Ryu had needed a break from the village for a bit and so was heading to the ocean to go and relax a bit and enjoy a good time. After all it wasn't like he had any responsibilities and it was summer now in Suna. Not that winter was very cold but the summer was killer. He could barely sleep in this heat with his room above the bar having no air conditioning. It was simply torture to him to sit in that particular oven and his sheets were covered in sweat. He had woken up with dry mouth and skin and had to soak in the bath for a while to recover from his head ache. Dehydration sucked to deal with and he couldn't really prevent it. Perhaps he would save up money and buy his own air conditioner. He could hear the complaints from the other people staying there about not getting one and demanding the bar install some already. However so long as he paid for it himself and continued to supply the bar with booze since it didn't have a liscence anymore he was pretty much set there. His clan recipes had turned out after all. If he was lucky that knowledge would keep him going in the slums where the myugan didn't sell much for a time until such a time as he was caught by them. All it took was one person recognizing the flavor of the booze but that would take some pallet talent.

For the moment he was nearing the village near the southern most beach of Suna. He was in a pair of silver shorts and a white tank top. His hair was tied back in a ponytail that hung to about mid back and his muscles glistened in sun lotion and sweat from the heat and the walk. It was a considerable distance and even though he had left in the night to make up some time while it was cooler out he was just now arriving close to noon. His eye patch was a little moist but it didn't bother him as his eyes were a matter of discomfort for him. Mismatched eyes were a wicked thing and he did not care for them. People looked at you differently and stared but someone with an eye patch they avoided eye contact. Not that it always helped. Some saw it as a weakness but hey he was capable of hiding it so what did it matter? For now he was a little distracted by something. Sometime in the last mile the air had changed and a scent lingered around him lightly. It was hard to place from where he was but it was like something was burning...not like the heat off the sand dunes but like something somewhere was actually on fire. Quietly his eyes scanned above the next dune where he was walking and against hope he saw what he expected. Smoke trails rising in the distance. Great...he was either walking into a BBQ or a fight. He could hope it was food but he somehow knew it was a fight

For a moment Ryu considered just walking around this crap shoot. After all he didn't need the villages mess if he was just here for the beach. Being this far from the main village they would need to be capable of defending themselves anyway. He could just ignore them and let the strong dominate the weak as was natural. After all he was no longer an active duty shinobi. After all these years he wasn't programmed to rush into combat for people he didn't even know. Still his blue eye shifted to look up as a raven flew high above. It was just now taking off and it had a trip to get to the village. So the attack had just begun and they needed help huh? Figures that there was no shinobi currently in the village to defend them. Man he hated bandits. With a sigh he turned and began to walk in the direction of the burning village. Some Ass hole was willing to ruin his day before he even got there. If he wasn't going to take a pound of flesh out of the individual he was going to certainly leave a mark. For now he cleared the sand dune and stood there. The warm breeze fluttering his shirt a little as he looked down on the scene. People were running water to the buildings but that was just the distraction. There were five individuals on the other side of the village and they appeared to be stealing the ryo from the market. Timing eh?

Still he shook his head and hopped down the side of the dune letting his weight slide him down before catching his balance and heading into the village itself. He only had to cross two streets from his entry point before he could peak around the corner and see there were five men still. Four of them gathering what they could in black masks while the fifth was in a red mask and watched them. Freaking bandits taking what they wanted and far more than they needed. He stole to eat. They stole for luxury. He spotted that they were all turned away from him and one was fairly close. It was time to take the moment of surprise and use an equalizer. His hand reached down to grab a two by four and rapidly he moved around the corner slamming the plank of wood across the back of the first mans head with a crunching noise. He watched the mans head bounce off the wall with a blood spot where it had connected. The second turned around just in time to eat a jab to the mouth. his teeth and blood fell out as he hit the ground too. Blood on the end of the wood and in the center now. Now the main man and two remaining subordinates turned to look at Ryu. So they wanted to avenge their fallen eh? To them he probably looked like a ballsy citizen that had just possibly killed two of their friends. He could see the anger building visibly.

Ryu stood his ground and waited until the Main bad guy muttered words hardly muffled by his mask. "Kill him." Well frick a duck than. He had picked a fight with killers. How fantastic was this? Risking his life for people he didn't even know. Oh well he supposed he wasn't gonna run away either way. If he didn't stop this lot the villagers would likely die. He may have escalated the situation so he would need to deescalate the situation. He watched as the two subordinates charged him and the leader turned to leave. No time to waste huh?  Oh well he could understand that. Still he wouldn't waste any time either. These two dolts were running side by side after all. He turned the two by four long ways and chucked at them so it caught them across the chest and they would try and catch it. As they did he launched forward full speed into the air and turned to double kick the board with enough force to slam both of them back. Himself landing on his back with a thud before he grabbed the knives from the first two and flipped back up to chuck them at the retreating leader slamming knifes into the back of his knee's and dropping him. Slowly the two he just hit were recovering so he turned to them and adjusted the board over their necks before stomping on it hard enough to crack the board in half. They were not getting up any time soon. Still he disarmed them anyway as he plucked their knives. The man was trying to fight through the pain and get away again. This time Ryu flipped both Kunai and chucked them into the mans ankles. He would be useless in a fight now. The villagers could deal with this lot beat to shit and back. Still for the moment he moved over to the leader. Idly soccer kicking the man across the face with his boot. Boy he was a big un' too. If it had been a fair fight without dirty tricks Ryu would of likely been in a fairly bad situation. Still he calmly went through each of their pockets pulling out the ryo they had on them. He sighed as he counted it in his hand and shook his head. Only a 180 between the lot of them it seemed. For a moment he considered looting the village too but he would keep from being hypocritical for the day and simply continue on to the beach.
