D-Rank Mission Herb Gathering for Beginners:

Jamie had a slightly reddish nose, having just recently recovered from influenza he made his way to the hospital to receive the next beginner's order for herbs. There was also a C-rank order, but they said it might be a bit too dangerous for him to do that unsupervised as Jamie felt the rankings were something he always found a bit strange.

Jamie got the new herb pouch and some donated free sandals to wear, as he wondered who gave them the nurse told him to put them on and get to work. He went to sit on a bench and carefully put on the sandals and then proceeded to check through the new list of herbs as it looked to be in a similar location.

He made his way to the forest as he felt the sandals were uncomfortable, but having cuts under his foot were equally bad as he finally reached his new location for the new mission.

Jamie looked around the forest as this time he needed some yellow grass and some ever grass which was just a really green grass that had a strangely white snowy dust that always seemed to form on top of it. The dust was the actual ever grass, but it was easier to take the entire grass than to collect just the dust itself. Jamie was carefully walking around since he entered an open field with grass everywhere.

He did not want to accidentally step on important grass as he made his way around the fields he noticed one of the other plants he needed as he glared at the thorn flower. Why did they need so much of this strangely thorny flower as he took two carefully with a cloth this time so as not to hurt his hands as he placed them inside the herb pouch. He really hoped that the next mission will not require anymore thorn flowers as he looked around. Yellow grass was everywhere, but when he got closer he noticed it was a random wild wheat field as he sighed. He kept on walking around as he heard some animals scurrying about as he finally noticed a some what yellower grass then the wheat fields as he got closer then took out the picture to compare he smiled and then read the instructions for removing the yellow grass. He sighed as he got ready by drawing his sword as it was time to make use of his tools to get the mission done correctly.

Jamie watched carefully as the yellow grass swayed, he had to cut it, since the bottom portion of the yellow grass was different. The roots would regrow the yellow grass, so by just cutting off the top portion it meant they could re-use it and was one of the reasons the yellow grass was so abundant, it was just sad that they had a habit of locating themselves near wheat fields or other yellow grasses which made it hard to tell them apart without an image and a few identifying features.

He took a deep breathe as he aim for the base, he had to cut just above the roots, at the very small stem which was big enough a target to easily cut it if he just blocked the wind. Jamie did not think this through all the way, but it did not matter with a swish and a swoosh the yellow grass was in the air as he swiped with the herb pouch capturing the resources he needed as he began to think deeply on what he had to do next which was to find the elusive ever grass herbs as he began walking to the edges of the field waiting for the color of the grass to change to what he was looking for, amidst the fields of green there would be the illusion of snow as it would seem. The Ever Grass was here in these fields, and it was up to Jamie to find and collect it.

Jamie made his way through the grass and finally noticed a grass that was some what different, as he moved closer and noticed the white tip he became a bit ecstatic and then placed his herb pouch on the ground as it was time to carefully remove the grass. Jamie took out his tanto and carefully made the soil loose by stabbing it slightly, then he reached his hands into the dirt, his fingers reaching around until he felt the roots, he felt around for a bit longer until he found the bulb. He then used his other hand and with both hands he pulled the Ever Grass out from the roots and then placed it in the
carefully inside the herb bag.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and felt this went much smoother then the previous herb gathering he performed. Jamie returned to the hospital and delivered the herbs to the nurse in order to get his reward as the nurse patted him on the head and ruffled his hair saying, "Good boy" as the mission was now complete.
