Hyuga Miyuki

Hyuga Miyuki

It was a beautiful day in the village of Konoha. The wind was blowing through the trees, and the sun was shining. It was around 20 degrees Celsius. Miyuki just came back home from studying some books about the history of the Uchiha clan. She was sitting at the table in her living room, relaxing a bit as her parents weren't home. They left some Ryo back home for her to get some dinner, which wasn't a hard choice for Miyuki, as she has always liked ramen. She went upstairs via the staircase, as she put on her black dress and black heels which she always wears during casual occasions. After switching her clothes, she looked outside. "Such a beautiful day today.. I should train a bit tonight.." She said to herself, before walking downstairs, leaving the house after locking the door behind her.

Miyuki walked towards a stand that was near her house that sold ramen among other food. She came there quite often, as Miyuki was a huge ramen addict. She usually eats ramen after a day of hard training or just before training. When Miyuki approached the stand, she noticed that it was the same guy that usually serves her standing there. "Hey Miyuki-san, are you here for the usual order?" the man said with a bright smile while waving at Miyuki. Miyuki didn't have a lot of friends, but she could consider the man behind the stand one, even though he was probably just happy about her buying ramen all the time.

"Yes please!" She answered, before handing the Ryo over, taking a seat near the stand. The man nodded, before starting to prepare a bowl of ramen for Miyuki. "I just got done reading some books about the Uchiha clan in the library. Are the stories about the Uchiha really true? Did they really have that rough of a past in the village?" She asked, curious about the accuracy of what she read. Takashi, the man behind the stand always had stories to tell to Miyuki while she was eating, while also serving as a listening ear to her stories.

"Well.. I'm sad that most of the information you read about is sadly accurate.." Takashi started, before handing Miyuki her bowl of ramen. "Most of the clan indeed got slaughtered in the past, and in general, people do look down of them." Takashi said, with a sad look on his face. Miyuki started to slurp some of the noodles in her bowl, before continuing to ask questions. "I feel bad for them.. If I were to be hokage, everyone would be treated equally... No matter what clan they were from!" She said out loud, before finishing her bowl of Ramen. Takashi started to laugh, before picking up her bowl, giving her a free refill. "Since you are my favorite customer, you can have another one!" He said with a smile on his friend while handing her the bowl of ramen, before continuing to talk. "The Uchiha have a bad history due to their mysterious eyes, the Sharingan. People always consider them to be one of the strongest dojutsu clans, together with the Hyuga, which you should be all too familiar with." Takashi said.

Miyuki started to think while slurping up some noodles, before answering once again: "So if I am correct, they are a bit like the Hyuga clan, correct?" She asked to Takashi, who started to nod. "Both the Hyuga clan and Sharingan come from two legendary ninja, Indra and Asura. I believe the library has some books on them too, their story is quite fascinating." Takashi answered. Hyuga finished her bowl of ramen, before standing back up again, bowing down towards Takashi. "Thanks for the meal, I will probably read that book sometime soon!" She said with a huge smile on her face, before walking back home. Takashi smiled, as he waved at Miyuki.

"So they aren't that different from the Hyuga right... I hope to meet one of the Uchiha one day.." She said, before arriving at her home. She quickly switched back to her training gear, before walking towards the training ground. She was planning on practicing a few taekwando techniques today, as she felt like she was really making progress with those. As she arrived at the training ground, she noticed that she was alone there. "Strange.. there are usually a few people around.." She said to herself, before turning towards a tree. "1...2...3!" she shouted, as she hit the tree full-force with a roundhouse kick, scraping off a bit of wood. Miyuki was quite surprised at the damage she just caused to the tree. It seemed like her training was paying off. "Alright.. I mastered that technique well enough.. lets try something new!" She said to herself, as she stood back a bit. "Alright... 1.. 2.. 3!" She shouted, launching herself towards the tree, right foot first. She managed to hit the tree, but she managed to lose her balance, falling on her back. Miyuki started to laugh at her own failure.

It’s been a while since Susumu went out by himself in order to commence his training from before. Although he had definitely improved himself since his last training session, there’s no way he has reached his potential already as he strives to be the strongest around. With every step that he took, you heard the chain around his neck with a star-shaped symbol on it making the rustling sound, though this was hidden beneath the purple cloak which he was wearing. Beneath the cloak he had a black shirt and black pants, though only part of the pants was seen slipping from under the cloak. His hands were in his pockets and his blue eyes focused on the path in front of him. He had his fill of food, so he wouldn’t have to worry about that for a while and his training should be going smoothly without any growling of his stomach like most of the times. He let out a slight yawn and not even nearing his training location yet, he could already hear some of the noises coming from the training grounds up ahead in the distance. Apparently, he wasn’t the only one that thought of taking some time off to progress himself even more. While moving himself forward slowly but surely towards the noises he heard through the multiple trees ahead of him, he gazed up at the sky, the sun engulfing the earth in its solar rays. This is the kind of weather that Susumu prefers. It’s not cold, there’s no snow so there’s no way he could complain about the temperature now. How many times has he found himself in a location with a forest now? Too many times. The trees in front of him got closer and closer, moving himself through the multiple bushes and arriving at an open area, surrounding by thick and thin trees. In an open area like this and especially when no one’s around, he could easily spot the individual making those noises and creating those loud impacts on the tree, causing it to shake and have several leaves fall to the ground into the grass. It was a girl, again someone he had never met before. She sure seemed motivated to improve herself, but nowadays it’s difficult to meet someone who wasn’t motivated. Not making his presence known and just observing her from a distance, he stood there and watched her fall onto the grass as soon as she lost her balance. It was obvious to see that this girl was still an amateur. Although Susumu still hadn’t made it past Genin-rank himself skill-wise, he still noticed his form and abilities were better than hers.

Not saying a word, he just moved himself closer and closer towards the girl as he eventually stood right next to her, looking down upon her with his blue eyed gaze and not even showing the slightest movement in his muscles when doing so. He wasn’t planning to just stand there, however and opened his mouth to let some words flow out of there. “You still haven’t gotten the hang of close combat, have you?” He mentioned, pointing out the moment when she had lost her balance. In comparison to Susumu, who had already put so many training sessions in increasing his close combat skills, she was still way below him. With a snicker, he turned around towards another tree, figuring it would be time to show off his own abilities, as well. He had never shown off before in his life, in fact, he doesn’t think anyone has seen him fight yet. He narrowed his eyes, but before getting himself into some action, he used one hand to throw off the purple cloak he was wearing, revealing the black shirt and black pants underneath as well as the star-shaped necklace hanging around his neck. Raising both of his hands, he started a string of handseals necessary for the technique he’s about to perform. Upon forming the last handseal; the Tiger. He arched his back as a sign that he’s building up chakra in his throat and lungs, filling them with the element of fire. Instead of firing it off like a flame-thrower, he chose for it to fire it off as just one giant sphere and that would engulf several trees in its path. He threw his entire upper-body forward and exhaled the chakra he had built up within his lungs and throat, releasing the flaming sphere, the size of a bus into the direction of the trees. The grass that was on the path that the fire ball traveled was immediately reduced to ashes, as well as the three or four trees it hit on the way there. The sphere slowly reduced in strength and eventually vanished into thin air as it had never been there in the first place, but when looking at the place where it was supposed to be, all you could find were ashes of the trees and grass, which without even a moment’s notice were dragged along with the wind that was flowing through the training grounds. He stretched afterwards, just slightly gazing over at the girl’s location and looking back in front of himself, thinking that it could always be stronger than this fire ball was, actually being a little bit disappointed in himself. “So, you’ve just become a Shinobi?” Although it was kind of obvious, he needed to drop something in order to ‘break the ice’ so to speak.

Miyuki closed her eyes for a moment, still laughing, and when she opened them up again, she noticed a young boy standing next to her. At first she stared him straight into the eyes, as he caught her by surprise, before she jumped back up. The boy mentioned that she didn't master close combat yet. She was just told by somebody who wasn't even her age that her specialization, Taijutsu, was on the weak side!

"Well.. I slightly over trained yesterday, and it has been a long day today so I am a bit on the tired side.." She said, blushing a bit. After saying this, the boy performed an amazing fire jutsu. Miyuki was very impressed by the fire jutsu, and she even started clapping. "That was amazing!" She exclaimed, before starting to think. She wanted to show off her abilities too, but she wasn't sure if her body was ready for it, as she was quite tired at the moment, and her chakra wasn't on the high side either.

The boy asked if she just became a shinobi, which further proved that she probably was showing a lack of skill, which made her furious inside. She wasn't mad at the boy, but at herself. She had to show him her talents. "Well.. I have been a genin for a while now to be honest.." She said, before turning herself towards a tree.

"Alright Miyuki.. You can do this!" She thought to herself, as she pushed her hands together, ready to charge some air jutsu up. After a few seconds, she extended both her hands towards the tree, but nothing really happened. "Good job Miyuki.. You just made a fool out of yourself.." She thought to herself, before coming closer to the tree. She thought that showcasing her taijutsu skills was the proper solution for this problem.

"The name is Miyuki by the way... Hyuga Miyuki." She said, before turning towards the tree. She performed a roundhouse kick against the tree, the same kind of kick as before, but this time with all her power in it. She managed to make a small cut in it with her kick, but her leg suddenly started to hurt too, she probably bruised it by over training it. Miyuki refused to show that she was weak however, so she continued with a low kick straight against the tree. This time her leg hurt even more, and the tree barely responded to the kick. "Stop making a fool out of yourself!" Miyuki thought to herself, taking a bit of distance between herself and the tree, before launching herself towards it, just like before, right foot first. This time she managed to make a hole in the tree, and she kept her balance. She had other problems however: It looked like her leg was stuck in the tree, and the injury got even worse. Pain shoot through her entire body as a reaction, as Miyuki started to scream in pain. The leg probably wasn't broken, but at this state, she probably could barely use it to walk, and it was still stuck in the tree.

From the girl’s behavior, it appeared that she didn’t like the idea of being looked down upon with the question that Susumu dropped on her. It was a normal question to Susumu, though. This time, it wasn’t meant as an insult or something like that, but was a genuine question in which he was interested in knowing the answer of. Her form and everything indicated that Susumu was indeed correct, but she herself mentioned that she had already been a Genin for quite a while now. This surprised Susumu; did she follow the wrong kind of training schedule for someone like her? Or did she just not put that much effort into becoming stronger? Susumu fixated his vision on her, watching as she turned towards a tree not too far away from her. From the looks of it, she did indeed try to perform some kind of technique to show off to Susumu as well, as a response to the fireball Susumu previously executed and used to burn down the trees. Waiting in full anticipation, nothing happened in the end. The girl seemed a complete fool that didn’t even know the most simple of techniques, but Susumu wasn’t one to judge. He had seen many people that are the same as her, but still have bottomless potential. Therefore, because of this, he sees her as a potential  threat, much like he sees anyone as one. It seemed like she had given up to showing off, instead moving closer to the tree. Was it time for Taijutsu? Susumu shoved both of his hands back into his pockets and turned his entire body towards the girl. He was intrigued in what she had planned, considering her previous technique had failed on her.  She gave a simple introduction, just stating her name and nothing else, followed by a display of her Taijutsu abilities. The name Hyuuga certainly rang a few bells within that head of his, finally making sense why she switched from ninjutsu to taijutsu, probably being more experienced in that specialization. The roundhouse kick wasn’t too bad from Susumu’s point of view, creating a crack in the bark of the tree. You could hear it crack from where Susumu was standing. The second kick she showed, however, obviously had less strength in it than the kick from before. This could only mean she’s either exhausted from training for that long, or that she had injured herself.

After her second kick, Susumu decided to work in an introduction as well. “Uchiha Susumu is my na-” He stopped in the middle of his sentence, although he had already stated his own name. His voice was overpowered by the loud crack heard coming from Miyuki’s location and Susumu had witnessed everything that happened. Putting her weight into the kick, she did manage to cause much damage to the tree, even bursting a hole in the trunk, showing that she did have some strength in those legs of hers, but Susumu couldn’t hold his laughter seeing what happened afterwards. Not even trying to hold in his laughter, he burst out holding his stomach, almost crying out in tears from what he just saw. His laughter got interrupted however as soon as the girl screamed out in pain, which made Susumu realize that this wasn’t just some minor injury. Walking towards her, though with a little rushed pace and his hands still in his pockets, he observed the way her leg was stuck and how deep it sunk into the tree. It seemed that it wasn’t a life-threatening nor limb-threatening situation, but Susumu couldn’t help but joke around a little bit. Keeping a serious expression on his face, not even giving off a chuckle, he assessed the situation and gave her an analysis, put really blunt.  “Well..” He began, looking from left to right for a moment to make it seem like he’s really thinking about the words he would speak. “Looks like we’ll have to amputate this leg.” He mentioned, the tone in his voice couldn’t get more serious than that, looking Miyuki into her eyes. He didn’t want her to freak out, however and cause a scene, so intently let out a chuckle and moved towards her leg. “This isn’t a big deal. I’ll get this one out for you, but you owe me.” He pulled both of his hands out of his pockets and wrapped them around the leg of the girl. Carefully wiggling it a little bit to see how much room she had, he slowly but surely moved up her leg and by using his other hand to stabilize her back and thus her form so she wouldn’t topple over, slowly removed the leg from the tree trunk. At least her leg had been released and she wouldn’t be in any more further danger, but training further is probably out of the question, although she thinks she can go on with it. “That kick of your did have the strength, it just had an unfortunate.. slightly funny ending.” He stated, releasing her leg with his hand and removing the other from her back, thinking she might be able to keep herself standing on her own from now on.

As soon as Miyuki heard the boy say he was from the Uchiha clan, she started remembering what she read before. A long while ago, before she was born, the Uchiha clan used to live in peace with Konoha, but everything changed when somebody called Itachi slaughtered almost the entire clan, leaving few survivors. That among other issues caused the Uchiha clan to be in a weird situation. It also made sense to her why they weren't a Konoha clan anymore. She also heard from the ramen vendor, Takashi, that they were looked down upon by others, and often mistrusted due to issues the clan had in the past, mainly resolving around a person called Uchiha Madara and a certain Obito Uchiha. They apparently tried to destroy the entire Shinobi civilization. Susumu's earlier usage of fire jutsu showed this Uchiha power before, it was quite frightening. She also realized that their clans were quite similar. Maybe she and Susumu could become friends?

Due to her long chain of laughter, she barely noticed Susumu laughing at her current... situation. The boy inspected her leg, before concluding that her leg probably had to be amputated, while he looked Miyuki straight into the eyes with a serious look in his face. "NOOO!" She screamed out loud, hearing that her leg had to be amputated, believing Susumu was actually speaking the truth. "This can't be happening to me.. I still have so many things to achieve... I want to show the world that everyone can be strong if they want to... I wanted to proof to the world by becoming hokage.. But now my dreams are ruined..." She said with a sad tone in her voice, as tears started rolling out of her eyes. As she started to cry, she noticed Susumu let out a chuckle, indicating that it was just a prank. Miyuki started to blush a bit, as she realized she just made a fool out of herself.

"This isn’t a big deal. I’ll get this one out for you, but you owe me." The boy stated, before helping Miyuki with her little situation. Miyuki tried to stand after Susumu released her, barely being able to stand, as her leg was hurting pretty bad. Miyuki extended her hand towards Susumu, more specifically her pinky finger, before she spoke up. "I, Hyuga Miyuki, hereby promise to pay you back for saving my leg, no matter what I have to do to pay you back." She stated, with something resembling a smile on her face, as smiling was a problem in her current situation. "I am afraid I will owe you another one, as I don't see myself walking back home or towards the nearest hospital in this situation.. My leg simply hurts too much.." She stated, as she sighed. "I trained myself way too hard yesterday.. I guess these are the consequences for refusing to use Gentle Fist.." She stated, as a sad look appeared on her face. Miyuki used to refuse using Gentle Fist, but recently she started training it a little bit, putting her behind others in her clan. She wanted to prove to others that you don't need to be from a good clan to be strong, but maybe her way of the ninja was wrong?

The injuries were more severe than Susumu first anticipated. She was barely keeping her ground while leaning on that injured leg. Before the girl called Miyuki even uttered the words to explain that she wouldn’t be able to go anywhere on her own like this, Susumu had already thought of him getting himself into a weird situation like this. Never in his life would he think that he’d be helping someone from this village, but I guess he wasn’t that cold-hearted either to leave someone, who doesn’t have anything to do with his grudge, all here by herself and injured, at that. At least, she promised that she would repay the debt for pulling out that leg of hers from the trunk of the tree. A Hyuuga could certainly come in useful for Susumu, perhaps there was a way to get her on his side into taking down Sousetsu, but her being a Shinobi from this village might make Susumu rethink that option twice. He didn’t know whether or not the girl had strong ties to this village and could indeed raise an alarm were Susumu to announce to her that his goal is to take down Sousetsu. Were he to get her to his side, he’d have to twist his words around a little bit. It’s called manipulating, but Susumu didn’t tend to see it like that. He sighed first, wrapping his own pinky around hers. This was really unusual for Susumu. But at least, their promise had been official. He didn’t say a word and almost immediately went inspecting the leg once more by going through his knees and looking at it from up close. “Your leg hurting too much isn’t the cause from overtraining yourself. That should be obvious. Getting stuck in the tree was your problem.” He began. He really stated the obvious, maybe being a little bit harsh with the tone in his voice.

In addition to that, it’s never good to push your body to train each and every day. No matter the person, what kind of body they were born with. Each of them needs their rest otherwise they’ll collapse before reaching the strength you so much desire.” He spoke from experience. He, too, had trained himself day in, day out until he came to the realization that it wasn’t really the correct way of developing yourself. “Personally, in the times of rest, you’re better off training yourself mentally, rather than physically. It’s strengthens your mind and you might be able to keep more of your focus.” He mentioned. It was indeed what Susumu believed himself. You wouldn’t be wearing down your own body, but actually your mind. The training works in shifts, but it basically leaves you with barely any day off if you split physical and mental training throughout the week. The Gentle Fist was something he never even heard of. Was it some kind of signature move from the Hyuuga Clan? Although the clans seemed similar, he barely heard any tales about them from his father, let alone anyone else. This girl here had a lot to teach him about the Hyuuga Clan, it seems. Yet another thing that he can add to his knowledge in the future. Susumu placed his hand on the side of her arm, keeping her in balance so she wouldn’t tumble over. Maybe it was indeed better for her to sit down rather than to keep standing. “Perhaps it’s best if you’re going to sit down for now, if you want to lurk around a little longer. If not, we’ll be heading to the hospital right about now. It’s your call.” He mentioned. There was definitely more he wanted to learn about her clan, as well about herself. But if the leg was bother her enough to keep her mind off the conversation, it would indeed be best to bring her for some treatment.
