"WHY IS THERE SO MUCH DAMN MIST AROUND HERE?... AND WHY IS IT SO COLD" the young sage shouted into the night sky. she knew she was heading the right direction. the nature energy around her was growing stronger. however she couldn't hardly see, and the nights in kirigakure were apparently extremely cold. it was at this moment that kaekio wished she was a wolf instead of a wolf sage in training, because then she might actually have some fur to cover her own skin. She shivered as she let out a puff of white air, that slowly vanished into the distance. so this was kirigakure? the village hidden in the mist surely lived up to it's name. she couldn't see a damn thing. she had to depend on her sensory for active creatures around her, and her gut instinct to decide where she was going. although she seemed to be in the right place. the dark forest surrounding the lake seemed like the place for wolves to hidden and prowling. this made kaekio extra cautious. if only the white wolf knew she was coming then she might just have a fight on her hands. which she almost definitely wanted to avoid seeing as how she was suppose to be learning from them not slaughtering them, and she had also heard of legends and myths that said that sage clan animals tended to be much larger than your average animal, in fact, some say that even descend from the same place that summoning creatures do. this is stuff she would soon find out.

Kaekio kept walking closer and closer towards that center mass of nature chakra. it felt like it was being expelled around her. she was almost certain that this is where she was supposed to be heading. however as her body moved towards it, she mind was somewhere else. what was she doing at this late hour? was she in bed sleeping? not likely. the woman was a train nut. she loved to train. in fact she spent most of her time training to become stronger. sadly kaekio didn't have that drive. all she had was talent acquired from her bloodline. her birth gave her the natural ability she had, not training. kaekio only wished that she had nearly as much drive as adorable little blonde. if she had she might have made it to jounin by now. or even higher. who knows? Suddenly kaekio entered a big clearing. this was definitely where the nature chakra was coming from, however kaekio couldn't sense any life forms in her immediate area through current perception, so she decided to wait. if this was where she was suppose to be, then that would be the best thing to do. so she set down her back pack and sat crossed legged in the middle of the cleared, and made the dog hand sign. wolves were a form of canine and so this was the closest thing she could get to making a wolf hand seal. then she took a deep breathe and began to draw in chakra, as she tuned her senses to her surroundings. then she heard paw steps and she opened her eyes to see the white wolf ahead of her. "So i see you made it, Omega."

"So i see you made it, Omega"

Omega? what was that nickname for? the way she understood it it meant the bottom of the pack. which the more she thought about it, she was the bottom of the pack, but, that meant she was a part of the pack. she smiled as she stood. "H-hi. I'm kae-" she was however cut off by the wolf. "We, of the wolf clan know who you are. However, we also know that you don't know who we are. I'm the white wolf Ares.... now. Before we go anywhere, how about a spar?" hmm. Ares. As in the god of war? an interesting name for a wolf, but after the difficult training she she had endured for the first part of her sage training, a sar seemed like cake. Why couldn't she have done that before hand? she dropped her backpack, and said the words "Okay Ares. We can spar."

When that was said Ares took off in a full sprint; straight towards kaekio. kaekio saw this immedaitely and leaned back and pushed off he feet, leaping backwards. As she did so she went to reach for her weapons, however she instantly felt them fill up with raiton that wasn't hers. "what are you planning on hunting me Omega? Ares said playfully "no weapons" he growled. shit. that limited kaekio's options to ninjutsu, which she only practiced for situations like this. where she wasn't allowed to use her weapons. However kaekio wouldn't give up that easily. she came sliding to a stop, and made the tiger sign and inhaled deeply and exhaled. a massive fireball shot out of her mouth. 5 meter diameter traveling 20 meters a second and the wolf was only ten meters away. Kaekio locked onto his chakra signature, and went to the right. Ares however simply jumped and bite the flames, and they simply vanished. kaekio was now 15 meters away from ares, as she released misty flames dance, she then turned directly to face Ares, and jumped backwards once more. Kaekio then made the tiger sign once more, and exhaled. A dragon appeared at her lips and shot forwards. it hit the gas almost instantly, and kaekio grinned. She assumed it wouldn't kill a wolf that was bigger then her, or at least she hopped, but suddenly she felt his eletrical signal to the left of the explosion. Ares was running straight at her once more. "silly Omega. You forgot wolves have stronger noses. I could smell that trap miles away." damn it. he was good. kaekio would have to fight a whole lot harder if she wanted to have any chance to beat him at all. She ran towards him directly.

Ares slowed his pace a little bit wonder what she was up to. However, all he could see on the young sage was a smile. the wolf grinned too.  she might be starting to understand the play fighting was how young wolves grew. well.. hopefully, she hadn't expressly told her what the exercise was for. maybe she simply enjoyed sparing? which could be a very good thing. He was starting to come to the conclusion that he made the right choice in picking a sage. Surely this one would survive longer than the last. she was spirited. she was determined, and she showed a fiercity that exceeded what most of the wolves in the clan could express. plus she didn't seem half bad at battle, even had set up a small trap. he could only imagine the kind of hell he would be going through if her had permitted the use of her swords. by how quickly she reached for them, when the thought of battle came to mind, he could only assume that that was her main form of combat. She would be no doubt better at that, then she was at this form of hit and run style she was attempting to pull at the moment. she was no doubt a wolf in Ares's mind, and that made him smile.

Kaekio was determained to at least lay a hit on this wolf. the two of them were moving at pretty hgih speeds, however when kaekio got within five meters of the wolf, and felt him open his jaw for a bite, she got down to the ground and slid. The wolf bit right over her, and was stunned at her actions. She moved quickly before her could react. She twisted on the ground, placing both of her hands on the ground, she kicked up, then spun around on her hands once more, and brought a hard kick into his side, sending him flying 5 meters to the said. then she layed on the ground, exhausted. that short little match was much moe exhausting then she had thought it would be. "alright, i'm done" she said breathing heavy.  Ares got up and walked over to her. "you did good Omega... now. how about we go and meet the rest of the pack?"

"you did good Omega... now. how about we go and meet the rest of the pack?" Kaekio reluctantly stood up, her body exhausted from the intense but rather quick spar that her and Ares had. It was a good spar none the less, and kaekio had apparently done good. It kind of reminded her of the spar she had not too long before she found Ares, between her and Akuma. Although this one had been much more difficult of a fight. "Yes, i'm ready to meet the rest of the pack" Kaekio said to Ares. then wolf gave a grin, and took off in a direction. Kaekio sprinted after him, assuming that this was was just another part of her training. They ducked under branches and jumped over logs. The way they were running through the forest felt... free. she was beginning to wonder fi this was what her training was going to be like. Be treated like a wolf, and living like one and as such becoming one with nature its self. That sounded like the cheesy sort of thing that would happen in this sort of training, but the weird thing was, it was working. having play fought with Ares, and now running like a maniac through the forest, was for some reason, making her feel more in tune with nature its self. She was easily picking up on more and more signs of nature chakra, and life in an area too. She couldn't help but grin as the two of them continuing running. This might be hobby that she could actually get into. And, she might have to take this up when she got back to Kumogakure, because this was actually really fun. The thought of home, brought the thoughts of her Sensei. He had set her on this journey. He had given her the amazing operatunity to be around wolves of all things. Granted, he had done it by nearly killing her, but still. she needed to remind herself to thank him when she got back to kumogakure. But, first. She was definitely going to enjoy this while it was in front of her.

Kaekio and Ares reached the wolves massive moutain side after a few mile run through the forest, and even a crossed the water at some point. Although her eyes where on Ares tail too much to noticed if it was a river or a lake. Granted she didn't really care all that much becuase now she was here. She used the word moutainside instead of den, becuase that is really what it was. it was a huge moutain in the middle of a pretty big forest, and out of the side of it's slopes were  several dens. When she got there, she was to instruced that she would be getting her own personal den to stay in, at the very base of the moutain. It wasn't the most ideal spot. Sometimes flood water would leak into her den, but after a few nights of blasting lightning inside, she finally personalized it a little bit, to where there was an uphil incline  deeper into the cave, which lead to a small little circle type room which was where she slept, and where she slept dry. The training she was put through on a day to day basis however was rigirous. It started out early in the morning with going on a full on hunt for food with some of the other wolves. Which was always done in a full on sprint. Which they would not stop, until they caught enough food for the day, for the whole pack. She quickly learned the pecking order for food too. She always had to eat last, given that she was considered an omega to the pack, but she didn't mind, she always at least got something to eat, and she could bring it back to her cave, and start a small fire to cook the meat before eating it. After the hunt, it was a play fighting match with Ares, who simingly got better and better with each passing day. Then that was followed by an hour of balance training at the top of the moutain, which she was told, was a common practice to teach sages for all senjutsu animal clans. Then another spar, with some other Omega. Who were arguably much eaiser than Ares was. The other thing she noticed was that while Ares was a big wolf, he certainly wasn't the biggest. Their rank seemed to corralate with their size, and the Alpha's were certainly huge. Their dens were also at the top of the moutain. After the second spar, the pack held a massive pack-wide campfire on a platuea on the moutain, where a number of activities went on. That time was always kaekio's favorite time, because not only did she get to see the birght stars in the night, but all of the hunting stories that the wolves had to offer, and the complexity, yet simplicity of their lives was amazing. Afte a few weeks, kaekio finally gained the ability to use Sage mode. Although it came with a few defects. Ares told her it was because of the rough way she was introduced to Senjutsu, and that she would never be able to have a perfect transition into sage mode, and there would always be something wolf like about her when she did, but he also said it looked good on her. Granted, there wasn't a mirror there so she couldn't tell.

After that, a big ceremony was held, at that night's bonefire. Kaekio was named "The wolf sage", and given a Robe with blue clouds as a badge of her title. Then Ares lead her to the main road of kirigakure, where she hugged him goodbye, and told him that she would be sure to come back at some point. But, she had finally completed her sage training, and she was finally a sage. Her robe was signifier of that. With that, she walked down the path towards Kirigakure. She had one more stop to make before heading back home. There was someone she had to meet. Kaekio couldn't help but smile thinking about it, as she kept walking. She still had her travel papers, and knew to use them to get through the gate once she arrived. She had had gate duty in kumogakure enough times to know how the process went down. Although she assumed that it worked a little bit differently for each village, she still knew that it was going to be very similar. The raikage stamp on her travel papers made her smile as well. She had done it. she was now an offical sage. One of the people of legend. she was getting stronger. Although she didn't really feel like she was, she knew she was. Now she just to make sure she was still on good terms with the person she did this for. Kaekio let out a shout as her pace picked up heading down the road. "Nozomi-chan! I'll be there soon!"
