Mission Details:

Karumo sat leaned against the village gates for the time, cigar puffed away, it was five minutes until it was time for them to convene. It wasn't often that he would go on missions for himself, but in matters where wealthy businessman were paying a lot of money and requesting help with a ransom against some more notorious gangsters, well... Karumo could find ways to spare time to smoke so why not missions? It was sort of un-impressioned in his mind, how long it had been since his last mission as he waited there, he had no sense of nervousness about him but the thought began to burrow it's way in.

His uniform was the standard grey ANBU uniform he'd had and carried with him for so long, black long sleeve shirt and black pants under the padding. The only unique differences were that his right shoulder blade carried the symbol of the Oracles, from when he was the division captain, and on the upper right corner of the chest plate, his clan symbol was painted on. Kunai holster to his right thigh like it always was and his pouch on his waist and shifted slightly behind him. In his right hand burned still the cigar and in his left, that black pocket watch he carried around so often, it's time was... ten minutes to the hour. Almost 9 am. The village was roaring into life and he stood at the gate, waiting for the squad he'd selected to join in. The letter he'd sent to the three to fill in the squad, would be simple and to the point, sent out late last night by the communication corps, it would read as such,

Guest,

There is an urgent mission needing be undertaken in the morning, you have been selected specifically for your individual skills. Please meet Lord Tsuchikage at the village gate at 9 am and no later fully prepared for a mission, you will be briefed en route, please arrive with haste~

The letter would cut off and leave them to wonder, Karumo had spent the day before negotiating with a weak willed emissary, the terms of the boys release were dependent upon Karumo arriving at Rockhenge along with an exorbitant amount of money in tow. That money, would be stored in the black leather suitcase that leaned against Karumo's leg, the case actually empty, it would serve as their decoy. The village had no intention in letting any of them leave free men and if they didn't comply, death was a tragedy befallen many of the worst persons in the world.

Karumo's squad though, would be perfect for capturing and arresting the men. Yuurei, Jet. Selected as an unchallenged stealth specialist, if things went wrong, he would rely on her talents to sneak around to the boy and remove him from safety. Kanetsu, Raishi. A former mission partner of Karumo's, he'd proven himself very powerful on that mission so long ago when Karumo himself was but a special jounin still, another fan of encompassing ninjutsu it would have seemed. And last but not least, Kanetsu, Shigeki. A jounin returning to prowess, the Kanetsu bloodline would help Raishi and Karumo contain the criminals and control the territory of the battlefield. Furthermore, with his return, this mission would be a great test and let Karumo assess his skills more intimately than reading through reports. That and he would owe him a replacement hat, this would help in making up part of that loss, but only really in part.

Waking up this morning was quite difficult, the Kanetsu jounin groaning as he felt the familiar feeling of a pillow smacking into him and the chuckle of the man who he had spent the previous night with, as he had spent most of his nights this week. He seemed to be going out to the bars to play his twisted games less and less since he had returned to active duty as a shinobi, and it wasn't something that he was particularly upset about. He had been quite enjoying the time he was spending with Kensai, but he could certainly do without the early morning wakeups, especially when they weren't the fun kind. "Damnit Kensai, why do you always have to do this in the middle of my good dreams? I was having the one where you f-" His voice trailed off, and Kensai started to laugh. Shigeki blushed slightly. Of course he knew what he was going to say, the dream was fairly consistent and he had finally decided to tell Kensai about it fairly recently. The two of them had a good laugh about it, and much to Shigeki's surprise, Kensai didn't insist that he stop his evenings out, though they had been slowing down for sure. He shook his head and sat up in the bed, catching the pants as they were thrown at him and sliding them on. "Why are you waking me up anyway?"

"You got a message from the Tsuchikage's office, seems like it's pretty important. He wants you there at nine, which means you need to get your ass out of bed, like, now and get ready to go out there. You have...twenty minutes." Shigeki rubbed his eyes, not quite catching that at first until it sunk in, at which point he jumped out of bed.

"Jesus Kensai, you couldn't have woken me up a little bit earlier?" He frantically put his black mesh shirt on and started assembling the other accessories that he always wore, the collar, the wristbands, the gloves and his black knee length overcoat.

"Aww but Shika, you're so cute when you're sleeping. I didn't want to ruin the moment." Shigeki blushed harder and threw the pillow back at Kensai, missing and knocking something off of the dresser, hearing a smash on the ground. Of course he would break something, but he didn't have enough time to figure out what it was. He fought to get his knee high platform boots on and then ran out the door, grabbing an apple on the way and taking off as quickly as he could to where the letter instructed him to go. He managed to get there surprisingly quickly, noticing that Karumo was the only one who was standing at the gates waiting. He couldn't believe that he had beat everyone else there, but he was glad that he had. The two of them had had a bit of a mishap when they had first met, the Tsuchikage destroying Shigeki's favourite pair of headphones, which of course had been a lot of money, as well as his own kage hat for some strange reason that Shigeki didn't understand. It lead to an interesting situation after, but they figured it all out in the end. Shigeki kind of liked this guy, and he was looking forward to getting to work with him. He was curious to see if it would just be the two of them, or if they would have help, and if they did who it would be.

"Oi, Tsuchikage!" He yelled out, waving at Karumo. He wore a genuine smile on his face when he did this and chuckled softly. He was somewhat out of breath, but he tried not to let it show, quickly closing the gap between the two of them. "Your letter seemed important. Is it just the two of us? What are we going to be doing?" He was rifling off a lot of questions in a short amount of time and he stopped himself. He still wasn't good at the whole social thing, and he stopped and apologized for talking so much as he waited for either the man to respond, or for more people to show up...

Reading the letter a carrier raven sent to her, Jester grinned. Jet was asleep right now after last night which was pretty crazy and decided to hit the hay leaving her defenses quite low. Lucky! Jester took the chance straight away. I mean why would we not when the oppurtunity is right there! Fresh blood, fresh body, same ways. Ripe for the taking! hehe, of course we made sure to carry Jet off somewhere else so she would not wake up immedately and we even got the others tied up at the moment with out things! We are one coool cat hehe!. Well let us get this show on the road! NEXT STOP, KARU TOWN! Jester grinned as she pulled some invisible horn and got dressed. She pulled off yesterday's clothes she slept in and took a quick shower. As she was getting dressed in the mirror, putting her headband around her neck and mask on her face, her eyes wandered to that old scar around her neck. For once her mind was silent and she simply stared as if time slowed down however she managed to blink a couple times and snap out of it effectively getting back to her task. She equipped her combat gloves and attachments as well as basic gear. Kira her beloved two tailed nekomata went ahead and reminded Jet to grab her sword which she stuck to her back. It would be weird to see but it would better than wasting chakra later to unseal it. Plus! IT WOULD BE BADASS IF ANYONE SAW IT. Jester giggled into her hand and took off with Kira on her shoulder. Once there in practically a flash, Jet simply snuck up on Karumo from behind and made gun shot sounds that were so realistic you would have thought they were real "Bang Bang, Karu-chan could have been dead!" Jester grinned wickedly behind her mask and her eyes lit up as they saw Shigeki. Elated, Jester jumped up and waved her hand frankily "HIIIII GEKO!"

"..Raishi.."

A voice unlike any other called to the man. It was dark all around, a consuming darkness that rendered almost all senses null and void. Yet, this voice pierced through the void, yanking at Raishi's very essence with each syllable. Despite all his years of vivid dreams, this voice had never appeared in his subconscious, neither had any a voice affected him in such a unique way as this one did. It came from an undeterminable distance, calling to Raishi with a voice that emanated coolness, calmness and collection. The somewhat masculine voice continued on, calling out to Raishi in the same ominous way whilst he continued to float in the void space of his consciousness. It didn't take long before he found himself speeding towards the sound of the voice with a strong sense of curiosity driving him forwards. Like other times, the man knew that he was about to unlock some new plane of his subconscious, leading to a plethora of long forgotten memories and experiences, and this both excited and terrified the man. even in this somewhat ethereal state, he could still feel an inexplicable pain for what was to come.

Now speeding towards the beginning of his episodic memories, Raishi began to envision a face...

"Sir, there is a letter here for you from the Kage."

Damn Raishi thought. Just at the moment when he was about to gain some new insight about his past, his light slumber just had to be disturbed by the loud knocking at the door. Once he'd subconsciously heard the knock, he'd instinctively raised his head from his desk, thereby ending his slumber. That would have to wait till some other time... he thought to himself as he wiped his eyes and yawned a bit, before taking in the letter from the messenger. He read through its contents carefully, each word after the other causing him to be more and more awake. He was to go on a mission with the Kage himself, needing to meet him at village gates at 9am. Raishi glanced lazily at his clock, and upon realising he had a few minutes till 9, he jumped up and dressed up in a haste. He had on his usual black shinobi trousers, black sandals, a white long sleeve top with the Kanetsu clan symbol on the right shoulder, and a burgundy coloured Iwagakure forehead protector tied on his head. He checked to make sure all his projectile weapons where in their respective pouches, before dashing out of the Kanetsu volcano.

Lucky for Raishi, since the volcano was already outside the village itself, it was quite a short distance to the village's gates itself, so it took him no time to reach his destination on time. As he approached he noticed 2 others besides Karumo, one he recognised as Shigeki, who he had met not too long ago, but another he didn't really recognise....

"Sorry I'm late"

He called out to the group as he approached, an apologetic smile on his face. Being as he hadn't seen Karumo in a while since their last mission together, Raishi couldn't help but notice how different he looked. It wasn't an inherent physical difference per se, there was just some inexplicable difference Raishi couldn't quite put his finger on. Perhaps it's the fact that he's Kage.... he thought to himself. He nodded at both Shigeki and the female with a smile. There was something about the woman too that seemed strange. Almost as if, he'd known her.

Karumo paused a moment, another long inhalation of the cigar, the smell filled the air around him with the tinge of forestry burning and lingering around him. Shigeki was the first to arrive, "Oi, Tsuchikage!" the words rang out and Karumo's eyes dragged upward and brought his head up too, he raised an arm up to wave in return as Shigeki closed the gap to Karumo. "Your letter seemed important. Is it just the two of us? What are we going to be doing?" Karumo nodded and brought the cigar down as he spoke up, "No, we have two more coming along today, they should be here any minute so I'll explain the mission when they arrive..." Karumo would pause and let him digest that much. He supposed he could question it or wonder on about their mission but Karumo would stay silent until the next happening.

That next happening came a few moments later when Jet displayed her own prowess in a bit of, eccentric behavior he'd never seen, approaching completely silent from behind, "Bang Bang, Karu-chan could have been dead!" Karumo turned his head quickly to the left with widened eyes to discover Jet turning from behind him. Her attention immediately turned to Shigeki with a huge grin and she yelled out, completely disparate of the personality he'd known from Jet. Karumo exhaled in a bit of a sigh, "Good Morning Jet, good to see you so... awake?" he paused for a moment and tilted his head, wondering if that was the right choice of words. Well... of course they weren't, but without implying offense or beating around the bush any more than he intended to, they would work just fine.

The last of their squad arrived not long after, cutting it close to just after the deadline he'd set, "Sorry I'm late" Karumo stood off the wall, the cigar in his hand was mostly gone so he crushed the end of it and let it fall to the ground in the grass next to him. "And last but not least..." he smirked with a slight chuckle and looked at his group. On paper they had a nice set of skills, but taking a look at them all directly, they seemed a bit... rag-tag in some sense and far more specialized.

"Right then," Karumo began and rotated his right shoulder to stretch it out some, "We don't have much time to waste so I'll explain en route to Rockhenge." he paused and began to take a few steps past them and towards the gate, he had a lot to cover and thankfully, their trip would be no small endeavor around the village. Once out of the gate and on the path to Rockhenge, Karumo would pick up the pace, testing the water slowly to find a comfortable speed for the whole group, taking point himself he would begin to explain. "So first off, the mission we're going on, it's being classified as S rank, you've all been selected because of your unique skills," his eyes glanced towards Jet, "To test your abilities back in the field," then shifting towards Shigeki, "And because of your reputations..." he rotated his head to Raishi finally.

"The son of a prominent businessman has been taken hostage... some owner of that restaurant that's been cropping up all over, regardless, the bandits reached out and set a time, allegedly they'll have him at Rockhenge and will exchange him for this briefcase, allegedly full of cash for them..." he paused and raised his hand a bit. "Spoiler alert: There isn't any cash in here. So... that's where we come in. Our job will be to secure the boy and then eliminate the thugs who kidnapped him. The village isn't the type to play with the whims of criminals and terrorists so we're aiming to set an example." Karumo spoke on and let his eyes wander back ahead of him, now bringing the group to a full run.

"So we have a little under an hour to arrive, I'll play the decoy and I want you all to back me up. Jet, your stealth will come in handy, I want you to find the boy and keep him safe, you should be able to move around almost completely undetected. From what we know, he's young, only 6 years old or so, with brown hair and quite easily frightened. Raishi and Shigeki, your lava style will be great for controlling large crowds and keeping the situation under control, we'll deal with any bandits or hostile enemy while Jet secures him, then we clean up..." he ended his explanation a bit cryptically, though it should have been easily understood what he meant. "I'll have all of you wait behind and stay hidden while I approach, I'll raise my hand and drop it as a signal for everyone to move in..." he demonstrated by holding his right hand upwards, elbow bent at a 90 degree angle, and then let it fall to his waist as he continued on. "Any questions?"

He'd have a little time to address their concerns and questions en route, otherwise, it wouldn't be long before they arrived at Rockhenge and would begin their setting up.

Well it seemed  like the rest were streaming in. Karumo told him that there would be a couple more, and they were both people he had met. The first was...well an interesting case to say the least. He had met them? previously when he had been summoned to help with some recon. It seemed that they were up something, as they ran in and pointed a finger gun at Karumo, exclaiming that he would be dead. Shigeki bit his tongue, nearly attacking the person outright but stopping when he realised it was some kind of sick joke. He wanted to protect his Kage, but how do you protect your kage against the people who are supposed to protect him? He looked again and saw Raishi coming towards them, apologizing for being late, and that was when Karumo explained why they were there.

He told them that they were going on an S Rank mission and that they had been chosen for various different reasons, looking towards Shigeki when he mentioned testing their abilities back in the field. He nodded, biting down on his bottom lip and wringing his hands together. They were on their way to Rockhenge because some restaurant tycoon had been kidnapped, and they were supposed to take a briefcase to the bandits in exchange for his life. The briefcase, of course, had no money in it. It would simply serve as a distraction to get the task force close enough to save the man. They were expected to rescue the boy and deal with the bandits.

When it was brought up that the Kanetsu boys would be doing crowd control Shigeki nearly laughed out loud. Sure, he was a Kanetsu, sure he was able to use Yoton, but he wasn't really any good with Ninjutsu. He could maybe get a handful of them trapped in genjutsu and slit their throats, but he didn't think that it would be overly likely he'd be as useful as the older Kanetsu in this situation. "You know, Karumo, I'm really only good for Genjutsu. I don't think that I'm going to be that helpful for crowd control..." His voice trailed off as he looked around, wondering if the other were feeling any uncertainty themselves. He would do all that he could to ensure that the mission was a success, of course, but he was still quite nervous about it. His eyes dropped to his shoes as he walked nervously.

"No matter what, I'll do my best..."

Turning her attention towards her unbearably unreliable kage, Jester put her hands in a sign of a prayer and breathed deeply, praying to the sky “Stay woke Karu-chan, Stay woke" She added after a moment with an ominous tone in her voice "Jet is taking an L right now”

At the sight of Raishi Kanetsu their former one time only sensei of many a time ago, Jester perked up and went to pounce on him, like a predator and prey in the heat, just less heat and more platonic excitement because she really really cannot take the man seriously after that pathetic display years ago with the sabaku and nara teammates of her. Dude was against three mere genin, one who was an official headcase, another who was practically on his death bed, and some violent wind sandy chick who was salty as hell. Some how for some reason they won that spar. Dunno how. He was likely taking it easy on them. But the fact they got a hit on him, unintentionally doing a combination jutsu and totally burning the shit out of his arm, still blows her goddamn mind. Still it was nice to see him. Jester can appreciate what he did for Jet when she was really screwed up awhile back. He killed the assassins after her and got her some help. Currently out of everyone, he has actually been of use to Jet sides Karumo. Karumo is a terrible kage and does not really do much for his people.“SENSEI! Wassup! Jester has not seen you in years! How is the arm? Still fucked?”

“Rockhenge? Is it another one of those cult freaks? It better not be! CAUSE JESTER SWEARS TO JASHIN IF IT IS ANOTHER UNDEAD MOTHERFUCKING WE WILL CUT A BITCH”

“Seriously, if you had to deal with the shit Jester did, you all would be thinking twice about them looks ya be giving us. They were creepy as fuck and ugly as hell. Most of Iwa can relate”

“So basically some stupid brat of a rich dude got his ass caught where it should not be and is being treated like a bitch. And the pimp daddies want money in exchange for the goods. And you are going to walk in, cool as ice, case in hand, telling them you got that cash money. He is going to be aight, give it to me. You are going to back up like nah man I do not roll that way. It will be awkward. His feelings will be hurt. His butt will be sad but he will move on. He is an attractive man. He knows that. There are other hot links out there. He is going to be cool. Really cool about it. But karu-baby, you hurt him. You walked up in there, looking fine as hell, slim not thick with ya cute ass. You just want the boy. Some brat. He ain’t even worth that much. He can not do what Pimp Daddy can. Pimp Daddy is love. Pimp Daddy is life. Fuck boi 101”

“So what you are sayin….get in and get out. Aight. Ain’t gonna say we gonna like it. Fucking hate brats. But we got you homie. We got you”

At the sight of Raishi, the strange woman whom he hadn't recognised made to pounce on Raishi. Of course, he couldn't do anything but to stand in shock, taken aback by the woman's apparent lack of decency. As he had approached, it was clear that she had recognised him, as she'd perked up before she pounced, and he was sure that he'd seen that face somewhere, but the root of her strange familiarity was lost on him.

"SENSEI! Wassup! Jester has not seen you in years! How is the arm? Still fucked?

Oh.... Raishi thought to himself casually. He still didn't really remember that much about her, but how could he forget the day he had his arm burnt by Genin. He'd had to spend a few days at the hospital to get it healed, and even then, he could still feel the sting for the next few weeks every time he'd made use of that arm. It wasn't that the pain was unbearable, no, it was more an issue of having the inconvenience of having to go to the hospital, and the annoying itchiness he'd felt for weeks afterwards. Looking at the girl, Raishi couldn't help but be amazed by just how much time had passed since then. Here she was, a previous member of one of his many one time teams, and she seemed to be the only one of anybody he'd taught that actually made it to some status in the village. No thanks to me... he thought to himself jokingly. He smiled at the strange girl with a smile, stretching out his left arm as if to let her know that it was brand as new. Then Karumo began walking and briefing the group about the mission. At that, Raishi followed the Kage, listening attentively to the mission details on hand.

As Karumo spoke, Raishi made mental notes of the briefing, making sure to highlight the most important bits: Hostage situation...bandits in Rockhenge...faux exchange...retrieve the boy...eliminate the bandits. The mission seemed simple enough, Although Raishi couldn't imagine how exactly they would work out their plan of action. He hadn't really fought in a proper team before, as he'd spent most of his years as a lone wolf, and taking almost exclusively solo missions, so he wasn't sure if he would work well in a team. Especially this team that seemed to have such distinctive characters. Well, that wasn't particularly true. He'd gone on a mission with Karumo once before, and one other Medic, and that had been a success, but it was also a low ranking mission; a mere B ranked one. not one with such high stakes as an S ranked mission. Though, he couldn't help but recognise the similarities between that mission and this one...

".... Jet, your stealth will come in handy, I want you to find the boy and keep him safe, you should be able to move around almost completely undetected. From what we know, he's young, only 6 years old or so, with brown hair and quite easily frightened. Raishi and Shigeki, your lava style will be great for controlling large crowds and keeping the situation under control, we'll deal with any bandits or hostile enemy while Jet secures him, then we clean up..."

Ah I remember now. Yuurei, Jet... he thought to himself as he heard the name being mentioned. The group were nearing Rockhenge now, charging full steam ahead towards their mission objective, but it still felt like they didn't really have a solid plan. Well, they had the foundations of a plan, but perhaps that's all they really needed. They were all seasoned shinobi after all, so they would be expected to deliver in their duties without being explicitly told what was what. Raishi just hoped that they were all on the same page.

Now done with the briefing, Karumo opened the floor to any questions and Shigeki quickly stated that he would not be able to fulfill the role of crowd control since Genjutsu was his specialisation, but he would still try his best. So it's up to me then... Raishi thought to himself. As Shigeki spoke, his voice trailed off and he looked at Raishi, as if to question if he was feeling any uncertainty himself. Raishi merely returned his gaze with a nod and a reassuring smile. Although he didn't particularly have an extensive array of jutsu, Raishi knew that he would manage. It all really depended upon the spread of their targets, and how exactly they would be attacking.

Jet also took the stage, her words an absurd amalgam of confusion, that Raishi could not even be bothered to understand. All he got from what she was saying, was that she was going over what they were to do in her own strange words. Was she always like this... he asked himself curiously. Of course, since he'd only had a session with her team once, he never actually spoke to her properly. Even that one time where he'd saved her from mysterious assailants. So it was possible that she was always like this, and he'd never realised. Wow... he thought to himself. She seemed to be a handful, but still, she was skilled. Why else would she be with them on this mission? I wonder what she's capable of now... he thought. As she finished speaking, Raishi took the floor.

"Perhaps I could add an aerial element to our plan. I have a stealth technique in my arsenal which may not be as strong as those of the Yuurei, but strong enough to hide in sight. That, coupled with my Light-Weight Rock Technique, I could wait in the air unbeknownst to the bandits, before raining down hell on your signal. That way, we're attacking from different fronts. Although, the boy would have to be well out of my way for obvious reasons"

Karumo ended his rant and left it open for questions and comments, the first coming from Shigeki, worry about his own skill and ability related to Karumo's own plan. Karumo hesitated for a second as Shigeki reassured himself, Karumo smiled and nodded at the sentiment. "Don't worry, the crowd control isn't to take care of everyone all at once, but divide them up to escape and handle them in bunches in the case of emergency. Hopefully there won't be that many of these bandits to deal with anyways..." It was true he knew of Shigeki's concern and kinda figured it would exist anyways, bringing him back on active duty and throwing him into the squad for an S rank mission was a highly calculated (ignore the calculations albeit) risk to take for his re-acclimation into the Iwa ranks.

Next though, came a rather odd and broken rant with vernacular that both confused, concerned, and caused him a bit of a mental contusion. Karumo sighed, she seemed confident about her abilities to say the least, but this side of Jet was... concerning. It worried him that she may or may not be taking this as seriously as she should, but would a lecture or warning help here? He figured not, Jet knew what she had to do, worst case scenario, it meant that Karumo might have to be covering for both Shigeki and whatever nonsense that Jet might come up. He responded anyways after his sigh, "Well... not caught out somewhere, he was kidnapped. Don't think it's a victim-less crime or anything, and we're being paid a lot of money to handle this, as well as putting down high tier and notorious criminals, don't think of this lightly..." Karumo's words were stern, not meant to worry them or put them in a light of fear, but to motivate their cause and turn their minds to the mission itself. They could talk and say ridiculous things when everything was said and done.

The last was Raishi, he'd been cool and collected since he'd arrived, rather quiet spoken as Karumo remembered him, or maybe it was just that Karumo didn't know him outside of those missions they'd been on. His addendum to the plan was a nice addition but Karumo would add his own concern, "Right, multiple angles will be good, but wait til I give the signal to move and the boy is away absolutely." he nodded along again.

"There should be stones and other structures all around, so take cover there and wait, Jet..." he paused and turned to her next, "I want you to work yourself into position once we get there but once you're set, wait for the signal as well, then we'll move in quickly." he finished off, the final bit to his plan, from there, it would be up to the group to move and improvise the situation and take care of things.

Soon, the group would be arriving on Rockhenge, Karumo would motion for them to scatter and setup as he would quietly and slowly move by himself down a path leading up to the center of Rockhenge.

After he spoke, Shigeki turned his head as "Jester" began to speak. He didn't like this person, they seemed to be completely fucked in the head, absolutely different from how the person he had met recently acted. He felt the still somewhat odd presence of the Hidden Blade under his coat, thumbing the control that would cause the blade to spring into life in preparation for if he had to attack this person. She seemed...really really crazy? It was as though the calm collected ANBU agent he had met was gone, and in her place was some kind of Psychopath. Shigeki knew that in the future he would have to watch out for this person. He thought there was a chance she might try to stab him in the back just for fun. He heard her rant, swearing to Jashin, threatening to cut people, talking about her past and then ranting about how they should deal with these people...and who the fuck was Pimp Daddy?

"I'm sorry, am I the only one who thinks this chick is fucking nuts?" His voice wasn't loud but was fairly stern, listening to Karumo's somewhat dismissive answer to her. "Okay, apparently I am... Well that's not concerning...not at all." Shigeki kept the idea in the back of his mind that he might have to stab a bitch, and it was probably not going to be the enemy. He frowned as he turned towards Raishi, who at least made some sense when he spoke. He discussed using stealth and then...wait, why would the boy have to be careful? Was he planning on flooding the field with lava? That seemed like a pretty stupid idea. They were here for a snatch and grab, not an all out war, and if the other Kanetsu thought that turning the playing field into a volcano was a good idea he simply didn't understand the phrase "Don't harm the boy." Shigeki shook his head, apparently he was the only one with any common sense in this group.

Shigeki himself had ideas for what he could do, a few choice genjutsus that were able to spread confusion among the ranks of the enemy. If he could trap a handful of them with his Rage Virus genjutsu, he could have those ones attack their own allies and start to kill one another. This plan wouldn't work, of course, if someone started drowning the field in lava, but it would be a great way to cause in fighting if they didn't. Shigeki had several other jutsus that would be useful for this situation, but it seemed that this wasn't the most conductive group to use those in. HE would simply have to try to separate some from the rest of the group and work on them that way.

Karumo instructed them on how to get into position and Shigeki nodded, well he had some sense. It was a good thing that Shigeki was working towards being a tactical adviser, because he was pretty sure that out of the four of them, he was the only one who had the ability of foresight. As the four of them approached Rockhenge, Shigeki made his way into a place where he was hidden, but still able to see his targets. There were several bandits there, and he wanted to be able to pick on about five of them at the most. He watched to see Karumo's approach so that he would be ready to begin putting his own plan into effect...

Now on this mission, Jester was thinking their target of interest was someone in their teens who was not the most aware person in the world, a bit snobbish and so forth. The kind you see in every rich kid that tries to be nobility. However when she began to digest the information Karumo provided she realized that she was very very wrong. And as much as she was tempted to run up to Shigeki and break his legs for his cheeky comment about her cause like seriously, everyone and their mother in iwa knows Jester and the group are off their rockers. They have good work ethic and have never failed a mission (that is subjective because quite a few folks will say otherwise with the repercussions of her actions were more than once) so the question of her sanity was left alone as long as she earned her pay and remained loyal to Iwa though of course some of have forgotten since they have not meet Jester in their full capacity like her former one time sensei nor was she in control of the times that Jet meet Karumo who only knew her by her professional exterior. Perhaps the fact they did not react as poorly as Shigeki did was because they trusted her? It was very likely that was not the case but hey a girl can dream you know.

Now actually most of her attention was now focused on the child before her. The group stopped some distance away from the meet up place to see a group of twenty or so bandits all armed with either a katana, a scythe, or war hammer with what she assumed the child tied up at a stake sitting in the center of the Rockhenge formation. It was exactly as Karumo described, a young six year old boy with brown hair that was terrified out of his wits with silent tears streaming down his cheeks. Why on earth was he terrified? He should know his father would not let him die. His father will pay whatever amount of money to get his child rescued. His father loved and cared for the twerp. Jester would bet this is the first time something actually scary happened to him, the first time he ever felt a dose of suffering. He was innocent, pure. Probably never seen something like this in his life nor was he meant to. However some of Iwa's best has been gathered to save him and bring him home. He will be returned to his family and will forget the whole encounter after a couple weeks, going back to his happy carefree lifestyle unlike her. She did not have the same luck as him. She was shown from a very young age the cruelty of the world and what it meant her. She was never saved but rather betrayed by her father, a man who never gave a damn about her. Who left her to suffer! Why was his life going to be so different from her! Jester felt her hands clench to the point her fingernails almost cut into her palm and make them bleed. Her grin turned wicked, threatening to cut her cheek. Her voice suddenly hardened, and became a bit coarse, a bit feral. "You know, we were thinking. Jester hates brats sooo how about y'all just let us rip his fucking hea-"

She wanted to say fuck the mission, go in and rip the kid apart. Or better yet, let the bandits rip him apart in from of Karumo's very eyes. She bet she never seen something so vicious since pretty boy never saw something life that. However something stopped her. Something very very familiar she was not accounting for. Her control over their body was being contest but by whom? Jet was out for at least a little longer....it was that brat Jetsuda. Why the fuck was she interfering! The twerp detests violence and shinobi so she would usually never show her face around others. How dare she interfere! HOW DARE SHE! Jester growled to an invisible entity."What? The fuck? Stop it! Do you know how fucking long it has be-"

Jester suddenly went quiet, going slack before perking up again though the entire aura around her changed. Instead of Jet's professional mature womanly voice or Jester childish vicious one, a soft spoken, almost demure voice parted from her lips. Jetsuda made her first outward appearance in years. Gone was the craze from her eyes, instead they had a more respect, perhaps fearful look to them. Jetsuda spoke awkwardly, testing out her voice as if she had not spoken in years "I am sorry about that...the others can be bit of a handful" She apologized to everyone about her behavior as she felt very intimidated. Scared really. Her heart trembled being around so many...so many shinobi. But as much as she would love to cry and run back to her safe space in the depth's of their mindscape, Jet was still out of commission, at least for a little bit, and she refused to let Jester screw everything up. Jetsuda did not want to be thrown in a cage ever again. So, she decided to step up to the plate and be brave, or at least pretend to be. Once Karumo gave the signal or what she assumed to be it, Jetsuda would activate Ghost Style: Art of the Unseen and bent the light around her in order to turn herself and the items she held invisible to the naked eye. She camouflage perfectly with the background along and disappeared from view. Only with her voice could you know where she was."Umm I am just...going to go get him...and yea...one moment"

Exiting the awkward atmosphere she created, Jetsuda prayed for the best and went down to the Rockenge. Not a shadow was cast nor a single footstep was heard. Carefuly, reminiscent of her street rat days, she sneaked past all the men and got to the stake where the child was. The poor poor child. It was unfortunate he got caught up in this. Nonetheless she refused to let any harm come to him. She placed her hand on his throat, preventing him from screaming and knelt down, whispering to his ear"Shuush, do not make a sound. I am not going to hurt you. My friends and I were sent by your father to rescue you. You want to go home right?" The child nodded his head and Jetsuda took her hand off his mouth.

"Good, then we got to work fast. Close your eyes and do not make a sound. We will get you out of here okay" The child's breathing evened and Jetsuda thanked the bandits for not turning around once except a few times. Now, to get him out of here. Jetsuda wanted to take a kunai out to cut the rope however an unfortunate drawback of her ability to turn invisible would it would break for a moment, and she will be visible to all which was not possible right now. If these were weaker enemies then it would not be too much of a concern as she could simply kill them all and get out. This time she could not do whatever she wanted. She was taking a team assignment, something she was not used to nor known for as she worked better alone. Mentally groaning as she realized the predicament, she loosen the straps of her anbu armor vest, and untied the rope with skillful hands before quickly stuffing the oddly small child in her vest, covering his head and legs with her arms letting him be cloaked in her invisibility and quickly running away to the hill where the group was. She prayed none of them had a chakra sensory jutsu on because the child cannot benefit from her passive chakra stealth!

"Right, multiple angles will be good, but wait till I give the signal to move and the boy is away absolutely."

At this, Raishi merely nodded firmly. It was a fairly straightforward addition to their already somewhat comprehensive plan, one which could prove to be very effective, but it's effectiveness solely depended on Jet. Catching a quick glimpse at Jet, Raishi hoped that she would be able to quickly and safely play her part in the plan, as it was imperative that the boy needed to have already been extracted from the midst of the robbers. They wouldn't want the boy to have as much as a scratch on his delicate body, talk less of being dead. Not only for the sake of their pay, as Karumo had mentioned that his father was paying handsomely for his son's safe arrival, but also because Raishi couldn't stand the thought of accidentally causing harm to an innocent. It would show, a total lack of control and discipline on his part, a primordial value for every successful shinobi. Perhaps that's why Shigeki was frowning at me... he thought to himself. Indeed, when Raishi had started talking about his added aerial aspect of their attack, Shigeki frowned as he'd listened, seemingly in disagreement. Raishi wasn't fully sure, as his comrade's frown could also be due to Jet's prior shows of madness, but he imagined that, to Shigeki, who possessed a high enough mental capacity and control to specialise in Genjutsu, it looked as if he just wanted to drown the entirety of Rockhenge in lava, a show of control, or rather, a lack thereof. But this wasn't what Raishi was going for at all. As the group continued on their way to their mission destination, he thought of Jet, and the likelihood of her keeping it together long enough for her to succeed in her role. She's a Yuurei after all, he thought reassuringly, So this should be a piece of cake for her.

As the Iwa nin neared their destination, the Tsuchikage proceeded to motion for the rest of the party to scatter and set up their respective positions, whilst he quietly and slowly moved by himself down the main path leading up to the center of Rockhenge. From where they were, the could make out their opponents in the distance. There the boy was, tied to a stake like some animal in the midst of the bandits like some sacrifice. There were quite a number of enemies, over a dozen. Shigeki made his way into his position, and Raishi was just about to take his position as well, when Jet started her rambling. It was almost scary really, as she was first going on about taking the child out, her voice sinister as it was cold, and he was concerned that Jet would end up being a problem, not just for this mission, but as a shinobi of Iwagakure as a whole, as this was a show of a total lack of self control. Amazingly, she then shouted at some unseen force to cease whatever they were doing, before she paused and began speaking again. As she spoke this time, she seemed to be a totally different person; her voice was different not so much in its sound, but more the way in which she spoke, and the actual delivery of her voice. And her aura just, changed, her face softer than it was, and she seemed somewhat timid.

"I am sorry about that...the others can be bit of a handful"

It was then that Raishi realised something he should have picked up a long time ago; Jet had multiple personalities. It was why she always referred to herself as 'we', and also in the third person. It was no wonder he couldn't really remember her being so loud and vulgar because back then in their training session, it was actually 'Jet' he knew, but this time, he had been witnessing someone totally different, 'Jester'. So it's Jester the village has to worry about... he thought to himself calmly. Before he could say anything, she disappeared in a heartbeat, no less due to her activation of her stealth jutsu. He knew that she was on her way to retrieve the boy, so then, Raishi jumped in the air, activating his Light-Weight Rock Technique before then cloaking himself as well. It was no time before he was about 30m above the bandits, unseen by all. He was right above the stake the boy was tied to, in the very center of Rockhenge. Here, he could see all; he counted the bandits, noting that there were exactly 10 of them, all arranged clumsily, facing towards the direction in which Karumo was approaching. It seemed that Jet, or whichever personality she had on currently, had arrived, as the boy's ropes were loosened and were on the ground, and he seemed to vanish into thin air, just like Jet had done. Realising this, Raishi would then look towards Karumo, preparing himself for the signal to attack.

After an eventful seemingly nervous breakdown and more concern from the others, matched equally if not greater by Karumo himself, things calmed down before they arrived, he had hoped at least. Whatever concern Shigeki himself had, he wouldn't be alone but as Jet seemed to calm down, he let it slide for now, knowing he'd have to keep everything together. Walking on the path, he would send the other three into position, letting Shigeki and Raishi find decent enough waiting positions as he approached, briefcase in hand, steadying his breathing as he focused. He knew Jet would start using her own skills to begin moving around the area to the child and begin freeing him, which meant it was up to Karumo to stall and then give the signal when all was clear.

An idea struck Karumo, a chance for a bit of subterfuge, he stopped before entering the area, hiding behind a pillar and looking around carefully, seemingly paused to make sure that no one other than his own squad could see his actions and hopefully catch a glimpse of his own plan. Forming the seal for a shadow clone, he produced a single one, nearly indistinguishable from himself, and handed the clone the suitcase with a nod as the real Karumo leaned back behind the post and leaned his ear forward as he waited to hear and experience what happened after.

As the false Karumo calmly and quietly broke the barrier of Rockhenge and came into view of everyone he looked around, finding three bandits in front of him. One with grey hair and a deep scar across his face stepped forward with a devilish grin creasing upward across his face as he laughed. "It's about time! And even the great Lord Tsuchikage himself came to be our delivery boy, how sweet!" he retorted out, the other two men obviously had their own reservations about taunting the supposedly strongest member of Iwagakure, but still, Karumo's face held blank as he dropped the suitcase and kicked it halfway the distance between them.

"Take your money, feel free to count it if you wish, I could care less..." his eyes flickered briefly to find Jet, well rather, the boys bindings being played with and starting to be released. The grey haired man began to walking forward and reached down to grab the case, slowly and pridefully, his grin never stopped. That was, until Karumo grabbed his kunai and dashed forward, finding himself with his legs separated and ready to move if he needed to. His right hand caught the man in a false headlock, kunai at his throat as he stood bent over like a bird pecking its beak into a lake. His left hand was free and held up towards the other two men who'd drawn their own katana against him. "If you or your men move, you die, understand?"

His words could only be heard between the three of them, not between the grouping that came crawling out of their various holes, surrounding Karumo and his hostage with their various weapons drawn. Swords, scythes, spears, and each of them looking as rugged and menacing as the last one. Karumo let his left hand hold back, hoping that none of his squad mistook his action as the actual signal, he raised his hand as Jet would begin to make away, watching her really play a dangerous game of stealth and detection with her acting as he stalled and distracted.

As the boy would slip away, hopefully quietly, Karumo would raise his left hand in the air, keeping the kunai at the man's throat still. Everyone else shifted about, tightening their grip as they watched what was about to happen. Karumo breathed out heavily, letting that silence fill the air for a brief moment, he let his hand fall, giving the actual signal to act, if they hadn't already done anything. As Karumo's hand would fall, he would quickly drag his kunai across the man's neck, letting the sanguine flow outwards from his kunai and then... it was violent. Karumo blew his clone sky high, having that one man so close, he would be dead almost immediately, the two closer men that started out, they would have their limbs broken and the concussive force knocking them back, the rest of the men, depending on how close they'd decided to move to him, might feel the same fate or rather be partially distracted by the force of wind from the explosion and the sudden uptick and kick of dirt and dust everywhere.

The signal had been given, Raishi and Shigeki would be moving in to act, hopefully aiming to restrain and keep the bandits within the area, Karumo wouldn't be satisfied with anything less than 20 bodies left at the scene. The real Karumo would emerge with his actual kunai drawn from his pouch, standing at the main entrance to the area and waiting for Raishi to attack from above or change his tactic, giving the chance for the dust to settle a little before moving in, trying to read the situation as he could.

There were a lot of them. Shigeki looked across the seemingly endless sea of bandits, gritting his teeth as he did. He thumbed the activation on his hidden blade, the comforting feeling of knowing he at least had something if people managed to get close to him made him happy. He saw as the Tsuchikage approached the lead bandit, the boy looking uncomfortable and then beginning to move away from the crowd. Shigeki watched them turn hostile on Karumo, pulling out all different kinds of weapons and turning them towards the leader of the village hidden in the stone. He then watched something that still shocked him; the body of the Tsuchikage exploding as it killed a few of the nearby bandits, causing the rest of them to start freaking out. He saw the signal and ran his tongue over his bottom lip, looking towards the bandits once again. He picked up a rock from the ground and tossed it towards a small group of them, gritting his teeth once more as he watched it sail through the air. It pelted one of the bandit's in the head, not doing any damage, but causing several of them to look towards him.

"O-over here!" His voice was a little bit faint, having a difficult time drawing people towards him as he wasn't much of a combatant, though he had a few tricks up his sleeves. He threw a handful of feathers into the sky as they began coming towards him, a group of around eight of them coming to him. The feathers would trigger the jutsu on one of them, and as long as they were in close proximity of one another for several seconds it would spread to the rest. He could tell one of them was having difficulty focusing, clutching his hands to his head as several of the others with him stopped to make sure he was okay. Shigeki saw that three of them were still coming towards him and he ducked behind the place he had been previously hiding, his blade ready to deliver an attack if he had too. He focused chakra in his throat and mouth and spewed out quicklime, a clone of himself quickly appearing on the ground where he had done so. He tossed the clone a Kunai and shrunk against the wall, watching the clone go out to engage its enemies.

The clone met two of the would be attackers, going at them with the Kunai and swinging at the first one, the clone seemingly being uncomfortable with the weapon. In its other hand behind its back, it formed some hand signs and three small apple sized globs of lava would land at the feet of his opponents, hardening them instantly so that they would be stuck in that spot. The clone smiled before taking a punch in the stomach from one of them, the other easily pulling the Kunai from his hand before driving it through the clone's shoulder. The first one pulled out his sword, swinging it towards the clone, who was doubled over at this point, and connecting with its chest, impaling it as it turned into a pool of rubber at the feet of the two bandits. They wouldn't be going anywhere for a while.

Shigeki felt the clones destruction, looking around the corner and seeing the two bandits there good and trapped...wait, weren't there three of them? He looked around before feeling a wire wrapping around his throat and beginning to choke the air out of him, attempting to slice into his flesh. He could feel tears welling up in his eyes and his brain began to go into panic mode, his hands moving to wrap around the wire and legs beginning to flail as he would kick backwards. He felt his foot connect with the assailants knee, his hands loosening up a little bit as Shigeki thumbed on the hidden blade, shoving the blade into the man's chin and up into his brain, causing him to twitch violently before going limp. As he fell to the ground, Shigeki screamed out and stomped down on the man's head as hard as he could with his heavy boot, hot tears clouding his vision and running down his cheeks as he would scream out "DON'T TOUCH ME! DON'T TOUCH ME! DON'T TOUCH ME!" over and over again. His voice was hoarse and his knee hurt from the stomping motion, Shigeki himself not being very strong. He felt blood splattering all over his body and face, mixing in with the tears as he didn't even look down at the mush that had once been a head beneath his boot, his entire body shaking with anger and terror...

"You okay hun?" Jetsuda had ran back to where the team began where they first saw the bandits and made their plan. She got there, seeing the others leave and heard an explosion, glancing back only for a moment. Still, she had to focus on other things. She let out a breathe she did not realize she was holding and pulled the weeping child out her vest and only the ground. Seeing as she could not stay here the whole time, she knew she had to go back. The boy looked up at her, fearful and not wanting her to go. Jetsuda smiled warmly and tightened her vest and armor before bending down to his level, rubbing his soft fluffy hair."Don't worry, just close your eyes. I will leave a few clones with you who will protect you" Jet weaved the necessary hand signs and created two fire clones of her exact appearance. The said clones looked emotionally at the duo yet the boy was a bit comforted. Of course her mask was extremely frightening so Jetsuda opted to remove it. And although the boy knew it was a woman according to her voice, he did not expect her features. Unlike Jet or Jester, Jetsuda's eyes had a motherly warm to them, her smile was soft and comforting. She did not look her age but younger and more at peace. Not so chaotic and crazed as Jester nor as stoic and cold as Jet. Her gaze made him feel warm inside however the though that she was going to leave him alone made him start crying again.

Not wanting to see a child cry, Jetsuda whipped away his tears and looked at him, making sure he held his gaze with hers."Shuu shuu...it is going to be okay. Nobody is going to touch you. I will be right back okay. I just got to fight off the bad guys with my friends. As soon as I am done, we are heading back to the village and you will see your day. But in order for me to do that, I need you to do something for you. I need you to be brave. I know you can. I need you to be brave and trust me, trust my friends and I and stay right here. You got that? Can you do that for me?" When he hiccuped and dried the rest of his tears, he nodded making Jetsuda smile "Good boy" she told him before running off to join the others, leaving her clones to protect him.

'Okay, I got this. It will be okay. I will be fine. I-it is not me who is doing this. I am doing nothing wrong. Nothing bad is happening. Right now this is not me. This is Jet. There is no Jetsuda, only Jet. Jet is strong. She is powerful. She is not weak. She will do her job and protect her charge and her kage. So for now, we are Jet. We are one' Jetsuda breathed deeply to herself and assessed the battlefield. Karumo, Jet's kage, had taken out about three of the bandits, leaving the rest angry and discombobulated. Raishi was on standby, ready to run in which dude he really should do that right now. Shigeki threw a rock and some feathers, making them watch him carefully. Genjutsu they thought grimly. Oh how they hated the art but admired it just the same. Memories of a dream and her distant past haunted her. Genjutsu users, she hated them all yet respected them. The ability to bend the mind to their will and warp reality to take on any shape they so desire. The possibilities to entomb someone in their own head, slave to you and their body for your pleasure. Jetsuda and the others knew all to well of their capabilities. A shiver ran down their spine before they calmed their breathing. They had to calm down and think. Think of how they would proceed. Karumo took out three, Shigeki just captured another five in a genjutsu, three down...Jetsuda chose to ignore how he flipped out as Jet would not be concerned with that. She was not Jetsuda right now. She was Jet. And she had a job to do. So she put her two hands on the hilt of her sword, Mama's Punishment, a massive whip sword and it enveloped in flames. Time to exterminate some pests. Gone was the light her eyes and the warm of her smile. Her lips pressed into a thin line as an emotionless mask adored her face as she set to work. She ran in, and went towards Karumo. But to get to him, she had to cut down some people. Whilst it seemed they might be on even ground, her sword's reach gave her an edge as in a roar of flames and steal, she pushed a jounin with one clash, staggering him as the sword ''broke'' apart and cut through his neck before she spun on her heel, dodging a narrow strike at her head, and wrapped her sword around another's neck, slicing it off with a harsh tug as she knelt down and rolled back, narrowly dodging a war hammer as it almost crushed her leg. She hardly had time to breathe when she tried to get up, and was almost back down by another jounin who wield a katana. It was a stalement for a women until the heat radiating from the flames were about to burn him so he back off. Jetsuda took this as a chance and pushed forward, swinging her sword from the bottom left to the upper right, cutting across his torso and searing it with the flames. However this momentary victory as she felt metal slam into her back, eliciting a pained cry as she felt breaking on of her right side ribs. The armor she had on was helpful but it could only do so much.

Raishi watched on from the skies as Karumo came into view, approached a group of three men, one of which seemed to be the head of the bandits. They exchanged a few words which Raishi could not make out because of huis altitude, before Karumo swiftly held the man he had exchanged words with in a headlock. Is this the signal? Raishi thought, weaving a few handseals to prepare himself as he looked on and the remaining group were closing in on Kage. 17 men, excluding the 3 that he was directly facing, a majority wielding katanas whilst the others either scythes or warhammers. The atmosphere now tense with spurring conflict, Raishi watched on with keen eyes as Karumo lifted his hands in the air. Get ready... Raishi thought to himself. Finally, the signal came with Karumo quickly dropping his hands, and then the unexpected happened. The Tsuchikage first slit the throat of the man he was holding, then he exploded, causing an uptick of dust and dirt in the blast radius of 4 meters. All heads turned towards where the Kage had been in shock, and all seemed to freeze due to the confusion the explosion had caused. Suddenly, out he came once more from behind some pillars, kunai in hand. The Dynamic Doppelganger Explosion jutsu... Raishi thought, impressed. He didn't know of anyone else that knew that same technique.

After the explosion, Raishi expelled tw massive circular masses of lava, crashing them down at the crowd below. He place one right in the epicenter of Karumo's explosion, and another right next to it, thereby enveloping the remainings of the three people Karumo had managed to attack, as well as a handful others within range, who were not expecting to be attacked from above. After doing so, Raishi descended to the ground, watching as chaos ensued and the remaining gambits scrambled like ants. He had successfully managed to bury about quite a number of the bandits in lava, about 7 of them excluding Karumo's earlier victims, causing the ground to be quite steamy in conjuction with dust clouds, but he hoped that he hadn't hurt Jet in the process, who was carrying their mission objective. He looked around in the chaos, and noticed Shigeki some distance away from him, stomping away at what seemed to be the remains of one of the bandits. He seemed to be in a feat, stomping down uncontrollably, with blood splattering over his face and body whilst he screamed something inaudible to Raishi. Worried, Raishi was just about to approach his fellow clans man, when he noticed Jet being attacked by someone wielding a warhammer. She had already been hit, and was stumbling whilst the attacker went for another swing. Shit... Raishi thought as he began weaving quick handseals. In a matter of seconds, the large amount of earth next to Raishi took the shape of a the head of a giant dragon, and fired 10 balls of mud towards her assailant in quick succession. The assailant was flung meters away from Jet, landing on the ground fractured and unconscious due to the rate of fire and the speed of the earth bullets. He then looked around the chaotic battlefield, channeling lava chakra before forming 4 shuriken in each hand for any other opponents that would pop up.

Karumo stayed back for a moment to read out the enemy in the settling dust, Shigeki acted quickly and split off half the remaining group towards himself, a bold and dangerous move especially for someone so... unsure of their abilities going in. Jet had gotten the kid out, things were moving nicely, and Raishi, he was attacking from the sky with some fury, the lava raining down from above onto the unsuspecting bandits. But now she was moving through the field with her sword, cutting one person down on her own accord before the blade that shone through the settled dust changed direction, Jet had taken a hit.

In Karumo's moment of deciding what to do, he realized that he'd spent too much time in reflecting to act, he grabbed two kunai from his pouch and placed one in each hand. Rotating them about with his finger through the ring before taking the one in his left hand in a reverse grip and holding the right one normally. Raishi had buried a lot of them in lava, there wouldn't be many of them left to deal with after the fact, but Jet took damage, Raishi acted quick and moved in, with his lava burying most and Shigeki having split the group, that only left 4 remaining in their field of vision to deal with for Raishi. For Karumo, he needed to find a way to thin out both the remaining hoards of men, the 5 left with Shigeki and the 4 about to face off with Raishi, Shigeki could hold his own well enough, genjutsu would save him for a moment but Raishi had to cover for Jet.

This meant his biggest need was with the pair, so he took a shuriken from his pouch in his hand, replacing the kunai and flung it from his wrist in the direction of the group with shigeki, without aim or distinction, he formed through a sequence of hand signs quickly and would let the Shadow Shuriken Jutsu runs its course, not expecting everything to hit but enough to disorient and distract, maybe the odd strike of a shuriken here and there.

With a turn of his head he began running forward now, towards the last group of men, forming more hand seals and hoping to catch them slightly off guard as their attention turned towards Raishi. This last technique meant to damage and obfuscate their sight, if he would catch all of them, it would be easy to finish them off afterwards, the Great Vacuum Sphere Technique! Holding his hands up to his chest and inhaling deeply filling his lungs with vicious fuuton chakra, he would exhale and explosion of wind, rapidly expanding into a sphere right before him, aimed directly to cut through as many of the group of three as he could, leaving one more to the side to be dealt with. They, would be attacked with the sphere, and the clean up would be easy after the fact, depending on what the rest of them wanted to do to take care of the rest of the enemies, but when it was all settled, it shouldn't be any problem to clean up the scene and take the kid back to the village.

The area around him began to swim out of focus, a loud ringing building up in his ears and the smell of death clogging his nose. He looked around and realized that he was alone, the other three seeming to have vanished from where he was expecting to be. He began hyperventilating, his body convulsing as he purged his insides until the body at his feet was also drowning in vomit. Just as the world began spinning in circles around him, in a momentary near lapse of consciousness, Shigeki would see the thing that he feared most. His knees dropped to the ground as he saw his father standing there in front of him, looking at Shigeki at first with disgust, that drink in his hand that he just always seemed to have.

Well you worthless piece of trash; are you going to cry? Look at you, all grown up and still dressing up like a girl. There was no way you ever would have grown up to be the man I wanted you to be, you don't have any balls anyway, that's how you squeeze in those fluzie skank outfits. Your life will never amount to anything, except being a dead piece of shit washed up in the gutter somewhere after some man uses you up and disposes of you. You deserve everything you have gotten, you deserve the beating, you deserved to be raped, you deserved the abuse. Now go fucking die.

Shigeki could only feel rage building up inside of him, seeing his father in front of him once again. He threw the drink at Shigeki's head, which he dodged before picking himself up off of the groud. He clenched his fists, walking towards the man whom had tormented him for the entirety of his childhood, taking away his innocence and destroying his chances of ever having a normal life. He gritted his teeth before he began to walk towards him, his father not able to move due to what Shigeki noticed to be hardened quicklime at his feet. He began to shout once more as he walked towards the man. "YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS WORTHLESS, YOU PIECE OF SHIT! YOU RUINED MY ENTIRE LIFE!" He began to run, plunging the hidden blade into the man's throat before he vanished from sight, popping up quite close by, still caught in quicklime as Shigeki swiped at his throat this time. He could feel the hot spray once more, but his father had once again disappeared.

Ahead of him he could see five men fighting among themselves, one of them clearly his father. Shigeki's anger reached a boiling point at seeing him again. "YOU ARE SUCH A FUCKING COWARD! WHY DON'T YOU COME AND FACE ME LIKE A MAN? OR ARE YOU EMBARRASSED THAT YOUR 'DAUGHTER' ENDED UP BEING MORE OF A MAN THAN YOU!" He raised his hands in front of him, forming a few hand signs before placing his hands to the ground in front of him, tearing up the earth as it was replaced with Lava. He could hear screams in front of him as the men who were standing in the lava all began to freak out, except for his father who just laughed. Shigeki ran up to him once again, plunging that blade into his eye, before he swapped positions with one of the other men, doing so again and again as Shigeki dealt death blow after death blow, trying his hardest to kill his father. When he was done there were five bodies laying in the lava, their faces unrecognizable so Shigeki had no idea if they were his father or not.

He got out away from the pool of lava, falling to his knees once more and sobbing into his hands again. Everyone he had come with had abandoned him, and he hadn't been able to find and kill his tormentor. He had killed so many people, but all of them had been pointless, none of them being the man who truly deserved it. He threw up once more before it turned into just dry heaving, no longer having anything that he could bring out of his stomach as he fell to the ground, his mind slipping off into unconsciousness as he hit the ground. There were bodies all around him, nobody near him still alive as they were all either burning or sliced up, but either way the carnage was immense for the young jounin...

Pain suddenly exploded at her side, making her world blurry. Jetsuda could not handle the agonizing pain and forced Jet to wake up before passing out; probably for a while too. Like a daze, Jet was forced awake and were able to have a moment of reprieve that was the hell she was in when she snapped into reality. Her ribs were seething, hating her for a crime she did not know she committed. Where was she? She...can not remember where...perhaps the others had a part in this? Maybe that is why there is such a gap in memory...fuck how does she always find herself in these messes. And what is with these black spots she has been having lately. However before she could contemplate further a searing heat shot of force right past her, smelling faintly of earth. Her eyes widened and she instinctively ducked to the side, holding her side as she saw a person with no iwa identification get shot down a few meters from her. Maybe it was all this sensory overload and the pain getting to her but she was exhausted. Her breathing was heavy. She was covered in blood. Her ribs were hurting, likely broken and to top it off she did not know where she was. Heck she was not sure if she wanted to know. Just...she is having a shit day. Of course it were that opportune moment that a scream from a familiar voice struck her out of her stupor and her head snapped in his direction 'Is that...Shigeki?...The fuck is he doing here' She remember going on a recon mission with him but that's about it. She could not remember what happened after getting to the cavern. Great, just what she needed. Another set of missing memories. Is this going to become a routine. A certain narrator is gleefully shrugging and gives no response.

No matter...when the dust literally cleared, the adrenaline high Jet shakily got up off the ground and gave a look. Bodies like the unconscious one. Shigeki who went crazy. Her first sensei who gave her confidence and taught her teamwork. And finally good ole Karumo. Looking them dead in the eye, she sighed and held her ribs "Anywho want to tell us what's going on. Mission? Ambush? Maybe going on the way to the bar to get a drink cause that sounds damn good right now."

All said and done, the bandits were taken care of, sloppy work perhaps with a lot of indirection and an assortment of other faults and injuries to go along with it, but they were alive at the very least? That was something he supposed, he tightened his armor back up and went around to each bandit to... guarantee their deaths. After a moment, the dust had settled, Jet made some comment about going to a bar, Karumo chuckled at, they still hadn't finished the mission but it was nearly there.

Karumo sent Raishi to carry his Kanetsu cousin back, as long as Jet could walk and hold her own, even if injured, Karumo would take the kid and lead the young child back to the village. Leaving behind the scene and reporting in for more ANBU to move in and clean things up afterwards, quite the delay to leave the scene but Karumo had no interest in sticking around for more bandits to show up and cause problems.

Still, once back in the village it would be easy, returning the kid to his parents, and taking both Shigeki and Jet to the hospital, the journey back was the easy part, just staying together as a group and not pushing it.

Dead
He could see a pair of red eyes piercing deep into his soul, observing him, judging him. He knew that this judge was looking for something inside of him that he could use, something that would make the ambiguously gendered boy useful to him. He also knew that he was a master of disguise, having earned such a title after years of deception and toying with others in one of his masterful disguises. He could feel the eyes bearing into him, leering at him and judging all of his past actions, and his present endeavours and possible future conquests. He could feel the ambient temperature of the room rising as his heart began to pound harder, sweat beginning to poor down his normally warm body. He wasn’t sure why he was feeling this way, but he was sure that he was genuinely afraid of what might happen to him if this man judged him harshly. He had no idea what would happen if he succeeded either but he knew that it would be something that he would be able to be proud of. His judge held out its hand and told him to take it, and see what would be his if he was to take it. He then reached out his own hand and took the judges, wanting to know what possible fate was in store for him.

As soon as he took the figure’s hand, odd visions began to appear before his eyes. He envisioned a group of people shrouded in shadow, people whom held on to strings of what seemed to be puppets until, upon closer investigation, Shigeki noticed were people. The ones pulling the strings were standing atop a mountain of riches, gold, papers, and weapons. They were clearly a powerful and influential group of people and Shigeki couldn’t help but feel in awe of their position. He then saw the shadows lifting from one of the figures and realised it to be a slim person, ambiguous in gender but quite pretty, with long blonde hair and red eyes piercing back into his own. He was looking into an exact replica of himself except something was different. This version of him was bursting with confidence in a way that Shigeki had never done before. He was radiating with power as well, a power Shigeki could almost taste and that he now craved. If he could become this powerful he could surely achieve any and all of his goals. The fire in the young man’s eyes had always burned but in this version of him they burned so brightly they were like the sun on a hot Sunagakure day. It was the vision of a young man who had really come into his own, and Shigeki knew he wanted this.

This can all be yours, young Kanetsu… You just have to take it… When the opportunity presents itself you will know what to do, for if you do not… The vision changed once again, this time it was similar but instead he was focusing on the people attached to the puppets strings. At their feet was the young form of Shigeki once again, beaten, broken, used, and abused. It was the sight of someone who had lost everything, all hope, and had nothing to live for. Shigeki was deeply disturbed by this. He was completely naked and it looked like he had been victimized in more ways than physically. He had deep lacerations all over his lithe body and his hair was dirty and matted, his red eyes had none of their usual shine to them, staring ahead of them completely lost and dead to the world. He knew that this vision of him had been stepped on and had been judged worthless, simply a toy to be used when it was wanted and discarded when it wasn’t. It brought tears to the young Kanetsu’s crimson orbs to look upon the broken body of himself and think that this was a possibility of something that could happen to him. All of the light of his youth and beauty could vanish, be stolen away and tarnished, never to shine again, with simply a wrong judgement, something that Shigeki had to avoid at all costs.

Remember to choose wisely, young Kanetsu. When the head calls you must join the body. You must make the right decision or fall discarded to the ground, as you have seen here. All of the riches of the world, all of your dreams and aspirations, can be achieved with a simple decision… The visions stopped, the judge stood before him, his golden armour glistening in the pale light and his blonde hair rustling though there was no wind anywhere around. His red eyes locked with Shigeki’s own crimson orbs once more and the judge smiled, his features so familiar to Shigeki. The judge the opened a glowing palm, red molten lava forming in the palm of his hand, and he pressed it to Shigeki’s chest, right over top of his heart, imprinting him with his handprint before…

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Shigeki awoke with a start, his entire body convulsing and shaking from the fear that he was living that dream. He felt the place on his chest where the hand had been pressed to him, feeling a tightness in his chest from that but noticing that there was no hand print there. He could feel himself being carried and looked to see who it was. It was the murderous member of his clan, the one who didn't trust Kazu and was trying to bring him to justice or something along those lines. Shigeki jumped out of his arms, stepping away from him and moving to stand beside Karumo, the only person in the group whom he somewhat trusted. As they made their way back to the village he kept watching over his shoulders, ensuring that no members of the group tried to stab him in the back. He had lost his chance to kill his father once again, and there was no way in hell that he would allow himself to die before he got the chance to plunge his blade into that man's throat. The four of them made their way back to the village having accomplished their task, but Shigeki didn't feel better having done that. There was a deep mistrust of the people in his village that he simply couldn't shake, and it bothered him to no end.

Shigeki split off from the three people out of the group and made his way back to his house. As he walked through the village he didn't look up, refusing to look at anyone as he made his way there. He didn't want to see anyone or have anyone see the look on his face, which was a look that was extremely upset. He couldn't help but wear his emotions on his sleeve, and when he got back into his house he sat down in his chair, burried his face into his hands, and cried his eyes out. The events of today would stick with the Kanetsu for a long time, and it bothered him greatly that it would be that way, as he had already suffered so much...

Karumo chuckled at her words and she rolled her eyes not wanting to deal with him. Looking around she was able to connect the dots somewhat. It did not appear to be an ambush, heck she had some clones of her protecting a kid which turned into fire once she saw them. Lava and the smell of death permeated the air, no doubt of Raishi's work. Jeez how long has it been since she has seen him? Weeks? Months? Or was it recently during one of her blackout periods. She did not know and she did not care to as he did not matter much to her anyway. No rather her attention was on Shigeki and Karumo. Shigeki had screamed when she woke up and now he was out for the count smelling of vomit, dirt, and blood. Definitely not the best combination in the world. Raishi went ahead and carried his unconscious clansman. The group went off to hand in there mission and all Jet could think.....well that could have gone better.
