Nayoko

D-rank
Nayoko had woken up very early today. He dressed quickly, throwing on his jacket and wrapping his hands and waist thoroughly before running downstairs and scarfing down some breakfast. He was mid-meal when his sister ran down the stairs as well and joined him. “Good morning Nayoko! Big plans today?” She asked so sweetly, Nayoko could not help but smile. He then replied right before downing a glass of water, “You bet sis! I met a ninja last night, a Genin from Kiri, and he told me he wanted to train today! He has some crazy abilities involving water that I’m really excited to check out. It’s going to be a good day.” Kioko smiled at her older brother, and ran to the pantry, grabbing some snacks for Nayoko. She handed them to the twenty-two year old saying, “Take these, I’m sure you’ll work up a hunger before the morning is even over.” Nayoko smiled again, thanked his sister, and then headed out toward the training fields. He knew exactly which one he wanted to get to.

There was still dew on the grass as Nayoko was walking through the village toward the training fields. He waved to the people he saw around town, opening up shops or heading out for breakfast and to work. He was so excited. He could already feel adrenaline pumping through his veins as he thought about how in the world he could possibly outmaneuver Daiko, the young travelling ninja that had an affinity to Suiton just like Nayoko. Furthermore, Nayoko had seen that Daiko was fairly adept at Genjutsu as well, which had Nayoko a little worried. He did not know the first thing about Genjutsu, so he would have to remain wary if he wanted to outsmart the young ninja. Finally, Nayoko arrived at the training fields. He headed toward the fields and walked to one that had a small body of water running though it. Perfect, Nayoko thought. This is going to be interesting.

Nayoko began running around the field, warming up and preparing for the training that the day ahead would hold. He wanted to try executing some of his jutsu, but he also knew that Taijutsu may be the best bet against a man that would make his body become water. His breathing intensified as he sped up, trying to really prepare his body for whatever would happen. Nayoko was not sure what the rules of this spar would be, but he knew that if he could convince Daiko, they would be allowed to use their jutsu. He was fine with whatever they decided, but Nayoko wanted a real spar. One where he could show up the jutsu he had been practicing for weeks on end. It was powerful, and it could hurt the other ninja, but even so, Nayoko was confident they he could control himself and his power.

Nayoko glanced around and realized that he had arrived really early. Sighing, he walked over to one of the training dummies and started punching it, practicing ways for him to get past Daiko’s impressive abilities. Genjutsu, how do I avoid Genjutsu. He couldn’t keep is eyes closed indefinitely, nor could he trust himself to resist the young traveler's jutsu without issue. I’ll have to strike first if possible. I’m pretty fast, I’ll try to use that to my advantage. Nayoko continued to ponder this while he waited for his training partner to arrive at the fields, hoping that he would figure something out before it was too late.

Daiko yawned, stretching out and getting up out of his bed. It was nice being able to stay at this place.. Even if he did have to pay. He walks out of the inn and makes it out to the streets of Konoha. It was so early that it was still dark, but he decided that he needed some time to get ready anyway. He figured that when his friend Nayoko said that they were to be training together, that perhaps it was a way of them being able to spar. Daiko didn't mind the idea, as he had not really tested his abilities out on a ninja of this village. The idea of training with someone from a new unique village peaked his interest, so he decided that he would be dressed for the occasion. He makes sure that his half black and half white sweatshirt was nice and crisp and he had on a black t-shirt under it. For his pants he decided to sport his half white half black trip pants, which aligned in color to his jacket. He looked a bit strange but he felt fine, so he decided that it would be about time that he walked off to the training fields..

Upon arrival, Daiko looks around to see if his friend had already arrived. It looked like he in fact had arrived, and he was standing over by a small river and punching the crap out of something. He then seemed to stop and think. Walking over, Daiko waved. "Hey Nayoko." Once he made it over to the man, he smiled. "So, we're going to show each other some of our moves today hmm? I feel like we are going to spar eventually, to show our mutual respect to each other as ninja and the clan names we carry, no?"

Daiko walks back a bit so that he was about 10 meters away from the man, and slowly exhales, breathing out an invisible water vapor, that then would condense around him in 12 different little globules of water. These globs would slowly rotate around Daiko. "Why don't you show me a cool looking move? Show me, and we will begin our spar... Let us try to keep injuries to a minimum, but for the sake of making things interesting... Go ahead and use any technique or weapons that you have, and I will do the same... Whoever is the least roughed up has to take the other to the hospital if it gets to that..." If Nayoko could see his face, he would notice a wink beckoning him to try something.

Daiko was looking forward to this.

Nayoko was slightly startled by Daiko as he approached and greeted the fellow Genin. Daiko wasted no time and began to discuss how the training was going to go without hesitation. "So, we're going to show each other some of our moves today hmm? I feel like we are going to spar eventually, to show our mutual respect to each other as ninja and the clan names we carry, no?" Hearing these words Nayoko was already getting fired up. “Sounds like a plan to me,” Nayoko replied as Daiko began to walk away. "I’m looking forward to seeing what you can do.” Daiko was standing about 10m away from Nayoko when he started to exhale slowly. Hm, must be some sort of warm up or something, Nayoko thought to himself as he tried to decide where to start.

Nayoko’s thoughts were interrupted by his training companion who began to speak to Nayoko from the distance. "Why don't you show me a cool looking move? Show me, and we will begin our spar... Let us try to keep injuries to a minimum, but for the sake of making things interesting... Go ahead and use any technique or weapons that you have, and I will do the same... Whoever is the least roughed up has to take the other to the hospital if it gets to that..." Nayoko smiled and looked toward Daiko, and noticed the traveler perform the faintest hint of a wink. Nayoko’s smile grew into a grin that spread across his face. This is what Nayoko had been looking for. A friend who did not mind taking a beating or dishing one out. “Alright Daiko, sounds good to me! But I’ll warn you now, I’ve got some pretty good tricks up my sleeve.”

Nayoko’s thoughts quickly turned to all of his jutsu. His repertoire was not the most impressive, but he knew some pretty useful jutsu, especially against a single opponent. He glanced behind him at the small pond area behind him. He knew it was fairly deep, and could be pretty useful. He nodded to himself. He would have to force Daiko onto that water sooner or later. He had a plan that was sure to impress his new friend from the Hidden Mist.

Nayoko stepped so that he was facing perpendicular to the way Daiko was facing and began to remove his jacket. It was already a little sweaty from the running that he had been doing, and plus, he liked making a show of things sometimes. He threw the jacket high into the air, hoping to draw Daiko’s attention, and quickly formed the tiger hand sign. Almost instantly, water from the ground near Nayoko was brought together and formed into a perfect water clone of Nayoko. They both dropped into a stance and began to speak at the exact same time. “You’re fast right? Fast enough for two of me?” As he said that, him and his clone burst forward at a speed of 9 meters per second toward Daiko, and attempted to follow up with a series of combination Taijutsu techniques that he had worked on just this morning. It would be a quick series of low kicks from the clone and high punches from Nayoko himself, hopefully fast enough for Daiko to be unable to stop them, though Nayoko could not be sure at this point.

Daiko watched his opponent from where he was, and could see he was getting ready. Nayoko gave him a warning to look out for the tricks up his sleeve. He wasn't quite sure what he had in mind, but suiton and fuuton did not worry him as much as some other elements did. He stands prepared, while his friend was making a show of beginning. He tossed his jacket in the air, and made a tiger hand seal. Daiko didn't pay much attention to the jacket, as his adrenaline was beginning to rise at the thought of battle. After that, he notices that there were two of his friends. Hmm. Daiko didn't really see how that was really fair, but then again he was never one to complain about fairness.

As his friend was challenging the speed of Daiko, he smirks for a second. He would then form a tiger hand seal, hoping that Nayoko was paying as close attention to him as he was to him. After that, four clones of him would appear in a puff of flames, and one would run at each Nayoko, while the other two stood in front of Daiko. The clone of his friend went with some taijutsu kicks, which the clone was not really prepared for. The clone managed to dodge the first couple strikes, but upon trying to land a hook to the clone's jaw, he was kicked hard enough to fall down. Hmm. Daiko had to remember that one. The other clone had a rough time withstanding the real Nayoko's fighting tactics, and Daiko was glad that it wasn't him getting the beat down.

Daiko focuses his chakra, likely only about 3 meters away from Nayoko, as he assumed that the man would begin the beat down on his other two clones. While this would be going on, an invisible bubble of chakra would expand off of Daiko's body 5 meters around him, and anyone inside of it would begin to be fearful. Using the sudden distraction of emotion and the fact that both Nayokos would be fighting his own clones, he would activate the globules of water beside him, which would explode into a froth of sea foam. He would attempt to drive his tanto into the body of the clone, and yank upwards, hopefully reverting it back to water.

Imagine this all around us...:

Daiko would then let no time go to waste and tried out one of those fancy sweep kicks that he had a great memory of from his clone getting beat with it, trying to knock Nayoko over, and if he did he would jump back a few meters dispersing his remaining two clones to get back the chakra that they had, preparing for his next offensive.

Rushing forward along with his clone counterpart and preparing to strike, Nayoko kept is eyes focused on his target. Nayoko’s blood was pumping and his adrenaline was already coursing through his veins as he stared down his new friend. As he charged forward, he could not help but raise an eyebrow as Daiko smirked. For the briefest of moments, Nayoko was worried he had fallen for one of Daiko’s genjutsu already, but continued forward anyway. It was then that he saw the tiger seal that Daiko’s hands were forming. He can create water clones as well? But Nayoko was proven wrong as an instant later as in four puffs of flame appeared four clones of Daiko. Damn, four Katon clones? I guess I’m going too easy on him already! Nayoko’s smile dropped as he began to focus.

Two of Daiko’s fire clones rushed forward and were about to engage him and his own water clone. The fighting finally broke out as the four combatants collided. Nayoko’s clone continued with his initial tactic, aiming for a series of low kicks. The fire clone was resilient, but Nayoko’s water clone was able to knock it back from whence it came with a sweeping kick. Nayoko himself blocked the first few incoming blows of the Daiko clone, easily deflecting the clones basic Taijutsu. It was not very long before Nayoko grabbed the wrist of the fire clone, and pulled it forward into his knee, causing the clone to crumple. Nayoko finished it with an elbow drop on its head.

It was in that moment that Nayoko noticed Daiko had closed in, but before Nayoko could react, he was set upon by the other two of Daiko’s clones. Without a moment’s hesitation Nayoko and his own clone began to fight the Katon Bunshin. It was going fairly well when out of seemingly nowhere, Nayoko began to feel afraid. I can take these guys, he thought to himself, beginning to panic. What is there to worry about? But despite all of his willpower, Nayoko could not help but shake the feeling of fear. As soon as Nayoko’s panic was about to come to a climax, there was an explosion of sea foam all around him. Nayoko could not help but let out a small gasp as he was surrounded by the foamy substance from all around, his fear beginning to compound at this point. He pushed back his combatant and spun around just in time to see the blade of a tanto come out of the back of his clone, before it reverted to a puddle of water.

Barely in control of his faculties, Nayoko was able to notice Daiko’s low sweeping kick come for his own legs at the last moment. Daiko was fast, but Nayoko was skilled with Taijutsu and knew where to look and how to dodge the blow. He jumped back into the air, avoiding the kick, before gathering fuuton chakra in his mouth and exhaling it rapidly to push himself back to what he felt was a safe distance. He watched as Daiko seemed to do the same, dispersing the remaining fire clones and preparing for Nayoko’s next strike.

Nayoko’s mind raced. His panic was building on itself and he could not for the life of him understand why. I’m not in any real danger, but damn, I’m terrified. I can’t lose because of this. I’ve just got to calm down. But try as he might, he could not shake the feeling gripping his soul. In a paniced move, Nayoko maneuvered so that his back was to the pool behind him. I’ve gotta get him there. I’ve gotta get him onto the water. So here goes nothing. He glanced behind Daiko at a small fallen log about 10m from him before immediately refocusing on his friend. In that brief moment he prepared a substitution jutsu. Then stopped very clearly and began to form hand seals. Dragon, rat, horse, and finally tiger, after which five smooth stones near the shore that Nayoko stood by transformed in an instant into five kunai that proceeded to launch themselves toward Daiko. As they flew forward, Nayoko rushed toward Daiko as well. As he rushed forward, a yell leaped unbidden from his lips is a cry of terror, for he was terrified and he did not know why.

This had better work…

After the missing of the attempted sweep kick, Daiko jumps back. This guy was too good with taijutsu for him to have any real chance up close... He could probably match his strength, but he didn't know if he could keep up with his technique. When they both retreated, the foam had reverted back to water, and Nayoko was doing hand seals. Daiko was looking at him wondering what he was going to do, and then sees stones and pebbles go in the air and fly around the man. Daiko had to learn that one from him. Hmm. Must've forgot the pen trick...

Nayoko was obviously feeling the effects of the fear jutsu, and Daiko felt bad for him a little bit. He decided that he would give him one last scare and stop bothering him with all the tricks.

When the shurikens make contact with Daiko's skin, his body reacts by turning to water in those portions of his body just the size so that each shuriken can pass through his water-like body. When the man was close, he would rush forward suddenly and press his palm to the man's chest, a bubble of water forming around the man. This water prison would keep him from running around too much. Daiko decided that it would be time for him to let the swamp monsters come out. These ones were not like the last one that he had shown him.

IMG:

They were grotesque creatures that rose out of the puddles that were left from the dissolved sea foam. They were screeching and wiggling there claws around, and there was a total of 10, and they were all making disgusting screeching sounds that sounded half human and half no idea what it was. Their eyes were glazed over in red and they didn't blink, and they just kept making what sounded like a mix between a screech and a cackle and was whispering Hungry..... in it's shredded voice. They were all doing that, and gathering around the water prison. Daiko was pretty sure that he would be crapping his pants right now, and decided to talk to him, since he couldn't really do anything in his current state. "Yeah, these guys are the ones that I have to feed every now and then. They can devour one of those giant forest animals that I see every so often in under a minute." Daiko would then look into his eyes, making an expression so subtle that would seemingly mean 'You're going to die here', because of the nerves. Daiko didn't really mean it at all, but it would be funny to see what happens when all the fear goes away...

Daiko then released him from the orb, letting the creatures converge on him, all wiggling their disgusting bodies and then they dissipated and Nayoko would be carried into the lake that he had been close to before by a jet of water that shot out of Daiko's mouth like a Lazor. He had been charging his chakra in his face while all this was going on, and decided to take the battle to water.

Daiko runs over to and stands on the lake, getting ready for whatever this guy had to do. Daiko thought he was underwater from being pushed, but he would no longer be subjected to the fear genjutsu and Daiko would be prepared for when he comes up to the surface.

Nayoko could not help but curse under his breath when he saw the projectiles that he had fired at Daiko pass through him harmlessly. Damn it. Nice going Nayoko, you let your fear get the better of you and ended up using a jutsu that you KNEW would not work. He huffed with anger as he bit off the last of his terrified yell, still closing quickly with his training partner. He expected Daiko to go for a block of some sort as he lunged forward with his fists, but he was surprised to see the young ninja duck under his strikes and thrust his hand out, palm open, toward Nayoko’s chest. Uh-oh, I know what this is…but the thought came too late as a large bubble of water formed around him, encasing him in a Water Prison Jutsu. Nayoko tried to let this fire him up, he tried to be frustrated or upset, but the only thing he could feel was crippling fear.

Just as he thought it could not get any worse, he watched as the puddles around him began to shudder and grow, slow shifting and growing until ten large, bulbous, grotesque creature crawled from the puddles that remained after the sea foam explosions from earlier. He spun inside his bubble, watching them approach as they screeched and scraped. Their sounds grated against Nayoko’s psyche until he could swear that he heard them all whispering in unison “Hungry…” Nayoko visibly shuddered as Daiko began to speak. "Yeah, these guys are the ones that I have to feed every now and then. They can devour one of those giant forest animals that I see every so often in under a minute." He followed up this statement with a look that pierced straight through Nayoko. His face held an expression that revealed nothing but malice, and in that moment, Nayoko began to fear the rumors he had heard about the ruthlessness of Hidden Mist ninja. Perhaps Daiko did not intend to leave Nayoko in a reasonable state after all.

Suddenly, the bubble was gone, and the creatures began to descend on Nayoko. He had completely forgotten about the threat of Daiko for the moment, and began punching and kicking then, until he realized that each strike he made seemed to make the creatures vanish, as if they had never been there in the first place. No…this whole time…Genjutsu?!? But once again, Nayoko’s realization came too late as a suddenly he was blasted with a stream of water that sent him careening toward the lake. And in that moment, as his body was being blasted back, the monsters disappeared before his eyes, and his intense fear was gone. For that moment, he felt an incredible peace that flooded over his body. Daiko was not trying to kill him. Daiko was his friend. But right now, Daiko needed to see what Nayoko could really do. Nayoko needed to get some payback for making him look so ridiculous. As the fountain pushed Nayoko over the water and then forced him downward, just as he broke the surface, he glanced again past Daiko, smirked, and executed his substitution jutsu.

Moving as speeds that were impossible to perceive he vanished, replacing his position with the one of the log he had prepared before. He was standing on dry land, approximately 25m from Daiko, who had jumped onto the water and was standing there, waiting for Nayoko to come back up. Perfect. Time to show him what I can really do! Nayoko burst forward until he was about 15m from his target, possibly giving away his position if Daiko looked behind him, but then proceeded to form a number of hand seals. They were fast but precise, as Nayoko had practiced them thousands of times. He finally finished the technique, and if Daiko had not yet see him, he would watch as only a log rose in the place of Nayoko, and it would be quickly followed by an enormous dragon mad of pure water that burst forth from the pool 5m from Daiko, coiling upward before turning toward Daiko and launching toward him at full speeds of 35m/s. He doubted even Daiko could avoid the speed of his Water Dragon Bullet Technique. “TAKE THIS BUDDY!”

Daiko stood on the water, waiting for the man to rise to the surface. It didn't look like he did, and Daiko was a bit disappointing. Maybe he was so weak that he died just from the illusions of swamp monsters. Before he could build up the empathy to pull the body out of the lake, a log popped up out of the water. The log did feel like it had a bit of chakra in it, so maybe his friend had turned into the log from fear. Daiko didn't know that could even happen. Sighing, Daiko picks it up and puts some of his chakra in it, then throws it away from him, and it lands about 10 meters away. "Wow he turned into a log. I must've scared him pretty good after all." He said it loud enough so that wherever he was around him he would hear, but before he finished a huge dragon of water shot out of the lake where Nayoko had been laid in, coiling in the sky very quickly and then shooting down toward Daiko. Hmm. He must have turned into a dragon and this was his revenge. Looking up at it from the lake, he realized that he didn't have much time to think about what to do.

The thing was coming at him at insane speeds, though the spiraling in the air gave him a little bit of time to think. When the dragon began to come toward Daiko from the angle it was at in the air, he realized that if he dodged it at the perfect time then he would have a chance of getting rid of it. As the dragon turned from it's spiral in the sky to coming down on Daiko, he knew he had to think quickly. Daiko's sharp reflexes leads him to dash to the side the second the dragon wold seem to hit him. He avoids most of the attack but he got caught on his side by it. He is then knocked over to his right a little bit, but quickly gets up. His bruise didn't hurt too bad after the initial impact, but it did feel like he had a few cracked ribs. When Daiko got up, he noticed that it hurt significantly more when he stood up. Great.

Daiko made sure the dragon smashed into the ground, hopefully ending it. If that were the case, Daiko would then look toward Nayoko, who's voice he heard when the huge dragon had flown out of the lake. Daiko would then hold his hand flat and flick it towards Nayoko, and a jet of water would begin to race toward him at 20 m/s, and would chase him down if he tried to dodge to the side. As the water went toward the man, so did Daiko. He chased behind, and was ready to follow up after the jet was taken care of and would try to land a few blows to Nayoko's chest with his fists, going defensively as to not get his ass handed to him like what had happened to his clones.

Nayoko watched with pride and focus as the water dragon careened directly toward his new friend. Daiko looked like he was frozen in place for a moment, and Nayoko wondered if he had won then and there, but he was wrong. Just as the dragon was going to smash into Daiko, he jumped back toward the shore. Nayoko wanted to force the dragon to follow, but unfortunately, hitting Daiko at this point meant sacrificing the jutsu. Nayoko went for it anyway, sending the dragon right for his friend who managed to get out of the way enough to have the dragon just hit his side before it crashed into the earth. The spray rose from the ground in a gigantic splash, soaking everything around the point of impact. Daiko fell for but a second, but was back on his feet in no time. Nayoko followed him with his eyes, and noticed him wince slightly and grab his ribs. Oops, I guess I got carried away…I didn’t really want to hurt him too much. Nayoko relaxed for a moment and opened his mouth to apologize when he saw Daiko flick his finger in his direction. Nayoko raised an eyebrow, and then watched in horror as a jet of water came bursting through the ground and headed straight for him.

He jumped to the side to get out of the way, but the jet of water kept chasing his, regardless of how fast he was moving or what direction. Finally, he attempted to jump upward while forcing his body to turn to be parallel with the ground. He did so and kicked himself into a spin, but he was not quite fast enough as the jet finally reached him and passed under him as he spun. He ran across the width of his lower back, and Nayoko could not help but wince as he felt his shirt tear and he skin be ripped open about half an inch deep. He continued his spin and was about to land when *thwump* Daiko rushed forward and slammed his fist into Nayoko’s stomach. The speed at which he had been going combined with the strength behind the blow almost folded Nayoko in half; he was surprised to say the least. Nayoko flew backwards off of the punch and rolled onto his feel. “Damn, you’re fast my friend!” Nayoko said this while feeling the blood that pouring out of his new wound before he dashed forward, meeting his friend head on. The taijutsu fight was on.

The two traded blows on fairly equal footing. Daiko was both slightly stronger and faster than Nayoko, but what Nayoko lacked him raw power, he made up for with technique. The battle was impressive. Their bodies ebbed and flowed liked the tide as the battle went back and forth between the two. Daiko’s defensive stance was doing a good job at keeping Nayoko’s more offensive style at bay, and the traveler’s counterattacks were keeping Nayoko on his toes as well. This continued for some time, both members receiving and delivering their fair share of solid hits. Nayoko was on top of this world. He loved everything about this training session, but his favorite part was that Daiko could take a hit, and get right back of to keep fighting. Daiko did not give up, and Nayoko gained a lot of respect for him because of that.

Nayoko could not help but admit that he was getting tired, and even though he would have loved to fight all day long, his body would not be able to handle it. Keeping time with the flow of the taijutsu fight that the two Genin were locked in, he moved his hand into a position to slam into Daiko’s chest. He thrust it forward and hoped to catch him in his own Water Prison technique, but that would only happen if he managed to hit the young man.

Daiko was impressed how Nayoko contended to him in the standoff. He was having a difficult time getting through Daiko's defense, but at the same time Daiko didn't really do much damage to him either. They were trading blows and it seemed that Nayoko was only a bit slower than Daiko, but his sheer skill made up for it.

Daiko remained focused on the man, trying to find a way to break the stalemate. He was getting pretty tired at this point, and he decided that he would try to find an opportunity to deliver a finishing blow of some sort. He didn't know, but he would be sharp to look out. The battle continued and Nayoko didn't give any hints of doing anything special. That is, until he had moved his hand in a way that Daiko had not seen before, and thrust it forward. Daiko had found his chance.

Daiko thrust his body forward as well, moving in close to the man so that his hand would pass through his body faster before it would do any damage, and Daiko's chest would have his elbow and arm inside, before grabbing the man's head very quickly, the man's arm flowing through his body as he moved it, and Daiko brought his friend's head to slam down on his own kneecap as fast and as hard as he could, and just the instant that the blow was about to connect Daiko would substitute with the log, and Nayoko would likely just eat dirt while the log falls in front of him.

Walking over from where he was, he would rub his side and wince then start talking to his friend. "Man! You learn to fight that well using books?" he would then stretch out, obviously showing that he was done with the combat. He was sore and he could feel that his chakra was low. He probably should get some rest after this. "That battle was great.. I wasn't sure that I could keep up with you." Daiko would smile at the man, and help him to his feet if he hadn't gotten up on his own before he walked over. "One of these days, we can go out to eat... it's on me... haha... We should probably check out the hospital, but I can't cover that bill."

Daiko would then begin to walk toward the hospital, and when they were there they would be taken to separate places, and he would wave goodbye to him before being healed, and leaving the building. Daiko then set off to find somewhere to rest, as he was extremely tired.

Nayoko watched as the area on Daiko's body that his hand was being placed transformed into a water-like substance that allowed his hand to pass right through the young ninja. Suddenly, Daiko pushed himself forward so that Nayoko was elbow deep into his new friend. All Nayoko could do was gawk as Daiko grabbed his head and thrust it toward his knee. Nayoko braced himself for the hard impact for bone on bone he was about to feel.

*Thud* Nayoko’s face met soft earth. It still hurt a lot, but Nayoko knew he had been spared a severe amount of pain. Nayoko slowly stood up, seeing the log that Daiko had substituted with lying before him. Well, looks like I lost this round. Nayoko rubbed his now sore jaw as he turned around to hear Daiko talking to him. "Man! You learn to fight that well using books?" Daiko said while stretching a little bit, probably working out the pain in his side as best as he could. Nayoko laughed. “Not quite my friend, it took hard work mostly. But books help a little I guess. Not enough it would seem though.” Daiko responded by complimenting Nayoko’s speed and combat skills, which Nayoko returned in kind sincerely. He was very impressed with what Daiko could do, and he knew that he could learn a lot from his friend. Daiko then continued, "One of these days, we can go out to eat... it's on me... haha... We should probably check out the hospital, but I can't cover that bill." Nayoko nodded in agreement and began to leave the training fields with Daiko.

As they walked toward the hospital, Nayoko did his best to bandage up the long cut on his back, but he knew that the hospital would be the best place for those kinds of injuries to be heeled. He chatted with Daiko as they walked, admiring the young traveller while they strolled toward their destination. He’s so young but he travelled here from the Land of Water, that means I should be able to do the same too some day! But first I’ve got to catch up to him. These thoughts continued in Nayoko’s mind as he was treated at the hospital before he headed over to the administration office. Perhaps he could get some work in before the end of the day…
