It's been a while huhn....

Seated comfortably on his bed in the Kanetsu clan compound, Raishi wiped the lingering trickles of sweat from across his forehead with his left hand. With his right hand, he held 2 sheets of paper, both containing details about the two Genin that had been placed under his tutelage. He smiled lightly as he continued looking through their information, not because there was anything particularly amusing about either of the characters, but because he could remember a time where he would have never even thought of volunteering to lead a team, as he had seen the responsiblity as an unnecessary burden. Perhaps that's why I never lasted he thought to himself. Throughout his time as a Jounin of Iwagakue no Sato, he had had a total of about 4 different teams, each with somewhat unique characters, from all sorts of clans and backgrounds, and he couldn't count a single one that had actually made it to become anything. Well excluding Jet... he thought to himself curiously. But she was an outlier really, as her success was more based on her irrefutable insanity rather than any influence Raishi had on her. Heck, he couldn't even recognise her or remember her name when he saw her. And frankly, he wouldn't be able to recognise any of the others he had taught in the past. This time will be different he thought to himself as he dropped the sheets of paper on his bed.

As it was still early in the morning, Raishi needed to get prepared for the day ahead. So he stood up, rubbing the vestiges of sleep from his eyes, and stretching his arms wide and flapping them like a hawk, before quickly dressing up. Since he already had on his black shinobi trousers and black sandals, he put on a plain white long sleeved T shirt with the Kanetsu crest on the back, and his Iwagakure village bandana style headband. As he put those on, he eyed his flak jacket in the corner, deliberating whether he should or should not wear it. In the end, he decided against it, as he decided that this preliminary meeting would only be a casual affair.

After dressing up, Raishi advanced to his desk, where there were two blank sheets of paper, ready to be written on with a pen in between both of them. He sat his desk, swiftly crafting a note to be delivered to the domiciles of his two students. Yamada, Alexis.....Kyudoka, Logan..... With the final pen stroke, Raishi looked at the two cards, proof reading what he had written, making sure they were of identical content. The message read:

Dear Guest
Waterfall Point. Noon. Come Prepared.

- Raishi Kanetsu

Oh wow... he thought to himself, chuckling a bit. It only just dawned on him that he had a thing for writing short, to the point messages with his students. Was it for the sake of suspense? To get them anxious for what he had planned? He had no idea. Perhaps it was just the way he was wired. Shortly after finishing the lettersm Raishi dashed outside, escaping the warmth of the overwhelming warmth of the volcano into the cool morning's air. The sun was beginning its rise into the sky already, signifying the awakening of the village itself, and Raishi wanted to deliver the messages without being seeing by either of his students. Dashing from house to house as inscribed on the information sheets he had, he successfully delivered the notes before returning back to the clan compound to handle business as usual. It wouldn't be till about 30 minutes before noon before Raishi found himself at Waterfall Point, on the ground right next to the lake at the bottom of the waterfalls. Even though he was on land, he could feel the occasional sprinkle of water from the waterfalls, its coolnes soothing his naturally hot body. It was here that he waited for his students to arrive.

Alexis was training in the backfield, trying to use the crystal style, but mixing her elements together was not working, maybe she needed to try something else? But she was also playing a game of Go, as she was training, her family wanted a lot from Alexis pushing her past her limit, doing many tasks at once. She was dressed in her Kimono casual or not, Alexis was someone that dressed noble like in all types of events. Then a letter would arrive as one of the help past it towards her father, it was a letter from her new sensei, saying to meet him at the waterfall when it was Noon. Right away her father would give Alexis not words of advice, more like don't allow yourself to fail. Alexis is from a noble family.

"Alexis, you will be meeting your sensei for the first time today, I don't what you to beat him as that is an impossible task for someone who has only just learned the ways of ninjutsu, but I do not wish for you to allow any of his other students to outshine you, if that happens, then we will have to up your training, in this and Go, I will not allow my daughter to lose, do you understand." Her father and mother were strict towards her.

"You will show them, that not only that you are the strongest in Go, but also with your ninjutsu, this is more and just about the clan, but are bloodline that runs in this family's veins." Alexis would nod her head towards him. "Yes, father." With that, she would head out after she was finished with her game of Go. The only person able to beat Alexis so far was her father.

It would take some time, but Alexis would show up on time, to meet her new teacher being a little early. She would give him respect as he had the rank, to earn it. That is what her father taught Alexis, but he also said, people who don't earn respect shouldn't have any. She would look towards the waterfall until she saw her Sensei, Alexis gave him a small bow, speaking in a polite tone, having a soft voice. She would have both of her hands crossed under each sleeve of her Kimono crossed together. Like someone of noble standing would.

"Hello sir, I am Alexis from the Yamada clan, it's a pleasure to meet you." She would say, having a smile, but also looked calm.

Alexis was wearing a long elaborate dress, which is her kimono, fashioned with many colors, being really fluffy. The colors that are shown on her dress is green, pink, white, black and red being really long. If her hands are straight down. The robes will cover her hands, with her having to push them up. Her kimono is more and just one dress it's many items, put together. Finishing her outfit is a pair of black shoes.

The clock struck 7:00 AM as one of Logan's most hated objects awakens him from a restful night of slumber.  Grunting over to himself, he looked over at the alarm clock, analyzing the time that it was.  7 AM... He thought to himself, I think I found my least favorite number.  He slapped the tip of the alarm as he unraveled the blankets from around his body, placing both of his feet on the cold hardwood floor.  Logan closed his eyes once again, remembering an extremely important thing about today's date.  Today was the day that the young shinobi would be placed into an official Iwagakure squad!

As soon as the realization came to mind, he ran outside of his apartment and straight towards his complex’s mailbox building, putting on his clothing as he was running.  He slammed the door open, lightly jogging towards his apartment’s mailbox.  Pulling the key out, Logan opened his mail, showing up to an unfortunate result.  After further inspection, there was no letter for him or anything!  Looking around sporadic, he decided to head back home.  Maybe the courier just hasn’t come ye-, Logan began to think to himself until he saw the mail courier enter the building.

Forgetting any previous train of thought, the energized shinobi ran towards the courier with all signs of excitement.  Logan ran up on the courier saying, “Anything for Kyudoka… Logan?”.  The courier looked at Logan as if he were a crack head asking for money, but still sighed and searched through his bag for Logan’s mail.  Without saying a word, the courier looked at the shinobi with a disgruntled look, handing him two pieces of mail.  Logan looked at the courier and let out a slight smirk, not caring about the man’s opinions of him.

Settling down on his excitement, Logan began to make his way back to his apartment.  He was still feeling emotions of anxiety, wondering what the letter could possibly say.  In his mind, he was imagining a letter of grand prestige, congratulating him on how well he has performed in the past.  Unfortunately for Logan, one of the major downsides of being the only child protégé is having no sense of how others around you truly perform.  In his mind, he was the only person that mattered and whatever anyone else wanted to do they could do freely, without Logan’s care.  He did not know how he felt about the entire situation, but he did know one thing –  he wanted to learn what it is like to truly rely on other people.

Entering through his apartment door, he sat down on the kitchen counter, unravelling the contents of the piece of mail he received.  Hmmm, Logan began to think to himself, Raishi Kanetsu… Kantesu.  Tch, that’s the clan that supposedly scorched the Earth country, turning it into what it is today.  Interesting.  Logan picked up his kunai, cutting open the brim of the envelope.  He pulled the letter out of the package, analyzing it closely.  After reading the contents, he looked down at the piece of paper in disappointment.  This…. Is my squad acceptance letter?  He thought in surprise.  Excepting something significantly more grand than what he had received, he leaped down from the counter.  He threw the letter on the ground as he had remembered the significantly short message with ease, walking back to his room to slumber until around 11:45 AM.

11:45 passes, as Logan climbs back out of his bed from a four-hour nap.  He had the same clothes on that he had put on before, changing nothing about his usual attire.  Waterfall Point, huh, Logan thought as he began to head out of the door.  It took him a second to remember where Waterfall Point was, as he had never been there before – but learned about in during the Academy’s geography unit.  Pulling the map out of his memory, Logan made a sound of realization and began to head towards the beautiful main source of Iwagakure water. On the walk to his meet his new squad, Logan could not get the thought about the Kanetsu’s clan history out of his head.  It is amazing that the art of Lava Release could be so detrimental to a country, but as time passed, Logan slowly lost interest in the idea.

Arriving at the top of Waterfall Point, Logan peered down the bottom of the waterfalls, analyzing what was on the ground.  He notices two figures, although too far to identify their silhouettes.  Taking precaution of the two individuals, he scaled down the rocks sticking out of one the waterfalls while keeping focus on their movements.  He finally arrived on the ground, gracefully landing both of his feet on the stone-cold rock.

After studying the way that the two shinobi were postured, Logan slowly approached the two that were standing together.  One of them donned long, grey hair with normal attire – leaning towards more of the mature side, while the other wore a huge bright dress with a combination of many crazy colors.  Logan let a smirk out through the corner of his mouth while looking at the crazy shinobi, wondering how much time she spends on her appearances.

My name is Kyudoka, Logan.  I am here to meet Team 4 - led by Kanetsu, Raishi.”, Logan announced with confidence.  He wanted his first words to be direct and with a clear, confident voice.

It wasn't too long before one of the students arrived just a bit before noon. As Alexi made her approached, Raishi couldn't help but notice the dignified, almost regal, manner in which she held herself, each step an extremely poised calculation. It was more than just her gait, but also in her mannerisms as well; she gave a small bow with arms crossed in her kimono as she greeted the Jounin, and the softness and sheer politeness in her voice were almost intoxicating, garnished with a refined smile.

"Hello sir, I am Alexis from the Yamada clan, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Raishi merely returned her smile, acknowledging her greetings with a nod. In the file he had been given concerning her, the picture present was off her in a kimono as well, and Raishi had figured that she'd only worn it in the picture to mark the special occasion of becoming a Genin. He didn't think that long elaborate dresses were actually what she wore all the time, as here she was with a painfully colorful amalgam of fluffy cloth; green, white, red, black and pink all stood out in the bright Iwagakure sun, sure to stun any bird that just so happens to look down. Quite the interesting fashion sense...is this how she always dresses? he thought to himself. Then again, there was always the chance that she found this to be a formal ocassion as well, but Raishi had specifically written that they should come prepared. How was wearing an elaborate dress coming prepared? We'll have to wait and see then...

Shortly after Alexis' arrival, there came Logan, his long hair tossing about side to side as he scaled down the rocks out of the main waterfall. Unlike Alexis, Logan was dressed rather monochromatically, in a monotonous black. However, like Alexis, Logan seemed to possess a calm gracefulness about him, as seen with his calculated maneuvering down the Waterfall, without mistake. So we're all level-headed in this team huhn... he thought to himself as Logan finally reached the ground, grateful that he didn't have to deal with any foolish hotheadedness.

My name is Kyudoka, Logan.  I am here to meet Team 4 - led by Kanetsu, Raishi.”,

Smile still on his face, Raishi raised an eyebrow as he looked at Logan. Although he had spoken with confidence, which was a good thing, he'd flat out just mentioned the obvious, as Raishi was already aware why they were there, and so was Alexis. It was akin to entering a Genin exam as an Academy Student, and announcing that they were there to take the exam. I'll let it slide... he thought to himself. He'd just met the two of them, and it was clear in Logan's eyes that he was proud of himself for announcing his arrival, so he didn't want to embarrass Logan in front of his team mate. He sighed, before replacing his previous facial expression with a big smile and addressing the pair with a warm and welcoming voice.

"Welcome, both of you. As you're well aware by now, you've been assigned to my team after successfully reaching the rank of Genin. Congratulations! It only gets exponentially harder from here on out, but don't worry, it's my job to guide you on your journey. Now although I have detailed information about you, it only concerns the things directly relevant to me, such as your names, your chosen specialisations etc, I don't know much else about you. So, for this first part of our meeting, I want to ask you to tell me about yourselves; you know, a bit of your background, why you want to become a shinobi, your aspirations and goals, things like that. Alexis, start us off."

He would look hopefully at Alexis, waiting for her to begin.

Alexis would see a boy upon the rocks, he looked like the calm and confident type and hearing him speak she was not wrong in thinking this way. This team was odd, but could they really mix well? Alexis was someone who has been forced and trained who she is even learning all classes of manners to make herself more poised, but this boy acted more like the free soul type, doing what he likes on his own. Even in battle, you should be able to show someone that you can fight, even wearing an elaborate dress, without it getting in the way, showing the clan's power in more ways, everything had to be graceful that was the teaching of her father, but watching Kyudoka move it was easy to see he has also trained. As he was coming down from the rocks.

Then she remembered what her father said, don't lose to any of the other students. With that Alexis would be the first one up as she would start to speak to her team captain. "Yes sir. I one day wish to lead my clan to show, we have the most powerful abilities, but not only in Jutsu but in a graceful way of doing things, with our mind as well. I wish to learn my clan's Jutsu and my father's summoning. Other and being a Kunoichi, I also play a game with feudal lord's and other nobles, like myself. Called Go, where I travel to teach them or play a game, as a professional player."

It was one more thing that her father wish for the clan to do, anyone who leaves and causes destruction was no longer a true Yamada clan member. This man was named Tame, someone who could have the power to become a clan leader, but he used his talent to leave the village and cause harm to the clan's name even if he didn't do anything that was evil or chaotic, but still he tries to ruin the name.

"I also wish to find a rogue ninja who is named Tame, a member of my own clan, that left the village and place him in jail." Alexis didn't know what she wishes to do with him yet, but her father wanted him back in the village behind bars. Alexis was someone you could say didn't do what was right or wrong, only on what her father thought was correct or not.

This was all Alexis had to say, about her own goals well you could say, her father's goals for her.

Logan was standing there, analyzing his sensei as he introduced himself.  As Raishi raised his eyebrow, Logan peered him down, attempting to get the reason why.  His sensei hid his emotions well, the young shinobi not being able to get a single bit of information out of the “old man”.  Logan backed his attention away from him, as Raishi smiled and began to speak, giving Logan a little sense of an uneasy relief.  As his sensei was speaking, Logan was acknowledging the words he was saying - taking the congratulations with a hint of sarcasm, and feeling uneasy about the curiosity of our goals.  Logan silently laughed as Raishi finished his “required by the government” speech.

When sensei finished his speech, he nodded towards Alexis, waiting for her supposedly big plans.  Logan paid attention to Alexis’s speech with a lot more focus than sensei’s, as this is his teammate – the one he will depend on when sensei is not there.  He paid close attention to the young kunoichi’s nationalistic family view and sense of “immense power”.  He wondered what clan she was in, as Logan unfortunately missed her introduction.  He continued to listen as she spoke about her hobby game Go, but noticed how she did not give a whole lot of useful information on the gameplay.

One of Logan’s questions were answered though, with a little bit of critical thinking.  She explained to the squad how she had wished to find the rogue ninja Tame, whom is infamous in Academy history books for murdering Hokage Tatsumaru a long while ago.  Tame was known for his Crystal Release, which identifies Alexis as a Yamada – as long as she is telling the truth.  As she abruptly ended on that note about Tame, it was assumed that she was done speaking.  Tch, Logan began to think to himself, Crystal Release.  And all that talk about being the most powerful clan?  He was just being internally rude, but that would never be something he would say out loud.

The young shinobi cleared his throat as he walked forward, glancing into each of the two ninja’s eyes, waiting for their full attention.  Logan began to speak with a confident, but careless voice, “I care very little for my past.  But, my past reflects the reasoning for my future goals.  The night I was born, my father was paralyzed from the neck down by the Alya clan. He was a well-respected Jounin in the old system.  Regardless, the paralysis took away all our income, sending the once wealthy family in to all-time lows.  My mother was then murdered by them in a marketplace accident while I was in Academy.  Since then, the clan has moved to a different country, a country that I do not have the location of…. “, Logan began saying through his speech.  It was true that he cared very little for his family history, but it was even more accurate that he had an unhealthy thirst for power.  “But, it’s incredible feats of power that I seek.  Not to avenge my family – but to prevent the downfall of other families.  Eradicating the filth is what I seek, as well as achieving the unfathomable heights of power- “, Logan’s speech came to a brief halt as he realized he shared more than he planned on.  It was good to let that off his chest, as these were the first two he’s ever told that story to.

Logan puffed a loud sigh, as he took a second from talking to recollect his thoughts.  This is nonsense…, Logan thought to himself, You are here for power.  Not to create unnecessary bonds.  He finished his recollection, looking back up at Sensei Raishi, saying “I am here to gain enough strength to lead the Iwagakure Anbu.  I want to take out the real trash, the trash that only the higher elite have access to.”.  It was true too – and if one of those trash missions involve the obliteration of the Alya clan, Logan is all for it.  He envied the Anbu Black Ops.  Their freedom, skillset, and loyalty is everything the young shinobi wanted, dreaming of obtaining the strength to join.  As he finally finished his over-dramatic speech, Logan stepped back and stood next to Alexis.  He expected that Sensei Raishi had heard everything he wanted to hear, and was ready to continue with the next part of the agenda for the day.

As he walked back to stand next to Alexis, he quickly analyzed her from top to bottom - just making another mental note of the way she presented herself.

As she spoke, Raishi listened attentively to what she had to say about herself. He smiled as she described her wish to become th ehead of her clan some day and even went on to describe the Yamada kekkei genkai as well as their abilties, whatever those may be, as the most powerful. In all of Iwagakure no Sato? And what does she mean by power? he thought to himself amusedly. Was it destructive power? If so there were far more powerful contenders, such as Jinton of the Yuryo clan and even Bakuton, talk less of Yoton of the Kanetsu. But she was right about the gracefulness of the clan; in fact, here she was, a prime depiction of what she was talking about, dressed in an elbaorate dress and having a regal demeanour despite the innate casualness of this meeting. Shoton to mirror elegance huhn... he thought to himself. The Yamada clan seemed to take mirroring their 'art' into a whole other level.

Raishi was rather impressed when he heard Alexis explain her proficiency with the game Go, and how she was actually a professional player and played with other nobles like herself. So that's what she love... he noted to himself. Although she spoke of what she love, the girl's speech was a heavily controlled; there were no signs of excitement as she mentioned her dear game Go, no light in her eyes whatsoever. It was almost as if she was reading a script. Perhaps that's the way she's been trained to communicate...she is a noble afterall he thought to himself curiously. He could never understand why one would or be conditioned to restrain their own emotions in order to depict some faux regal aloofness. But then again, he was only a commoner after all.

As Alexis finished up with her comment about Tame, Raishi couldn't help but raise a curious eyebrow. It wasn't long till Logan himsel fstepped up to the plate, and began his own self description.

"I care very little for my past. Since then, the clan has moved to a different country, a country that I do not have the location of….But, it’s incredible feats of power that I seek.  Not to avenge my family – but to prevent the downfall of other families.  Eradicating the filth is what I seek, as well as achieving the unfathomable heights of power-I am here to gain enough strength to lead the Iwagakure Anbu.  I want to take out the real trash, the trash that only the higher elite have access to "

Even though Logan spoke loudly and clearly with an affirmed confidence, there seemed to be a darkness that clouded around him as he described the circumstances in which his family had lost everything and the people responsible. But his voice was still steady and calm, albeit the subtle carelessness of his words. Raishi listened on, keeping a curious eyebrow raised. It seemed admirable, what Logan aspired to do, who he aspired to become. He wanted to be the person that he would've wanted to be present the day the Alya took their livelihood away, not for his sake, but for the sake of others who would be as helpless to the situation as he was. Yet, this thirst for power he continued to speak of belied his otherwise admirable goal. It could be a dangerous path... Raishi thought, taking a note of Logan.

Nodding as Logan finished up, Raishi looked at both his students once more before calmly addressing what they had just shared with him.

"Interesting...it seems that you both of your paths as a shinobi were most definitely chosen for you, rather than you consciously deciding; one chosen by heritage (he glances at Alexis) and the other chosen by your experiences (glances at Logan) which is okay, as this is the usual story with everyone anyway. But you two must understand that you'll soon get to a point where you question the ground you stand; you'll question your very purpose, your own life even, wondering whether it truly belongs to you or not, because to tell you the truth, sometimes it doesn't. Until you consciously take your own life in your hands to form it, free of outside influence whether it be hate, a sense of duty or even love, only then can you truly evolve to be the best version of yourselves. You need to know why you really are a shinobi, why that's what you want to do or you'll never get far with it"

Raishi then looked at them strangely, realising that his thoughts about what they had told him had led him to going on a somewhat philosophical tangent. He was talking to himself more than he was his students, and they probably thought him crazy now. Sighing, Raishi began speaking again.

"Now, before we progress to the more interesting part of this meeting, I want you two to tell me what you would've been if not for a shinobi. This is a way for me to sort of gauge your personalities further. After that, feel free to ask me any precise questions you may have, whether it be about me, the village or anything at all. You can ask a total of two questions each. I repeat, two questions only, and they must be precise."

Alexis didn't wish to learn the power to destroy, but the graceful way of creation that was the way of the Yamada kekkai genkai which was not destruction, but creation the graceful ability to create a new world if they so wished. Her squad captain was   a smart one it was like Alexis was reading it from a  script showing when spoke about something it was no light in her eyes.

Listening to her captain speak still it was true her path was 100% from heritage, but it was not like Alexis cared, that was just her destiny, something that was unable to be changed. Alexis didn't think her way of thinking would change as she didn't wish to disrespect her father.

It was easy for Alexis to say what she would do because well she was already kind of doing it. "Sensei, I am already kind of doing it, but if I was not a Shinobi I would be a Go professional, but I would be leaving the village a lot more, playing more games to earn more money."

Then thinking what to ask him, she thought, but didn't have any questions she wished to know, well more like someone of her rank had no right to ask questions like that from him. Giving him a bow Alexis would speak once more. "Sorry sir, but I don't think it's right of us asking you questions it would be disrespectful." She would look towards the other student of the Sensei, she respected his thoughts, but at the same would he be able to overcome the rage would feel seeing someone in that clan.

"I do respect your goal, but do you think, if you see a member of that clan that caused you so much pain, you will be able control your rage and anger towards them?" Alexis would say lookings towards him it wouldn't be easy for someone to control themselves if they seen someone that has not only caused pain to them but to his love ones as well.

Sorry sir, but I don't think it's right of us asking you questions it would be disrespectful. I do respect your goal, but do you think, if you see a member of that clan that caused you so much pain, you will be able control your rage and anger towards them?

Raishi merely smiled and nodded as he acknowledged Alexis' upbringing. It was strange, meeting someone so learned in the ideals of respect and seniority, and at the same time, it was somewhat refreshing. Yet, Raishi couldn't help but feel a certain sadness, as he realised that this type of behaviour was more so often one that was grueled forcefully into another, through all sorts of, usually, harsh means. Interesting.. he thought. He looked sadly at Alexis, unbeknownst to her as she asked her team mate a question. The Kanetsu then looked towards Logan, expecting both a question from him, and an answer to his team mate's significant question about his current goals. Time passed awkwardly, and silence reigned. Yet, Logan just stood there, unresponsiveness, and unassuming. Is he deliberately ignoring her..? Raishi thought to himself. That wasn't a good one to start building bonds. After more moments of unendurable silence passed, Raishi clapped his hands and then wove a few quick hand seals before slamming them into the ground. The surrounding radius of 10 meters would then shoot up from the ground, with Raishi in the center, and Logan and Alexis in front of him facing each other. They ground was elevated about 15 meters, and behind Raishi was the ground, whilst towards where he was facing down below, was the stream that the waterfalls combined into.

" Alright, here is what's going to happen. Since you two will be team mates, I'd like you to both have a taste of what the other is capable of, and this is most efficiently achieved through a little spar. But I like to make things interesting. There is only one rule, and that is, whoever manages to push the other off this raised land into the stream of water below wins and remains on this team as my sole student. I hope you are both prepared, as coming prepared was the only instruction I left on your invite notes. You may begin."

Alexis would blink why did he look sad? It was a little odd she has not said anything that should be called disrespectful towards someone? Maybe it was Logan because he has not done anything for a while. It was like his mind was gone. Alexis didn't care if this boy was not paying any attention towards her, she was a noble with him only being a commoner. It was true, she did show respect, but only towards people who have earned a standing in this world. Then a waterfall would rise into the air as they all when into the sky. It was really high up, it was easy to see this man had a good understanding of his chakra.

When her teacher said the battle could start, Alexis would form many hand signs as she would say in a calm manner. "Earth Release: Earth Shore Return" As her hand hit the ground a wall would form, but it was not over as she said another Jutsu but not saying it out loud this time so he wouldn't hear it and know what she was planning. It was the clone Jutsu, as it ran out from the left side, if this was enough to make Logan lose focus for a second, she would run out the other side using another Earth Style. "Earth Release: Earth Flow River!" A powerful river of mud and dirt would come towards Logan, hoping this would be enough to knock him off. She couldn't lose here her father would think less of her.

This was also a test to see how far he could go. Alexis did think about one thing. If this was to see how far they can go as a team, then why add that last part? Only one can be his solo student if we fight over that then they can't work as any type of team because it would be bad blood between them both.

Interesting... Raishi thought. He watched as Alexis formed hand signs, erupting a slab of Earth from the ground and using it as a means of blocking her movements and trickery from Logan's eyesights. However, from where he was standing, the sensei himself could see the hand she was about to deal, not only because he used to implement that same form of strategy in his earlier, less experienced days, but he could quite literally see her form the hand seals for the academy level Doppelganger Technique. It's the Doppelganger Technique, mastery of which is required to graduate from the Academy, so Logan should easily be able identify this, as the clone is not actually Alexis, since it has no physical form; it doesn't disturb the area around it, neither does it have any shadows he thought to himself. He turned towards Logan, curious to see how the boy was preparing for the assault, of if he had a strategy of his own. To Raishi's surprise, Logan stood absolutely still, an utterly blank expression on his face, which was either a cause of overconfidence, or pure absentmindedness. This looks familiar... Raishi thought, as he continued to look at the boy with a raised eyebrow.

In a flash, Alexis, the real Alexis, came running out of the right side of the earthen wall, weaving a few handseals before slamming her hands on the ground. Hmmm he thought, looking carefully at the interaction between the two. Overall, her plan was simple, almost basic, fairly easy to execute and even easier to predict and thus evade. Yet, here Logan was, seemingly unaffected by the happenings of his environs, his mind gone far far away as the ground below him began churn into a river like state and he was pushed off the raised earthen pillar. Perhaps he has a come back plan up his sleeve or... Raishi thought expectantly, hoping that the energy and enthusiasm Logan had shown earlier would come through in this battle. It didn't take long, however, till a loud splash was heard, signifying Logan's inexorable failure. With an obviously disappointing sigh, Raishi spoke loudly.

"Wow that ended depressingly quickly. Well Logan, I don't know what happened, but get back up here, I we have to talk about the mistake you made."

A multitude of moments passed, and Raishi's suspicions began to raise as there was neither a response from Logan, nor any movement from down below besides the crashing of the waters. He walked over to the other side of the pillar, where Alexis had push Logan off of, and called out to him one more time. Raishi looked down below, and noticed that the boy was just unmoving, his face down in the water in the position he had fallen. Raishi, quickly jumped off the pillar, and lifted the boy up and was shocked to see that his eyes were still open, and his heart beating, yet he was pretty much lifeless. This is just like with that Nara kid from before.... Raishi thought to himself. The same type of thing had happened to a past student of his, in the middle of a spar between him and the entire team. He had frozen up just like Logan now, right in the middle of Raishi's toxic volcanic ash cloud. I'll have to get him checked...but what will I do with Alexis? Raishi thought to himself quickly. Then came an idea. With a quick handseal, a clone appeared beside him in a poof of smoke, and that clone jumped up to the pillar as Raishi carried Logan towards the village hospital. The clone would then take a battle stance, before proceeding to speak to Alexis.

"I have to take Logan to the village hospital, as he's shown some symptoms that I've seen before; the freezing up, his sudden lifelessness and loss of interaction with  and awareness of life around him. So instead,  I've left this clone to be your opponent instead till I return. The rules of the test remain the same, as if you fail, you won't be my student either, so try your hardest. This won't be nearly as easy as your match with Logan, so I will give you the chance to start first. Begin."

Alexis knew the weakness of the basic Jutsu that she learned to pass and graduate from the academy. She only hoped it would trick him for a moment, but something was odd. This was just a test to see how fast he can react, but.....to her surprise, he was not moving was he still with us? Was Alexis really going to win this easy? No, it couldn't be he was going to move he was just waiting until the last moment to dodge and attack her, so she would let her guard down. Then he falls off the rocks into the water below "Really, it was that easy? I didn't think that would end him, I thought he would try and dodge and attack with his own Jutsu, but this was just boring." Alexis wanted to win, but that was too easy. As she crossed her arms on the opposite side of her sleeves. Standing formal again.

As she waited her teacher made his own clone meeting Alexis upon the rocks. "Okay, as you wish, but I think it's just stage fright." Alexis would think to knock him off that is just too hard it would take much time and many Jutsu, but clones have one weakness, one strong hit on it would give Alexis the win with him going up in smoke. She didn't wish to use her chakra on something stupid, as her hands moved out from her sleeves fast using the same Jutsu as before. "Earth Release: Earth Flow River." The same river that pushed Logan off from where her teacher was standing came towards him.

She would wait to see keeping her eye's on him. Having a strong feeling he would not have stage fright like Logan who she just pushed off from the rocks. This was a man who has mastered many of his own Jutsu, truth was it was only a clone, but he still had the knowledge of the person that created him.
