Hyuga Reiko

Hyuga Reiko

D-rank
"Time to go! I'll be back soon!" Reiko called into her home, smiling slightly at the chorus of goodbyes she got from her mother and father, wishing her luck. Shutting the door behind her, the young girl turned and ran off, one hand holding tightly to the bag that was slung over her shoulder. She was practically buzzing with excitement at this point. When she was younger, she'd never been permitted to go to the Chunin exams, on account of her health. Now, however, she'd been allowed to go, because it was thought that it would be a good experience for her. She was just going to be a spectator, but that was good enough for her. After all, it would be a huge gathering of shinobi. Cutting through the trees, Reiko jumped up upon a branch and started to hop along, going around towards the front of the village, towards the main road. She'd been allowed to travel alone, mostly because it was the Chunin Exams, and it was unlikely she'd be attacked on the way there. Even so, three days alone seemed like a lot, so she was glad that she was on her way. It didn't take her long to reach the main road, and when she did, she dropped easily to the ground, waving to those on guard and heading out. Her hair was down today, considering she'd taken a shower after training, figuring that it's be nice not to have it tied up tightly while she traveled. She just hoped it didn't get too windy.

She ended up walking until lunch time, at which point she stopped at a little dango shack on the side if the road, ordering a simple meal. She relaxed while she ate, staring out the window, wondering. Of course, most of the village was already there. She knew Tenzo was there, but as for others, it was down to nothing. She never really knew many of the other Genin. They were, after all, a lot younger, and tended to avoid her. It didnt bother her much anymore, though. Popping the last dango in her mouth, Reiko chewed thoroughly then stood, putting some money down on the table for her meal and heading out, grabbing her bag along the way.

As night fell, Reiko was still walking, but she managed to find a town with a cheap inn before midnight to go to. Hopefully, she manage to go to an onsen tomorrow. She would need a bath by then.

The next day was much the same, though she had a slow start due to a bit of an ache in her back. The beds at that inn were none too good to sleep on. In the end though, she stopped only at lunch and for an inn the next night. She did, however, end up with some company for the day, in the form of a farmer transferring his wares to another town. She walked along his cart for a while and they simply chatted. It wasn't much, but it was better than walking alone. So, when night finally fell she was content.

She did end up finding an inn for the night that had an onsen, thankfully. She soaked in it for a while before going to bed, feeling much better than she had before.

The third day seemed to rise brighter than the two before, considering it was the day she would arrive in Kumogakure. Of course, she got so excited that she ended up running up in the trees most of the way at top speed, and by the time she ended up there, it was only a little past lunch, rather than nightfall, as she'd predicted. After checking in art the gate, she wandered into town, smiling happily at the fact she'd finally arrived.
