Masayoshi Mari

Masayoshi Mari

C-Rank Mission:

Senseless violence is nothing but that... senseless.

Frankly the girl wasn’t sure why she had decided to take upon a mission when she was supposedly here to simply witness the chuunin exams. But it was perhaps her natural morality that forced her to take action when she saw a wrong being done. She also wasn’t quite sure how she ended up passing by the Kumo mission board in the first place, yet here she was making her away to some street in this foreign village to go and take care of some criminal delinquents. Maybe this was that ‘missionary of justice’ side to her finally showing some light in its natural form, the raison d’tre of her clan that the girl believed in  yet never truly felt she could fit into it.  In any case it was a simple wrong that needed to be corrected, and Mari just happened to be in the right place in the right time.

She sighed to herself as she walked along the street, nothing too out of ordinary as it seemed, her slow walking displayed a relaxed demeanor. The day was nice enough for a day in Kumo, white clouds covered the picturesque mountain landscape. It was relatively at peace for what the girl had experienced of Kumo so far, until she heard the raucous noise of yelling and screaming and some breaking of what sounded like windows.

The girl immediately sped up to a run, reaching a crowd of people at the end of the street and connecting alleyway, being short as she was she could not see above the crowd, but now could hear clearly the voices of those in the center of the crowd.

”You’re a just drunk, Aoshi! And you’re saying that you’re better than me?!”

”Tsk, you’re just a kid, Nakai. If you could settle this like a man, we wouldn’t have a whole crowd lookin’ at us.”

Mari sighed, this must be said disturbance of peace. She couldn’t really care for what it was about, drunkenness? Or perhaps some disagreement while under the influence?  Being so young, alcohol was something she had not delved into far at all. Both men seemed to slur in their words, though she was a little bit away so she couldn’t quite tell from all the yelling. Unfortunately she would not be able to help in any way as long as she couldn’t see in situation at hand.  She looked to her left, and then to right, seeing the perfect way to get a vantage point. Excusing herself past a few of the gathering crowd, the girl made it to the wall of the empty alley and ran up it to the roof. Standing on the edge of a top of a building, she looked down about two stories to see a group of five men. The two men yelling the loudest were likely the earlier named “Aoshi” and “Nakai.” The one referred to as “Nakai” was shorter with orange hair, he had been the first to raise his voice, which included some rather colorful language. The one called “Aoshi” was slightly taller, with darker, messier hair. The dark haired man stood with two other tall men beside him, while the other only had on other man to back him up.

”A real man wouldn’t fuck with another’s girl!”

”A real man wouldn’t let his girl get stolen so easily, perhaps that says something about yourself.”

Is that what this was all about? A simple love triangle? It would seem that drunkenness truly does bring need for useless violence over something that should be handled with a bit more finesse. And perhaps it would be resolved more calmly if the woman which was the cause of the argument was there to sort things out herself. However, such a solution would likely not be an option since that woman appeared nowhere in sight.  This wasn’t a “justice” that needed to be served, but more a personal problem the girl wished she did not have to solve, nor did she think she could.

While she was criticizing the situation, the sudden sound of yelling that was not dialogue, but instead the sounds of people partaking in combat. The two called Aoshi and Nakai had stopped with their talk (yelling) and starting throwing punches and several shoves back and forth. Upon closer inspection, Mari saw the man called Aoshi wasn’t partaking in the fist fight just yet, instead allowing the two man who had stood beside him to fight his accuser and his lone supporter. Now that was an unfair action, even after the entire exchange this “Aoshi” would not dare fight for himself?

This action was one Mari could not easily forget. From the beginning of this mission, she had little motivation to continue until this moment in which she saw an injustice worthy of her time. She stepped up onto the ledge of the building, then jumped down to land in the center of the men’s confrontation.

”You men are currently disturbing the peace of this village. I must ask you to respectfully end your argument here and resume in a place not of public viewing, where your personal issues may not come to the unnecessary inconvenience of others around you.” She stood straight, and though she stood far shorter than the any of the men, she held an aura of authority that none of them had been confronted with, making all five of them stare at here with surprised curiosity. Her eloquent form of the order to go away was not clear for any of the men as they stood there dumbstruck at her sudden appearance.

The man called Aoshi did not care to listen to her, instead casually walking up the girl with a smirk on his face.

”Listen gal, I don’t got time to deal with little shits who make it their business to get in the business of others. So, get outta here will yah? Or else I’m gonna hafta to make you go.”

Standing in such close proximity with the man allowed the scent of alcohol obvious, the girl held a neutral expression on her face as she felt disgusted by his presence. She simply sighed, knowing full well the man underestimated her. The girl tensed her arm, feeling the small concentration of chakra at the center of her palm. She then proceeded to knock him back with a thrust of her palm, directly into the pair of men that had once fought under his order, sending all three to the ground in a heap.

The remaining two, Nakai and whoever was with him, glared at the girl rather ungratefully.

”Hey! What the-? Forget it!” The fiery redhead did not seem to appreciate at all the fact the girl defeated the men he thought he deserved to fight. He charged toward her, along with the other man, the girl forced chakra into her legs, jumping up into the air as the two were about to hit her. She landed on top of the redhead, pinning him to the ground with her legs. The other man turned around quickly, attempting to hit the girl in the back of the head. She ducked down, and as he missed, grabbed his hand and pulled him down to the ground. He landed hard, hitting the back of his head with a loud groan.

She looked down the man she was on top of, he seemed to have trouble breathing as she sat on top of his chest. The knock down likely knocked the wind out of him, before he lost any more air she stood up, allowing him to breath. ”As I said before, you are disturbing the peace of this and with your argument now at a halt, I suggest you resolve it in a more private place.”  While she had send all of the men down, she did not cause permanent damage. She hoped that her intervention would prevent them from such public displays of argumentation once again.
