Kashizudoto

Wow, his time in Iwa was probably the most jam-packed that he'd ever had in his life. For starters, he traveled through the Land of Earth and to Iwa's Administration Building to deliver a letter to the new Tsuchikage, who he ended up discussing the Kiri-Kumo war with in depth. As soon as he was clear to leave, he ended up dashing out to go on some of the most ridiculous adventures all around the land, fighting the craziest things in his path: from annoying girls to minor bandits to animals to giant mutants to even geographic structures, meeting so many interesting people along the way from a bear man to a scarf wielding jonin to even a fellow Konoha shinobi. As a result, he irresponsibly missed hours and hours on end of sleep. Compounding to his insomnia was the fact that he took six frickin' missions, the most dangerous ones that he'd ever done in his whole life, in fact. He literally was sleepwalking through the last two of them like a zombie; he looked almost like a drug addict, but he completed those missions successfully regardless, although barely (he got really lucky, that was for sure). When he was finally slugging his way over to the room, in Iwa's living quarters, that he was staying in during the Hokage's visit to Iwagakure, he heard news that the Hokage was set to arrive in about half a day and, equally as important, of his promotion to Tokujo by Konoha's promotion council as a result of all of his work in Iwagakure. He ended up encountering two genin, one of which he'd already met when he got lost in the tunnels (long story), who helped him with a... creative, and frankly unhealthy, "power nap" technique that at least temporarily restored his body to working condition so that he'd be able to meet the Hokage without yawning seventy times. As a reward, he took the two genin on an extremely high profile mission to kill one of the biggest leaders of Iwa's gangs, probably the hardest task that he himself had ever gone on even with the aid of the two genin.

He was just about to go and register with the administration so that he could depart the village, in fact; however, they immediately requested that he do yet another time sensitive mission for them. He didn't take too much issue with that; after all, if it was something so urgent that they didn't have the time to put it in the public dossier and wait, it must've been important. Indeed it was. Apparently a group of coyotes were lurking around the entrance to the village and were harassing residents; they just received reports that a kid was being mauled by them. He took off immediately, in hopes that he could save the kid and capture the animals so that they'd inflict no more harm.

He landed on the scene wearing his normal attire, which basically was his mission attire since he basically wore the same thing every day (he did wash it every night though, with the exception of those nights that he missed during his stay at Iwa). He was battle-ready in a black swordsman's robe, a gift from Master Piandao after finishing his apprenticeship under him. On the left hip was a bamboo sheath holding the Tentetsutou or the Sword of Heaven, the onyx black katana that Kashizudoto forged out of a four billion year old meteorite during his apprenticeship. Next to it was a coil of wire measuring about 50 meters long; the utility had been super helpful during his adventures in Iwa, whether it was for crossing a chasm without handing over his life to a total stranger, recording his path when he got lost in the tunnels, or catching a runaway criminal during a mission. He could also use it to rappel up surfaces without the aid of the Supernatural Walking Practice, propel towards a target, extend the length of the Dragon Fire Jutsu, and set up traps for enemy shinobi. Underneath the coil of wire was a holster containing three shuriken and one kunai knife, just some basic projectiles for a variety of combat scenarios.

A quick analysis of the situation revealed that the child that the coyotes had been mauling had been killed. Damn it! Maybe if he could've gotten there faster... No, he had gone as fast as he possibly could. If only he had done more training in running, then this crisis could've been averted! However, Kashizudoto knew that he could not start tearing up now or more damage would be done. He could regret later. Now was the time to act.

All five dogs seemed to coordinate their steps with each other as if they could communicate together flawlessly, beginning to encircle the tokujo with their moaths foaming. Were they rabid? All five got their hindlegs down as if they were ready to pounce. Shit. The tokujo took out his sword with his right hand, the dominant one right before they pounced. As they were in the air, he made the snake seal with his left to form a chakra barrier around him that reflected all the basic attacks of the coyotes, then dispelling it after they were back on the ground. Afterwards, he charged at one of the coyotes with his Tentetsutou flailing in the air.

The untamed dog seemed skilled, jumping backwards with remarkable reflexes for an animal. He did this as his partners all jumped at Kashizudoto, which gave the tokujo the opportunity to inflame his sword with his kekkei genkai jutsu and swing it around in a circle midair, hitting all four of them backwards with cuts in the chest measuring about 1.5 inches with third degree burns running through them, causing the coyotes to scream as they crashed to the ground. However, these animals got up with considerable determination, with more saliva dripping from their jaws.

All five dogs were still surrounding him, although four were considerably injured by his recent maneuver. They got back up and launched another coordinated series of pounces at him. As soon as one would leap, he would block them with his flaming katana. Clearly they were trying to exhaust him, who they probably detected as a prey. However, he would show them that it was very much the other way around in this scenario.

Suddenly, the young man froze for a moment, allowing one of the coyotes to pounce on him and bite him in the face, which woke him up with his trance as he immediately pushed the dog back. What was that? He attributed his inattentiveness to the sleep that he had lost, realizing that the "power napping" technique that he had done with the genin was only a temporary solution and perhaps that he was starting to get tired again. But... he couldn't get tired like this again. This blood running down his face brought new energy to him as more and more adrenaline began rushing through his body. The coyotes continued the assault, and he began blocking their attacks with a new vigor. He needed to end this soon, before he'd get drowsy again. Perhaps after this mission, he'd go jump in a lake to wake himself up again. Ya, that'd be kind of nice.

He had a great jutsu for a situation like this, but he had to make sure that it wouldn't hurt any innocent bystanders. He took a look around, 360 degrees; the people who watched on kept a great distance from the foreign shinobi and the coyotes. That was good. Now he could really finished this off. As the coyotes readied themselves for another pounce by getting on their hindlegs, Kashizudoto channeled chakra to his feet.

After a second or two, they leaped right at him, so, at that moment, he stomped on the ground. Huge spikes came out from all directions that cut through the coyotes while they were in midair and trapped all five of them, much to the amazement of the people watching. Fortunately, the body of the dead child was far away enough at this point so that the spikes didn't catch it; he wouldn't want to be hanging a kid's body off a pole or anything.

He released his kekkei genkai jutsu and created a shadow clone to go find someone to cage these animals while the original would continue to watch these coyotes in the case that they would escape. Luckily, none of them could escape his maze of spikes that had lodged themselves within the bodies of the coyotes. Eventually, the shadow clone returned with a municipal official who thanked the tokujo for his work. After the boy asked the man where the nearest source of water was to wash his face of the blood (in reality, he was planning to jump in it to wake himself up), the official responded by telling him that there was a small pond nearby within the village to clean himself up. With that, the tokujo would depart and head for the water, into which he would jump when no one was looking, which reinvigorated him once again for the timebeing. Now he would head to the Administration Building to announce his departure and unregister himself from the room that he was staying in.
