The arena had left him a note, as the boy was lying in his bed wondering what it could possibly be as his eyes were blank, not a single distinct thought in his head besides the thought of whether to open or not. His legs hanging half off the bed as he swung them, his feet going up and down as his knees bent as he was warming up for the day ahead. His loose t-shirt seemed to be hanging down rather far since it was too big for him to begin with.

He finally sighed and just opened the letter quickly as it had the words he had been waiting to see for a long time.

'If you are strong and feel you can beat anyone as long as the fight is fair, come to the hero arena where everyone is equal. If you enter be warned the strong will become weak and the weak shall become the strong. Those who arrive at this tournament must know that for today it is a one on one fight and we have selected two participants for this event. If this event is successful you may be required to enter again, knowing this do you wish to continue. Only the strongest can win.'

He got a smile on his face as he began taking the second part of the form before filling it in, and running towards the venue. As he took all his gear with him he finally got there and was met with by some strange people in white coats as they looked at him. They began to approach him, but they seemed to have nothing threatening about them as they finally said.

"Welcome, Yuzu Ren, we kindly request that you take off your shirt so we may begin the preparations for the cursed seal, it will limit your abilities and you may also feel strange being weaker than your usual self. We are also taking away any weapons or items above the rank of what is allowed by a genin, to avoid any unecessary casualties. After the battle we will release the seal, so rest assured you are safe, we think."

As he thought about what that meant he just nodded as he took off his shirt. Standing there in his blue shorts he wondered whether he was doing the right thing. The one lady then spoke, "Get the others to come with we are going to need more people to seal away his chakra"

There were close to what looked like fifty shinobi all in medical outfits as the lady then approached him and said, "Prepare to know what it is like to be weak, if you leave here with your head held high, then you will truly be strong", as she said that she placed her palm on his forehead, another girl placed her hand on his chest and one placed her cold palm on his back and two placed arms on his knees while the other two placed their palms on his elbows, he counted that as being seven when all of a sudden he felt like something hit him hard as he began to scream.

"AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
the area shook as they all focused his chakra being drained, his muscles being restricted, his capabilities being sealed and even his eyes had a hand over them which was not a hand but merely the darkness of him nearly blacking out from the power surge, he held on to his own consciousness as the chakra flowing from him went wild as one person had blood dripping as someone took his place. "Keep it up, we nearly done, just watch out for his chakra and do not lose focus, we can do this".

After what took close to an hour, they all were breathing heavily as the boy fell to his knees, he listened to the people and could barely hear them he looked around and the world seemed to look different, he could barely make out his surroundings, his mind seemed to be moving slower than he thought he reached up to run towards the battle but his body just walked slowly. He noticed his body seemed weaker, his chakra seemed to be drained, as they gave him all the gear he was allowed to take with him. Somewhat dilerious he entered the arena as the crowd cheered for him, he barely heard anything but he remembered why he was here, and that was to prove that he was the strongest there is as he raised his sword in the air and screamed.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" as the crowd cheered loudly, as he looked to the other end of the arena as the gate behind him closed. He knew this was going to be his test, the final trial to prove to himself that he had what it takes to reach the next level.

Azumi woke up with a yawn. it was her third day in Takigakure, her first night had been fun, her second day uneventful, and so she hoped this day would be a bit more eventful. she sat up and streched, but as she opened her eyes she noticed a note sitting on her lap. panic seized her briefly. someone had been in her hotel room... she look at her body and seemed fine so she assumed that they, how ever they were, meant no harm to her. So she picked up the note and read it it read...

Dear, Hyuga Azumi

We invite to participate in a fight which will prove your once and for all you talent and abilities. if you can beat this one fight, you will prove to the world that you are a shinobi to be feared, and not to be messed with. if you agree come to the hero Arena.

Azumi gathered her gear and ran towards the door... this was just the kind fo excitement she had been looking forward to, today.

At the arena...

Azumi entered the arena, with  excitement, and wait too excited to hold still as they checked her gear and physically abilities, then gave her an Annoyed thumbs up as she heard the crowd began to  cheer. she smiled... her opponent must already be out there waiting for her. she burst the entrance to the Arena and the crowds cheer grew louder. and even bigger grin appeared a crossed her face, she was going to get to prove to all of these people just how talented she truly was. she quickly scanned the arena. her opponeant... was? no that couldn't be right?  did this little child truly stand a chance against her? it didn't matter... if she beat... it? she couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl really... again not an issue, she would just be fighting them, to prove that she was Superior. she took account of their swords, and smiled once more. close range combat was no problem. "AND BEGIN" she heard the announcer yell. she put her palms up and took the signature Hyuga stance. the viens connecting to her eyes bulged as everything around her became clear, 360 degree vision. the pride of the hyuga clan. the byakugan. hers with a slight pink shade to them. she was ready for her opponent no matter what.

The boy looked at his opponent taking in her appearance carefully, she had beautiful hair and she took a strange stance as her eyes changed. He had seen these eyes once before, but never understood their purpose or learned their name. He felt that he had to test out what these eyes could do. He walked closer and stopped roughly twenty meters away then spoke to see how she responded, "Hi, lets do this". He knew nothing about his opponent and right now he felt that he could not fight her up close until he figured out how much slower he had actually become.

As a test of her abilities he drew out three kunai and a senbon, as he tossed the three kunai towards her aiming for her chest her right leg and her head, followed by the senbon behind the kunai heading for her chest as well. While it might not be lethal it might be annoying to get a needle stuck in your chest, while all of this may have been a test he did not want to be caught standing still so the moment he released this he began to pick up speed and run around her closing in to about fifteen meters of her as he would hope to have enough time to reach top speed before finally beginning his main tactic. He did not really have an exact tactic to begin with, he had not felt this weak in a long time and in the end all he could do was hope that he had not become too weak to win a fight. Having last been defeated during the Seven Bells War he still knew that it was not impossible, as well as today being a rather special day for him. All this going on in his head as he could not keep his mind as focused as usual the after effects of the seals that were placed on him.

Azumi stood motionless, in her defensive stance. the boy spoke, she would give no reaction. not even something a simple as a slight muscle twitch in response to him talking to her. she would simply stand there in her stance. she wasn't here to make conversation or friends, she was here to win, and the less you knew a person the easier it made it on you to pound them into the ground. so she stood there in her defensive stance and waited for him to make the first move.... which he inevitably did. 3 kunai. each headed at her, aiming for different places on her body. it wasn't long before they all entered her range of sight, meaning her 360 degree vision. this was way too easy for it to be his attack... he must of had something more devious planned. he was running on the outer edge of her vision. so she could see him as he ran around her. she did quick mental math to figured he would be directly to her right as the kunai reached her. so when the kunai came she made the easy move. as simply took two steps to her right avoiding all the kunai, and the senbon that had followed after them, granted these were quick steps, but step non the less. then she would turn and face her opponent once more. he wasn't gonna hit her that easy.  the kunai flying behind her barely missing her. then she took a few more walking steps towards her opponent, but made sure that she was trained on him, ready to move at a moments notice, until she was 10 meters away from him, that is when she began to run parallel to him.

The girl gave no reaction to his words and seemed to not be willing to give him any openings, his small barrage of weak weapons to test her let him learn only one thing. When he had tossed the kunai towards her she merely sidestepped them which showed she either did not have a defence against ranged attacks or that she just did not want to be hit by something so simple. The third idea would be that she was perhaps scared of weapons since she did not seem to have any of her own to begin with.

She did however close in on him a bit before running parallel to him, which resulted in the two of them both running in circles, since she had moved to the right and he was running anticlockwise she had to follow this same motion to keep this parallel state of running. This was a bit annoying as he made a prediction from her current state and through kunai to the location she would be in next. She would either have to defend or break the status quo, but he did not stop there regardless of how she responded he would proceed to run and pick up the three kunai from earlier and the senbon before looking towards her with his guard up as he raises his sword into the air.

Whether this was a taunt was unclear, but as he reached with his left hand he was now focused as he had both hands on the hilt of his sword. He decided he would prepare to engage in close combat since ranged combat would be too slow for this battle. He also realised his movements were not only slow but the girl was equally slow, this meant as far as running was concerned they were on equal footing, but he did not know any of her abilities yet and so far only learnt of her ability to dodge kunai. How would she respond, would she accept his challenge or would she wait for him to make the first move a third time.

OOC: XD you didn't list where you were aiming your Kunai so i can safely assume that it was aimed anywhere on me, and by that i mean i get to chose where you threw it. as long as i have to change my current methods it works.

Azumi was keeping a very, very close eye on her opponent. she did not want to lose sight of him. she needed to know exactly what he was planning and what was going to happen. she would not be caught off guard. this was her fight. she was going to win this. she had to win this. she needed everyone here to see how strong she was, and how great of a ninja she would become. then... there... movement. she watched as he pulled out another kunai and threw it towards her feet, probably in order to disrupt her movements, but he kept moving. she calculated his movements quickly made a quick turn and began running towards him, leaping into the air after a few steps, completely going over the low aimed kunai. then he... stopped? he picked up his kunai and Senbon, this Gave time for Azumi to close in, she landed next to him as he finished picking them up. then he looked at her and by the time he had raised his sword, her skin was sharp, her hands on fire, and they moved with lightning speed, these had time to close that gap, and they did. at this point she was 1 meter away... her palms being able to move at 15 m/s gave her the ability to hit him 15 times in 1 second (this works with going forward and retracting due to me having 2 hands). her first palm was aimed at his hand holding his sword. she aimed to hit that hard enough to through him off of hitting her, seeing as how his sword was still in the air at this point though she wasn't terribly worried. as her first hand retracted from the attempted strike her second hand went forward and aimed for a strike at his chest. as that one went forward she charged her first hand with chakra and then thrust that hand forward as the other one retracted, and aimed it for his head, but right before it would make contact, she would make the chakra burst outwards causing a shock wave to burst towards her opponent sending him flying backwards with bruises and him hurting badly. these first three strikes happening within a fifth of a second total. if her shock wave missed, she would aim her other palm and his stomach, then aim for his arm, then his chest once more, then his stomach, then his neck, then his chest, then his hands holding the swords once more, then his stomach, then his other arm, then his stomach, then his chest once more, then finally his neck. these full 15 strikes taking only one second to complete, each contact leaving a burning hand print with several cuts where her skin touched. but she would not stop there she would keep up the barrage of palms. a non-stop flurry of palms would be sent his way, after this, constantly chosing a new place to strike each time, a new area of the body never the same place twice in a row, minaly aiming for the neck stomach, and arms, stomach and neck to stop breathing and hands to arms to disrupt usage of weapons and constantly keeping pase with him to make sure she was only 1 meter away from him at all times. however if her chakra burst hit she would run towards him as his body flailed backwards, then she would start this barrage of palms. crossing the few meters he would be sent back in a short time, then launching her flurry of palms, attacking as fast as she could.

He watched her carefully as she seemed to be watching him as well. He kept moving as he watched her evade his kunai as he proceeded to pick up his supplies, slowing down for a moment just to pick them up correctly as she began closing the gap between. Had he been his usual self he would have finished her off the moment she leaped through the air to dodge his kunai, but his reactions were not matching up to what his mind was used to. He needed to draw out the battle until his eyes and body were fully adapted to their new capabilities.

As his sword was raised she had gotten really close and it was finally time to see her technique which was what he had wanted from the start. As he put up his guard it was clear she was about to unleash something, but he was not sure how he would be forced to defend against her to begin with as he only had a few techniques he could pull out right now. He knew his chakra was limited heavily as he prepared his chakra flaring up as his hair moved slightly to indicate his preparation for a serious battle.

She came within range as he attempted to strike her with his sword, but he was countered with a hit to his left hand as he barely managed to hold on with his right hand upon the impact. It was a good idea for him to have both hands on his weapon but the small cuts she made into left hand did not penetrate completely but they still hurt quite a bit as his left hand was just slightly bleeding, nothing note worthy but it was enough to make him flinch a bit as he realized his body had lost its usual toughness, however it was worth it to learn a bit about her technique which did not seem to make much sense as the point of contact also looked slightly burnt as well.

Before he could finish trying to figure it out since her attack was far faster than he could have imagined. He just felt a blow against his chest as his body instinctively backed away which while not that fast would have made any further blows less likely to hit him directly as his idea for close combat was being blown away by some degree of brute force. She followed up with something different as he barely raised his blade in time coating it with chakra as he blocked the attack, but he was still knocked back as his sword flew out of his hands having did what it needed to do it landed roughly five meters away from him, while he was knocked back a good few meters his left hand having taken a second hit from this attack which hurt a lot more then the previous two strikes and looked like she had been aiming for his head. If she had made that hit directly who knows what would happen, but this gained him more than enough time as it broke the chain of her attack.

She dashed towards him to continue her assault as she launched her attack as splashes of water burst forth, as his body seemed to blur away. As fast as she was, there was no way for her to keep up with this technique, or at least none that he knew of, but it was clear there was more to her than just brute force as he noticed the image just evaporated behind the force of her blows. This girl was dangerous and she probably had not revealed her entire hand yet, which made it clear that he would have to show her more respect as an equal and not as some girl who just started out. His eyes changed as his left arm hung to the side as his left hand seemed really hurt as it was flinching badly, he did not need both hands but it was annoying to have to his sword with one hand only. As he drew the blade from the ground having chosen his escape location, maybe she could keep up with the movement with her eyes. However long ago he learned that there was no point seeing a technique if you could not keep up with it, as he remembered the harsh training he had done to learn this technique. The technique was harsh in the sense that he had to sacrifice a lot to develop the technique however he found that using a large supply of chakra for great speed was a waste and had trained the technique to be slower while using a far smaller supply of chakra then the original attempt for the technique. He had revealed one of his trump cards to this girl who was the first to witness his after image technique as he had been hiding it for his eventual fight with his rival.

As she would have clearly noticed his new location if she turned around to look behind her, it became annoying when he realized he did not have many techniques to work with right now. As he stood there it began to rain within a six meter radius of him as the water landed would she stay and fight within the rain which was falling down towards her or would she retreat. He had to know was she going to just keep attacking, would she defend or would she start planning something. He still needed time to analyze her technique and now would be the perfect time to do so if she gave him that chance.

as Azumi jumped forward to attack her target, he thrust several blows into it but only water splashed back, she bite her lip in anger as she saw her target appear behind her with incredible speed. he could move quickly... how frustrating. although he did seem to be a close range combat user, so this battle was in her favor. without turning around the words slipped out of her month without her meaning too "awwww is the wittle sword user to scared to fight at close range?" while her voice was mostly mocking there was a hint of anger in there. in was frustrating to have to chase a target down repeatedly. she hated it in fact. the fact that someone wielding a sword was too scared to fight at her range and had to run. as her anger surged, she turned around and began walking forward. not even running.  just walking towards her small opponent. she was gonna tear him apart. then she ran, heading full speed towards her opponent, keeping an eye on him to make sure he didn't try anything tricky. if he were to begin to weave hand signs she would stop and back up preparing to dodge, but what she planned to was see how good he was with that sword. if she entered the rain, a loud sizziling would be hard as the flame effects over her hand lessened, but didn't go away, neither id the pain they would create. if she could reach her target her first strike would be headed for her right palm head for his head, slightly to the left so he would be focused to dodge to the right, making any attack with his sword awkward and difficult to preform, however only milliseconds after her first hand was sent, also about the time it almost reached Ren's face. her second palm would be headed for that right hand of his, reaching him withing fractions of a second, it would take alot of skill to dodge these hits. her right palm was sent towards his right shoulder, but as she did that she used her right leg to attempt to kick out his legs, and at the same time used her left palm to shove him towards his left, making his balance impossible to maintain if he was hit by both, and making him fall. if he were to fall she would begin pounding on him on the ground, repeatedly hitting him in the head and back with full force. due to the seed of her hands this encounter if they had it would take less than 2 seconds, and her leg would practically begin moving once she reached him.

She seemed rather upset by the way he avoided her attack, but after losing the ability to use both hands his close range combat was now handicapped. She tried taunting him telling him he was a scared little boy, or at least that is what he thought he heard her say as he tried ignoring her so he could focus on what was important to him. He knew he had to find a way to beat her and as she stepped slowly into the rain he could see she did not seem to fear a battle in the rain at all. He was hoping to not have to do anything drastic, but before he could focus on what he needed to do she dashed towards him as he realized he would have to use it again. As she closed in on him her right palm was heading towards his head as he barely evaded it as he went into motion. Her second hit managed to hit water away as he dashed out of the way for the second time as he made a comment after she completely took out yet another splashy image. He could not see it too clearly but it looked like she went for his right hand, not only that she seemed to be really skilled in hand to hand combat even without the jutsu she seemed to still have active. He then spoke as she must have been enraged by his repeat performance of a jutsu which just happened to work twice in a row.

"If you want to hit me, try harder" as he taunted her with his hand facing her before releasing his lightning through the rain drops as it went towards her at high speeds. Whether she would just stand there and take it was one thing, but he was already preparing for his next jutsu and a small attack seemed like a good idea to disrupt her chain of attacks as he dropped his sword so it stabbed itself into the ground. he had to buy time in order to launch an attack on her with his sword, but he knew if she kept it up she might manage to land a serious hit on him. He did not have too many jutsu available as he heightened his senses in order to try and get himself a better idea of his surroundings. As the rain dropped on her so he felt her presence as he was done waiting and if she managed to dodge his technique he would begin his attack. If she took his technique head on things might turn out differently but either way he had to find her weakness.

Azumi watched as water splashed once more, as her palm entered the afterimage. She could see his movements, and almost anyone could at this point with his rain cloud following him. she turned around and sprinted towards him. by the time he managed to speak she was already running towards him, he raised his hand, and oiut shot a lighting wave. It moved too fast for her to dodge it, but when it came into contact with her chest it looked like it was cut into a million tiny pieces and simply vanished, leaving her with no burns what so ever. She was now upon him, As his sword it the ground that is when her first palm would hit him. Moving as fast as ever, her attacks were planned in this order. Chest, right hand, face, neck, right hand, chest, right shoulder, right hand, head, neck. the total time is would take these 10 hits to make contact would be 2/3rds of a second. There is no way his reaction time could keep up with all of them, and with his sword on the ground he wouldn't have time to even grab it. If he ran again he would be out of a weapon. He was going to feel her wrath. He was going to suffer. she had every intention to win this fight. Her pinkish eyes, with veins traveling to them, were watching him with an angry intent. He was going to experience pain.

He was not sure how, but for some reason no matter how fast he moved she could always keep track of him. As she seemed to be able to predict his every move and as she sprinted towards him his lightning did not even phase her in the slightest. He realized he did not have much time to be picky and he was reacting a bit too slow to use his original plan to counter her advance, so he chose a different approach as she closed in on him. He could not think of anything other than protecting what was most important to him, which right now was his head and his right hand. He had been pulling back, even with her sprint he would at least have enough time to prepare for her assault. Though it only hit him when she was on him as he had a unique cross arm block, with his left arm blocking his face and right hand and his right arm covering his chest, which was pretty much all he could do. The first attack nearly got through but it burnt the top of his right forearm as he flinched, the second aimed for his hand as it struck his left forearm as his body barely held its balance. Her palm aimed for his face hit so hard that his left arm began to shake and then she got through going for his neck it hit the side but that was enough to make him cough as he fell to the side. he nearly opened up his right hand but remembered he needed it still as she struck mercilessly as he screamed in pain. His left arm could not bare much more pain as he felt he could not hold back on his counter attack even if she could see it coming.

His mind could not keep up, all he could do was keep the same defence no matter how sloppy it had become. The next blow to the chest snuck in hitting the right of his chest as he cried out again falling down before rolling back up only to feel a strong blow to his right shoulder as she once again went for his right hand which was being supported by his left arm. Before finally she landed a blow to his head as he fell back falling out of range for a moment as he made a dash to escape falling on the ground her final attack was coming but then he snuck out of his pocket tossing metsubishi between them as he closed his eyes, even though he was safe from it she was not. She was aiming for his neck as his head was angled so it would hit the side, but even if the pain would be intense she would have to deal with the burning sensation unless she decided to call off her attack and break her momentum. There was no real way to avoid his counter attack and hit him without suffering consequences, the question was whether she felt one more blow would finish the fight or not. Everything rested on this one move and even then the slightest potential hesitation might break the momentum she just built up.

All he had left to hold on to was his right hand and the hopes of reaching his sword. His shoulder hurt a lot as he would at most not have much more he could do other than buy himself time to get used to all the pain he was feeling. However something was building up in his throat as he looked at her with a glare of defiance as his face actually had bruises on his fore head and side of his face and so on. It had been a long time since he had been beaten up this badly. What was going to happen and how would this battle turn out.

Azumi reached him, and began pummeling him. hit after hit after hit after hit, she smack him down. he managed to keep a guard over his hand which was a shame, but now his left hand was severely burnt and cut pretty deep, as well as his left hand had some major bruising, and possibly some internal as well. he also had several other places on his body that were injured, but none nearly as bad as that. she hit him so hard on her second to last hit that he stumbled backwards, just out her arms reach. he dashed, but with his injures he was slower than before, blood was draining from his body at a rapid pace due to her having cut him in several places, with that place his burns and bruises would kill him die soon if he didn't give up. Azumi easily caught him the second he dashed, and before he could even reach to grab his metsubishi she hit him hard in the neck, that plus the lack of blood to his head, should have knocked him out, But Azumi wasn't done, as she hit him the neck her other palm flew towards his head at an incredible speeds still. she had a huge advantage over him, her speed with her palms was unrivaled and she was going to take him down. The hit to the neck had at the very least interrupted the throw he was about to make. Which Azumi didn't know about but had prevented none the less, as she aimed 10 more strikes if he wasn't dead or knocked out already. the hits followed this order, Right hand, stomach, chest, head, head, chest, stomach, right hand, right and then left thigh. She was going to rip him apart. His pain would already be bad, but she was going to make worse, she was going to make him beg for mercy. She was sick and tired of him running like the little kid that he was. If he wanted to be a shinobi he couldn't run. he needed to learn to face his challenges head on. This match he hadn't even left a scratch on her so far, and he had bruises and buts and burns all over him, he shouldn't even be moving unless he was some kind of god. not that that mattered. She was going to beat the hell out of him regardless of what he was. he was a good as dead.

OOC: you are on the verge of death with your carotid severed, you have also sustained heavy wounds and with E-rank endurance those wounds have multiplied in damage making your entire upperbody practically useless. Read the guidelines for Endurance below E if you don't believe me. I would prefer it if you ended the fight next post, so we could claim EP, but if you want to drag this out, whatever. in my honest opinion your toast, and i have won. if you chose too, you can close the entire thread simply saying i accepted whatever the prize was, and then left.

He did not remember what happened as the plan he laid out played through his head over and over, however his body was too weak to keep up with his mind. Every tactic and technique failing because of the limitations placed on him. He felt a strange stinging sensation before being hit in the neck, he only felt one hit but for some reason he felt pain in two different locations on his neck. The blow to his head nearly knocked him out, but in all honesty he was no longer conscious. The experiment was a success as someone in the crowd grinned.

"The seals work, with this we can begin the operation". As the hooded figure would disappear along with a few other mysterious figures. Meanwhile back in the arena the young girl Azumi had lost her mind. She hit his right hand which just seemed to sway back from her hit, followed by the hit to the stomach which seemed to wake him up for a moment, as his eyes could barely open. A blow to the chest stopped his breathing for a moment and two hits to the head kept him from falling as he stood there in a daze as she hit his chest again. His stomach got hit so hard after that, he regained consciousness as he nearly through up coughing some little bits of blood. He felt another hit and then he felt his legs paining as she hit his thighs. The mysterious figures realized how bad things were and that while they could not heal his injuries they could not risk letting him die here. The seal was broken as she seemed hell bent on beating him to death, while he could not regain his chakra he did regain the ability to endure as realized what was going on and chose to end this as he took a back step faster than she could ever keep up with as he stood twenty meters away holding his chest a bit. His ability to naturally dash had returned but his body was heavily damaged and his chakra was low as he looked to her then said.

"You win", as he stood there knowing that if he got the victory now with his true power then it would not be fair and he would have wasted his time. He then looked towards her and said. "I want to fight you again, Azumi." He then vanished from the arena in order to recover and also to chase down the presence he was now able to pick up since the seals were broken. It was unclear how strong Azumi would become, but other than that she was a threat that might one day be his responsibility to eliminate.
