Uchiha Tenzō

Uchiha Tenzō

S-rank
The scouts of the Village Hidden by the Leaves have reported a nearby camp that was apparently filled up with rogue shinobi, a strange occurrence since they were mostly known for operating alone or in pairs. Their numbers was a bit unusual and someone charismatic or fearful enough was probably leading the whole bunch, and the goal which stood behind their gathering was unknown for the young Uchiha. However, they were too few to attack a village such as Konohagakure, and probably their objective was to reach for the ones that could not protect themselves; nonetheless, they were spotted and on this particular day all of them are going to be dealt with. Those were the orders of this mission, and with clear and bolded words the scroll was mentioning was mentioning that not a single survivor should see the daylight, because of their unpredictable and dangerous behavior.

A few kilometers away from the village, Tenzō was awaiting for the Orochi Lady in order to proceed on with the mission; it was almost halfway between the village and the borders, a location chosen by her in order to proceed with a tactical approach from his point of view, hopefully the woman did not had in mind to take them all at once. Without a doubt, the Uchiha believed that the ANBU captain was capable of finishing them all alone, since she was probably know as one of the most strongest, if not the strongest and most feared shinobi within the village. The Uchiha had recently enrolled within the ANBU, and his knowledge was miles apart from what the young lady had in mind; perhaps, doing more missions with her might offer the man a change of improving himself, there was always room for improvement.

On a peculiar and round shaped rock, Tenzō was resting with that firm buttocks of his while being dressed in a jet-black attire with long sleeves since he did not wish to display the tattoo which was recently made on that well-toned bicep. The man was whistling a song while peeling off a stick with his dagger, testing out its sharpness; there were no cares due to the fact that the camp was still not in sight. Slaughtering up people like they are nothing more than cattle was not really something which he enjoyed in particular; however, the payment was good enough to make him turn an eye. Usually, the man chooses to work up with assignments that usually involve teaching or training other shinobi; infiltrating for different objectives works as well with him, and those are enjoyable beneath his own pair of ebony eyes.

Little did he know, that two rogues which were somewhere around the level of a special jōnin has spotted him due to his careless behavior and whistling. Both of them were hidden behind some nearby trees, talking between themselves before deciding if they should report the man or attack him. Perhaps, they were waiting to see if he was alone or not, that could also be the reason why they have not yet attacked the man. Individually, they were not strong enough to take the man down; however, as a pair their chances increased gradually and they probably had that possibility. One of the two would have been easy to spot if he were not to stand at a location which was behind the Uchiha, since the man was quite fat and stuck out like a sore thumb behind that tree which was ironically thinner than him. He was a sitting duck, a prey for the strong ones.

"A camp? You must be joking!!" Lamya almost roared, when one of the CID's flunkies stood on the other side of her desk, having informed her that there have been scouts that have reported that there was a camp outside of Konoha with various rogue shinobi. This was something unprecedented and somehow the people of the Central Intelligence Division had decided not to let the regular divisions take care of it, but the ANBU. "You guys really think this is funny don't you, let the ANBU take care of it, dont make any notice to the Hokage about it. What is it that you want me to do?"

The operative of the CID remained silent for a moment, looked down at his shoes and gave the ANBU-captain a look that said everything. They did not want the Hokage to know because they knew he would try to negotiate, something the Central Intelligence Division would never approve or think about themselves. No, the CID was a creation of Lamya's uncle, a division with the sole purpose of gathering intel, dealing swiftly with problems and if necessary make sure that the ANBU black ops would handle any situation they gave them, which with the ANBU being commanded almost directly by the Hokage himself would've sometimes proven to be difficult. It was becoming more and more obvious every passing day WHY Enaka had created the Black ANBU, why he had gone to such great lengths to provide himself with a secret army. This wasn't just for his personal experiments, but also for the safety of Konoha, the safety of the entire shinobi world. With each passing day Lamya began to see things his way, began to understand his motives and even when she did not entirely agree with all of them, she at least understood everything.

"So that's what you want me to do," The young woman sighed, standing up straight, walking slowly around her desk till she was standing right next to the CID operative. "I reckon you've already send someone from my division to check up on things and I understand that rather than having some random team deal with it, you want me to take care of things."

The man simply nodded, leaving the Orochi lady to decide for herself what to do, which she did rather quickly, by walking out of her small office and walk straight to the registry, noticing that the person who was send to deal with it, was none other than Tenzo Uchiha. It could've been worse, at least the Uchiha was reliable and even if this was his first mission under the care of the ANBU, Lamya knew that she could probably need someone like him for this job.

When she had deciphered the location at which the camp was supposed to be, the ANBU captain simply made sure that she was fully prepared, which meant putting on her customized ANBU armor, her mask and take her two scalpels with her, just in case she'd need to actually use them.

Hurrying outside of the ANBU headquarters, Lamya rushed through the trees of the forest to get to the border of the Land of Fire as fast as she could, keeping every sound she made to a minimum, until she managed to get to the edge of the forest, where she had to scan her surroundings to be certain that she had gone to the right place.

A bit further ahead, on a rounded rock, she noticed someone and from the looks of it, it was an ANBU, meaning that it was Tenzo who was trying to have a look at what was going on around him. However, Lamya also spotted something else, two shinobi, hiding in the tall grass around the rock, with a rather clear path behind them, making it obvious that they had come from the forest and were sneaking up on Tenzo.

"I the Sage of the Six path's name," Lamya hissed, while softly jumping out of the tree she was sitting in, landing swiftly and without a sound on the ground, while she was trailing the two shinobi that were sneaking up on the Uchiha. With both of her hands behind her back, Lamya took out the two scalpels, feeling reassured with the weight of the Kirinketsu Ryoga and Koketsu in her hands.

The closest one, was a rather lean, small person, wearing some kind of cloth armor and covering her face with a scarf. The other one, slightly closer to Tenzo, was a heavier type, a large male with a standard flack jacket, but with pale blue skin, something Lamya quickly identified as a signature appearance for a Hoshizaki. Having decided to take on the woman first, she hoped that either Tenzo would hear or notice the sound or maybe that her actions would also lure in the other rogue.

Creeping closer to the rogue female shinobi, Lamya suddenly lifted both her hands, instantly burying her koketsu into the rogue woman's back, clasping her other arm around the woman's throat with her full strength, slicing her throat open with her Kirinketsu Ryoga, after which she made short work of the woman by removing her koketsu from the woman's back, slicing open her neck as well and make the corpse drop on the ground and into the grass with almost no sound.

The sound had apparently attracted the other guy, but he was so close to the rock upon which Tenzo was sitting, that he had made the mistake of turning around, bumping the rock with his shoulder... a big mistake.

"Tenzo, deal with that one, will you?" Lamya suddenly exclaimed rather loudly, showing herself to the Hoshizaki and in the meantime making sure that the Uchiha would know what she expected from him.

Unsuspectingly, the man continued on peeling that small and wooden branch which he was holding, and the amount of attention that he gave was baffling due to the fact the was almost going to get himself ambushed by a large donut eating shinobi. The whistling was so intense that he did not hear those drumming footsteps which echoed behind him, nor the fact that Lamya had already taken care of one of the two rogues. Without a doubt, the Uchiha was in his own world in that moment, but the bumping sound along with the shout given by the Orochi Lady were more than enough to place him in an alerting state. His own mask was lingering a few inches away, but the rest of the armor was properly equipped; as such, the young man had no problem spotting the ball-shaped rogue by throwing a quick glimpse over his shoulder.

There was little time for him to react, and the first thing which crossed Tenzō’s mind was to throw that dagger against his enemy; however, it wasn’t enough to kill the man after it successfully pierced the bottom area of the neck, the fat on his body was simply too much and it acted like an armor against Incision. A quivering yell escaped from the missing-nin, the pain was clearly there as he tried to pull out the dagger from his flesh, although, the Uchiha did not miss out this opportunity and immediately stood up before dashing against the man. Creativity was one of his strong points, and the raven-haired man scurried his way behind his target before executing a strong push which pinned that lard against the rock, keeping the man there with his right arm before shoving the pointy edge of the wooden stick against his ear, piercing it easily and thus ending the life of this missing-nin.

That large hunk of meat feel lifeless against the ground, and quickly the Uchiha’s fingers entangled around the handle of his dagger to form a sturdy grip so that he may pull it out with a single jerk. While having in mind to keep the blade clean, the young man wiped out the blood by dragging the stained part twice on each side against his own left sleeve. After taking care of the stains, Tenzō picked up his mask and carried it all the way back towards the ANBU captain. “Thank you for warning me, Lady Risu. Or should I call you Lamya now, since we’re on the mission?” the man uttered on a calm tone, keeping on a sly smile as he spoke and a bit after. Two of the missing-nins were dealt with, and the pair should probably head out and locate their base with extreme care, since they might have the chance of encountering a few others on their way there.

“What are your plans? Also, what kind of approach should we use for this assignment?” the Uchiha inquired on a curious tone; as a rookie, the man was full of question. Training was over, although this was practically the first mission for Whiskers; that was the codename that he chose to go by while being under the guise of an ANBU. Both of them had been through a lot of training sessions, and the lad was given a substantial amount of tasks to fulfill for the Ouroboros clan head, but this was their first official mission together. A sickening word such as happiness could be used to describe the emotion which dwelt inside the man on this particular day, hence the reason which stood behind that whistling. In spite of this, the man had a decent amount of control over his own emotions, and there was going to be no room for mistakes or distractions on the battlefield that was eagerly awaiting for their presence.

Lamya looked at how Tenzo dispatched of the rogue shinobi, but when she noticed how he cleaned off his dagger on his own sleeves rather than using the corpse's clothes to clean it, she gave a single nod. Blood was bad for clothes and certainly a waste of clothing when cleaning of some filth's blood on one's own clothes. However, the Uchiha's demeanor was what made the young woman hiss and jump towards him with her scalpels close to his throat.

"While you are in uniform, you call me captain," She hissed, retreating a bit, while putting her scalpels back in the sheathes on the back of her armor, bending a bit through her knees while trying to have a look around without drawing unwanted attention. "You really dont know what you're up against, don't you?"

She knew what they were up against, not just a bunch of rogues, this was a mission issued by the Central Intelligence Division, this was not a walk in the park, these were no ordinary rogues, nothing was what it seemed. Only someone very dangerous would be demanded to be killed and erased from this world so directly by the CID and only the gods knew what kind of person would've been considered dangerous by a division which dealt with men and women that could topple a village ever since their inception.

"The rogues' camp is not far from here, but we can't just barge in," The ANBU captain explained silently to Tenzo. She didn't want him killed yet, that would've been a shame for someone who could prove to be useful until the very end. The fact that he was just a greenhorn in the ANBU was quite obvious, with him seemingly lacking the understanding of stealth and silence, but Lamya thought he would probably learn it someday...probably at a great cost if he kept on whistling while he had to spy on someone or something. "They are probably not much individually, but if there are many, even a bunch of genin could pose a problem for jounin like yourself. Do please remember that or you will get yourself killed by the lowest lifeforms on this world."

Giving him a sign to follow her, Lamya sneaked at a rather quick pace through the high grass, back to the edge of the forest, waiting there for an instant she turned around and decided to use the shadows cast by the forest's treeline to slowly creep closer to the camp, which wasn't visible yet, besides the plumes of smoke which alerted that there were fires not far away.

"They've probably taken shelter in a small village or a lumber's camp," The young woman guessed, thinking that the best way to get to them, would be by firstly knowing the numbers of the rogues and the layout of the camp. "Use your sharingan and get into the trees, try to get close enough for a visual and report back to me, do you understand this?"

The Uchiha’s smile was supposed to last a bit longer, although it did not quite happen that way, since the woman was practically at his throat with those razor-sharp scalpers. Most likely he did something which pissed her off; perhaps, it was the fact that he used his own clothing as a napkin for his blade which was sheathed back shortly after arriving. Without a doubt, the man was tempted to ask her on a jesting tone how would she wish to address her while not in uniform, although, that questioned remained unspoken due to fact she continued on with the explanation of the plan. Tenzō nodded with a straight face and continuously during that speech, refraining himself hard from not laughing when she addressed some of the missing-nin as nothing more than low life-forms.

He did participated before in stealth missions, and even lead a group which did no stick up like a sore thumb, as such, he was perfectly capable of mimicking her gestures and follow up from behind while lurking within the shadows. With his perception the smoke was picked up a little bit slower, although, the man drew the same conclusion as well while the captain began informing him about his new objective, reconnaissance. “Yes, captain.” Tenzō muttered on a silent tone, addressing her how she wished despite the fact that it sounded a bit odd in his opinion. Nonetheless, this was actually the first time that the raven-haired man had the chance of addressing the woman in a different way, and this was probably not the best time to be thinking about such trivial matters. Without wasting any more time on words, the newly appointed ANBU attached that porcelain mask to his face, leaving only a pair of eyes visible which blushed in red as blood.

A moment after, the Uchiha already leaped from the shadow within the closest tree which stood at his disposal, just to witness that there was still no one within sight. As such, the man continued on, jumping from a branch to another like an animal who chased down his own prey. Those keen eyes managed to already pick up a group of people before his nose had a chance to smell the fire which stood just a couple of feet away, and so, without making a sound the man began counting their numbers, eight in total. All of them were camping around a fire, and perhaps this was nothing more than an outpost which stood between the two ANBU and the missing-nin base. “I’m going to take a piss.” one of the eight ones said, slowly removing himself from the group while heading further down the forest towards the ANBU’s way.

Tenzō stalked the man and followed him silently, waiting for the man to stop in order to leak before jumping right behind him while whispering “Kanashibari no Jutsu.” for himself, successfully managing to paralyze the man’s body before those pants even had the chance of kissing the ground. With his left hand, the Uchiha covered up the man’s mouth before restraining him with the other, forcefully dragging him all the way back towards the ANBU captain. As such, the man returned within a couple of minutes back at Lamya, but with a prize that he shoved before her with a fierce push, pinning the man’s head against the ground with his right foot. “Look what I found, captain. Maybe, we’ll leave him alive if he tells us everything about their camp, and the rest of the group.” Whiskers said while taking out his dagger, pressing it gently against the soft skin which belonged around the neck.

“Su-su-re, I’ll say eve-everything. Just don’t kill me, please!” were the quivering words which echoed from the prisoners mouth, a young boy who was around sixteen. Tenzō winked at the woman while knowing perfectly that everyone of them were supposed to die on this day; however, that did not change of his ways of acquiring information, giving them hope before taking everything away. “Our base... we’re keeping hostage the lumberjack that lives just outside the forest, our camp is now our base. Please, they forced me to. And everyone is there, including our leader, Hanzo.” the youngling began talking, spilling out everything that he knew in order to save up his own miserable life; bursting out in tears which shortly began dripping down his cheeks, stopping on the cold ground or around the corner of his mouth. “Orders, captain?” Whiskers asked on a satisfied tone, a different one since it was now being muffled by the mask.

When she was waiting for Tenzo to do his job, as he had gone ahead as ordered, to take a look at what they were up against, Lamya remained at her position, keeping a look at the plumes of smoke twirling in the skies, while she wondered what she had to do. In her mind, she could see it, the result of what her actions could herald. If she and Tenzo would take care of these rogue shinobi, it would most likely deter other missing nin to band together again and they would only be tempted if their protection, their pay or their fear was great enough.

When her subordinate finally returned, he had brought along with him a certain pleasurable gift, a member of the group it seemed, not a high ranking one apparently, but a member was a member, enough to wring at least a few droplets of information out of. Something which seemed to come naturally for the Uchiha, mentally and physically torturing his newfound prey. Behind her mask, Lamya's lips curled to a wicked smile, as she felt quite content with Tenzo's current display of skill, he had learned how to instill fear and that was enough for her to be proud of.

“Our base... we’re keeping hostage the lumberjack that lives just outside the forest, our camp is now our base. Please, they forced me to. And everyone is there, including our leader, Hanzo.” The kid spoke, snickering like a whining child who's toys had been taken away. A sniveling and groveling grunt, that seemed to be the boy's position in the rogues' group. A pathetic role to play for any woman or man.

The tears shed by the rogue and the remark made by the Uchiha made Lamya make a rather quick decision, as she grabbed the kid by the neck and pulled him up to his feet...and higher, lifting him off the ground, followed by the immediate whimpering of the kid. "You promised, you promised to spare me if I talked and gave you information."

"A dragon's subordinate is by all accounts a snake," The cold, cruel voice ringing through the ANBU captain's mask exclaimed without pity or remorse. "Never trust promises made by a snake, only the promise of a dragon."

Without another word, Lamya flicked her wrist, followed by a sound quite similar to that of snapping twigs.

The Uchiha might have not been able to notice the wicked smile which arose behind that porcelain mask, but there was no doubt that the Orochi Lady has had quite an amount influence on how Tenzō up as a shinobi. The rookie ANBU might have no realized it by now, but besides the physical and combat expertise that he was learning, there was also something else which grew on that personality of his, and with that print that was left by Lamya the young man gained the ability to instill fear; cruelty was slowly catching up and dwelling further into him. Even at this stage of development, when it came to instilling fear the man was not even close when compared to the ANBU captain which just picked up the gift that was brought to hear, hoisting the young boy up as he was nothing more than ragdoll which has just lost its purpose and value.

Even though the woman’s satisfaction was not seen in the earlier gesture, Tenzō was capable of hearing it once she chose to refer to him as a snake, a comparison that was never made before and one which caused those crimson eyes to narrow with excitement. Despite the amount of time spent around Lady Risu’s presence, that cold ring which expressed neither pity nor remorse was still felt like a razor-sharp blade that was carving deeper and deeper within the spine which belonged towards the Uchiha. The tone and diction that she was capable of using were simply beyond what most people will refer to as intimidating in order to cause fear, this was something more, as if those words were shaped within a transparent blades that were capable of passing through even the most thickest armor.

A sensation which was powerful and quite hard to describe with simple words, one which made Tenzō wonder what was the young boy experiencing in that moment. Your normal and veteran shinobi will probably compare this to a simple killing intent; however, the chilling presence that was formed around the ANBU captain made was proving the fact that it was something more than that, something much more pure and gruesome at the same time. Nonetheless, the time to think about such a thing has expired quickly considering that the woman chose to crack that fragile neck which belong towards the young boy like it was nothing more than a simple branch. “A dragon...” Tenzō repeated on muffled tone due to the porcelain mask that was covering his face; “I find it quite pale, to what you truly are, captain.” were the words which collided against the mask, faint as a breath which just escaped between those lips.

Whiskers listened to every words the young man was going to use in order to explain the orders which were about to follow up, since the shadowy assault was about to begin on the camp. Right after the small briefing was issued, the raven-haired man followed up from behind as they’ve made their way towards the lumberjack’s camp which they were using as a base of operations. Before reaching the main base, they were needed to stop by the campfire where Tenzō procured the gift from and take out the rest of the shinobi which were lingering there,  three of them were at the levels of a chūnin and the rest were just simply cannon fodders, genins that were not even close compared to the ones in Konohagakure. The first two within the group were taken out easily from behind, and that was the maximum number which could have been achieved in that situation while considering that they weren’t that far from each other.

After the small camp which acted like an outpost was dealt with, the main and most difficult part of the task was about to begin, and everything up until now could be considered a warm-up for what was about to follow. “They never seemed to end, and we have just started with the actual objective of the mission.” the Uchiha spoke on between those breaths of his, wiping out the blood from his dagger once more, again on his own long-sleeved shirt that he was wearing since last time the woman chose not to express the fact that she disliked this part of the man’s behavior. Perhaps, if the captain chose to express those actions a bit differently than threatening him with a cold blade then that behavior of his might change and force the rookie ANBU to act like she would have wanted him to.

There was no need to waste anymore time here, since the rest of the shinobi might find out about this occurrence, and most likely the best thing in this situation was to continue on while they still had the element of surprise with them. Therefore, within a couple of minutes the main hideout of the whole gathering was found, and it was basically surrounded by the remaining shinobi. At least five could be seen outside the house which belonged towards the lumberjack, and they were heavily armed and prepared, probably placed as watchdogs by the leader of this group, Momochi Hanzo. Two of the watchdogs started patrolling a bit the surrounding area, since those who stood at the outpost have not reported for a long amount of time. In that moment, Tenzō peered towards Lamya in order to see if she observed their departure, since this would have been the perfect time to lessen up the work by picking these two wandering targets.

Once those were finished, one of the shinobi that was inside of the house managed to spot Tenzō by gazing out the window and in that moment, the remaining members of the missing-nins had stormed outside the building with Hanzo in front of them. In that moment, the Uchiha threw himself at the group which seemed more feeble in order to leave the ANBU captain deal with Hanzo himself, someone who might last a bit more than the lasts ones. Their leader was strong, and most likely the Uchiha would probably have no chance of besting someone like him, and the best option was to make sure that Lamya would not become distracted by the rest of the rogues which were feeble creatures when compared to someone strong such as her.

Even against the rogues which were genin level or slightly above, Tenzō would leash at them swiftly in order to finish them off and help on with the real fight that was done between the ANBU captain and Hanzo, if she chose to not go full on and use everything on the missing-nin, or perhaps, the man was probably stronger than Tenzō had anticipated. Nonetheless, the fight was a fierce was and the Uchiha did ended up with a number of wounds on his body; they might have been mostly genins and above, but their numbers were not something that could be ignored. With the camp cleared of rogues, the raven-haired man would now await for the ANBU captain’s orders before doing anything more related towards it, and perhaps have those wounds closed up by her medical techniques before going back to Konohagakure.
