Well now.. it was time to stop being lazy. The male had several ideas in his mind for new techniques, but an idea was useless until it stopped being an idea and became reality. And so... now. Now as the time, this was the place, and in his mind, he could do fucking anything once the lines between ideas and reality were blurred.

The predawn silence was quite nice, especially for this time of the year. It was still cool this early in the morning the predators of the night were hunkering down in their respective nests, preparing to sleep through the day. The fauna of the day were stirring, silently thanking whatever god that watched over them that they made it through another night. At least, that is what the male believed.

It was in the middle of a clearing in which the male sat, cross-legged. He was dressed for training, very different that his formal wear; a ragged shorts over bare feet. He was shirtless at the moment; the morning wind felt really good to him, on his skin. Besides, he liked to practice his techniques with little restrictions before testing them in combat. His skin seemed to shine in the dim lighting, casting low light on the grass around him.

Blue eyes were closed to the world, his mind lost in quiet meditation. In his mind, he was seated in a vast cathedral. The world around him was pitch black, save for a single candle. As Samael focused on that candle, the flame split itself into two. As the male watched, those two flames split themselves into four, eight, sixteen, thirty-two. On and on the flames split and multiplied, increasing until they became a roaring inferno, threatening to burn down the cathedral. And through all this, the male did not move, watching the location of the initial candle. 

This fire... this fire is out of control. Burn this place, burn this place!

He wasn’t afraid of it; this fire. It was his own fears, and to Samael, fear had no place in his mind, in his life. He would not allow it. No, he would rather die than let fear stop him. So long as the male conquered his mind, the world was nothing to him; a mere prison to house, restrict, and bind the weak, those unable to break themselves free of all restraints. He would not be one of those people.

In the real world, the body stirred, slowly climbing to his feet. Those blue eyes opened to the world, determination forming in them. His right hand opened, and almost instantly, the comforting feel his own chakra filled it. A moment later, the male repeated the process with his left hand; the male then focused his chakra, pictured out his intentions, and made them a reality. At his mental command, his chakra left his body, and bent reality around his body, giving birth to what should not have been there, what should have been impossible to force into reality; several orbs created from his chakra, the very mystical force that gave his body life. There were five in number, each one identical to the ones the male held in his hands in every way, save for their strength. Their strength was not his equal; not yet. In time, as the truth was realized, they themselves would equal his power. But everything happened in due time. Right now, the focus was something else; there was still the matter of forcing several ideas to become a reality...

For the moment, the male would amuse himself with his creations, juggling the balls of chakra in the air. He would use these for the moment, practicing his fine control by putting the balls through a small set of movements; lifting them into the air, sending them out as far as he could control them and bringing them back towards himself. With each push and pull, he could feel the process becoming easier, the manipulation becoming more natural to him. The male almost smiled; it seemed that he would soon enough be able to make full use of his vast chakra pool. He still had a long way to go, but progress was progress, no matter how small it was.

After several minutes of manipulating the five balls of chakra in the air, the Blue Devel decided that it was time to move on with his training. While he knew that outright manipulating his chakra into different shapes and elements was garunteed to increase his prowess with Ninjutsu; he knew that stressing the basics of any ability was always helpful when attempting to form more complicated techniques. Afterall, a complicated technique was nothing more than the basics being multiplied to various degrees, giving birth to something that was on a whole new level of power. This was nothing new to him; Samael often practiced the basics of his abilities for hours on end before actually getting into the real reason of his training.

Everything has a rule, a code that they follow. When you know the rules of the game, you will know how far you can go with bending them to suit your needs.

If he was going to break free of this prison, this lie that called itself reality, he would need to be well versed in the rules. Being well versed in the rules meant constant practiced, something he had no problems with doing. In time, he would combine his power of manifesting his will into reality with his ability to rewrite the laws of the natural world at will, Ninjutsu and Fuinjutsu respectively, but for the moment, he needed more power. His control needed refining. Everything in due time.

With a wave of his hand, and an intent of thought translated into a command for this prison to obey, the floating balls of chakra were dispersed back into nothing, and the Blue Devil would move on to his next training. He would sit down upon the warming sands of the desert, legs folding beneath his body in the lotus position. The balls of chakra he held in his hands would shimmer and change somewhat: the ball held within his left hand transitioning into his primary element, igniting itself into a micro sun who's fury was held at by the sheer force of Samael's will: the right would transition itself into a howling sphere of winds that clashed within the barrier the male held them in. As the male settled himself into a confortable position, he would close his eyes, and turn his mind inward once more.

Remember the basics of your training. Start at the very begining, Samael. What was the first thing they taught you at the academy and at the monastary?

Chakra. Chakra is essential to even the most basic technique. Through various methods, the most common of which is hand seals, chakra can be controlled and manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire, or creating illusions. Chakra is ordinarily not visible to the unaided eye unless it is highly concentrated or manifested in large amounts.

Good, good. Now, according to the monks, how was chakra introduced into the world?

Chakra originally belonged to the Shinju. When Kaguya Ōtsutsuki ate the fruit that Shinju bore, she became the first person in history to wield chakra. With her new-found power, she ended all the wars that plagued the lands. Her sons, Hamura and Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, were the first people to be born with chakra. Hagoromo spread chakra to others through a practice called ninshū, intending to create peace by using the chakra to connect people's spiritual energy so that they would understand one another without even talking. However, the people did not use chakra in the way Hagoromo hoped, instead using it to connect their inner spiritual and physical energies. They kneaded their inner chakra to amplify and weaponise it, creating what is now known as ninjutsu.

Since being spread by Hagoromo, better known as the Sage of the Six Paths, chakra has become a form of life energy that all individuals produce to some degree; those who run out of chakra will die. Produced within the "chakra coils" that mainly surround and connect to each chakra-producing organ, the energy circulates throughout the body in a network called the "Chakra Pathway System", which is similar to the cardiovascular system. Certain groups, such as shinobi, have learned to generate more chakra and release it outside their bodies through pressure points called tenketsu in order to perform jutsu. Chakra is not normally visible to the human eye, though it can be seen in situations where a person releases as much of their chakra as possible. This is rarely seen due to the restrictions of eight specific tenketsu known as the Eight Gates, which limit the amount of chakra an individual can release at a single given time

Chakra is created when two other forms of energy, known collectively as one's "stamina", are moulded together. Physical energy is collected from each and every one of the body's cells and can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. Spiritual energy s derived from the mind's consciousness and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience. These two energies becoming more powerful will in turn make the created chakra more powerful. Therefore, practising a technique repeatedly will build up experience, increasing one's spiritual energy, and thus allowing more chakra to be created. As a result, the ninja is able to do that same technique with more power. This same cycle applies for physical energy, except the ninja needs to increase their endurance instead.

At any given time, a ninja will have a "maximum" amount of chakra that they can form and use before it runs out and they need to rest to replenish it. With practice this maximum can be increased, but to a certain extent they are limited to the quantity and strength of chakra that their genetics grants them; Samael remembered that according to the monks, he was blessed with a particularly large and vibrant chakra pool.

Each person's chakra is different and as such gives off a unique chakra signature, which sensor type ninja are able to detect. Chakra signatures are passed genetically, allowing a person's clan to be identified by their chakra; over time, entire populations can have perceptibly different chakra. Each person's chakra also has a unique "color" that can be seen by those with dōjutsu.

While practically all types of jutsu require chakra to be performed, taijutsu does not; stamina is all that is needed. While the ninja still needs a set amount of chakra to live, regular taijutsu doesn't require any active moulding or manipulation of chakra, with few exceptions. A standard attack like a punch or kick falls into this technique category. For Samael, this was a particular blessing; the monks of the monastary taught exclusively taijutsu and the art of using chakra to enhance one's body. Samael was no stranger to empowering his body with chakra in order to achieve wonderous effects. But there was more.

What did else did that teach you, Samael?

Chakra Control.

Good. What was so important about Chakra Control? Do you remember?

Because chakra takes time and a great deal of training to gradually build up, the key to its use is not actually having chakra but instead being able to sufficiently control and conserve it. This is called chakra control. In order to have good chakra control, a ninja should only mould as much chakra as they need to perform a given ability. If they mould more chakra than is needed, the excess chakra is wasted and they will tire out faster from its loss. If they don't mould enough chakra, a technique will not be performed effectively, if at all, likely creating problems in a combat situation.

Good. Now, how did one train thier chakra control, Samael?

General training methods for improving one's moulding and manipulation of chakra are the Leaf Concentration, Tree Climbing, and Water Surface Walking exercises. A good way to build up chakra in the body is to spin it into a tight spiral; Whether to spin the chakra left or right is dependent on the way the user's hair grows. Hand seals are often used to manipulate chakra more easily, allowing shinobi to execute their techniques faster and more effectively.

And once you've mastered chakra control? What then?

You create Ninjutsu. When creating a ninjutsu, the two methods of manipulating chakra are referred to as shape transformation and nature transformation. Shape transformation deals with controlling the form, movement, and potency of chakra. Nature transformation deals with changing the physical properties of chakra into an element. There is also the nature transformation of Yin and Yang, which deals with changing the ratio of spiritual and physical energies within chakra. These two methods can be implemented separately or together in order to create a technique, though ninja who can use both simultaneously are said to be rare.

As the mind remembered and processed the information, the body was not without motion; the hands were brought together in an to attempt to 'fuse' the balls of chakra into one. The fire orb would absorb the wind orb, draining its power into itself and strengthening itself into something more and growing larger. The male would remain motionless in his meditation, mind processing the information on repeated as he attempted to open his subconciousness to the universe. As he meditated, he came to a slow realization that everything he wished to do, he would need to learn to break down the barriers that seperated himself from the rest of the world. He would need to open himself to everything that this world had to offer, and accept it. Only then would he be influence and manipulate the world in the manner he wished. And so, he would do just that; he would open himself to the universe, and learn from it until he was able to take control of it.

This world is mine for the taking. I will take it all, and become king! No one will stop me.
