious topic of discussion difficult. "First thing. Of course I know about the Kiri-Konoha alliance. Everybody knows about that, they teach it in the academy. I meant more of why you decided to just leave Konoha and came over to Kiri all of the sudden. Why did you decide to be a genin of Kirigakure? Is Konohagakure that bad?" Chigetsu would snicker to himself, hoping that the answer would be yes. Even with their alliance, Chigetsu was still nationalistic. Kirigakure always came first, before any other village. "With your little bandit problem, why are you so interested in destroying them? Did they do something personally to hurt you?" Asking for a good reason to get rid of a few criminals probably wasn't the most moral thing for Chigetsu to do, but he was somewhat suspicious of Mokuzai's intentions. "Did you take it as a mission or something? If so I'll help you. Especially if they're within the Land of Water... Why did you come and try to find me specifically though? If I didn't know any better I would think you were leading me directly into a trap or something as revenge for beating you up back in Kumo."

Chigetsu aired the possibility mostly because of his own paranoia. He didn't really think Mokuzai would be capable of laying a trap like that, where he would get dragged far out of Kirigakure and ambushed. Still, it was good to be careful. Considering that everything Mokuzai did just left Chigetsu with more and more questions he felt justified in being a little bit paranoid too. It was always better safe than sorry anyway, especially when dealing with a ninja from another country.

After properly explaining his sudden attack and the reason why he wanted to find Chigetsu his friend would ask him to put him down, Mokuzai would do as he asked and lower down on one knee and let him off before turning around to face him as Chigetsu kept on talking. "First thing. Of course I know about the Kiri-Konoha alliance. Everybody knows about that, they teach it in the academy. I meant more of why you decided to just leave Konoha and came over to Kiri all of the sudden. Why did you decide to be a genin of Kirigakure? Is Konohagakure that bad?" A big sweat drop would roll down Mokuzai head as he never heard of the alliance until just before he left Konaha and he would silently say to himself mentally he needs to do some research on the history and workings of both his village and others, "No, Konaha is quite prosperous as ever for the meantime. As for my personal reason i wanted to come to Kirigakure is because this village has a history of the best swordsmen being born here, in Konaha i know not of any excellent swordsmen but then i meant you and even without a proper blade you were able to hold me back with a simple kunai. If there's any shot of me becoming a great swordsmen, i believe its here in Kirigakure."

Chigetsu seemed to not be fully convinced of Mokuzai's intentions as he continued questioning him "With your little bandit problem, why are you so interested in destroying them? Did they do something personally to hurt you? Did you take it as a mission or something? If so I'll help you. Especially if they're within the Land of Water... Why did you come and try to find me specifically though? If I didn't know any better I would think you were leading me directly into a trap or something as revenge for beating you up back in Kumo."

Mokuzai would look at Chigetsu as if he didn't understand the question, he completely understood it but he didn't see the reason why he would question his motive's in taking down a bandit group but answered none the less knowing the true reasons of why he undertook the task. "No they did nothing personal to me, however... when i was young i lost my father while he attended a mission. My mother was distraught and i was left with no father to teach me how to grow and get wiser, that day i saw a kid about to lose his father right in front of him..Can you imagine how the boy felt? What he would have done if i hadn't showed up? I have no formal obligation to help them, but i believe as one who knows what i means to lose a father i should help another boy in losing his own and thats all there is too it for me. It just so happens this bandit group is hiding out in the "Swamp of Sorrow's" outside the village of Kirigakure, but please my all means ease your mind, if it would help ill gladly give you all my current weapons on me if it would calm your worry. So what do you say Chigetsu, will you join me?" Mokuzai was insisted on his help, if he could not get it he would continue to try and convince the Kiri-nin until otherwise even if it took all day.

"No, Konaha is quite prosperous as ever for the meantime. As for my personal reason I wanted to come to Kirigakure is because this village has a history of the best swordsmen being born here, in Konaha I know not of any excellent swordsmen but then I meant you and even without a proper blade you were able to hold me back with a simple kunai. If there's any shot of me becoming a great swordsman, I believe it's here in Kirigakure."

A quick snort would erupt from Chigetsu, reacting to Mokuzai's explanation. The praise that Chigetsu received from the other boy had the effect of cooling his earlier paranoid and unimpressed attitude. The slight amount of paranoia he was experienced had not completely left him though. Given how he was introduced to this subject, just after having been attacked, he felt justified in being a bit suspicious. The importance of first impressions could not be overstated, and likely Chigetsu would retain that slightly sour mood for the rest of the conversation. Now that Mokuzai was lowering himself down to the ground Chigetsu would shift off of him. He would stand up straight now that he was able to, brushing down his midsection where the arm-sized hole in his torso had been. The hole was completely and utterly gone now, as if it hadn't ever existed in the first place. All of the red fluid that had squirted out and covered his clothing and Mokuzai's arm would be gone as well, replaced with just normal water. This would be the first time the disappearing wound would have been visible to Mokuzai, the boy having scooped up Chigetsu on his back while the hole was still present.

Now that Chigetsu was in a less compromised state he would be able to give Mokuzai his full attention. "No, they did nothing personal to me, however... when I was young I lost my father while he attended a mission. My mother was distraught and I was left with no father to teach me how to grow and get wiser, that day i saw a kid about to lose his father right in front of him... Can you imagine how the boy felt? What he would have done if I hadn't showed up? I have no formal obligation to help them, but I believe as one who knows what I means to lose a father I should help another boy in losing his own and that's all there is too it for me. It just so happens this bandit group is hiding out in the 'Swamp of Sorrow's' outside the village of Kirigakure, but please my all means ease your mind, if it would help I'll gladly give you all my current weapons on me if it would calm your worry. So, what do you say Chigetsu, will you join me?"

This Chigetsu would have to consider more carefully. It was mainly the fact that this bandit group was causing trouble in Kirigakure that motivated him to want to accept. As much as he might hate to admit it, having these events happen in any other village would just provoke a bit of a shrug from him. Maybe if it were in Konoha, which was an allied village and Mokuzai's homeland he would feel guilty enough by the story to go along.

"It's a father's obligation. Just the same as the obligation of a shinobi. Orders always come first, even if lives are on the lines." The ethereal whisperings of his kunai would sneak up to penetrate into his mind again. It seemed like an attempt to provide a bit of wisdom, although it was nothing that Chigetsu didn't already know. "What to do when no orders are present though, Chigetsu? What will you do then?" His eye twitched a bit. "You... You want me to decide something like that for myself?" That bit would accidentally be said aloud, rather than the quick whisper he intended it to be. It was an annoyed answer to his kunai. With a second's pause the Hozuki boy would do his best to wrap it into his response.

"… The answer to a question like that isn't something we should decide for ourselves. If there are a group of bandits making trouble in the outskirts of Kirigakure, or even anywhere in the Land of Water, I have an obligation as a shinobi from Kirigakure to help. If I did not, it would be a failure on my part. This is my duty.

He would reach out his hand to the other male, held open. His heart was still unsteady and uncommitted, feeling lost without some voice of officiality to guide him.

After Mokuzai explained himself once more he would hear a snort come from Chigetsu's lips in response and it seemed his earlier suspicions disappeared or at least he worried less about Mokuzai being his enemy, it would be after he let him down to face him he would finally see all the blood like fluid from before that covered him and Chigetsu was now just plain liquid and the hole he had formed in his friends chest would completely disappear.

Once he made his second request for Chigetsu to join him it seemed he would be deep in thought thinking about his response, it would be seconds later that he would hear him say  "You... You want me to decide something like that for myself?" At this point Mokuzai had grown accustomed to Chigetsu's way of speaking to someone that he couldn't see in low whispers but this time it was loud and clear as if Chigetsu was confused but he wouldn't mention it to him.

This is my duty." It would seem Chigetsu would use his solo comment as the beginning to a explanation of his choice, Mokuzai felt like he just said it that way to avoid looking weird but he didn't care as it seemed his friend agreed to join him as he felt like it would be following his shinobi obligations.

Chigetsu hand would then reach out to grab Mokuzai's to shake his as it would be a sign of the formation of their team, Mokuzai would proudly and firmly shake Chigetsu's hand  smiling without a ounce of regret before separating the handshake after seven seconds. "Now Chigetsu, it's been quite a day. Let's meet back here tomorrow, were be going shopping for something "special" okay?" He would then snicker as if he heard a funny joke, "See you tomorrow man" Mokuzai would move away away 7 meters per second behind chigetsu before jumping into the air heading to a hotel where he could spend the night.

Chigetsu would uncomfortably shake the hand of his new partner. Mokuzai's grip was steady and firm, tight and powerful and everything that Chigetsu's was not. The strength imbalance left a slight residue of wetness on Mokuzai's palm from the shake, although barely enough to be noticed. Still, Chigetsu was quickly finding himself unable to resist returning the honest smile that Mokuzai was giving him. There was some purity to it that was indescribable. The best he could manage with how half-hearted he felt was given back to the other boy in return, even though it wasn't nearly enough. As Mokuzai released his hand, Chigetsu would let it fall back limply to his side. The immediate mention of what would come next shifted the Hozuki's expression though.

"Now Chigetsu, it's been quite a day. Let's meet back here tomorrow, we're going to be shopping for something "special" okay?" That was enough to provoke a raised eyebrow from Chigetsu. "Special shopping?" Chigetsu would repeat the two words. The way Mokuzai had said them implied something strange, although he absolutely had no idea what it was that was being implied. Mokuzai would just snicker at him as he questioned it, laughing as if he had just heard a joke. "See you tomorrow man!" The Senju would proceed to dash away, running at his full speeds and then jumping away in the most outrageously exaggerated manner. Chigetsu would be left with his jaw hanging from how sudden the entire encounter was. Had it even been more than five minutes since Mokuzai ran up to him and sucker punched him out of nowhere? "What about the café I offered to take you to?" Chigetsu would call out after the other to no use.

After watching Mokuzai disappear Chigetsu would be left alone. It took a moment for him to realize the likely reasoning behind the other's quick absence. Chigetsu had called for the ANBU to help him after all. Quickly realizing how bad it might seem if a Hunter-Ninja discovered him after investigating the earlier call. Very quickly after Mokuzai had jumped off Chigetsu would similarly skedaddle, running off to disappear into the closest path that led to his apartment.
