Mission:
Mission name: Recovery from the Sky City. (Repeatable)
Mission rank: A
Objective: “Find anything of use to Kiri”
Location: Kiri’s Ocean
Reward: 500
Mission description: “It’s been known to me by strange stones which have fallen on some small islands on the boarder of Kiri, that the remains of the Village hidden in the sky is nearby in our waters. Take these co-ordinates and travel to the location of the sunken city by any means necessary. Its infrastructure made for high altitude will no doubt cause it to pocket air still. Find anything of use, and return it. Though be warned, the place is treacherous, there’s no telling what monsters are down there.”
Mission details: The ninja, through whatever means they are able, jutsu, underwater machine, or swimming make their way to the depths of an oceanic ridge, where the fallen city of the sky lies. Within it is lost knowledge, Fuuton jutsu scrolls, wealth, weapons, technology, designs, Bring back what you are able to. But be warned, there’s something down there.
The monster lurking there will need to be beaten for you to escape. It’s a black skinned beast which seems to be able to change its shape. It is able to form its body into tendrils or limbs which hit with B rank strength or can be moulded into B rank blades, capable of breaking or cutting through skin, flesh and bone. It is considered to have B rank Taijutsu but has A rank Speed and Strength, measuring anywhere up to 15 feet high in whatever form it takes, ‘killing’ it causes it to hibernate and regenerate.
Teru Uchiha was standing alone at the outskirts of the village. To her surprise, she was nervous about this newly assigned mission. It was one that was more daring than the other missions she had ever faced. She felt a chill run up her spine and into her shoulders. Teru blinked and brought a hand to her collarbone. Her fingers tapped gently against her skin as she considered how this mission would turn out. It was frightening, in a way. But, she was being trained by a considerably talented ninja of Kirigakure. That training would reflect in her abilities and performance, undoubtedly. Well, she was going to prove that she was worth something. Yes! She was a developing kunoichi. There was much she needed to do to honor her vows and dreams. This mission would propel her straight to success. There was going to be a witness to that success, too. The man that she had met on another mission. Teru remembered his name surprisingly well. Burittsu was what it was, no surname given. He had proved to her that last time that he was a truly capable individual. So, it was more of a blessing to have him as a companion again. Well, whenever he would show his face, she would be ready to get going on this decisive mission.

Now that she thought about when Burittsu would arrive, she sighed and pouted for a moment. This was something that happened the last time, too. About an hour had gone by since Teru first got to the meeting destination where the land met the water. She received the mission, and she was instructed to meet with her partner, Burittsu. However, there was no sign of him for the longest time. Ah, yes, it was exactly like that one day. Teru pinched the bridge of her nose and let out a sigh of frustration. This was the second time she would have to deal with a tardy. What was his excuse going to be this time? Was he going to be lost on the path of life? Perhaps a cursed cat was crossing his path, and he had to take the long way around to get to where she was. It was also possible that he woke up a tad too late and was rushing to get himself ready. Or was it? Teru was unsure about the reasons, but she was more than certain that he was beyond late.

It was becoming a comical mess, she thought. To add to the comedy of the moment that was to come, she would berate Burittsu about his tardiness and give him a piece of her mind. Although, that would likely go on to becoming a rude gesture to one of her superiors. Apparent superiors. So, Teru found a boulder protruding from the earth and sat on it. There, she would await the arrival of Burittsu before going on to fulfill the conditions of the mission granted to them. At least there was still plenty of daylight. Depending on how long it took them to get underwater to where the target was, there would probably still be a fair amount left.

Teru thought no more of Burittsu for a moment. Her thoughts fled back to the mission. A sunken city and possible sightings of a sea monster. Considering the difficulty of the mission, it surely had to be safe to say that it was going to be a strong foe. That was if they did in fact run into it. The chances were high, though. So, a plan would have to be formed before rushing into the waters. Teru closed her eyes and thought to herself about what could be done. Between her and Burittsu, it would probably be best to have the latter hold off the monster while she carried on to collect the target. Then again.... she could snag the opportunity to go in for the win and attempt to take it down herself. Teru smiled at the thought. She pictured herself forcing the sea creature onto land and standing on its head with a proud look on her face. It would make a great trophy to brag about her efforts. Ah, but Teru shook her head and reminded herself that she was going to need to be working as a cooperator. The leading figure, who was not her, would be determining who did what. Another time, when she was the one in the lead, however, would be the time she made the ultimate move for a successful mission.

Another day seemed to come and quickly set the mood on Burittsu he was told that he had another meeting two days earlier so he wouldn’t appear late but even that was a problem. It had seem the mission he was assigned to was once more with the young Uchiha female with a name that started with a T well whenever the name would return back to him he would surely be glad to remember. Scratching behind his head it seem he was on the path once more that led him down to the meeting spot looking at his surroundings he was off the ground sitting on a branch. The sleep must have gotten to him once more it seemed he couldn’t even keep himself up even when they mentioned the threat that this mission could pose and the risk of not coming back in one piece.

Well he did love a challenge and wanted to enjoy life instead of remaining alive in such a constricted place with rules that choke the shinobi he even doubted the shinobi in the village actually got along with each other. Thinking about it have they ever had a get together or is everyone so deep in their personal troubles they turned their back on their comrades. The village needed a wake up call and eventually it was going to get it and everyone was going to be awoken soon but as for now the future was far but the present was close enough to grab and take hold.

Jumping off the branch he recalled the information about the transportation that could be used to take the two down to their journey below the surface of the water a place. Where darkness itself loomed and the creatures of the darkness stalked all who were not ready for the truth that lies inside of it. Walking down on the path towards the meetup spot cracking his neck and shoulders if there was going to be fight down below the surface he would be sure to use be happy to give it an actual battle. He only hoped that the Uchiha was ready for the possibility of losing her life which most likely could happen to either one of them but he loved the risk. Life itself was already a mystery but now the days were completely different from before people went missing at any time in front of comrades or right after they just seen them. No one cared who died anymore.

“Shinobi world huh? Needs a fix..”

His pace picked up going down the path until seeing the sea from his current view he was close enough to know that when she finally see’s him that another fit could be thrown his direction well he did deserve it. Coming hours late but something about him was filled with determination this was a usual day for him to risk his life he only hoped she wouldn’t mind when things got crazy to give it her all. Finally reaching the shoreline he gazed around only to see the Uchiha sitting on a boulder waiting for him like always but his goal was to make sure that she returned back safe to him that was the real completion of the mission. Placing his right hand into the sky as he gave off what he called his infamous fake grin acting like everything was alright for him to be coming late to the mission.

“Well c’mon we ain’t got all day transportation is waiting to be summoned to take us down there surprised you didn’t decide to activate it and wait inside. You look bored.”

Walking down to the water as the tide came in touching his feet giving that cool relief he took it all in the water was cold just how he liked it when he was too hot. Clapping his hands together and placing them on the surface of the water he remained motionless as a statue for about a couple seconds. Waiting for something to happen not even a single blink of an eye as he focused on what was below them deep into the depths it began to glow a light blue color quickly rising up to the surface. The bright light shining through the darkness of the water showing bright blue spots of light from underneath the surface of the water the light grew brighter and brighter each passing second. Showing how the transportation from underneath was still rising and closing its mark on the surface.

“Now if you see stains of blood and the smell of death from the inside don’t be shocked I heard a lot of shinobi go down below only to come back dead from loss of blood inside. It’s a shame but most of the smart or simply strong make it back by strong I mean those with monster like abilities. Heh maybe we can put your eye to use and turn you into a monster or genius like those before us.”

Only mere seconds after Burittsu was finished talking and warning his partner of the expected results of what maybe inside it blew up crashing through the surface of the water. As it appeared to be nothing but a orb on the bottom of it was sea life attached to it for their lives it was a large orb that shined a bright golden color. A latch was seen on the side that was the entrance to allow them to get in and out of the pod when it was time to depart he only hoped that the exit wouldn’t get stuck. It be a shame to die from lack of oxygen as shinobi indeed could be the funniest but most dishonored way to die not even on the line of duty but in an orb underneath the water. Well it didn’t matter now he began walking towards the transportation sliding his hands on the wheel turning it clockwise opening the door as he took a step in. His first surprise was being introduced to their travel mate. A skeleton by the looks of it dead for over a year the smell of death did stench up the place but it didn’t matter to him the beast who caused this would soon fall well he could only hope. Looking back out the hatch door he waved over to the Uchiha to get off her pedestal that was that rock and come over so they could get going.

“Let’s see here. We’ll try not to end up like you whoever you were.. We’ll be more careful than you no promises..”

While sitting where she was, the time that passed seemed to go by so slowly. It had been a while since they were supposed to meet for the mission. And now, she was more interested in taking a nap before heading out on her own. Teru Uchiha was in possession in a key to the transportation to the underwater haven. It was a backup if the other one was lost, but it was in Burittsu's hands. But then, there was a sound from behind her. It drew Teru's attention away, and she twisted her body and head to see what it came from.

It was not so much of a surprise, but it was pleasant to see him approaching. Burittsu with his hand above his head and a questionable smile on his face. Teru huffed and stood up from where she sat. Her arms were folded across her chest as she faced the man with an unconvinced expression on her face. They did not have all day, he claimed. The mode of transport granted to them was waiting, he told her. He even stated that he was surprised to find out that she had not activated the device. Well, one thing that he was right about was that she appeared bored. It was certainly true. Teru was expecting to have much to do during the day. "To be honest with you, I was considering it," Teru started, walking along with Burittsu to the water. There was a quick smirk that appeared on her face. But, it was gone in a flash. "The temptation would have been too strong for me, though. I'd end up leaving you behind without second thoughts."

The chilly water had not yet tickled at Teru's feet, for she was still standing on the land while Burittsu seemed to be less reluctant for a dip. It dumbfounded her a little. Their mode of transportation had not yet arrived, and he was standing still in the water. Then she noticed it... Light. There was light in the water. It was on its way to them now and would only take a little more time to emerge. Burittsu had given her a warning, but it was not one that worried her greatly. Well, perhaps she was a little concerned. Blood and death would be all that occupied the vessel. Not a single soul would return to the surface, not to return to the living. A fate such as that would be a shame, so Teru made a vow to herself that she would avoid the harsh and cruel result. "Monstrous abilities, huh?" Teru wondered out loud. To have power like that was quite interesting. She did enjoy being able to hold her own against any given obstacle. And, to use that power against her enemies would be quite the pleasure. Of course, the brawn alone would mean next to nothing to her. Keen intellect would provide a combination that would be completely riveting. He mentioned her eyes. Not directly did he mean her abilities with the Uchiha clan's Doujutsu, but the implication was there. Turn her into one of those monsters from the past? A genius who could kill just by looking at someone in a particular way? The thought of it made Teru giggle. "Well, as long as I don't end up with the grotesque appearance of a monster, I am quite fine with that idea." Half joking, Teru lifted her left arm and flexed as if the muscles there were impressive. Still, they were lean and hardly showed through the thin sleeve of her jacket.

It was not much longer. Their vessel had finally emerged and exposed itself on the surface of the water. Teru felt a prickly chill in her legs, as the water had splashed out in a small wave that had her caught up in it. She watched as Burittsu opened the entrance to the vessel, which had a resemblance to an orb or submarine. But, when he did so, there was a certain odor that had her wrinkling her nose. The stench was unbearable for the most part and made her want to run back a good distance. Although, it was nothing that she was not unfamiliar with. She was waved over, so she did approach the vessel and peered inside. "Well, isn't that a shame," Teru muttered upon seeing the bones of a person's corpse. The flesh had rotted off at some point, so there was no identifying who it belonged to. However, in spite of the pile of bones being there, Teru got inside to get on with the mission. She did, however, pick up the bones and toss them out onto land while the vessel was still at the surface. Whatever bone was dropped, she picked it up again and made sure that no more of them remained inside. "Alright, we had better get going and see this mission through. We better make sure to not end up like that fellow back there..."

Teru found her place on one side of the enclosed space and waited for Burittsu to close the latch. As soon as he would, they would be descending down, beneath the surface of the ocean. Deeper into the darkness they would go, and the only light there would be would have come from the vessel itself. The home of the marine life was about to be interrupted by the land dwellers, so they would surely swim away in fear. And soon, Teru and Burittsu would discover the glorious treasures that were at the very bottom. Of course, the devilish monster would lie in wait for them.

While she waited for them to reach their destination, Teru dropped the bag that was on her back. She rummaged through the contents with one hand and searched for something that was given as a support for the mission. "Ah, there they are," a sparkle appeared in Teru's eye as she found what she was looking for. She pulled one out and tossed it over to Burittsu, and the other was claimed for herself. The mask-like devices were rebreathers that were to be used outside the vessel for collecting the treasures. Both had two cartridges and plenty of extras that could be used for recycling. They would surely be of some help. As soon as Teru had hers, she discarded her scarf and jacket, placing both on top of the bag. If she was going to go out into the water, then she was going to have to be a little more flexible with her movements. The same went for her footwear, and those were left beside the bag. So now, Teru wore only her bikini and shorts. It would have been a great idea if the village provided them with full scuba gear, but the rebreather would have to do.

Looking to Burittsu, Teru tilted her head to the side. "...You are going out there, too, yeah?" she asked, implying that minimal clothing would be the more preferred way to go.

Giving a sigh as the orb did smell like death but there was nothing he could do about it now since they were so deep underneath the water in the depth it was a dark but in the darkness greater evil lurked. Everyone knew that no matter how old or young it was natural to fear the dark the dark contained creatures that made no sense and contained no soul to have a bargain with looking over his shoulder as he watched his partner dig into her bag. An object was tossed at him as he quickly caught it was tiny but it seemed as a one size fit all the village had enough time to make such gear but not enough time to find the killers of Genbu or the justice for Burittsu. It was all the same the village was a waste of place and needed a wake up call his glance was menacing as the pod slowly came to a stop in front of what seemed to be nothing but a destroyed land mass. Well to Burittsu at least looking over his shoulders once more his partner seemed to be ready to go into the depths of the cold, dark waters she stripped down to her bathing suit.

To think about it was she always ready with that bathing suit on for a time like this looking back down at the device he didn’t see much of choice. Simply removing his jacket as it made a loud thud noise slamming against the surface of the interior putting on the device and storing an extra capsule in his pocket remained with everything else on for safe measures. Plus the fact he is never prepared to swim let alone be this deep underneath the surface he was just shirtless with his black parachute pants and shinobi sandals heading over to the latch he simply looked back and gave the girl a thumbs up. Swiftly pushing open the door knowing the water would flood in but it didn’t matter they would return fully wet anyways it made no sense but in a quick turn of the wheel Burittsu continued and pulled the door open. Allowing the flood of water to enter the pod but also allowing himself to quickly slip out and shut the door behind him.

The plan was to allow the minimum amount of water to get in the pod if the Uchiha was wise to the plan the pod would take in less water than it needed too as for Burittsu he was introduced to the darkness. No matter how much he focused on it nothing changed just like how he left it the darkness was like a second home to him he found comfort in hiding behind the shadows not allowing anyone to realize who he actually was but the time for memories was for another time. Looking down at the ruins it was still a waste of a land mass to be underneath the water it was a simple job if the Kage whoever that was wanted what was inside he or she could have gotten it themselves. But like always send the shinobi who guard the village more and go on dangerous missions more often a mission in one stroke of his arms he pushed his body at incredible distance.

Quickly paddling himself to the ruins looking for an opening to allow them passage inside hopefully inside would have a great place to relax and get some actual air well whatever air was left inside the temple that wasn’t touched by the water yet. Looking over his shoulder as the lights from the orb shined in all direction some pointed in the darkness alerting whatever was in there company had arrived and some pointed at the destroyed ruins the rest was just anywhere and everywhere most likely acting like a beacon to all who wanted to investigate. It was a tricky place but with careful planning he could find something to let them in and there it was a dark tunnel leading into the ruins by now it didn’t matter to him if he went in alone but he saw no reason to fail this mission.

Even if the rumors were true about the beast who guarded the exit quickly swimming his way to the dark tunnel he plunged head first into the darkness quickly getting sucked in by the water pressure and moving at extreme speeds. It was dark for a while he saw nothing but felt the current of water pushing him straight down on a path to wherever he was being led into. Than it hit his eyes like a bright beam from above the light from the sun that poured into the water shined down upon him as he was thrown out of the tunnel falling out instead of floating quickly crashing against the water down below. The room was bright yellow as if it was painted in gold who knew not Burittsu as he floated back to the top slowly looking around it seemed to be comprised of the remaining air as the water made a moat around what seemed to be circular platform in the middle of it all.

Looking at ceiling he realized how the sunlight got in the top was constricted of nothing but windows none of them cracked or broken. Quickly balancing the chakra on his palms and feet he stood on the surface of the water gazing around studying everything he can the room was golden it wasn’t paint but in the middle of room on the platform was a trunk that was constricted down by chains of its own. Each bolted down to the platform as it seemed it needed a key to unlock it looking closer he only began to sigh and actually wonder if this was some sort of plan taken from a story book or was this the reality of his life. Placing the device in his pocket he gazed around taking the place in as he sat down on the chest waiting for something apparent to happen like his partner showing up or the monster itself coming to claim another death.

“Mhmm so you're telling me that the monster has the key huh? This isn’t a book why is this happening.. Now since i’m down here alone probably my partner is already dead or somewhere else along in this temple.. Ehh reading too many books would do this to me I knew I should have stopped while I was ahead.. Hope she’s okay at least.”

It was time now. The vessel was approaching the destination, and it soon slowed its speed upon getting closer. From the window of the undersea orb, Teru could see something in the distance. Down below at the oceanic ridge. It looked like debris of sorts. Broken down to rubble. Even the structures that were not totally collapsed had been downsized. It was likely that most of the goods were scattered down there. That would not be the biggest problem for them, however. Scavenging around for artifacts and other treasures was surely a fun activity, and it was to be done at the bottom of an ocean. Not all of the hidden villages could do that.

Burittsu was the first to go outside the vessel with what little gear he possessed. Teru returned the thumbs up he gave to her, and she prepared herself for the challenge of getting herself beyond just the door to the orb. She inhaled and exhaled to ease the nerves inside her. There was no telling what would come next... so she was going to have to give her all to ensure that she got back into the vessel alive. Inserting the rebreather into her mouth, Teru followed after Burittsu into the depths of the ocean. Paying little mind to the flashing lights of the vessel, Teru swam forth in pursuit of Burittsu, who was farther down than she was. The water was freezing, but continuous movements with her arms and legs provided a warming sensation in her body.

She saw him go through an opening, which led through the largest structure of the ruins. However, Teru took a different route. There was an opening in the upper level of the sunken building. She propelled her body with the kicking of her legs and strokes of her arms. This must be the armory, Teru thought. Unlike any other parts of the place, this one was flooded with the ocean's water. Not that it was a problem: Teru had plenty of cartridges to last her. So, going through the opening, Teru rummaged through all that there was. It was dark, but the vessel's flashing lights gave her enough illumination to scout through the debris. Clinging to a fallen slab of stone, Teru lifted a slim object with her free hand. It was an old sword of some kind. Dirty and chipped, but it could easily be forged into a cleaner weapon. There were more tools and weapons in the area, so she went along with collecting as much as her arms could manage.

It was easy. Far too easy...

The looming figure outside the building knew that Teru was unaware of its presence, for it could see her collecting the treasures. Its treasures. Eyes of a demon watched her and preyed, but it did not yet attack. No. There was another that it had its claws ready to dig into. The one that had gone into the inner part of its domain. Descending to the tunnel that Burittsu had gone through, the sea creature squeezed inside. Its body was causing a great deal of friction, resulting in the tunnel breaking apart in some places. The monstrous figure was on the trail of its first target in the treasure room... Burittsu. It would blast through the smaller opening, which would then cause for the entire building to tremble from the impact. The monster was growling as it caught sight of the one it intended to devour, the Kirigakure shinobi who was preparing to take its sealed artifacts. With a howl, it would make its move to lunge at Burritsu in an aggressive manner.

Back in the armory, Teru had finally gotten all that she was capable of carrying. It pleased her to claim as much as she did, but the swim back to the vessel was going to be a difficult one with all the weight. She was going to make the swim back to their transportation, but then something unexpected happened. The walls were shaking as if the entire building was going to collapse. Teru's eyes narrowed as she looked around her to see what had occurred. It soon subsided, but she was concerned that something terrible was about to happen. To check on Burittsu was her intentions, but she needed to lighten the load that she was carrying. The orb was close, so she made a swim for it to deposit the tools and other artifacts in a sort of trunk on the outside of the orb. It was convenient for keeping any more water out of the cockpit.

As soon as those were out of the way, Teru replaced one of the cartridges of her rebreather and returned to the sunken treasury to check on the status of her partner. She hoped that he was still in good health. As she swam, she mentally berated herself for separating from Burittsu. She was aware that there was a dangerous monster that lurked around the oceanic ridge, but she still put space between herself and that man. It would have been best if she had just stayed by his side in case something went after her. Before something was to happen to him, she would make sure that she got to his side to aid him in whatever situation he was caught up in. Perhaps there was nothing wrong. The place was unstable, so those strange noises and tremors from before could have been nothing... Regardless, she progressed down through the tunnel to investigate. It was the last place she saw Burittsu go, so that was where she would begin figuring things out. Ah, and there was the possibility that there were far more interesting discoveries to be made.

To her surprise, the tunnel was more spacey than it looked. It appeared more narrow when she last saw it. That observation did, however, bring some suspicion to her mind. She was certain now that something had gone through there. But, she had to go down further to determine exactly what it was.

Minding his business the area was quiet until the sound of cracking beyond the walls startled him forcing him to look at the path where he entered from the flow of water stopped coming through. Standing up on his feet he knew something large enough was coming the sounds of cracking echoed throughout the room bouncing off the walls. In mere seconds after standing a large black being itself appeared it was a rare sight indeed but Burittsu continued to look at it every second. It all happen so quick Burittsu saw it from his point of view the beast was highly annoyed with an intruder in the room so it made it obvious it was the monster. Indeed he felt it was time for him to move before giving the monster a chance Burittsu quickly sprinted off the platform as the platform behind him was quickly captured by the monster itself. It stood on two legs as if it was human about fifteen feet tall indeed it was smart.

The dust picked up covering the chest but that was the least of his problems the beast’s eyes were a bright purple and the gaze of the monster was solely locked onto Burittsu if this beast knew he was here. That would most likely mean the Uchiha was dead and handled with even under his command and watch he had lost another person in his life even if they had just recently met. It was a sort of shock that wouldn’t leave like the sting of losing Genbu it was going to last forever until he could kill the opposer who took the life of the innocent and that was his goal this very moment. He stood on the water his eyes locked that of the beast but he knew if he wanted to kill this monster he needed to get to his level. Running towards the wall he quickly ascending up above the ground level running on the ceiling.

The beast itself seemed to have other plans as both of his arms quickly transformed the reports indicated tendrils or blade like weapons but to Burittsu skin was skin he would break through anything to avenge the death of his partner. His ambition itself brought him this far and losing another one even when he gained the strength he lacked so long ago and was still able to allow a comrade to die. His eyes narrowed down as he gave out a smirk biting down hard the hands of the beast fully transformed into blades it seemed it wanted to slash Burittsu into pieces it was obvious Burittsu wasn’t trying to sneak around but there was no other defenses the beast had. No matter how many times it could transform it was now prey to the the iceman himself it was just skin at the end of the day no matter how many transformations it did Burittsu wanted it dead and that’s how it was gonna be in this battlezone that should have been called hell.

“Finally a worthy enemy I can finally kill without worry you’ll pay for killing Teru!”

The game was done and put on the shelf the real image of Burittsu stepped out into the light throwing away his fake skin back into the shadows the man who loved combat and the risk it came with was revealed. Not to a human or anyone who had the possibility of actually understanding him but to a monster who deemed itself worthy to fight a shinobi no matter how many it killed in the past Burittsu only looked at it as if a kid was looking at candy. He wanted it and he would do anything to kill it and fill the void in his heart well most of it anyways at least he was given a chance to save someone who deserved a better leader. Not one who would simply abandon the team when time came.

Burittsu was ready focusing the pure amount of chakra and the ice nature into his right fist he continued to run around in a circular motion around the beast charging up his chakra but the beast itself seemed more pleased and couldn’t wait. Quickly swinging at the male creating a cloud of dust and causing the temple itself to shake in its wake even if was only fifteen feet tall the transformation skills of its body was something coming out of a story book. This monster adapted to shinobi it towered over all shinobi but it didn’t mean it was stronger than all shinobi and Burittsu would prove that ripping through the smoke. His right fist was pure solid ice full of chakra and nothing but rage and vengeance he quickly jumped off the wall as speeding bullet aiming straight down for the beast but it would have to be faster than that. He aimed for the water in front of the platform landing on his feet. His speed itself from that point on was to close for the monster to attempt to dodge out the way it had no choice but to brace the ice user head on. Burittsu’s speed in his fist increased at incredible rate strong and fast enough to kill the beast in a single swing well he only hoped that was all he needed against such an enemy. In two steps he was now in front of the monster with a quick leap into the air and a thrust of his punch he aimed for the chest of the monster.

“Goodbye..”

As he expected even if it was his first actual test on a living being the jutsu was a success knowing the monster wouldn’t leave its post leaving the treasure open to the intruder but it didn’t have a choice either. When it came to protecting itself placing its blade like arms in front of oncoming death Burittsu’s eyes were dull to the light each of them seemed to lose the same glow they had a while back. All he saw was death and the need to avenge the fallen to such beast he said goodbye not only to the beast but to Teru as well in the single punch he threw. His face showed no emotion even he didn’t know how he was currently feeling but he did know someone had to pay for killing off those he cared about. With the single punch it meant goodbye to Genbu too letting him finally go well for now anyways until his own killer was found his fist quickly blew through the skin of beast ripping all the way as his fist embedded itself onto the chest of the beast.

Forcing its way a little deeper as the sound of crunching bones gave away the surprise from the inside of the monster everything in range was frozen at least by exactly two foot radius the outside of the skin was already getting devoured by the ice. Internally it was destroyed and killed the heart was frozen same as the beast as Buritsu’s eyes were now full of darkness but somewhere he still felt the sting. Placing his feet on the blade like hands he ripped out his right arm as the beast remained motionless like a statue dead jumping down on the ground he began to pant even if it was the first time using the skill he was surprised it came to a success such as that it was now only him and the chest and he was willing to drag it back to the surface with his hand if he had too. Quickly walking to the chest conserving his breath he only focused one of his chakra on into his left forming tiny claws swiping at the chains freeing the chest as he quickly began to drag it towards the opening in which he and the beast came in from. Stopping half way it seemed the pain would last longer than he thought.

Teru swam as fast as she could through the tunnel, avoiding any sharp edges of rubble that might cut into her flesh. There was some sort of commotion on the other side of that tunnel. It was one that she could not afford to miss, and it was one that was decisive in a way. A life was hanging in the balance- one that she hoped would stay strong until she got to where it was. Bubbles flowed from her mask as she propelled herself forward. The light from the other side became strong, and soon she would expel from the water and into the building. But, she caught on to a change in the temperature. It was freezing cold, much colder than how it was before. In addition to that, the ocean water was locked outside of this particular chamber. An air pocket, she realized. It was nothing to be surprised about, though. There were a variety of laws of the world. Physics, maybe. So, being able to breath without the aid of a rebreather was possible. Boats, buildings, and some other structures could manage developing a bubble. There was plenty of oxygen to gain from it, so life could temporarily reside in such a place.

Falling down to ground level, Teru shut off the oxygen nurturing her from the mask to conserve, and she lowered it so that the mask was around her neck. "What?" was all she could mutter as she gazed at her surroundings. Ice covered nearly every inch of the place. To the touch, it was dry and cold, but quickly became slick. The ice under her bare feet crackled as she stepped forward. No more tremors, for the unexpected commotion, or battle, had ended. Her hazel eyes looked on in awe at a frozen statue further ahead. No, it was no statue. It as a monster frozen, crisped by the ice. Teru sped up her pace and moved around the frozen creature. She had to confirm if it was he who had done it. Although, it was shortly later when she was able to solve the mystery of what had occurred while she was making her way over. Her eyes landed on a figure swiping at an object- a chest. All she could see was his back, but she also heard some words coming out of his mouth. Goodbye, it sounded like, and then some names that followed after. she could have sworn that one of those names was hers.

But, that did not matter to her. Teru's face twisted into a mix of anger and relief, and some frustration, too. She approached Burittsu and was tempted to thwack him on the back of his head with a closed fist. Well, there was no hitting, but she did inhale deeply to speak directly to him. "What do you think you are doing?" Teru grumbled with a slightly raised voice. Her hands went to her hips as she glared daggers at Burittsu, whether he noticed it or not. It could be said that she was also upset that she did not get a chance to fight against the monster, too. Teru waited for him to turn around and face her. To answer her questions. "Care to explain what happened here?" She was eager earlier to get her hands on some action. When she had learned of the mission's details, she became interested in the mentioning of a peculiar sea beast. It would have satisfied her boredom, she thought. However, here was Burittsu. He had clearly done away with the monster that lurked in the ocean. It was frozen solid, likely from the inside out.

Further observation made her wonder, though. No person she met during her life had ever been able to freeze anything solid. Not without the aid of a refrigerator in homes. Teru's eyes were narrowed as she thought. There was no way a man could freeze anything, unless... he was of that clan. The people of the Yuki clan. Teru was familiar with the name, as they resided within the same village as she. Yes, that had to be it. Burittsu of the Yuki clan. It was incredible power, however, and it interested her considerably. That explained how he performed during their last mission together. But, what he had done not too long ago... Was that all he was capable of?

Regardless of what Burittsu was to say, if he had anything to say at all, Teru would leave him to do what he wanted with the chest. It was his finding, and she already collected what she had gone there to get. Perhaps he made a valuable discovery. There were likely to be all sorts of magnificent riches inside that chest. Teru did not exit the treasury room, for it was possible that Burittsu would need an extra hand with carrying everything. And so, she would keep close to him and take in her arms anything that would need her hand. It was about time they returned to the village for submission of all that they had collected.

Hearing the subtle voice made him stop in his tracks as he looked over his shoulder being blessed with another chance at life to do it right at first he thought he was simply going crazy again. He thought he was at least only to give up and look anyway what he saw was the real thing no imagination, lie, or even demon. Teru stood there with her hands on her hips and Burittsu was grateful she was alive he could only smile back at her no words were needed as he walked towards her with the trunk being easily dragged. Only thing he seemed to do to show that he did care was place his hand on her shoulder and continue to smile stopping his eyes from watering all over the poor girl. Quickly wrapping his arm around her pulling her in even though he was colder than normal the hug felt warm to him something he needed a long time ago.

“I thought I lost you from now on your sticking by my side when we’re on missions okay.”

Letting her go as turned his back to her and quickly wiped his face from the flow of tears escaping he was truly happy that she lived and nothing else traumatic happened. He waved over to the girl in a casual response as he lifted up the chest and placed it on his shoulders. And began walking out towards where they all seemed to enter once more even if it was going against the flow of water. Maybe it could be best just to destroy the place but that would also mean when the beast came back to life it would have no purpose in living anymore. To him everyone and thing needed a place to belong too but for now the purpose was to get home and turn in the goods and collect the money so he could pay for a proper meal for once. He did grow tired of hunting fish and killing off the creatures of the forest from time to time.

Looking back once more at the frozen statue of the beast Burittsu was pleased in a sort of way none could expect he now lusted for more power in one day to shatter a statue instead of making it. Something that would be feared by this comparison the smugglers had it way too easy when Burittsu came around to defend the village from their lust of moving weapons, drugs, and now slaves. Perhaps he should give them all the same treatment a good single punch through their body in front of everyone should be a demonstration but even a good show wouldn’t stop these fiends from coming back. Gazing at the statue it was a nice view a good one for memory in the future where it all started off but the jutsu did take some out of him but he had enough to make it back home. Now his gaze was fixed on the Uchiha.

“Well C’mon Teru imma keep a close eye on you from now. But for now mission is complete let's go get this money.”
