Trilby met Shibirin's eyes. There was a look of respect there he hadn't expected to see. It pleased him to meet someone so loyal and passionate. "I don't know, you might change your mind if I piss off Gin." He said slyly, chuckling to himself at the notion of being chased through the steets by that she-devil.

Shibirin followed the guy's chuckle with a laugh of his own, this one a bit stronger than his. He loved the fact that he had finally met another person who hated Gin, but sadly, it maybe just a respectful kind of hate, not the same as Shibirin. Shibirin truly hated her, but you'd need to have done the same thing Shibirin did to truly understand why the two hate each other.

"Even then, mate. Even then..." he said softly, his voice trailing off at the end. He then closed is eyes slowly, and revealed that smirk of his once more. He wasn't sleeping, just thinking to himself.

Trilby was glad he managed to get a laugh out of him, though he sensed that Shibirin genuinely hated the Kazekage. Still, who he hated was his business, not Trilbys. Still, it was time to stretch his legs, he had been sitting there for far too long. Standing up, he ran his foot along the ground, knocking up some dust, and as quick as the dust rose, he disappeared, reappearing on the wall of the arena, where the seats begin. "I never could stay still for long." he shouted to Shibirin, stretching his shoulders as he enjoyed the view from his new vantage point.

Shibirin's attention was stolen by the loose sand that had been kicked up in the air, it would prove as a disadvantage towards him in combat, but thankfully the ninja had only used to to disapear and reappear up on the wall of the arena. He then looked out towards the entrance of the Arena, and wondered just where he was going in life. Was he going to continue hating the Kazekage for something he had originaly started, or was he going to move on with his life? Til this day, he still didn't quite know the answer

"oy .... what Fu***** time is it anyways? cant be sleepin yet. nights still young."

Trilby jumped off the ledge, landing back in the dirt of the arena. "Shibirin, I propose a friendly competition. A race. What say you?" The notion seemed entertaining to Trilby. He had seen other shinobi racing each other over rooftops and through alleys around the city, and while he wasn't the fastest on his feet, he figured it would be an entertaining way to pass the time.

Shibirin paused for a second. He let the idea sink into his head before he played the entire scene in his mind. He saw him running, he also saw Trilby close behind eating his dust. There was a finish line, the resevoir, they had passed through the streets of Suna and made their way towards the resevoir, but what he couldn't see, was the winner. Was it he, or was it Trilby? He was aching to find out. "Alright then..." he began.""Lets race all the way to the resevoir. We start here, anything goes, except killing ofcourse, deal?" he continued on saying, as he now got up from his spot and dusted the sand off of his pants.

Shibirin had never raced anyone before. He never focused on speed in a battle that much, but maybe this was what he needed to boost up his speed. It'd be also a great time consumer, as the night didn't offer them much to do than sit around the arena and getting drunk.

Trilby reached into his flak Jacket and pulled out a small cloth. It wasn't ideal but hey, better a cloth than no starting signal at all. Walking over to stand shoulder to shoulder with shibirin, he held the cloth at arms length. "The reservoir, all's fair except grievous bodily harm. Understood. We go when this hits the ground."

"Three....two....one" Trilby dropped the cloth, and it gently fluttered down to the ground, before landing in the dirt.

Shibirin took his position when he saw the guy taking out some form of a small cloth, most likely to use as a starting signal. He faced towards the arena's exit, he knew where the resevoir was, he had faught and beat his old Kenjutsu instructor there once, but he never dreamed of ever re-visiting it, especially like this. It should bring back old memories.

When the cloth flattered and hit the ground, Shibirin began runnign towards the exit. He didn't know where his opponent was, becuase he couldn't afford to look back right now, it'd slow him down. He'd wait til he was sure he was ahead, then look to see how far his opponent was. At this point, he had ran past the gates and had passed one house already.

Trilby stayed in hot pursuit of Shibirin, until they exited the arena. When they reached the first house, he leapt onto the rooftops. The streets were crowded, and one could not run with full freedom with people in the way, let alone try and slow one another down. He glanced down to see his opponent charging long the street, clear of the first house at the same time trilby had reached the first house's edge. It seemed they were neck and neck.

He blazed on, unable to be taken in by where his opponent was located, the reservoir was a fair way to go yet, but Trilby had a trick or two up his sleeve to pull out when the moment arose.

Shibirin neared the bussy streets of Konoha. He saw a few people in his way and even fewer gaps to run through. It seemed that he had lost the match already, as he now saw his opponent taking his route on the roof tops. Sure, it seemed like a smart idea, but the guy had to consider the tall buildings that fed the streets of Sunagakure that lead towards the reservoir. Jumping over or even going around the buildings would consume a small amount of time. Shibirin managed to get passed the busy street, but he could see another busy crowd of people up ahead and it seemed like they were more people than before.

Shibirin decided to exit this street, and enter the one up ahead to his right. He made the turn and surely he had made the right choice: this street was empty. This meant that instead of going straight towards the resevoir, he'd need to go around a few blocks of houses to get there, but even if he had stuck with his route, he'd need to make another couple of turns before actually reaching the reservoir.

Trilby, from his higher vantage point, could see the reservoir in the distance. Glancing down, he saw his opponent running through an empty street. Now was the chance he'd been waiting for. Dog, boar, bird. Trilby quickly performed a few handseals before muttering "Doton Doryuusou no Jutsu" While he was aware that sharp spikes of earth would now be shooting out of the ground underneath his opponent, he had no time to observe the effects, as he formed the tiger seal, still running, and looked towards the Reservoir. He was almost within range... "SHUNSHIN NO JUTSU!"

Shibirin was just about to exit the street, when he started witnessing large, rocky spikes emerging from the ground beneath him. What a coincedence, he had a jutsu that could do that also, but his jutsu coud do much more than that.

He didn't stop running, in fact, he performed his jutsu whilst dodging the first few spikes that emerged, as he knew they would eventually become too difficult to dodge. Shibirin peformed the Sheep, Ram and bird hand signs, before chanting out the words, "Earth style: Earth Changing Terrain!" and as he said that, 4 large pillars appeared from the ground just in front of him. He leapt onto one, then the other, for they were all a great distance from each other, but none too great for him to jump to.

The pillars were 15 meters off the ground, tall enough to keep Shibirin at a safe height were the spikes couldn't reach him. After leaping from pillar to pillar, he jumped off of the last one, but instead of landing on the ground, he targeted for a nearby rooftop of a house. He landed on the roof, he heard the tiles underneath his feet shift, before he pushed off the roof and landed over the fence that surrounded the small desert that made up a small part of Sunagakure. He kept on running, as he could now see a large amount of water up ahead, telling him he was getting closer and closer to the finish line.

Trilby flickered forwards across many rooftops thanks to his shunshin no jutsu, and he could see before him the reservoir, just a few houses ahead. He began to run forward, when the sound of scraping caught his ear, the tiles beneath his feet were collapsing, and he tumbled down into an old, derelict house. The walls were covered in mold and it was clear it had been rotting away for some time, explaining the collapse. Trilby forced open an old window and jumped down back onto the streets, running for the reservoir.

He could see shibirin ahead of him, that damn building definitely messed with his efforts at winning this, but nonetheless, he pressed on, leaping over the fence and charging after him.

Shibirin couldn't see Trilby anywhere, this could meen two things. Either he had reached the reservoir already and was planning on taunting Shibirin for finishing late, or he was behind Shibirin and something had happened to him to slow him down, because Shibirin knew he had used the body flicker technique to jump ahead of the race, but he didn't see him land anywhere.

He looked behind him as he ran and there, he saw Trilby fall into a house. A smirk landed on Shibirin's face instantly, followed by a large chucke that turned into a horendous laugh. He was laughing a bit too much, for he couldn't see the upcoming body of water that would soon consume him without any warnings. Sure enough, he fell into the water as he reached it.

Trilby reached the reservoir just in time to see Shibirin swan dive face first into the water. Trilby was overwhelmed with laughter, and, though he normally is highly competitive, found himself not caring about losing the race. Dusting bits of old plaster off his shoulder, he approached the pool and extended his hand to Shibirin to help him up. "Nice swan dive." He said, still laughing jovially

Normally, Shibirin would get steamed up after such a thing happening to him. Normally he'd stand up and kill whoever laughed at that and swear revenge of the universe for letting such bad luck to be placed upon him, but that didn't happen. Shibirin's hand extended out of the water and grab onto Trilby's. He then, with the nin's help, pulled himself out and found his clothes were now soaked with water.

"Guess that's payback for *splurt* laughing at your epic fail," he said, as he spat out a small amount of water from his mouth. He then slowly made his way to the edge of the reservoir and sat there, all wet and tired.

"Hey, it's not my fault some idiots roof was completely rotten." he said, picking chunks of plaster board out of his hair. He sat next to Shibirin and sighed deeply. Today had been a fantastic day, even if he did get his ass kicked by a roof. Reaching into one of his flakjacket's many pockets, he pulled out a matchbox with his apartment complex's name and logo on the face, placing it next to Shibirin. "27 A." he said as he removed his hand from the matchbook and stared into the water. This was a pleasant place, he really should come here more often.

Shibirin stared at the small, piece of cardboard that was now placed besides him. It had, '27 A' written on it, he assumed this was the guy's address. This was then confirmed when the guy mentioned that this was his appartment, so he took out a pen from his shirt pockets and wrote down the number on his arm.

He then said, "Mine's 22 C" before turning over the matchbox he had been given and wrote his address on it. He then passed it over to the guy and then let his body weight be surppoted by his hands.

Trilby returned the matchbox to his flakJacket where he had originally produced it from, before undoing the zip on the jacket and putting it at his feet, followed shortly thereafter by his shirt and forehead protector. Standing up, he jumped backwards and landed face first in the water, while he hated the feeling of water on his skin, it was a welcome escape from the heat of the day. "Perhaps we shouldn't have left that alcoholic guy sitting in the arena talking to himself. He might find someone else to give free alcohol to instead of us." he thought aloud, floating on his back in the cool waters of the reservoir.

Shibirin's smile instantly dropped into a blank line. He always forgets things, but this time it was a person. "Oh c**p, you're right" he said, now pictureing a scene in his head of a mini him saying goodbye to the jellybean-tasting Vodka. He didn't like tha fact of loosing the vodka, but not as much as loosing his new friend Ryu.

The moon shone brightly above their heads, up high in the sky. Shibirin shot up to his feet, then said, "Race yuh back," so quickly that he didn't give the guy time to reply, as he now started runnign back towards the village.

"HEY, WAIT UP!" Trilby shouted after him, fumbling to get out of the reservoir and puting on his clothes as he ran after Shibirin, chasing him into the night. A poetic ending to the madness of the day. Trilby was pleased with the overall outcome, for it seems he had made his first real friend since earning his freedom.
