Sekuro sat at the desk of their clan meeting place, he called in three other more prominent clan members he knew he could trust to break down the situation for them. In a short sense, Sekuro went on a mission and found out that someone of their clan or with their Dojutsu had worked their way up the criminal underworld. As they sat there, Sekuro shared with them that he may have gathered word through the village admin building about a possible gang hideout, he had put it in discretely and outside of the mission boards so that no one would interfere. He asked for Fukai, a newly met acquaintance, to join him on his surveillance of the area. It was located in the mountains, supposedly they had set up a camp at the base of the mountain and into the cave structure within. He alerted the village and they gave him permission to go and survey the site as best they could without engaging anyone, they would also be required to stay hidden, if they were discovered then they would jeopardize the site. Normally, they would send a squad of chuunin to clear out the cave but since it was merely surveillance he got special permission because of the clan. Still in his office as they were discussing it, So, Fukai think you'll be able to help me out? I want you, because I want to meet you a bit more and get to know you better. Fukai agreed and Sekuro gave him the info, Ok, well we'll set off at 3:00 pm this afternoon, the sun will start setting by the time we get there so we won't have long but the cover of darkness should allow us to stay hidden. Sekuro would adjourn his fellow clansmen and go prepare, dawning dark clothes and preparing his ninja tools and grabbing some binoculars for him and Fukai to use there as well, he would take a quick nap and rest up, who knows how long this night will be.

Sekuro woke up from his rest to eat lunch and then head to the meeting place again, he would take it easy since he woke up a few hours early and was in no rush. His walk over to the meeting place was slow, he took a while thinking about different scenarios, having Fukai along with him who doesn't have too much experience might be a problem, not that Sekuro had much more, but he was being held responsible for his safety as well. He also wanted to mark a few sights on the map that might provide some good angles on the camp and even into the entrance of the cave assuming there would be enough light. He sat there at his desk, awaiting Fukai's arrival, he would have about another thirty minutes before he was supposed to, but he arrived ten minutes later. Surprised to see Sekuro there already, Sekuro began to fill him in on the location, and handed him the single eye binocular that he had grabbed, keeping the double eye for himself.  He handed Fukai a map of his own with his four lookout spots marked with a black X on it.

He explained, trying to be as thorough as possible for him, Here's some binoculars and a map, our goal is to survey so it's important that no matter what we see that we stay out of it and nearly mark it down. On that map, we are going to draw out the camp coverage and cave entrances, as well as any patrol patterns we can pick out. Normally this is an easy task for a single ANBU ninja but we're gonna be doing it for them while we're out there. After answering and clarifying any questions or concerns that Fukai may have had they began to set off, Sekuro began to lead the way out, stopping at the door he spoke to Fukai without turning around. Listen Fukai, I'm about to ask you of something but this mission is more important to me than simply surveying the camp. Should anything happen to me, I want you to get out of there and go get help, from early estimates the sheer number may be too much for just one of us to handle. So, if anything happens, forget me and go get help, maybe I can get more information while you're away, that's all I ask. Sekuro would ignore any interjection he might have had, there was nothing to discuss in terms of this, and he wouldn't risk Fukai coming in and getting captured or killed as well. They took off heading for the valley of mountains, mountains would be scattered around Iwa, but he knew roughly where they were going already, so it would cut down on their search time.

The pair arrived at the first and nearest site just before 5:00 pm, Sekuro checked his watch and marked the time on his notes, then started mapping out the clan, several tents sat outside between two mountains in a thin valley, Sekuro and Fukai marked from the mountain opposite to start and could see into the cave, not far but enough to know that their operation moved inside of it as well, maybe 30 bandits on sight, but non of them looking too strong, there might be one or two inside the cave over-seeing the operation that could prove a challenge.

They spent a bit of time looking for patrol paths and any other operations going on, Sekuro used his binoculars to look into a convey just arriving, Hey Fukai, look at that, looks like a human trafficking operation here too, mark it down, It pissed Sekuro off, but he couldn't interfere as kids, women, and older people in general were unloaded into the cave, no men though, probably killed in their raids. He waited until it was done, he turned to Fukai and spoke quietly, Hey, before we move to the second point I am going to try to get a closer look, remember what I said, no matter what happens, don't interfere, and don't get caught either! Sekuro headed a few hundred meters down the mountain, trying to get in closer to see what was in the tents andpossibly a bit further into the cave, he lied down on a cliff ledge to look in closer. He left his notes and map up with Fukai, taking only his binoculars and his basic ninja tools down with him.

As he lied there he noticed a patrol heading towards the cliff from a path down below, they must be using this spot as part of their patrols, he stood up but placed his foot to close to the cliff trying to look down on the patrol beneath him now. His foot broke the edge of the cliff, and rocks rained down on the patrol of three or four guys beneath him as he slide down shortly after, trying to grab the ledge and maybe save himself more of the rock broke and followed him down towards the camp. The fall wasn't horrible but would probably knock him out cold, as he fell he grabbed the shuriken he had on him and threw them at the bandits below, maybe he could hit them and lower there numbers in case he stayed conscience, doubtful as he fell downwards. Sekuro really just hoped that Fukai would stay out of it and go get more help so he didn't get into any more trouble now.

Fukai looked at the spiked haired man that he traveled next to. The pair were on their way to investigate suspicious activity sighted in the valley of mountains. He was surprised that the clan head had called upon him to accompany him on this mission. Normally, issues like this were handled by the village as a whole. Then Karumo had disclosed to him that the leader of these operations were reported to have the Fantomusodo purple eyes. Fukai could understand his new acquaintances motives for keeping this close to his chest, he was new to the position of clan head and he probably did not need anyone putting this sort of issue down to incompetency on his part. Fukai had already overheard whispers in the backstreets, Karumo had already gathered some unjustified oppositions to his leadership. The silver haired man had not known his companion long but his first impression was a good one, Fukai priding himself on being a good judge of character. He knew what a selfish or unjust man looked like. The clan head did have a troubled air about him, something was distracting him from the mission at hand. Whatever the problem, Fukai decided to back up the young man. Worthwhile allies would be few and far between and Karumo would need as many as he could get.

They were travelling down the stone path towards the valley. Before long they would have to get off the road and make their way through the stone jungle for a hidden approach. Karumo had put a strange emphasis on the importance of Fukai's self preservation. He wondered what that was about, was it something about this mission that he didn't understand? Was this related to the strange mood he was in? Usually a ninja would accept a mission knowing that they risked their life for its completion. He felt uncomfortable with the idea that there was some hidden face of this issue. The pair diverted off the track and kept travelling through the valley for another couple of hours.

Hey Fukai, look at that, looks like a human trafficking operation here too, mark it down.
It was getting later in the day and the two purple eyed young men had discovered and started recording the activities of the bandit group. People were being grabbed from the convoy that had just arrived. Grizzly thugs ordered the prisoners into the cave, beating the poor souls that tripped or dared to cry out. The event started to move into the cave and become obscured from view. Karumo told him to keep a look out while he went to find a better vantage point. As his new companion climbed down the mountain side, the silver haired genin watched from the distance. Karumo crept forward out on a ledge over the top of the camp. Fukai's heart stopped when he saw the cliff break away beneath his clan head. The bandits in the camp below Karumo had noticed the intruder as he fell down the bank, throwing shuriken at them as he dropped. Fukai stood watching in helplessness as his friend struggled against the huge numbers of the thugs. What should I do? What can I do? Fukai started panicking. He had been told to leave him in the case that he got in trouble, but should he really? Maybe he could do something... No. It wasn't enough. He wasn't enough. It was a matter of time before the gang overwhelmed him and jumping into the fray would just result in them both being captured. The young man turned and ran for Iwa, respecting his superiors order.

Fukai sprinted down the valley, cursing his lack of strength. If I was stronger I... Damn it. The young man ran and cursed himself. How could he let his friend go just like that? Dammit! Fukai made it back onto the road, paying little notice to the girl he was about to collide with.

Today was a wondrous day because it was the day of one of Maki's best friends' wedding day! And right now it was the after party though it was still quite early for the clock struck past 4 in the afternoon. However that wasn't going to stop the happy couple who drank themselves under and danced as they pleased. Thankfully everyone was supporting the same energy as the newlyweds. Well everyone except one...

"Remind us again why we are here Kira" Jet eyed the tipsy nekomata with thinly concealed boredom as she took a shot of fire whiskey that was served to her by the bartender, making sure to take the smallest sip before she chugged it down, hardly affected by the burning sensation that slithered down her throat. The fire whiskey's burn was strong and pungent, masking the drug perfectly or so the bartender thought. Having been trained for such occasions it was rendered for naught. However for appearances sake she allowed a thin bead of sweat to dribble down besides her forehead and wiped it off in a single throat as she rest her 'weary' heat on the palm of her hand, almost distressed by a sudden headache or lack of strength.

"If memory *hic* serves me right *hic* This was your *huc* idea Jet" The tipsy nekomata waddled atop the bar top from having one too many. She gladly took the saucer of warm milk offered by Jet and had her fill, pleasantly enjoying the slight hint of lilac. Unkowned to others the lilac was used to cover up the engery shot inside. Quickly the nekomata perked up swishing her tails around eagerly but not as if she was strung up. It was just now she wasn't too drunk and was sobering up quickly. "Anyway we should probably stop by the hospital today?"

"Hmm, what's the appointment for? We can't remember" She questioned curiously. She knew that there wasn't any health issues like cancer or pregnancy so it was another topic. An informant or new black list job. If anyone knew her business they would've wondered why she would've bothered with such. It's simple really, she had connections in the underground that she needed to maintain. The only purpose missions in the village served was for money and to move up in ranks, nothing more. The real profit came from these, the off record stuff. Money is power but connections reach farther. They are investments worth making. With her new  ranking now she could move more freely and not too many people with question her risky actions however the same can be said as she move up in standing, more will seek her out. But she wasn't worried. She was a yuurei. The Ghosts of the Shinobi world. But what's more she is...a jinx.

"It's just a check up thankfully so you don't have to worry about getting your blood drawn but you never know with those doctors?" Kira replied without missing a beat as she hopped up on Jet's right shoulder who petted her behind the ears, eliciting a soft purr.

'Well that's boring it's only a simple run of the mill mission. Maybe the location will be interesting' Jet hopped. "Oh thank goodness you know we hate those dreadful needles" Jet shivered in disgust as she 'recalled' her fear of needles. But she perked up soon after taking one last shot of fire whiskey before she grabbed her handbag and slid off the bar stool. Her heels clicked on the floor, droned out by the booming music. As she made her way to the exit she saw the old bat Maki feeding a baby on her lap as she talked among the mothers' who brought their children to the party. The blonde gave her a questioning look but nodded and returned to her activities as Jet mouthed work. With that she left the party...
__________________________________________________________________________

Map? Check. Ration Bars? Check. Water? Check. Ryo? Check. Weapons? Double check. Jet counted off her supplies to make sure she had everything. As it turned out just like Kira said it was a simple espionage mission so there wasn't need to kill anyone however there was a possibility there will be resistance and measures would have to be taken. Not that she had a issue with this mission but she was hopping for something more. But back to the matter at hand. The target would be at the Iwa and Kumo borders where there was a storm taking place. She was too break in and get as much information from the files as possible while checking in on her target's strengths and weaknesses. Therefore she would have to dress up for the occasion. For this mission she would a black face mask that covered her mouth and nose while she wore her forehead protector around her neck which was slightly disguised by her goggles. She wore a cropped black turtle neck shirt with match ninja pants along with knee high combat boots and a think black coat with a fur lining on the hood. As she check her supplies she felt like she was missing something. "Oh wait" she stopped abruptly and grabbed her sword, strapping it onto her belt and sheathed her two butcher knives in her boots safely and out of sight. With those out of the way she pulled her gloves on and head out the door with Kira right on her heels...

'According to the map it's a five day trek to the target's location. However...' Jet smirked beneath her mask as she flipped off a cliff onto some trees before she made her way to the ground intending to move away from the main road. 'Because I've been traveling so long I can just take a couple short cuts and get there in three days' Jet continued to run slightly like a shadowy blur beneath the sun's powerful gaze. She made a sharp turn left turn as she passed by a small stream and ducked some branches, Kira chuckling to herself softly amused that despite behind the stone country, the few forests were quite troublesome to circumnavigate but Konoha's dense forest was much worse she remember along with Kiri's eerie mist that never seem to lift even on the most forgiving of days. Ah well no matter. Jet flipped and continued to sprint as she entered a valley however her nerves tensed as she felt a foreign presence about to collide with her....now! As if the world was in slow motion Jet gently pushed his arms up she slipped behind his back and kicked his legs out from beneath him while simultaneously putting him in a one arm choke hold as she held a kunai to his neck, her green eyes shifting to a bloody red crimson. "Name, rank, business. Tell us now or you will be dealt with" She spoke in a no nonsense tone as she made her threat, no promise, to the young man whom she didn't recognize but she will soon when she sees his forehead protector.

Sekuro fell from the ledge, his shuriken hit two of the bandits on patrol, he hoped he could quickly deal with them and get out of there. He landed on his shoulder, he felt no pain from the fall, but he could feel his shoulder breaking in several places, he should have worked harder to get to landing on his feet. He lied there struggling to get to his feet, the other two bandits still on their feet and menace in their eyes, they charged at him, it would be too easy as he kicked one in the chin and knocked him clean out. The other took a quick swing that he was able to avoid, and of the other two whom had been scrapped by shuriken, one began running towards the camp grounds. It was gonna be too late, he did his best to deal with the last few bandits, they were all crawling around on the ground, normally he would have dealt with them easily but his broken shoulder prevented him from being able to weave signs properly, and that means he had to waste time dispatching them. They began to run, he needed to deal with them, he chased them down the trail taking care of them while he could. He was only a few hundred feet from the camp, it seems they had been raised to high alert now that the earlier bandit called them in, he watched as bandits with many an assortment of weapons began to surround him. He knew he couldn't take them all on, there were probably 30 or so, they looked weak.

It was then that they stepped to the side, a man emerged who looked slightly stronger, he was probably the one running the operation. He snickered as he saw Sekuro, clutching his shoulder and waiting in angst, he spoke out to him, Your eyes are weak, you're no match for the full power of my boss. It struck Sekuro like a senbon to his temple, this guy knew about who he was looking for? How did he, who was he. He needed his information and desperately, Sekuro called out, rage building in his voice, ignoring the men that surrounded him he looked directly in the eyes of the man who stepped forward, Wait, who are you talking about, who is your boss! Tell me now, or I will slaughter you all! Vague threats he couldn't possibly keep in his condition. The man just laughed him away, and began to walk away, waving his hand for his bandits to deal with him. Sekuro began to chase after him, but getting a staff to his chest, it knocked him off balance followed by several more attacks from other bandits in succession, he had been too focused on the leader to deal with the rest of them. They began to beat him, bruises and a few broken bones collected, soon he would be knocked out, and dragged into the cave structure where the bandits resided. Hung up in a room by his arms, they had plans to interrogate Sekuro and drag out as much info from him as they could all while packing up to move their base soon.

Sekuro hung there, his weight being held by his hands, his broken shoulder becoming much worse as it was forced to be held out of place, he heard footsteps and grimaced, keeping up the act that his scars and bruises were painful to him. It was the same guy who stepped forward from before, he walked with superiority towards Sekuro, grabbing him by his jacket and pushing him in to the wall behind him, Sekuro swung back foward and dropped his head in defeat, he had to keep the act up after all. The man spoke, it was all he could hear, We assumed since you know we're here, that others do too, so we're packing up shop and moving this operation. But you're coming with us, you might buy a nice ransom, along with being an information cow of how you found this place and who else knows of it's existence. He began walking out, the other two guys who accompanied him stayed behind to watch him and make sure that Sekuro didn't try anything. He hadn't gotten very much information as of yet, and all he could think about was finding a way to escape or waiting for Fukai and reinforcements to come to his rescue, he wondered which would happen first.

The Fantomusodo clan was one who greatly valued ability when it came to duels with weaponry. The strongest fighters were held in the highest regard. Ten year old Fukai had been training in the clan dojo for two years now and had just hit a growth spurt. He had suddenly grown bigger and stronger than all of the children his age and was admired for it. When he walked through the village, purple eyed elders commented about how he was sure to become a strong warrior one day. He suddenly gained a huge friend group that flocked around him whenever he went to train. He grew in confidence as well, each victory in the dojo pushed him further into the clouds. Until that one day.

There was the annual martial arts showmatch in the dojo, where the children of Fantomusodo showed their parents how much they have improved. For many families, this day was one of honour and pride. The kids often had these weights on their shoulders. Fukai was the clear favourite to win today, his ever supporting mother watching from the sidelines as he took center stage. His father was out on a mission as usual, Fukai not having much contact with him at all. The silver haired young boy raised his staff and looked at his smaller opponent. The sensei called start. It would only take a few minutes and a couple of well practiced combos for ten year old Fukai to drop his opponent. His mother got up and walked over, congratulating and complementing him. Then gas filled the room near instantaneously. There wasn't enough time for people to react to it. A second later, the 30+ inhabitants of the room started dropping to the floor. Fukai's mother quickly ripped the scarf from her neck and pushed it over her son's mouth and nose. With her last moment, she pushed him to the door, the boy running to the clean air outside. His friends, his mother. Fukai was the only survivor of the attack and he was now alone in this world.

-----
Now he was abandoning his first friend he had made since that day, ten years ago. That day had changed him. Fukai had withdrawn into himself, closing himself off from everybody outside. He had become a loner. Escaping from the world and into his training, hiding his face in the scarf that had saved his life. Then one day he had met two males around his age, one of them being Karumo - his clan head. The spiky haired man had extended an arm of friendship towards Fukai, who was surprised when he had taken it. It had only been a short amount of time since then, although he now considered his relationship valuable.

His decision tore him up inside. The genin kept running along the rocky terrain, barely aware of his surroundings. Was he seriously going to forsake Karumo? He had called upon Fukai for this mission in a time of need... Shinobi were supposed to keep emotionally detached so that they could complete the job without needless obstacles. Fukai had found out recently that all these years he had been yearning for some sort of connection, some escape from a desert of seclusion. Karumo had opened a window for him. He could look out at the view of greener grass.

A sharp pain brought his thoughts back to the present. He was on his knees, arm pressed behind his back and a kunai up to his throat. What was happening? Did one of the bandits catch up to me? A female voice came from behind him. Name, rank, business. Tell us now or you will be dealt with. If this had happened at any other time, Fukai would have kicked himself. At the moment he was feeling too shitty to care about himself. Getting caught like this did show his inexperience. Maybe I should just die... How pathetic am I? I should be trying to get out of this situation quickly so he could go help my friend. 'Help' was too strong of a word. When Karumo had said 'go get help', he really had meant 'save yourself'. The chances of Fukai being able to make it to Iwa and back before his friend was either dead or taken away were almost zero.

Fukai Fantomusodo, Genin of Iwa, I am trying to get back to the village to draw up a rescue party for my friend. He tried and failed to remove the pain from his voice. Please, I have only one thing of value and I am about to lose it. The female would drop him from the hold and he would get up and turn to face her. She was a green haired young woman that was about a foot shorter than he was and looked a few years younger. He could tell from her expression and stance that she was no novice shinobi. Like a cat ready to pounce, she watched him with strange green eyes that had red outlines. She was a slight girl but Fukai could tell that her lean muscle hid strength. For some reason he didn't feel any reason to be afraid of the young woman.

The purple eyed male turned away from the stranger. Our mission went wrong, he got captured. I.. I couldn't save him. The genin was angry and ashamed. How can I live with myself... Fukai was lamenting his decision. Sure he had been given clear orders, but they were for his safety. Something that the silver haired young man didn't value so much anymore. Now that he talked to the girl in front of him, he found that he could clearly order his thoughts. Fukai realised that he had made the wrong choice. I should have risked it. I can't live with myself after today if I don't go back now. This conclusion calmed him down. He faced the girl again, standing up straight and looking at her straight in the eye. I'm going back. With that, he walked past her for a few metres and set off at the fastest pace that he could maintain in the direction of the camp. When he looked over his shoulder he saw the young woman following him. Sorry Karumo, it may be selfish, but I can't let you go. Forgive me for disobeying your orders just this once.

The two of them traveled back up the valley towards the cave. After a long while of running in silence, the genin spoke. ... Thanks for coming. Fukai truly was. He wasn't sure as to how much the girl could do to help, but any would be welcome. She seemed to be able to keep up with him without any problems. When they neared the cliff, he started speaking again. We were surveying a human trafficking operation when things went wrong. Karumo was taken and hopefully he is still in there somewhere, alive. Most of the thugs look like they are weak, though. Most of them probably aren't even ninjas. Just watch out, their leader will probably be around. They arrived at the cliffs surrounding the cave. The pair stayed out of sight as they watched the entrance. The human produce must have been moved inside by now. The exterior is lightly guarded but there is many more inside. Fukai estimated he had seen about 25 bandits. Once we start, there is no going back. In and out as fast as possible. Are you ready?

Fukai got as close as he could to the entrance without being spotted. He then drew his staff and took a few quick breaths. He charged the entrance, about twenty metres away. There were five guards surrounding. Two had swords and the others were bare-handed. The genin covered his staff with a coat of chakra and the charged it with raiton. It crackled in eagerness. He whispered into his scarf I need you. As he got 10 metres away, the thugs noticed him. They looked weak, hired muscle of the lowest quality. One of the sword wielders charged at him. Fukai ran up to him and blocked the swing with his own weapon. Two of the other guards quickly surrounded him. It was three on one. Completely unfair - for them. As the two tried to grab him from behind, the two ends of Fukai's red scarf rose up and shot out at them, circling around their throats and tightening. He then took advantage of the surprise of the swordsman in front of him by shifting his weight behind his staff, lunging at his weak stance. The end of the staff formed a sharp tip as it plunged into his gut. He followed up with another few stabs, then ran past him. The two being strangled by his scarf collapsed, unconscious. The scarf retracted and returned to him. He would leave the other two to the new girl.

He ducked inside the cave. The uproar of an alarm was already starting to go around. People poured out of rooms. Time was in short supply. There were two tunnels leading into the cave, he was surprised at how deep they went. He decided that they were definitely not natural and that this must be more than a temporary shelter. Fukai had to make a choice. He went with the left tunnel. The right tunnel had more thugs pouring out from it, which could prove bothersome. Let's go this way. He shouted over to the green headded young lady. Fukai raced down the tunnel, natural light transitioned into thin lamp light. A large metal door was imbedded in the wall about 50 metres in. Just as Fukai ran up to it, it opened with another man exiting. The scarf rose up once again, this time wrapping over his eyes as Fukai smashed his knees, sending him to the floor. He then poked his head in to see Karumo in the room, chained up to the wall. The clan head did not look very well. The silver haired male succumbed to a wave of guilt. The thugs were closing in, there were more than he had predicted. He's in here, buy me some time! He called to his accomplice. He ran in to his friend's side. As he worked the chains, he avoided eye contact. I'm sorry. I couldn't leave you. After a few wasted seconds, Fukai resorted to smashing at the chains. It would take another 15 precious seconds before the chains fell off. He hoped the small girl would be alright.

What the hell is going on in there? A bellow came from another door leading from the room. It slammed open with tremendous force. A large man steeped into the room and Fukai could immediately sense his strength. The air thickened as the two purple eyed young men stared at the hulking leader. How are you feeling? We may need to fight. Karumo was injured and the girl was busy with the grunts outside. Somehow, he needed to squirm his way out of another tight spot. And this time, he wasn't leaving anyone behind.

Jet eyed the lad warily, not trusting him in the slightest but when she saw his forehead protector, she saw it was genuine. Having spent years moving from one disguise to another she knew how to tell whether a forehead protector was of the genuine article or forged. The young man was lucky today and it appeared he will be so. Jet had recognized his surname well, and her interest was peaked but only in the slightest. She had a thing for looking into the abilities of certain clans, especially those with dobujutsu since their powers are transferable though at a cost. The phantom eyes of the Fantomusodo clan were powerful but supplementary at most if not wielded properly. Yet that fear clouded their enemies sense of proper judgement and numerous assassination attempt were launched on the unsuspecting clan, but they always seemed to persevere; the spirits of the damned warriors clan. For a moment her thoughts strayed from their usual rail as she calculated the specimen before her and how...ravishing his innards would be when she dissected him. But alas that was to be for another day.

So those old farts operation has finally been caught. Haha we wondered when someone would finally noticed as they haven't been exactly quite about their business. We should probably clean the mess up before it gets out of hand. "Very well, since there is not immediate buissness we must attend to, we shall provide some form of aid" Kira hopped off her friend's shoulder as Jet dropped the child from her hold as put the kunai away in storage. Jet glanced at her partner for a moment as she planned out how to proceed with the situation since it wasn't going to deter her other plans but even proved useful to be in the clan's good graces "Kira you are to return to the village and get us some back up. Use shortcut UT to get their faster and head to the patrol outpost closets to where we left off then report back to us. You can track us by Fantomusodo's trail he'll leave behind. Are we clear?" Kira nodded and trailed off, disappearing over the horizon

Jet snapped her attention back to the crestfallen shinobi and was not impressed. It was obvious he wasn't a shinobi for long but it was not her responsibility to oversee him though if she was going to help him out she would prefer not to watch his hind the entire time. However she had faith that Kira would bring back appropriate back up. Then Jet chuckled as a new fire burned within Fukai. It seems he found his bearings. She smirked and barely nodded her head in praise of the boy's resolve, rolling her eyes jokingly, as she sped after him keeping a meter behind. When he thanked her for coming along she shrugged it off as she didn't deserve her gratitude for she was participating for her own plans. Yet she made sure to listen carefully when he explained the situation as there was always a chance that she could be missing an important piece of information though she was proven wrong since she realized something didn't add up. Several of her client whispered about the human slave traders having a surplus of thugs yes but there enforcers were not the usual dumbells so the limette decided to keep her wits about her. Quickly she slipped one of her wireless headphones in her ear and to Fukai's as well in case they were separated for too long and wordlessly she slipped into her jutsu

He probably won't notice us and head off immediately to his friend. No matter then. She grinned maliciously as one eye became a fiery blood red and the other a blazing orange amber and slid her sword from its sheath as she blurred towards the unsuspecting bandits who managed to shake off the shock of Fukai's dismissal of them and tired to reach a security seal to warn the entire base of the intruders. No no we won't have any of that children. Two bandits were left and it was the one with the sword that headed for the alarm. With the precision of a deadly viper she struck out, slicing his tendons off then yanking him from behind by the collar of his kimono to gag him with the sharpen side of her blade, effectively ripping his mouth in half but not all the way because she followed by bending backward with her hard earn flexibility from years on the trapeze and threw him towards his frightened partner as her free hand stabbed a kunai harshly into his neck. Delicious. The fresh taste of soiled blood beautiful on the pale canvas of her face and awakened her inner thirst for bloodshed. When the two collided the unarmed bandit stumbled back a couple feet but didn't fall down so she did a couple back flips towards them and once she was close in contact with the unarmed one she wrapped her ankles around his neck and effectively pulled him forward face first in the ground which as soon as it hit her legs snapped his neck followed by one handed leg sweep and rebounded back on her legs then proceeded to grab her katana, following Fukai inside.

Seems that no matter what we do the alarm will sense the intruders; how unfortunate. Jet's heart raced as the thugs seemed to pour out by the dozen from the right tunnel and numbly nodded to Fukai but softly pressed her right index finger to her radio in her ear so he would hear her speak "Don't be so loud and reckless. You caused more to follow us and I don't want to be doing all the work. You need to remember we already are getting your friend who is most likely in a poor condition or in the worst case dead. Do not we repeat, add yourself to that list" But it seemed he wasn't listen to her. Of course he wouldn't listen. Hmph men. Jet facepalmed as she side stepped an arieal kick towards the wall where she stood infront of where Fukai last was and sliced the attacker's neck spraying blood everywhere. The same fate followed Four more before she was cornered in front of the room Fukai fled in to aid his fallen comerade. Her lack of amusement was apparent when it seemed he wasn't going to be of any use to her. Well technically they couldn't see her but they were closing in where Fukai was and by extension her. Annoyed 3 fireclones popped into existence and together with the orignal their hands formed the tiger handseal and blew out the flamethrower version of the Great fireball jutsu. The men cried in agony as the entire tunnel and entrace was covered in flames which continued to lick at their managled corspes. Sighing, the clones popped out of existence and Jet took this as her cue get whatever she can from the corspes. Thankfully she had her katana on her so she wouldn't get burned so she took everything of value; ryo, IDs, keys, etc though most of the stuff were burned to a crisp but no matter.

She killed at least 20 or so with that attack but it wasn't them all. A furious but frightened cry cut through the deafening silence. It appeared one of the bandits survived but barely. Half his upper body was burned beyond repair and the pain as it appeared mustn't sent him into a furious blind rage as he was attacking everything in a close radius within him. No matter he will prove useful for now. He didn't notice her or rather he couldn't as she was practically a ghost without so much as a whisper now. Jet grabbed him by his head and smashed it into a burning wall then blurred to his other side and kicked him down to the ground into a small pile of corpses. The alarms were still blaring so she didn't have time to waste before reinforcements arrived. Her foot crushed his tender ribs and he struggled to breathe, praying to kami for mercy. How weak. "Tell us your numbers and where the human cargo are located. Now or we will increase your pain tenfold. Trust us this suffering is child's play compared to the hell we are capable of" The bandit defiantly gone insane or better worded disillusion as he spouted nonsense. Pathetic. Her katana pierced through to his kidneys painfully and haphazardly for it was rusted beyond belief and tainted with soiled blood of both the innocent and the wicked. It only made him cried harder before he gave up and spilled his secrets making her grin viciously and while he could see her for when he stutter during his plead Jet had ran her sword across his eyeballs, permanently blinding him, his heart shook with undeniable fear. When he had no more information to give he begged for his life but he was cut off short when she held him up by his neck and ripped his throat out with her kunai claws (a kunai between each finger) to silence him. Jet then pressed her finger to her ear "We are going to take care of the potential reinforcements as well as the human cargo. Back shouldn't take too long so get to safety okay" Though the radio was suspiciously silent.

Sekuro waited, he fell asleep a few times here and there, he could hardly stay focused, he had lost track of time and was no closer to anything happening in his mind. A man came in with a rag soaked in water and drained it in his mouth, it seemed they intended to keep him alive for at least a little bit longer. It couldn't have been that long since he fell, he wondered how far Fukai had gone before he found help or was able to report it, regardless he heard the sounds of people yelling outside calling for things to be moved around and packed up. It was between the shouts that he heard some more distinct, almost screams coming from the entrance. . . It caught his attention as his eyes and head shot up, he began to wiggle in his bonds, hoping he might be able to free himself. If something was happening he would need to use this time to escape and it would provide an excellent cover for his way out, he hoped at the very least. Then the alarm went off, he could hear it's loud siren call from around the area easily, was that his rescue party, no time to waste as he continued wiggling, his broken shoulder providing him no help, he almost wished he could just remove it and reattach it later, but that would be stupidly ridiculous. A man waked into his wiggling and trying to escape, he took note, and with a grimace beat him senseless, several shots to his stomach and face, he probably looked like hell right now, but that was no problem, all these bandits were weak, he'd been hit by far worse before.

It was as the man began to leave that he was suddenly attacked, Sekuro's vision and focus fading, a familiar voice filled the air. It was Fukai, and he was yelling at someone, he ran towards Sekuro, as he began to try and deal with the chains that held him, all he could hear was I'm sorry. I couldn't leave you., not that he wasn't happy to see him but it appears he did what he said and brought back-up, hopefully they could handle the job. It was after Fukai helped him to his feet, his right arm drooped to his side from his broken shoulder, his left leaned against Fukai as he regained his balance and his bearings. Another man entered in the room yelling and bellowing about what was going on, and in Fukai's ear, he could see a radio and heard the sound of a voice calling out to Fukai, interesting indeed, it was then that Fukai asked him if he was ready, capable of fighting, if he only knew as Sekuro smiled. My shoulder's absolutely destroyed right now, the bone might as well be powder currently but I think I can give him a good go, if I don't finish him here then it'll be up to you. and with that he nodded to Fukai hoping he got the plan and let his left arm down off him.

Sekuro seemed to have his balance now as he took his right arm in his left hand, it trembling from the struggle to get it up, he grabbed his hand and begrudingly weilded the tiger seal, he should have enough space between him and Fukai for his blast to not seriously affect them but guarantee he would hit his target head on, there was nearly no room to react. Holding the tiger seal he breathed in as deeply as he could, the man braced himself, he had no idea what tricks he had up his sleeves but he would have to act quick to avoid this one, Fire Style: Flame Bullet! was called out as an extremely large stream of fire left him, headed straight for the man, even if he blocked it with a weapon the flames would still wrap around and burn him, he would need a powerful Suiton jutsu to block it and with about a second to react before it hit him, how would he even weave the signs? He would watch as the fire would swallow the man, major second and minor second degree burns would consume him as the moisture and air in the room would evaporate, it was getting way too hot in there now.

He waited and watched to see if the man would squirm his way back to life, no doubt reeling from his attack at the very least, hopefully that would be the end of it and Sekuro could limp away with Fukai back to the village and get treated for his wounds and give his report. If getting back to the village would be as easy as he hopes it is.

He helped his friend up from the wall, supporting him from falling. Fukai could feel that Karumo was in bad shape, most of the man's weight was resting on him. A large man had entered the room, roaring in reaction to the commotion and distracting him from Jet's message. The clan head confirmed his suspicions, but was surprisingly willing to contribute. Fukai respected his choice and slowly eased his weight back onto his own feet. He watched his friend shakily start to form the seals for a fire jutsu. His movements were quite obviously laborious and pained. He quickly picked up his staff, waiting to give support if needed. The officer saw the signs and roared again as he sheltered his head from the blast the flaming projectile that streamed towards him. The flames hit him straight on and burned his flesh. the walls behind him caught fire and flames rose up, highlighting the large man in the doorway. When he brought down his arms, Fukai could see the slightly scarred face of a very angry man. Gah you damn brats! I see there was more of you crawling around. Well no matter, I shall have to end you here before this gets out of hand. The young man was surprised at the leader's fortitude as he drew his sword and ran at Karumo. Without thinking, the genin jumped in front and blocked the downward swing of the sword with his own weapon. He didn't think, he didn't say anything. Really, the young man was tired from the stress of the day. But this, close range combat with weapons, he could do in his sleep. He levered the sword with his staff, sending it sideways. The large statured man recovered quickly, but with the small amount of time it took to swing again, Fukai rushed in close to the man and jabbed him in the throat with the blunt end of the staff. This caused the man to cringe back. Fukai had bought himself more time, and he cashed it in by sending two full power swings at both sides of his hips, the resultant force making him crash to his knees. Fukai kicked the sword out of the disoriented man's hand and walked around behind him.

The officer leader was now on his knees, facing Karumo. Fukai stood behind the man and wrapped his own hands in his scarf, placing them on the victim and broke his neck with the added strength of the animation jutsu. He then spoke to Jet as well as Karumo. Come on, time is still ticking. Let's get outta here. He went back to support his friend as they limped out of the room. Exiting the side room, the came out into the main tunnel to find corpses lining the tunnel. The sheer number of them were surprising and Fukai found himself amazed that the little girl could have possibly done this. He continued to help his clan head hobble down the passage, it was clear of any thugs. "take care of the human cargo" is what he remembered from the speaker buzzing in his ear. The way that sentence was put together slightly troubled him, she didn't say 'free the people'. Come to think about it, what are her motives for helping me? Whatever way, she had been there and made it possible for him to rescue Karumo, and he was very grateful. The pair made it to the entrance of the cave and waited there for Jet. Fukai was concerned for her. Hopefully she will be alright on her own. If those remains were anything to go by, it showed that she possessed lethal skill. He could see the caravan, fleeing the hideout through the valley of mountains. No doubt they were on their way to alert the other branches of the organisation. This came with a sinking feeling to the genin, he knew that Karumo had hoped to keep their investigation a secret, hopefully this blundered mission won't come with any backlash. Hey Karumo, I'm sorry. I had to depend on that girl to help me get you back. I am weak. I promise I will become stronger from here on out, I want to become someone that you can depend on. Fukai met his friends eyes, purple to purple, to make sure that his honest declaration would be taken seriously.

Not long after she disposed of the grunts, she heard more leaving. Probably feeling in order to inform others in their organization. No mater, we will make sure to cleanse Tsuchi no Kuni of any rodents. The Underworld has no need of such weaklings. Jet's eyes calmed down as the blood lust seeped out of her and returned to a chilling liquid gold. Up she went as she took out a rag to wipe any excess blood from her blade, not that it was entirely necessary. The katana was rusted from years of abuse and neglected making it all the harder to maintain but she figured she was getting a new sword anyway that should eliminate the need for it somewhat. Ah we should probably check up on those sealing bandages Maki's been working on. It would certainly make carrying multiple weapons easy. Take a right here. She passed through the tunnels without a whisper, killing any stray grunts that hadn't fled yet along the way easily. Eventually she arrived at her destination. A large metal reinforced door stood in her way without a key hole in sight. Combination it seemed. While these types of locks were time-consuming she wasn't worried as back up would be arriving any minutes so she sheathed her blade and put her ear to the door, humming softly as she began to pick it

Click

And she was in. She smirked slightly as she patted herself on the back and strolled inside. It seemed they all hadn't left apparently. There were about ten men left. Luckily the two guarding the two were caught off guard from it suddenly opening so she took this opportunity to arm herself with one kunai in each hand and plunged them into their necks before ripping them and tossing them into the eyes of the next two patrol guards on the platform coming from the left and right, killing them effectively. A cry shouted as the remaining guards armed them with katanas and whips. There were about six guys lefts. Four were hauling the human cargo out of their cages. Another was leading them to a large cage on a cart in the back by an exit. And lastly the final one was coming up the stares now. Interesting Jet hummed to herself. Although this one couldn't see her he could sense her. She caught a rosemary around his neck and Jet awed with understanding. A priest or would-be wannabe would of course be in tune spiritually giving him higher awareness of his surroundings. A pity we must kill him she sighed in disappointment. But we can always stop by the fire temple and get one of theirs in exchange for a night of pleasure she reminded herself remembering the corrupted natures of some of the 'holy' men in the temple.

What should be done about the human cargo?

Jet questioned herself with the heavy decision before her. It seemed the Fantomusodos were adamant about putting a halt in the human trafficking operations around here. If she wanted to be in their good graces she has to be careful with her choices. Obviously killing them all wouldn't be appropriate unless there were on their deathbed. The grunt dodged her striking after receiving a foreboding feeling but Jet paid it no mind as she twisted her hip and raising her left leg as her heel struck down on the back of his neck, making him dizzy but not quite unconscious so she wrapped her leg around his neck and slithered up his body, wrapping both legs tightly around his neck with his face in her abdomen; the muscles in her body tightened as she bent backwards and propelling themselves to the ground but not before she released him doing a back flip safely onto the ground whilst his head connected with the platform harshly cracking his skull and killing him instantly for Jet had to snap his neck in order to complete her back flip. He would want to see some of the people freed at least but wouldn't that be a waste. We are not for human trafficking but we're not against it either as we were once slaves as well. Perhaps we can take the useful ones to one of our hideout's in the country, maybe in Kaze no Kuni and put them to work. The normal ones can be invited as well if they want to start a new life.  And if anyone is completely useless we will not offer them the deal and let them be on their merry way but make sure that they remember they are indebted to us....and the Fantomusodos as well but mainly us; it's always important to sow the seeds she recalled.

Screams had filled the air but Jet paid it no mind as she continued her assault. The human cargo were crying, frozen in fear and refused to leave their cages where they naively believed to be safer than out of them, and they weren't far off. They couldn't see her but were attacking like animals back up into a corner. Snarling. Slashing. Barking. Trying to mask their fear but to no avail. Her eyes saw all. However despite this she was getting bored of this. Her kill count was what, in the thirties, soon to be almost forties? But it wasn't as fun anymore. These vermin were weak, their blood not even worthy to stain her blade. Regardless she will give them a quick death. As her blade was sheathed her hands flew in a flurry of hand signs and random objects such as metal cuffs, rocks, or anything in sight levitated and were launched towards the last of the five guards; two in the back of their heads killing them effectively and wordlessly. As soon as the coast was clear she dispelled the invisibility jutsu, appearing suddenly in the eyes of the freed slaves. She eyed them carefully as she brandished her iwa head band so they would drop their guards a bit and opened her mouth "Hello"...

After some time, Jet left the cave to the entrance in satisfaction. A large group of useless humans including some children were coming with her, a good diversion to those who had now joined her cause and left for the hideouts or wherever they were needed. Speaking of child she was carrying one on her back and one on her heads. They called her onee-chan or angel in thanks for saving them, despite her being covered her blood or at least her coat was. She had shed that during their meetings and handed it over to one of the children' mothers to have it cleaned in thanks. Her face remained blank as she saw Kira with fifteen random shinobi; six chuunins, three spec. jounin who appeared to be in the area returning from a mission, two jounin heading over to one, and four ANBU to investigate the situation. These shinobi were discussing something with the Fantomusodos and left when she stood by their side. Some remained in order to investigate, one went back to relay the information back to the, while others went back to their mission or went after the caravan that escaped. The three spec. jounin decided to escort them to the village to prevert further issues. Jet took the wireless radio back from Fukai while pocketing her own and scanned over his friend. "We hope you both learned from this blunder, it seems you are starting to Fantomusodo Fukai, and will not have a repeat of today..." She narrowed her eyes slightly at his friend "And since we did not introduce ourselves we are Jet, a yuurei whom may you be?"

Fukai finished off the man, no problem, he was quite skilled in the end and broke his neck with a scarf, an interesting technique and quite a dangerous one, to have another limb available like that. A skill Sekuro would take note of, but what interested him more was how quickly and relentlessly he finished off the man, albeit he deserved his punishment for the things he had done, intolerable things by Sekuro's standard and maybe that emotion struck Fukai as well. Regardless of they exited the compound, waiting to rendezvous with whoever else might have been in the compound, Fukai spoke while they carried themselves out of the way, Hey Karumo, I'm sorry. I had to depend on that girl to help me get you back. I am weak. I promise I will become stronger from here on out, I want to become someone that you can depend on. Sekuro sat down for a second, stretching out his limbs and trying to gauge where he lost the most flexibility in it. Sekuro responded as he pulled on his shoulders and rotated his head, It's no problem, we both knew going into it that even the both of us wouldn't be able to take them all on. And as for someone to depend on, I don't know if I want that responsibility, I mean having someone who devotes themselves like that to me of all people. You should become stronger not for me, but for the village, and those who can't defend themselves, not someone who can fight back. a grin formed on his face as his eyes wandered over to Fukai to see his reaction.

Soon after, a group exited the cave and he noticed a group of ninja approaching from off in the distance, Sekuro struggled to stand back up and greet them, hopefully one of them could use medical ninjutsu and if not, it would be a long walk back to the village. ANBU showed up and began to talk to the girl who headed the group from the cave, watching from a distance Sekuro watched as they dispersed and began to search the caves and clearing out the groups. A few stayed behind, most likely their escort, and no med personnel among them which meant a long trip back, luckily he wouldn't feel the pain of it, he just risked passing out before he even got there. As they met up with the girl and the squad she began to call out Fukai, no concern for his safety or condition, more focused on the lecture to give him. Interesting indeed, and then her attention turned towards Sekuro, his purple eyes wide and ready for whatever she might have to say to him. "And since we did not introduce ourselves we are Jet, a yuurei whom may you be?" she said with a sternness that would make an introduction uncomfortable.

With a sigh Sekuro replied, You can call me Sekuro, one of the others who carries these purple eyes. It's nice to meet you, I appreciate you helping Fukai out, and especially so for helping to get me out of there. Now, we should head back to the village, I'm sure we've all had a long day and I need to get to a hospital and get checked out, so after you guys. he said waving the group onwards, he was desperate to get checked out and cleaned up. We can talk about anything else on the way if you have questions, but I think the ANBU have this place pretty well covered and I've had enough of this cave for one day. and with that Sekuro would follow behind the ANBU squad, albeit at a slower pace since moving quickly with his injuries was out of the question. Truth be told, he was glad they showed up, and glad for Fukai, even if he hadn't felt like he could be depended on. He still got Sekuro out of there in one piece and no one else had been seriously injured, meaning he had done extremely well in a tough situation, having your squad mate fall and be sent to his imminent doom before his very eyes. It must have been tough, but regardless of his strength, Fukai had earned his trust, and this Jet. She had no connection to him but she helped out anyways and it would be something he would be thankful for, and a debt he would need to pay back once he was on his feet and running again.

He listened to his clan head as the man told him that he didn't want the responsibility. Instead, Karumo said to become stronger for 'those that couldn't defend themselves'. Fukai pursed his lips and wondered on what this would entail. Those who can't defend themselves? To the genin it sounded like the sort of people who would get trampled on in this land. And as for helping them.. He had only ever thought of his link to the village as a whole as one of employed duty, he got the sense that what his friend was speaking of was something more. This made the young man review his outlook. He thought of all of the soul living in Iwa. Young and old, cruel and kind alike. Did he himself have a responsibility towards them as a ninja of the village? He had always felt detached and conducted himself with a somewhat laizzes faire attitude towards the happenings around him. Tragedy was the norm and  something that would be forever present.

A group of shinobi that had been travelling on the road from the village came to meet them at the cave mouth. A few moved past them and into the cave while a couple quickly surveyed the surrounding area. Fukai reported to them what had happened, keeping details simplified. He wanted to get Karumo back home so he could get some treatment. The green haired girl appeared as he finished his report. She then proceeded to scold them for the bunged mission. His eyebrow twitched but he would not make mention of her impudence in the light that she had saved both of their arses. He handed the radio back and then Karumo greeted her in his usual cool demeanor and suggested that they start heading back, signalling tho the anbu pack that they were ready to leave.

Fukai was tired from the events of the day, he was both physically and mentally exhausted from the stress. The three set off back down the road through the valley of mountains. The genin stretched and massaged his bruises and strains, his own injuries were minor. He walked inbetween Karumo and Jet. Turning to look as his clan head, he thought again about what he had said about not wanting responsibility. Did he realise that he is in a position of responsibility? The silver haired male was sure that he would need his help in the future, he may just have to learn that the hard way. No one can burden themselves completely, a lone wolf can't provide for a pack.

Putting his hands up to hold the back of his head, he turned to the girl called Jet. He studied the small figure a few years younger than himself, he was surprised at the amount of damage she had been able to wreak back in the cave. He would make sure not to underestimate her in the future. While he looked at her he realised how cute she was and blushed a little while turning away. Fukai felt he owed the girl quite a large deal for her help today, he would make sure to repay her in due course. Hey Jet, I want to thank you for what you did today and know that I am in your debt. If you need something, come see me ok? He was not sure what he would be able to do for such a capable person but maybe she would have her own trouble some day.

As the trio continued behind the masked ninja, Fukai suddenly felt a wave of relief and pure happiness that today wasn't a disaster. Sure they mucked up, but everyone was alive and that is what he cared about. The big male would laugh and throw his arms around the necks of his two companions and hug them into him. He may not have known Jet very long but as far as he was concerned, she was now his friend. And she should know what that word means to Fukai already.

He for one, was glad that the day was over.

"You are welcome Sekuro-san. It is our duty as fellow iwa-nin to help each other out in times of need, especially if there are vermin who wish our village and its citizens harm" She paused for a second before her gaze turned cold and piercing but not threatening, while she wasn't close to the two in any way she could not bear to see potential go to waste (though she wasn't sure if it was the humanity inside her or her inner scientist) "But as We have said to your companion, we hope you have learned from this. You are only a genin, both of you two are. If you knew about these matters, threat to your clan or not, you should have reported this to your superiors as protocol states. What if we had not been on an outing? Or if no one else was? They might've been mere thugs but the life of a shinobi is unpredictable. They might've been stronger than you can handle which they were"

"And stop for a minute and think of the fate that would've befallen the two of you. Fukai-san would be distraught from losing a friend and faced undeniable retribution from the village council. Do not think that they would be so forgiving. Your name would have been carved into the memorial stone perhaps if they were feeling generous while your friend would be suspended from his duties and left to wallow in self-annihilation which from experience I can say is not a pretty sight to see. It is clear he cares for you don't you Fukai?" She turned to one of the spec jounin whom were escorting them and gave him an unspoken message. Wordlessly the shinobi nodded and put Sekuro on his back, careful not to further aggravate his injuries.

"Regardless we agree about too much caves. We have had enough of them today. We are shinobi not pest control" The last part came out rather bitterly but who can blame her. Her blade was in dire need of a maintenance check. She was soaked in dirt, blood and ash. Children were hanging off her and were being so damn annoying. And now she missed out on a black list mission that she could've used to concourse the target's family into her debt. While she did get some new pawns to pay with they didn't do much to alleviate her mood. Maybe we should hit the doctor up for some chill pills. Maki is sure to have a field day when we get back. Jet mentally shivered as she thought about it. The woman was old and shorter than a 10 year old but she was an ex-ANBU Captain for a reason. Still aforementioned, today wasn't a total loss if these two men were any indication.

"Be careful with your word Fukai-san. We will make sure to hold you to them" She chide lightly to him after seeing the faint blush that dusted his cheeks. So what if she had shed that idiotic jovial facade? She still enjoyed messing with other people. A bad habit yes but one that will always stay. Then she yelped in surprised as she was dragged by her neck into a hug and gagged a bit saying repeatedly to be careful while she tried to balance the child hanging off her shoulders messing with her long lime green locks...
