There once was a boy named Elin
He so badly entered a tournament he felt so greatly he should win
He faced a boxing kangaroo
Even a magician too

He was not sure where he would go or how he would train
But he chose to return home even in the depths of the rain
I feel as though this will be the end he thought
But then remembered what his master had taught

In time he knew he would have to train for the day
The day when his master would go away
It was this time that he would once again take up the bow
And in the end his debt he would now fully owe

He shot an arrow into the clouds
He looked around and cleared the shrouds
He laid down his bow and took up the sword
In a world where even the greatest excitement can leave you bored

He looked up to the endless abyss
The sky and the clouds all a miss
As he raised his sword up unto the sky
He knew this was no toy and that holding it you had to be prepared to die

In the prophecy of stories foretold
In the fantasy of dreams so bold
He brought down his blade
So that with it his resolution could be made

He swung to the left and swung to the right
He was prepared to train here all night
As he began to think back on that time
A time before reason and rhyme

A soundless voice
An endless choice
Within the realm of his imagination
He had the dreams that could build a nation

The small beatings of a small heart within a small world
What was it that these hands wished to build
As he changed his stance spreading his legs open
He prepared to himself as he wished to save a world long since broken

He held the blade with both hands as he drove it along the ground
As he swung the blade into the air as it echoed a sound
A sound that would be heard by those who chose to listen
This boy of destiny, this boy who was chosen

It was only in time he would understand why the monk left him all alone
The reason why the best thing for him was to be on his own
To find a path that was not guided by others but driven by his own will
The will that chooses to never give up until

Until the moment in which he finally finds himself
That day he lost everything as the time closed in to twelve
They had been ambushed as he made a mistake he should never have made
The price he soon would realise had already been paid

Will he overcome his weakness or will he fall
Will he be deaf or will he hear the call
The call to rise and the idea to realise that in the end as he creeps closer to his demise
A man once wise hidden beneath a disguise hiding the truth in plain sight with true lies

The boy was getting closer to his moment he could call his own
The moment hidden deep within the empty zone
A zone hidden within the depths of a still beating heart
A heart that in this peaceful world of hidden wars was being torn apart

The boy fell to his knees as he dropped to the ground as his hair dripped pools of sweat
He was tired, but he had no reason to quit when he could not forget
He could not forget how weak he was and how he had failed
That moment when he knew he could win, yet had bailed

He was not the perfect little boy
He was in no way any girl's toy
However one girl had moved his heart swiftly
While another moved his heart greatly

How could he choose
Which ever path he took would he always lose
His emotions had gone wild
While in his heart his mind was being defiled

He could not understand and no one could explain
A world he could not grasp deep within the eternal pain
A loss he had forgot, a loss he never knew
A person in his dreams telling him that "I miss you"

What was it that was troubling him and what was this sin
Could he understand if he did it all again
As the light of the moon showed him the glimmer of hope within the dark night
As within his sight all he could see was the struggle of a bloody fight

Soon it came that the boy awakes
As the ground moved as he felt as the earth shakes
Earthquakes, hidden deep within small breaks
As he soon learns that this is what it takes

Falling slowly, falling fast
Is it the weather, this late forecast
As his mind collapses deep within the past
He feels an updraft and as the earth deems him an outcast

He looks around as he sees a smile
It had to be someone he had not seen in a while
It could not be, how could it be
He was never ever suppose to come back for me

Elin, my son I have a message for you
The time will come, when you will meet me again
That is when, your eyes need to see what is true
In that moment, I may no longer be your friend

Why, what is going on, where did you go
Please come back I have to know
You here right now, why you speaking like you not here
I can see you, so why do you fill me with so much fear

You see young Elin, this is how it will end
For I will return an enemy long before I could ever be a friend
You will not remember this now
But soon will come the time for you to find out.

As the boy soon awoke from his dream as he lay peacefully on the grass with his sword next to him
