Stage 1- Event: I
Description: While wandering about the island in search of the second scrolls, participants will have the scrolls in their possession stolen by a small animal, moving so fast that they see nothing but a small brown blur. The participants must track down the thief. All participants in this scenario will arrive at the same time, after spending an undisclosed amount of time using their skills to track down the thief. They will discover that the creature behind the thefts was a small joey which, when confronted, will run into the pouch of a much larger, adult kagaroo. The kangaroos are experts in boxing, wearing red boxing gloves on each hand, and the larger one wears one on the end of its tail. The joey will not reveal itself as a boxer at first, as its gloves are hidden in its mother’s pouch, where it will also store the scrolls.

Name: Flyer
Age: ???
General Appearance: A large, brown-furred adult kangaroo standing at roughly 7 feet tall. No discernable differences between it and a normal kangaroo other than size and its gloves.
Personality: Extremely protective of its child. Will not relent once it feels the joey is threatened.
Motivations: Protecting its young.
Fears: Harm to its young one.
Abilities: Incredible strength for its size. Superhuman jumping abilities. Almost mechanically perfect footwork.
Other: The adult kangaroo specializes in strong strikes, easily capable of smashing wood and cracking stone. It’s feet are even more powerful, capable of shattering stone and denting steel. Its sheer physical prowess in both strength and speed make it too great an enemy for a genin to engage in melee combat directly. Don’t forget about the tail.

The proctor of the exams welcomed them all to the first leg of what was to be known as the Chuunin Exams. His village had won the exam last year under the might of the Wolf Sage Ryuzoji Kaekio. While that was impressive in and of itself, this year the number of Kumo genin became thinned out very quickly as the talented individuals became Chuunin faster then the exams could prepare themselves for that current year. With only one participant those who spectated or knew of the exams would feel that this was stretching it even with a home ground advantage.

They were told about how each of them would receive a scroll for this event and that the objective was simply to get the opposite scroll from another respective genin then. So he would be doing a tracker mission which was not really his specialty, but he wanted to make Ameryuu proud by doing his best in this exam. There was talk of opening both scrolls at the same time to reveal a map and some symbols in order to enter the location itself. The falls of truth so to speak as he listened intensely to the task at hand. He also heard some talk of survival and wild giant animals, so he figured he would have to be extra careful once they began.

He received his scroll before being sent into the island, things were quite peaceful as birds flew around him. There were a few monkey's here and there and some beautiful bugs who looked exquisite until the birds went crazy and devoured all the bugs as he sighed. He was wearing a basic white shirt with a cloud pattern at the back of it, while wearing a basic shorts in order to allow for ease of movement. He seemed pretty stacked as he had a backpack on his back with two swords slid in nicely and a bow as well. Inside the backpack however were a few scrolls, some specialised kunai not counting the ones sealed in his bracelets and one sealed in the seal of the backpack as well.

He had wire attached to his shuriken and a secret unique weapon was folded up in his bag, he had gotten used to the weight of carrying many weapons. However he never really needed all of them, but he felt it was best to come prepared for anything. Then to top it all off he had goggles hanging around his neck which were meant for emergencies mainly and he had some flashes and metsubishi's amongst all his other small items snuck into pockets and in the backpack.

He was wandering around searching for someone with a scroll, hoping it would be the opposite to his scroll as he ventured forth into the depths of the island. He kept going then found a nearby lake and a few trees, he did not want to be walking around all the time and setting up traps unecessarily would also be bad right now since he had no idea who was around at the time.

Little did he know that inside of the bushes lurked a monster, a furry brown monster who would soon change the course of his life. He began climbing up the tree then tied his wire to the scroll for safe keeping and to prevent the scroll from being opened as well. This was only the beginning as he was just about to take a nap when he heard a jingle and saw his shuriken scraping on the ground. He looked as the scroll was no longer in his hands and some brown blurry furry creature was running off with his scroll. He had no choice and gave chase to the beast whose rattling made it easier to follow not only for him, but for several other creatures also within the area.

As his chase continued little did he know that there was another who had also been in search of the very same brown blur.

Further behind not too far off the trailed of the brown beast was an unknown Ronin who had entered the exams in order to increase his rank and to show off his skills. This man had been training for the past year not only to win the exams, but to steal information about each of the five villages in order to help with his secret criminal activities.

This man had long dark brown hair that hung down his sides and his back reaching until his waist. He wore a dark black open trench coat and was equipped with a large black scythe held on his back by a thick black leather strap, then on his chest he had a flak jacket that was not as strong as the one used at chuunin and higher, but it was tough enough to block all e-rank weapons as well as having small hookings and pockets with one small strap like section holding a skilfully crafted combat dagger. Hanging from his one side was an assassin like crossbow with several bolts in a pouch on his left side. He also had several concealed weapons hidden inside the trench coat itself.

He had a serious look on his face as he sniffed the air as he had applied a scent to his scroll to allow him to track it. The man was furious as he had been setting up camp and had his trap all planned out with several pitfalls and a large spiked wooden log and just as he had finished setting up his camp the small animal took his scroll as he used his long range telescope to later discern that it was a baby boxing kangaroo. He was furious to say the least as he jumped over his own pitfalls and evaded his spiked log trap as he did not make too much haste as he was carefully watching for traps. He kept sniffing the air as he later whistled as his pet wolf finally came out of hiding as he spoke to his pet.

"Track down that beast and determine if their are any other people in the area, when you have secured a location for the scroll give out a howl so that I may arrive there using my jutsu." as the wolf nodded and was busy tracking the animal since the man could only smell the scent of the scroll and did not train his nose for detecting other scents amongst it yet. His wolf companion however had far greater tracking abilities and was on the prowl.

Soon the world's of the child who had fallen from prodigy and the man who had drifted down a darker path would collide in this battle to prove themselves and to become stronger. The battle of the chuunin exams.

Time had passed as the young little boy kept chase as he looked around he heard something in the trees, he was being followed however he could not afford to lose that scroll as he gave chase for the small brown blurry beast with long pointed ears and a strangely not so bushy tail as he began imagining this to be a mutant hybrid rabbit rat.

Meanwhile in the bushes was a beast that boldly followed him like a loyal dog even though in truth it was more like the predator hunting the prey as it took note of the small boy, however the beast was after its master's scroll not the child as it ignored him. The master who was not too far away had prepared his technique and was about to join the battle field as soon as the signal was given.

Then the brown beast ran into a clearing as it dove into the pouch of another larger beast as the beasts would all gather together for the spectacle that was about to unfold. The moment of truth as from the left a small boy armed with enough weapons to be a small army of shinobi and from the right a large wolf who was the size of a normal fully grown wolf had burst out of the bushes as the boy raised his guard to his right to face the beast while facing his head so he could see the wolf on his right and the beast on his left. The wolf also gave a glance at the boy and a glare and the brown beast who looked more like a giant lizard as what both would later learn was a kangaroo raised up two red fists as it hid its tail which had a strange shadow.

The wolf howled as the boy kept his focus and it was at that time that the man appeared next to his wolf, it was now time for battle as the man looked to his side and to the kangaroo. He was not fully sure of the situation, but he understood the simple truth. Everyone but his pet wolf was an enemy right now and all that mattered was getting his scroll then finding out if the child had the scroll he needed. He was not fully sure what was going on as the kangaroo was just hopping as the small brown blur poked out its head glaring at both of them as it would soon be time for this battle to get underway

The tension was building as the boy now with his swords drawn in a dual wielded style familiar to most kenjutsu users as the wind blew through his hair, meanwhile the wolf stood there as his master stood full and then took his scythe from his back and had a firm grip on it as he shouted out.

"Wolborg, get the scrolls from that mutant kangaroo. I will take care of this child." As the man stood there as the small boy looked to the man who looked to him as the man began to walk menacingly slow towards the small boy, the boy just breathing deeply as if in a half meditated state watching the man while through the corner of his eye watching the wolf who dived at the kangaroo who unleashed a left jab as the wolf dodged it sidestepping and lunging at the kangaroo who then gave out a surprise right uppercut as the wolf blocked the gloved fist with his mouth biting down hard as he was going to rip into the flesh of this kangaroo beasts main weapon. However it was not so simple as the kangaroo had a third fist that hit the wolf square in the ribs as it yelped losing its grip as it fell down, close to ten or twenty quick hits to the face came from the stomach of the kangaroo as the wolf was embarrassed as it fell to the ground half defeated.

Meanwhile the boy and the man began their fight, which was on the verge of bringing great disaster as the boy was laying on the ground with his swords to both sides buried in the earth as the man held his scythe up high in the air and said. "This is your last chance to go home, boy...."

The fight that played out and the way they got to this point, as the wolf engaged the kangaroo the man took a stance holding his scythe with a wide swing coming from the man's right. Not sure how far he could go the small boy charged in being extremely vigilant as he charged chakra to his bag before swinging it open letting most of his weapons fly at the man while securing a few on his person as the man gave a huge hit knocking all the weapons in a scattered mess as the bag had an item in it that had not been set free yet.

As the man had delt with the projectiles the boy jumped in close with a double slash from both swords at once. The man quickly let go of his scythe and blocked both strikes with his combat blade as he then took the scythe with his left hand and swung using his own tactic against him. He was not fully prepared as his technique could not be used straight away as he made a quick back step, the man through his kunai but it was infused with chakra as it disarmed both swords from the boy who tried defending normally as his weapons flew to his side the man kicked a rock as hard as he could which hit the boy unexpectedly as he fell to the ground holding his stomach.

This was how they had gotten to this point as the man then stood over the young boy before giving the line he said. How was he going to stop this as the man's scythe began to come down on the boy who looked like he was finished.

In the end this man had surprised him, but he did not avoid the inevitable end of their confrontation, the one thing that would lead to the end of this fight as he reached out his hand and touched the ground looking up to the man and said. "Trap Hole"

As a hole was made the man fell as he swung towards the boy who managed to roll out of the way as the man hacked away a portion of the earth. In a rage the man jumped out of the hole as the boy pulled a weapon out of his bag and swung it in a spinning motion as the man slashed to clash with the strange weapon as the chain wrapped around the boy then changed the trajectory of his unique weapon as it entangled the man's weapon and then began to attack at the man whose only response was to block it with the combat blade as he surrendered his scythe to the small boy. He realised he could not take this lightly as he shouted out. "Wolborg, stop playing with your food we need to take care of this brat."

At that moment the wolf got up from its disgraced state then unleashed a howl as it transformed. The wolf had become twice its normal size as the Kangaroo looked on boxing as the small kangaroo began crying as the beast simply pounced on them as they attempted to stop it with punches but this was a technique as the wolf began to spin as the man smiled for the Gatsuga technique that knocked out the kangaroo completely while the small kangaroo flew through the air hitting against a tree.

The boy began to worry as he then tossed his kunai to the man who was quickly defending with his combat blade as the boy through the man's scythe away the wolf moving extremely fast passed the boy to get the weapon. The boy took this as a chance as his blade seemed to finally get the man's combat knife knocking it out of the man's hands. It was then that the wolf howled as the boy looked back at a spinning weapon as he just barely ducked as the man caught his scythe as the wolf soon followed up as the boy looked at the man. The wolf tackled the boy from behind gripping him in its mouth tightly as the boy was somewhat disabled as the man laughed as he held up his scythe once more.

"You should have run away, kid" as the man brought down his scythe to end the defenseless boy's light by slitting his throat. As the boy looked on helpless as the wolf kept its tight grip.

As the blade came down on the neck of the boy as the man slashed through a bag hitting an a pack of items as the wolf whined in pain as the man backed away having gotten some in his eyes. The dreaded metsubishi as well as a flashbang had all been triggered and while one would have been easy to dodge there were ten of these balls that unravelled as the wolf was in serious pain struggling to breathe as it had lacerations on its eyes, inside its mouth as well as the man had actually triggered the trap since the wolf was only gripping the boy when he should have tried to end it. The man looked on as he sighed rubbing his eyes as only one of his eyes was any good as he sighed. "You did good, but." as the man knocked out his wolf companion and then proceeded towards the boy's new location as he was not happy as the boy was too in shock at what happened.

"How could you do that?" as the man just walked closer as the small boy through his small weapons at the man who simply knocked them out of the way skillfully as he then stopped about five meters away before speaking. "He was weak, so he would have just gotten in the way. I can always get a newer, stronger and better wolf whenever i want to. This runt had failed me not once but twice, there are no second chances. me even giving him half of one was stupid in and of itself. You should learn that this is not a game you snot nosed whiny brat. Go run home to your mommy like all the other kids in this exam."

As the boy was a bit upset as he looked to the man and then noticed that the wolf was still barely able to breathe as he made a sigh. "I hate stupid old guys who do not know any better."

In that moment as the kangaroo's who were unconscious and the wolf who was somehow still barely alive though in truth was merely forced to rest by his master. Things had become dangerous as the man began to charge energy into his scythe as the boy did the same as they slashed towards eachother as their techniques clashed the bright white light of his white edge technique against the dark forbodding smoke like aura of the man's technique as the blades clashed as the boy noticed his weapon crack slighly as well as the man's scythe. He then attacked again reinforcing his weapon as the man did the same as the blades clashed once more as shards of metal flew through the air. You could smell the heat of the steal against steal as they continued the exchange, but the boy was losing as the man began to push him back slowly but surely as the boy did not want this to end like this as he decided to end this.

He discarded his weapon after throwing it into the air towards the location of the kangaroo as he made a dash for it, the man was caught a bit off guard as he refocused his actions and chased after the boy who formed some quick hand seals as fire then began to rise up behind him as the man sidestepped only to watch the boy shift to the side as well as the man was being left behind somewhat as the boy reached the kangaroo as the man did not want to circle around as he knew at this stage trying to go around the fire he would lose this boy so he stopped and charged up and aggressive technique as the boy noticed the situation he thought on his feet and shoved his arm right in the kangaroo's pouch and pulled out not one, but two scrolls as he pulled them out as the man finished charging his attack and as he swung the boy held out the two scrolls in front of him as the man realised what was going on as he redirected his attack to the side to avoid the scrolls. A huge black like force hit the ground as the flames shifted slightly from the impact.

The boy knew that they were entering the final stage of this battle. He could not use all his techniques while holding the exam scrolls, while the man could not attack all out without damaging the scrolls either. If the boy turned his back on the man to get away he would risk being taken from behind and if the man recklessly attacked then he would fail and the exam would lose its purpose. How was this fight going to end?

The man took a deep breathe then charged into the flames as the boy looked on, the man realised if he dodged the flames he would be too slow, but if he took the time to destroy the flames the boy would also run. So he charged in ignoring the burning pains over his body as the boy took a simple measure having mixed in one of his sealing scrolls he placed one hand on the ground as the man reached for him only to fall into a hole as he shouted. The boy made a dash for in using speed bursts from his fire trail, the fall was not really harmful but the pain from the burns made it too difficult to jump out just like that. The man looked down as time passed and his wolf now awake and injured looked down into the hole as the man lay there laughing. He knew he messed up as he realised he should have waited it out rather then charge in.

The boy kept running leaving a small forest fire in his wake as he had run quite a distance before stopping as his flames finally wore off. He now had both scrolls and opened them both up at the same time in order to figure out where they had to go from there as he would arrive at the end point of this first stage of the exam. This fight had been tough but it had finally come to an end.
