Hnnn, too many people, too many threats. He was getting exceptionally paranoid lately, due to all the untreated issues surrounding things that had happened to him over the year. He saw civilians as assassins and ninja as enemies; although to be fair he'd been horribly mistreated by his classmates and most of his teachers in the academy, left without a sensei for the longest time, and had read the reports from the police when his 'father' was killed, and the fact that it was almost sure that a civilian had done that... yeah.

The tiny little summoner was not fond of crowded areas.

However, he was out of supplies, and while he could go a good two week between meals, he did need to eventually stock up on something. Juices, fruits, candied fruits, ninja supplies; the essentials. He wasn't frugal as much as he just didn't need or want anything. He barely ate; he bought strong, well made clothing that he could repair easily and never wore out; his apartment was functional, if small. A single room with a kitchenette again one wall and a private bathroom (his only splurge), although he was lucky enough that his building owner/landlord had a communal washing machine that he was able to use. He was fine with his utilitarian table, a warm fuuton pad with the extra blankets, and his wall heater. The walls where mostly bare; only a few decorative scrolls with summoning seals and such represented on them, and a single bookshelf packed with ninja guides and the like on it.

His fridge was in the same shape. Only a few items sitting on bare shelves; bowls and bags of fruits, a quart a milk, and maybe some eggs if he felt like it; a loaf of bread sitting on top of it in a container to keep it clean and soft. The rest of the kitchen was empty; beyond his one plate, bowl, cup, and set of utensils.

It made his trips to the market short. A quick run to the fruit stalls, a run to the egg vendor, grab some milk on the way out, done. He baked his own bread, usually; but he had plenty of that, so he didn't need to pick up materials for that.

He was moving between the stalls, crossing the streets and alleys filled with non-food items on his way to the farmers sections; attempting to avoid any and all contact in all forms with anyone and everyone he came across.

Too bad it was never that easy.

All he knew was that he was walking one moment, and on the ground the next; his shoulder burning painfully, ankle aching from being twisted, and a massive fucking golem of a man looming over him with a look that was 1 part moron, 3 parts troll. Wonderful.

The troll-man had nearly run him over, but the expression of anger on his face told that he blamed Hisoka for the contact. "Little boy, you get in my way!? Apologize before I break you!"

"You ran into me, troglodyte."

"What did you call me!?" The troll raised a foot, aiming to stomp the genin into powder, apparently. Wonderful days, yep.

Another day, another hour, another minute.

Time meant little to someone with nowhere to be.

Not that she cared. She had no where to be because she was not known to the people of the world. For all she knew, she was alone in this world.

Well, not really alone. She had one confort in this world; her name. Kasai Metsuryū, the child no one knew of. Not that she minded. She'd seen day after day what it looked like to be the 'child' of someone; mothers nagging and yelling at thier daughters to stand up straight, stop slumping, act more lady-like. She didnt have that, and was somewhat glad for it. There seemed to be perks of being alone with no parents. No one to tell you 'Hey! Don't do that! Put on a shirt!" like this elderly woman currently was...

Red eyes would stare at the female for a moment a frown on her face. In Kasai's eyes, she was dressed quite fine; a sarashi across her sizable bust to cover the important parts, and red hakama pant hugging her hips, seeming to defy gravity. Bare feet tapped the dirt of the market road, the frown slipping into an annoyed scowl. Who was this woman to tell her what to wear? Kasai was only buying apples from her, not a lecture. In silence, Kasai placed her payment onto the stall counter, and walked away. While most people would have expected a normal teen to argue with an adult they didnt know, Kasai was not one to do so. Not that she could, anyway.

With the apples in her pack the female walked on, slipping between the crowd with relative ease. The afternoon sun shown down on the market, yet the air was still cool. It was still early enough that she didnt need to start worrying about a place to stay for the night, and yet late enough that she needed a to eat something. Producing an apple from the pack, the female bit into the sweet fruit, savoring the bite as she went along.

Those red eyes took in the sights of the village; what seemed to be a normal afternoon in Konoha. She hadn't been here long; a few days in fact, having traveled from a minor village in search of information. There was so much to learn in this grand place; Kasai could really see why it was named as one of the five great ninja villages. But like every village, it had it bad apples. Not the one she was biting into or in her pack [she hoped], but rather what she saw before her; a smaller male was knocked to the ground by a much larger male. In a perfect world, this was something that should have been easily solved with a smile and an apology. But this was not a perfect world, this was reality, and this was Konoha at that. Even from this distance, Kasai could hear the callous exchange of words, and rolled her eyes. Testosterone. Lovely.

But what she saw next would upset her, enough to force her to intervene. The much larger male was lifting a foot up, as if he intended to step on the smaller male. It would be at that point that Kasai would draw her hand back, and throw the apple at the larger male.

As if guided by the hand of a god, the red sphere would sail through the air and strike the larger male in the side of the head. As the male would curse and look around attempting to find for the person who threw the apple at him, Kasai would give him a pointed look and pull another apple from her pack to take a bite of it...

Oh, that mouth of his. He didn't hold back when he did speak; which was rare enough to consider him a voluntary mute by most people; and he had a bad habit of setting people off with it. He hadn't actually thought the troll-man was going to hurt him; likely just piss and moan and threaten, but not actually hurt. For a split second he had that 'is this really happening?' expression on his face before he pulled his scarecrow limbs into a fetal curl in response to the realization that he was about to get stomped on.

But then nothing happened.

Or rather, he heard a wet crack/splat; like fruit hitting a wall. What the hell? He risked a glance upward, noticing the troll was sanding there with a supremely confused look on his face, as well as the remains of ... was that an apple?, on his face and clothes; the mushed husk of the fruit laying by his feet. Someone threw an apple at him? The hell?

"That hurt! No one throws apples at me!" The troll-man roared and seemed to rear up in a way, growing in size like he was inflating in rage. Hisoka was forgotten as the bestial man charged toward the female that had thrown the apple and was calmly eating another. The smaller male merely stayed where he was, that 'train wreck, cannot look away' expression peeking through his arms covering his head and upper body.

"Raaaaarrgh!" The troll was slow, but strong; or so he believed. He was also supremely stupid, and had no idea how to fight; arm raised and pulled back in a painfully telegraphed, and simple, punching position. The man was a bar brawler at best; and the closer one was the more they would recognize alcohol on his body; stale and old and obviously mixed with sweat and dirty clothing. Lovely.

There was so much stupid in the air. This man... he was... wow.

The punch he was going to throw was obvious; his arm was cocked back from the moment he'd began running at Kasai. She would wait until he drew close enough before ducking under the swung fist, allowing this man to go running past. Kasai was smart; this wasnt the first time she had to fight a man, though this was the first time that said man was not attempting to get into her pants.

Progress.

As this troll realized that he'd been juked he would begin to turn, attempting to catch the female; he would be met with another facefull of apple, this time spit straight from her mouth into his face. With another roar of rage, the troll wiped the apple bits off of his face in time to see Kasai moonwalking backward and taking another large bite from her apple. Her face bore a smug expression and her free hand flipped him the bird.

"What the fuck!? Stop spitting on me, you bitch~!" Kasai would simply roll her eyes; she'd been called worse by better. She them smiled at the troll, and blew him a kiss: the effect was immediate. The troll became angrier, and he would charge at Kasai again, arms flailing and fanning the smell of booze in to the air around them all.

Almost as if it were divine fate, his face would be filled with apple bits the moment he came too close to Kasai.

Good times, good times.

Things were being loud: she didn't like it when things were loud. No, she didn't like it at all. Of course, on any other day she probably wouldn't have cared – she knew the sound of fighting when she heard it and would have been glad to watch someone get their ass kicked. But, not today. No, because last night she had decided to sneak a bottle of something and drink to her hearts content. That had of course led to her passing out in an alleyway and waking up – just now – with the most horrendous hangover she had ever had in her life. So, unhappy Kaia was unhappy, and whatever sort of golem sounding individual was making all that noise was about to be swallowing his own teeth.

So, Kaia got to her feet in less than a happy manner, and stumbled her way down the alley way and to the street. She followed the path of the noise, squinting and cursing underneath of her breath against the sun that shone so brightly. She hated the sun and her hatred was causing several passersby to look over at her in less than approving manners. "Oh, go shove your opinion up your ass and rotate on it..", she grumbled to a particularly offended couple who quickly scurried away before she could even properly glare at them. She knew she looked like hell; white tank top, black slightly-too short shorts, shinobi sandals, and her blonde hair with purple streaks was likely in bed-head mode at the moment. Zero fucks given.

"Will you shut the fuck up already with them golem noises of yours! Some of us would like to nurse our hangovers in relative peace and quiet...", this comment would be punctuated by the throwing of the empty glass liquor bottle in the female's hand upon her realizing it was actually there. For having such a nasty hangover her aim was dead center – the troll making all that noise was about to be smacked upside the head with the bottle, that is if it didn't shatter upon impact and cause more damage. It was after the throwing of the bottle that she really took in what was going on: this troll had set his sights on a red head, and nearby a male was on the ground. This did nothing to help her anger: she didn't like bullies. In fact, she usually bullied the bullies.

More people. Wonderful. Well, at least the heat was off him, now. He realized that the troll had forgotten about him entirely now, so he was able to sit up and start shimmying backwards out of the way. He wasn't running away, merely getting some space between them. He needed a moment to focus and get his chakra flowing again; he might be a scarecrow and physically weak, but that didn't mean he wasn't a trained Genin. He might not be anything special, but he had all kinds of neat tricks and abilities he could use here.

He waited for a moment when the troll-beast-man-thing was several feet away from either of the females that had stepped in and started messing with him before he placed his palms flat on the ground and projected his chakra outward. He was using an ability that he shouldn't have; or that he thought he shouldn't have, anyway. Only one clan in the village had access to these abilities; and he wasn't in it, far as he knew. Questions and concerns for later, at the moment he was thankful for his ability to use Mokuton, even if he rarely ever did.

From below the feet of the beast-man, long blocks of thick timber erupted and engulfed him in a perfect cage; or what would have been for anyone else. This frick was so large that the ceiling forced him to duck or be brained; or rather, knocked him in the head until he ducked out of the way. Wooo. He landed a hit, sort of. Not that he cared; all that mattered was that the fucker was caged.

For now, anyway. There was no telling if he was going to be strong enough to break out of it or not; he was fairly weak in his Mokuton abilities, and this wasn't the strongest jutsu in the Mokuton arsenal.

"Someone might want to knock him unconscious before he snaps that wood."
