Mission Details:

Gin received a small basket full of colorful eggs from a man at the Administrative Building. Really she had just been passing by, which was why she had been so confused as to why the hell she would get a gist like that. It really made little sense to the Kuroka woman, which led to her just blurting out the words "What the fuck, old man?" in a rather crude way. The man smiled kindly, though, and explained that they were meant for the children at the hospital that was just past the woods. What an odd place to put a hospital, Gin thought. Looking again at the basket of eggs and then back at the elder, she shrugged and agreed to act as a delivery girl for this one time. After all, she had been doing favors for these people for the last couple of days. And regardless of the fact that they had mostly been for her own sake and that of her own plans of revenge against that stupid Moon Rabbit, she had still placed herself at the service of these people. Of course, she also had nothing better to do, so she thought she might as well take care of this rather easy task. Nodding at the elder, she took the eggs in hand and began to walk in the general direction of where the hospital was. He had also been kind enough to give her a small map detailing the landmarks that she had to pass by just in case she got lost along the way.

It wasn't really in Gin's nature to take these sorts of tasks upon herself just because, but she had always had a bit of a soft spot when it came to children. That excluded situations in which she had to train them, however. When it came to that, Gin was as brutal as brutal could be. Nevertheless, these kids were in a hospital and likely bedridden throughout the festivities. Having some kids - five to be exact and maybe even plans for more later on - of her own, she had really developed sympathy for young children. That was her reasoning for doing this favor for that elder.

Upon closer inspection, Gin noticed that the eggs seemed rather frail. She frowned for a moment before coming up with an easy solution. She didn't want any of them to break along the way, after all. And the faster that she could get to the hospital, the faster these kids got their little pick me ups and also the faster she could get back to fining something to do for her own purposes... training, most likely. That was the way things seemed to go nowadays - train, train, train. In any case, she took out one of the simple sealing scrolls that were in her weapons and items pouch. She moved to the side of the road - uncrowded and unbothered - so that she could spread the scroll out before her feet. The former Kazekage turned Sannin placed the basket atop the piece of parchment paper. She infused chakra into the palms of her hands and pressed them onto it. A puff of smoke replaced the colorful basket. Once it dissipated, only markings of black ink remained etched onto the scroll. Gin smiled at her self. The eggs would be safe that way.

The former Kazekage placed the scroll back where it belonged and set off. The shops around the Cocoa Valley were crowded and colorful. Each one of the buildings were painted in different colors which somehow meshed together quite harmoniously. It was a good change of pace compared to the rather dreary coloring of Kirigakure or even the monotone surroundings of Sunagakure. There wasn't really a set time frame for Gin to finish this assignment, so she figured that as long as she got there before sundown, she would be able to complete it as was required of her. Therefore, that gave her a bit of time to look around.

Half an hour later, Gin was walking around with a scroll filled with both the eggs and all kinds of chocolate for the kids. Now was the time to finally get over there and give it to them. She actually had an innocent kind of excitement about her. It was a rare feeling, but one that she appreciated. She began to run, following the directions on the map. She soon left the Cocoa Valley and entered the forest, as was directed. It was still bright outside and quite a nice day in general. The sun shone in between the leaves of the trees overhead. Gin's feet crunched softly against the grass underneath them. The smell in the air was mostly fresh save for that damp and dirty smell in the background... smelled kind of like... wet... dog. Goddammit, couldn't anything go smoothly for once in Gin's lifetime?!

The gowling was faint but it was growing louder and louder. Gin sighed in frustration. She could try to outrun the damn things with a quick sprint, but that only meant that they would still be a danger to whoever tried to come near the hospital. She couldn't quite have that, now, could she? People visiting the kids shouldn't have to end up as patients themselves. With a groan in the back of her throat, she drew her sword, waiting for the beasts to crowd around her and lunge towards her before making her move. They acted on instinct, much like Gin always did in a fight. Too bad they lacked opposable thumbs. Gin held her weapon firmly and slashed in multiple directions. Soon enough, nothing was left of the assailants but their carcasses. It was a shame, really, but something necessary. A few moments later, Gin unsealed the eggs and chocolate for the children and the hospital workers, who were more than glad to have the treats there for their amusement. All in all, it was a pretty good day.
