Today was the day godric thought to himself as he got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to shower, his excitement grew as he finished and began to get dressed, he had heard a lot about mt. Ikkyu since his arrival in the hidden cloud village and today he was going to climb it. He did not care about the shops or any of the tourist attractions he had been told about, not even the hot springs although it would be nice to have a nice soak in one that was not the reason behind his trip today, for today he only cared about one thing climbing to the top and putting all of his focus on his training. Godric looked into his bag to make sure he would have everything he needed for the journey, his single kunai and three shuriken tucked away inside one of his item pouches on his belt, a nice large jug of water took up most of the space inside his bag while hidden  in a water proof sack, in case the water jug was to leak, sat some pre-rolled herbal cigarettes he had prepared the night before. Once he was sure he was ready he headed out the door and turned to head towards the gate of the village, this would be his first time leaving the village since he had arrived almost three weeks ago and he just hoped that after his trip up mt. Ikkyu he would still be allowed to return, if not then he would pay no mind to it other than the fact that he had been enjoying himself while he had been there. As he walked through the gate of the great hidden cloud village he waved to the guard on duty, hoping it would be the same one when he returned so he would not get stopped and have to be reprocessed into the village. As he walked down the path that lead to the base of Mt. Ikkyu he could barely contain his excitement of what he had planned for the day to come, since his arrival in the village hidden in the clouds he had been a little slacking on his training getting too use to the life within a village he was becomes ng weak and that was something that he could not let happen that was what today was all about.

Weakness would not be acceptable they could show up at any time to try and take him back, although he was not a criminal in the official sense he had abandoned his tribe and in there eyes he is a fugitive and they would not just let him leave without a fight, he had already dealt with at least 12 assailants before he had crossed the border into kaminari no kuni since then he had not seen a sign of them. The peacefulness of his time since then had been blissful, however it also lead to him growing soft and now he had to toughen up or he might run into trouble. Godric's thoughts were cut short as he snapped back to reality noticing he had reached the base of the great Mt Ikkyu, as he gazed up towards the peak of the mountain he wondered just what was waiting for him on this climb. He did not plan to take the normal pathway in which most tourist took, no he was here for the training and challenge and he didn't see any better way of starting his training then by rock climbing his way up the mountain without the use of his chakra.

The climb up the mountain was not that eventful, he stayed to the task of climbing the mountain and avoid all roads as well as any of the other travelers that may also be going up the mountain. The climb was dangerous and he had a little trouble in a couple of places where there were loose rocks that slipped out from underneath him and caused him to almost fall from his spot where he was at, luckily for him he was able to grab hold of a lower grip hold and he was able to make it to where he did not fall very far. About half way up the mountain he found himself in a small clearing that he chose to use as a rest area, throwing his bag to the ground after grabbing his water container out of it, taking a big swig out of it before tossing it onto the ground next to his bag and walking over to the shadow of a near by tree and lying down in its shade looking up at the sky above him as he laid there. The smell of lavender was in the air and filled his nostrils as he slowly drifted off to sleep, as he lied there in his dreamland the thoughts of his time training with Rukasu flooded back to his memory.

It was when they were just children a mere eight years of age and had been playing a game of king of the hill, Rukasu was always able to beat him and knock him off the hilltop and keep the title of king of the hill. But this time, this time it was different Godric was determined to prove that he was just as good if not better than his best friend and he knew that in order to do that he had to get to the top of the hill and manager to knock Rukasu down and then ensure that he stayed down for at least two minutes in order to be declared the king of the hill. "Are you giving up Godric, you only have a few more seconds before I am the king of the hill for another day" Rukasu laughed.

Laughter leaked through the realm of his dream and into reality, awakening him in a hurry. looking around quickly thinking that someone might be hiding nearby to try and take him out he jumped to his feet before grabbing his bag and looking all around him for any signs of nearby people. That is when he saw them a group of young kids walking up the mountain path headed for the path of clearing that he was now standing in, Godric figured that it would be best for him to head back out and get to the top of the mountain, as he continued up the mountain he did not run into anyone else and after he got to the top and carved his name into one of the rocks at the top before starting down the mountain using the path this time as going down the way he came up would be very difficult.
