Rest Mother...You've Done Enough(Open/No Kill) Yuna_f10

Countless of people robbed in black walked down the downwards mountain pathway that would eventually lead to the flatground where the wake would be held. Sanosuke saw all this from the platform he was on. Being this elevated, from just 3 feet up above everyone else, Sanosuke was vulnerable to everyone's looks. Sanosuke couldn't help but look down. There was no way that he could even look at any of them in the eyes. They had counted on him to protect Kumogakure from any danger, but once again he let his people there. Pain blossomed in his fist as he held it tightly. Thankfully, he had ordered for his fairy gauntlets to be in the form of regular old black cotton gloves until he chose for them to transform. If it was just metallic gauntlets he was wearing, Sanosuke knew that crimson water from his body would soon drop on the platform he was on thus covering the entire wooden platform in nothing but his blood. It would cause a scene where they were not here for Sanosuke. They were all here for the passing of a great shinobi, someone that shouldn't have died. Sanosuke cursed at himself as he clenched his fist even tighter. There wasn't anymore time for him to pity himself, he had to stay strong for the people of Kumogakure. He was an important member of the village, the last thing he wanted to do was to disappoint their idol.

Draped over his body was a finely crafted black kimono that was detailed with tiny white air currents that went down the collar, there were matching pants as well. Underneath his black kimono was a white under shirt. On his feet were expensive black formal boots that captains would wear on their feet on special occasions. Sanosuke's headband was retired in his apartment. During times like these, the wearing of militarialistic like icons were frowned upon. It was a funeral and thus, they had no business being at this somber occasion. If this wasn't a funeral and Sanosuke had seen anyone wearing a headband on them, they would directly answer to him. Right over his right shoulder, Navi was floating as well. She stayed silent throughout the entire occasion and wouldn't say a word. This was actually the longest he has seen the wasp not talk for this long. If this wasn't a funeral they were at, Sanosuke would definitely have made a joke at his partner's expense. Flicking his hands through his braided hair, Sanosuke did so to brush off a drop of rain. So it was even going to rain? Even the god of the clouds are weeping for her. Looking directly to his right, about 5 meters away in an open casket that was soon to be dropped 10 feet under ground was the false body of the Kyudaime Raikage; Reika Misora. Sanosuke could barely look at the body without having knots in his stomach that were created by pure anger and frustration. They were directed at himself. If only he had come sooner and didn't delay. She would've been rescued sooner.

"Damn it..." Was the the words that could escape from the sage's lips as he looked into the now dark and cloudy sky. Soon people will be able to pay respects to the "body" of Reika. Rain drops were coming down and hitting his eyes as he remembered him first hearing about the death of Reika.

(Flashback)

"What hell do you mean?! How could this have happened?!" Sanosuke roared at the chancellors of the Kumogakure shinobi council. They were both elderly twins that looked to be in their early 60s. Both men wore something that looked to be fine cloaks to distinguish the two. Chancellor Co had on an azure colored cloak, while his twin brother Chancellor Bo had on a ruby colored cloak. But both of them looked taken back at Sanosuke's angry shouts. Normaly, Bo would have shouted back at the young sage but he knew fully well that Sanosuke was only venting out his own frustrations at them. Sanosuke had just returned to Kumogakure, his home, to be immediately called to the administraion building. At first Sanosuke believed that it was Reika wanting to know how the war in Kirigakure played out. He also guessed that she probably wanted to know exactly how much of a role Kumo was in the war. Hell if things went well, Sanosuke might have even asked her to dinner so they can talk about it. When he got into the office, he saw only the somber and sorrowful faces of the two chancellors. That's when they filled Sanosuke in. It made Sanosuke irritated. Hot bubbling fury unleashed itself in Sanosuke as he punched a hole in the wall the size of medium size wrecking ball.

"Sanosuke-sama I know you are furious and frustrated but..."

"We must do something about the people. They will surely ask questions about the Raikage."

Sanosuke didn't say anything as the chancellors were talking in turns once more. He had faced the two before when he had to ask to leave Kumogakure 5 years ago for sometime to begin his training. For 5 days, he had to hear the two of them talk in turns. It was enough to drive anyone mad. But this time, Sanosuke didn't say anything. He let them talk as he looked down at the ground. His hair covering up his face so that the elders couldn't make out his facial expressions. At this point, Sanosuke was too frustrated with himself he didn't even care what they had to say. He wouldn't object, he wouldn't fuss. For the first time, Sanosuke was just to angry to question. Without much confidence, the two continued.

"We suppose that we hold a funeral for the former Raikage. And make a false corpse using the hair that was left over for DNA."

"That way the villagers wouldn't even know that the killer also took her body away as well."

Again Snaosuke didn't say anything. All he could think of was why couldn't he have been there sooner. She didn't deserve this at all...

The sounds of the orchestra could be heard as they shuffled in their stands preparing to play. Soon the air would be filled with their music as more and more people will come in and fill the space in. They were a family morning over the death of their mother. Sanouske knew that there will people weeping out for their dead mother. To the other side of the platform he was standing on was a table that contained a decorative box of tiny white bulbs that were about the size a baseball. The bulbs will take only a miniscule amount of the person that holds it. It's tradition that when paying respects to a dead Raikage, one must take the bulb and place it around the casket. Of course some people might not be able to take the strain of being that close to their dead mother, but Sanosuke had to be strong. He had to be there for them at the very least...

Kaekio

D-rank
Today was the day... the day of the funeral, is was a dark day with little light to be shown at all. "it's still early... who knows maybe the sky will clear up" Kaekio said halfheartedly, not quiet sure if a droopy day or a sunny day would benefit the situation any more. did anyone really care about the weather in a time like this? Kaekio couldn't be sure, this whole ordeal was saddening anyways. Kaekio was feeling quiet glum about it herself, even though she had never met the raikage, it still made her saddened that her leader was no longer around, and she couldn't help but feel sad when almost everyone in the streets and in there homes looked so depressed... which they had every right to be. Kaekio couldn't be sure of her emotions, she wasn't quite sure if she should be sad with everyone else, or be emotionless and strong because she had never met the raikage. on one end it could be considered disrepectful to the entire village if she simply held her emotions in check when there raikage had died, but on the other hand what about the other people who had known her and been close to her? they truly had a right to feel sad and she didn't because she had no physical connection with her... Either way it was time for her to get ready for the ceremony. Kaekio got out of her bed and walked over to her closest and dress in an all black formal shirt, pants, shoes, and did her blue hair up the way she had always done it. she left her cloak in her closest figuring it'd be best not to bring anything else. hell she even left her sword in its sheathe sitting on the very top of her dresser. Kaekio walked slowly towards the door, untieing her headband and leaving it on the little lamp stand next to the door and then grabbed the flowers next to it and walked out of her house. locking it behind her...

The scene on the street was pure sorrow... it had begun to rain a little bit and the small amount of people still in the streets were dressed the same way as her, except they all looked down with tear stained faces. all walking in the same direction, to the ceremony. kaekio walked slowly along the street not bothering trying to talk to anyone or even adjust her now wet hair. She made it to the funeral not long after to see the massive crowd that had gathered for their raikage. The orcastra playing such lovely music as the rain pattered down agianst the backs of the people standing in such silence awaiting their turn to pay respects to the village. everyone here seemed to care about her and love her so much that it made Kaekio begin to tear up and fill with all different kinds of emotions. many people were crying, in fact almost everywhere she looked someone was in tears. Kaekio finnally looked above the crowd to see a single man standing on a raised platform next to a casket, which kaekio assumed held the raikage. the man was dressed in expensive attire with braided hair and a small fairy floated slightly above his shoulder. He was looking down apparently dealing with many emotions. he most have been close to her, in some respect or another. Kaekio wanted nothing more than to help all of these people with the paint hey were going through, but she didn't know how, and she couldn't really even begin to understand what she ment to each and every person here, because she person here had their own stories and their own bond with the Raikage. a bond that they would probably cherish forever in their minds. Kaekio turned her attention to the crowds around her as more and more people continued to file into the area silently. they all seemed so sad, so lost, not sure of what was to come or what was going to become of them. they all seemed hurt and they all looked like the world had come to a standstill or this specific event. actually it seemed as if the whole world had come to a standstill or this. the gentle beeze, rain, clouds, and all of the people all seemed to have put everything on pause to pay there respects to this wonderful shinobi, and leader. actually she was more of a leader to these people, she was more like family, more like a mother.

(Flash Back)

"Reika's dead....", Zetsume said while a glass of tea slipped from his hand which shattered on the ground. He had been drinking at a local pub when he had heard the news from some civilians talking about it in the corner. A woman was crying as her lover was comforting her. At first Zetsume did not believe them, how could he? The mere thought of the Raikage dying before him was terrifying. How could he still breath, a simple weak jounin, while the Raikage was massacred right under his nose? Slamming his first onto the table and standing up, he could not help but to feel guilty for not being there. It was his duty to protect the people around him. That was the sole purpose of a shinobi. A knot in his stomach grew as people around stared at him for slamming his fist on the table, the people did not say a single word however. Zetsume slightly bowed before paying for the broken glass, his drink, and the waitresses tip. He had to get ready for the funeral. He had many questions that needed to be answered. Even if he might have to force it out of people he had sworn to protect.

(Ending Flashback)

The day had arrived, the day that he would see his kage off to the other world. Zetsume was never really close to the Kage, nor did they even ever speak. Most of the time it would be a genin that would bring his missions instead of the Raikage ordering them. Though all he could think about was how short their ninja life really is. If even his Raikage could die so simply and discretely what are the odds of him living much longer? It was something that bothered him, something that fueled his rage to become stronger. His duty was to his Raikage, and he even let her down. What kind of shinobi allows this? Why were her bodyguards not there? Why was no one alerted? These thoughts rang through his head as he was getting dressed in a black suit. It was the only suit he owned which he had only used twice before. Once at his ex fiance's funeral, and the other time for his parents. Seemed to fit that this was his funeral suit as it had only been used for that. After getting ready, he called Repede and the two left his small house near the edge of the village.

During his walk through the village, he could feel the sadness. It was damn near overwhelming. Even the sky seemed to cry on this day. People were crying about their dead Raikage, though none of them were even thinking about hunting down the culprit. Zetsume was however thinking nothing but exacting revenge. The stage of sadness passed him quicker than others as only revenge coursed through his veins. It was something he was used to, as he had experienced it many times before. When he arrived at the wake, he could see everyone standing around most of which were crying. Zetsume wished he could cry like them to feel better, though that was just a childish lie. Crying makes nothing change, and fixes nothing. Revenge however, fixes everything. It made the world balanced, it was the one true justice. Zetsume knew that all of this would change him, but did not know if it was for the better or worse. His need for justice could be his very downfall. All he wanted was to see her murderer strung up and mutilated until the person committed suicide through biting their tongue off, and even then Zetsume would try to keep them alive for the pain. He wanted the murderer to feel his villages pain, all of their pain. Holding his bulb in his hand, he walked over towards the casket which held his former Raikage's body. Placing the flower onto her casket, Zetsume bowed his head to say a small prayer for her, though to him it was more of a promise.

I had sworn to protect you my kage, though I have failed. Many doubts run through my mind as to why I could not save you. I wish we were close, maybe just maybe I could have spared your life by giving up my own. I know these words are petty because it does not change the facts that you are dead. Though one thing I can promise, is that I will hunt down whoever killed you. I will make them pay, and I will not dwell in the past while our future could be at stake. Rest well my Kage, I will exact justice if it is the last thing I do on this earth. Goodbye... My Kage

After the prayer Zetsume looked around, he noticed Sanosuke standing off looking perplexed by it all just as he was. Zetsume had heard rumors shortly after Reika's death that Sanosuke would be anointed as the new Kage. Zetsume had no problem with this as he had witnessed the shinobi's strength first had. It was something to be proud of that someone of his caliber was chosen. Though he could not help but to look at him with disdain as he did with everyone around him. They all cried and sobbed for her death but how many regret not being closer to her, not being able to protect her as they could have. These thoughts were troublesome.Zetsume also thought about whether Sanosuke would measure up to all that Zetsume thought he could? Could this shinobi unify a broken village during its time of turmoil? Zetsume would not know. All he knew was that the whole scene was becoming to much for him. As more people began to sob and cry before him. He payed his respect to his former Raikage. He could not help but to think about staying but he could not. There was just to much sadness going on that he just could not handle it. Without saying a word to anyone, Zetsume left the funeral with nothing but blood lust revenge on his mind.

Azaki walked down the streets. The air felt tense, suffocating even. Today was the Kyudaime Raikage, Reika Misora’s funeral. Azaki had never known the kage, heck she didn’t even know what she looked like or seen her in person. Yet….Azaki’s heart couldn’t help but feel heavy. She had heard many good things about the woman and admired her. Reika was an amazedly strong, wonderful woman; that much she knew. It saddens her to see someone like her leave this realm to join the afterlife. Azaki had not heard the details concerning her death, though she wouldn’t ask as she felt it was not in her place to.

She was dressed in traditional mourning clothes, a silky black kimono with a misty cloud printed obi. She wore white thigh high socks underneath and a pair of wooden sandals; she even took off her eye patch to show the scar that ran over her left eye. In one of her hands were several petals from different flowers inside a small orb that was filled with a gel substance. It was about the size of a golf ball. Each flower petal had a meaning: a pink carnation, to say she will never be forgotten; a cyclamen, to say goodbye; a lavender heather, to show her admiration; a cattleya orchid, to represent charm; a white poppy, to send her condolences; and finally, a dark crimson rose for mourning.

As she arrived at the wake, she saw countless people, shinobi and civilian alike crying for their fallen kage. Just by looking at them, she felt a tug on her lips, but forced it down though her eyes said enough for how she felt. She walked to a table, on it was a decorative box filled with tiny white light bulbs. She took one of the baseball sized light bulbs in her other hand and waited a bit. Just then she felt a tiny drop of water…then another….then another until it was fully raining. She was getting soaked and her wet hair clung to her but she didn’t care. She walked up to the casket and bowed deeply before placing the light bulb and the small flower petal filled orb besides the casket (though she knew the little orb would go unnoticed but she wanted that). After that, she didn’t linger no more and left in silence.

~Flash Back~

"W-W-What the Raikages is dead!!!" Ryoku fell back in his seat hitting the floor of the meeting room where a fellow kumogakure shinobi had just told a few genin including himself about the Raikages untimely demise. He returned to his feet teary eyed and grabbed the shinobi by the shirt "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE RAIKAGES IS DEAD, THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE REIKA-SAMA IS THE BEST SHINOBI IN THE VILLAGE THERE IS NO WAY SHE WOULD BE KILLED" The man posted no resistance but put a hand on Ryoku's head "I am sorry but what i say is the truth". Ryoku pushed back and made the man hit the floor "I'll go find out myself"

~End Flashback~

Ryoku walked down the crowded streets of kumogakure wearing all black. The shinobi had been right Reika-Sama had been killed. What was the village going to do without her? Would they even survive? Ryoku was more scared now then he had ever been. He had heard that Sanosuke-san would be the next Raikage which made him feel a little better. Sano was definitely qualified for the position but it did not stop the feeling of emptiness that had begun to settle in his heart. The only thing that made him stand out among the crowd of mourners was his purple face paint.

When he finally arrived at the funeral site he saw Reika in her casket and broke down crying. He knew she was dead but just seeing the body kind of brought everything home for him. He thought back to all the times the village had been saved by her. She was definitely the best shinobi in the village. But if she was able to be killed it only meant that we as a village had to get stronger. Ryoku got a little closer and said "Thank you reika-sama, your village will continue to soar within the clouds reaching new heights forever" He approached the casket and placed a bulb near the the head of it. He saw that the raikage seemed peaceful almost in a trance like she would wake up at any time....But ryoku knew better then this. He bowed one last time and stepped away. He was going to get stronger. but first there was Reika's funeral then training.

"Reika's dead....The Reikage is dead" was the words he heard from a sobbing chuunin, it was odd, this feeling that was inside him, he hadnt known the Reikage that well, he had taken missions from her and given her her respects whenever she walked by,but still he felt a hole, deep inside him he knew that she was gone, though death was normal in this ninja world, it didnt make it feel any better, though he did not let a tear from his eye, he was a ninja, and would act as one, he nodded to the crying chuunin as he was also told that the funeral was the next day...he looked down at his suit, charcoal and blood red, they were almost normal mourning clothes, he had to get some proper mourning clothes...he walked out of the shop, his drink left untouched... ~End of Flashback

He saw the other ninja in their black clothes standing around the body, well it wasnt even a real body, it was a fake one, they must have not been able to find it, or it was destroyed beyond repair, he stuck out like a sore thumb, to most people whilst in mourning they wore black, to Yuumi black was a color of joy, so he wore none of it, instead he wore his own mourning color, Yellow, he wore a suit the color of banana, with a tie just a bit darker, his shirt was Sunglow, pure silk, and his pants and shoes were both Jonquil, the shoes being a soft suede and the pants also being silken, in honesty he hated yellow, but he was wearing it for her...

He approched the casket and looked down at the fake body they had used for her, she was beautiful all right, whomever made it did it perfectly, her hair and her face looked as if she were only sleeping, Yuumi fought inside himself to not cry, he was stronger then that, no matter his feelings towards the Reikage...Reika...in his hand he held a Jonquil Flower, it being the color of its name he placed it in the hand of this fake body and bowed, going back amongst the other and standing still and just looking at her...for how long he could not tell...he sure was going to miss her...

As the orchestra played, Sanosuke looked down from his platform to all of those whom were coming to Reika's funeral. He saw many shinobi he had seen before at the administration building, some he personally worked with like Zetsume in the past, and some shinobi that he hasn't met yet. How he could tell they were all shinobi and not a civilian was because of how they carried themselves. Some of them didn't want to cry and their face's strain was a big give away that they were shinobi. It was an universal rule that shinobi do not cry, nor express their emotions publicly. All the other shinobi must feel the same feeling of frustration and anger at themselves for not being there in order to protect their Raikage. That could easily been seen from where he stood. All shinobi have a sort of protection over their Raikage. Even though Reika was supposed to care for her villagers and shinobi from danger, even protect them from harm. That doesn't mean that her own people don't have that same duty of protection over their Raikage. That's what made them family, it was the fact that they can all protect each other. Race, sex, wealth, position. These things didn't matter to a shinobi. If you were a shinobi, then you were already part of the family.

Looking down from his platform, Sanosuke saw there was a boy that was oddly enough wearing a yellow suit. All the people at the funeral were wearing the traditional black, but this idiot decided to wear such a bright and unorthodox color for the occasion. It annoyed him to the point where there was a vein popping out of his forehead. The brat was even looking at the fake body so intently. There was no way he could know that the body was fake. Only him and the two chancellors of the shinobi council knew the body was fake. But still at least the brat laid down a flower for Reika. Even though Sanosuke wanted to break the boy in two, Sanosuke knew that he couldn't do such a thing yet. There was a boy who had broken down right near the casket of the Raikage. Walking down from his platform with Navi at his side, Sanosuke put his arm around the boy and held him close to him as the boy would allow him. His sleeves got wet as the boy would cry on his arm with wet tears. Sanosuke had user his skills in suiton to filter the water out of his clothes, but he did no such thing to the boy's tears. "You must be strong. We're shinobi. We can't cry now, everyone is looking at us for guidance." Sanosuke reminded the boy whom was weeping for Reika. This boy cry was what Sanosuke felt like doing at the moment. He didn't want any of this responsibility on his shoulders, but somebody had to be there for his people. When the boy got up and left, Sanosuke looked to see whom else needed support. Everyone else were putting the bulbs around the casket as per tradition.

There was a girl with dark blue hair that seemed to be watching everyone with a look of distance. She looked like such an outsider that it was a bit unbearable at times. Even though it was almost time for Sanosuke's address to the people, he needed to see what was in the head of the kunoichi. Walking over to her, Sanosuke folded his hands in the sleeves of the kimono. Just as he got to her, Sanosuke noticed that the rain had gotten a slight bit more intense. Just fluxing his chakra outwards so it was making a skin of water chakra around his body, Sanosuke was protected from the rain that was coming down on his body. "Even the heavens weep for her. You're doing a remarkable job holding yourself back emotionally. Not many kunoichi can do what you can do without breaking down." Sanosuke had said the the kunoichi wearing all black. She had the looks of someone that hadn't seen battle, so she was most likely a genin. She had no idea what it was like to have a comrade killed in battle. It would be Sanosuke's job to ensure that she won't go through the torment.

As he went up he saw the man on the podium look at him in what he imagined was some sort of anger, Yuumi wonered why the man looked so angry, he was in mourning, he was even wearing all yellow, his saddest color, as he left the body of the reikage he deactivated his Chi no Mei, it was how he knew the body was fake, his eyes saw blood, and in this body he saw none, he saw no blood nor muscles nor organs...What had happened to the Reikage, even though this was a funeral he had to know, so after he stood back in line, he waited, he was going to get to the bottom of this, though right know wasnt appropriate, So he just stood with his head lowered thinking on the few moments he had spent with the reikage, though he raised his head to the man up front and nodded to him solemnly, the same man who was given him an angry look, he knew his name, Sanosuke, he saw sadness in the eyes of this man as he walked down an consoled a crying ninja, His chi no mei saw all of the hearts of the ninjas around him beating fast, and knew that there was a shared universal sadness around, and there he stood, waiting for his chance to ask why the body of Reika wasnt there, he just had to know...

More and More people began to come into the funeral, Kaekio couldn't even believe we had this many people in the village, but none the less they were here to pay their respects to the raikage. Kaekio noticed a box of orbs that everyone was grabbing out of and placing them by the casket. she made a mental note to herself that when she did actually go up to pay her respects that she should do that as well. As she watched more and more people paying there respects she noticed a man in a bright yellow suit instead of a black one. Kaekio was confused by this, and she noticed the other man on the stage was getting a little bit angry because of the man in the yellow suit, however neither one said a word to each other, whew! Kaekio was scared that there might have been a fight. The an that had been up on stage then walked over and talked to a boy who had broken down crying and she guessed that he tired to cheer him up a little, because the boy then got up and payed his respects. Then the same man that had tried to cheer up the boy was now walking through the crowd. huh that's a strange thing to do if your running the funeral... kaekio thought to herself, then she realized that he was headed right for her! a million thoughts raced through kaekio's head as to why he was comming over to her of all people. was it because she wasn't crying? had she dressed wrong? she couldn't tell. finally the man reached her and said "Even the heavens weep for her. You're doing a remarkable job holding yourself back emotionally. Not many kunoichi can do what you can do without breaking down." well if thats what he thought... "sir, its not that" kaekio said not quite sure if she should explain the rrest of her predicament, but she did anyways. "it's just i don't feel right crying when i never met the raikage, and to me it just doesn't feel respectful when there are so many other, like yourself, who were very close to her and loved her a lot more than i can imagine. so you see that's why i'm not crying" Kaekio said very respectfully not wanting to offend him in anyway possible, she felt sad for him. he had just lost a close friend, a possibly something more, she didn't know for sure, but it had to be hard for him.

The ANBU agent, a man who served and obeyed the deceased Raikage's every order, a man who respected her strength and courage. She didn't just hold the title of Kage, she embodied the true definition of a Kage. Kenji stood solemnly in all black. He wasn't one for sentiment or the display of a wide range of emotion. Despite that and his aversion to funeral and anything that was gloomy, he showed up anyway to pay his respects to a person who had made in his opinion the ultimate and most foolish sacrifice. Even though the cause of her death is certain, but to whose hands are responsible is a different issue. Kenji was confident that the new Kage would do everything possible to bring the culprit to justice, he was also confident that he would be included in it.

The girl's words regarding her courage was rather strange indeed. It had a hint of power into them, respect for Sanosuke and also the other people whom were trying to cope with the lost of their Kage, and finally sincerity. This girl was rather good at dealing with people, she chose to deal with the issue of talking to someone whom was grieve striken with tact. Sanosuke couldn't help but smile softly, yet sadly. Even a girl like her had more strength than Sanosuke did. When the sage approached the girl, she looked as though she was gonna pass out from how frantic her eyes were darting back and forth in case Sanosuke was really working towards someone else that was nearby her. What she had to say was rather interesting indeed, she would make a fantastic shinobi. Based on how well she spoke, Sanosuke could tell that she was skilled with people and not much with the art of war and shinobi. "It's not everyday I get to hear advice from the new generation." Sanosuke said simply as he realized that many of the people that had laid a flower near the casket of Reika were waiting for Sanosuke to deliver an address to the people. He knew this because of the looks he was getting from Bo and Co. If they weren't at a funeral, Co would definitely be roaring at the sage to get his ass towards the platform to deliver the speech.

Nodding at the solemly, Sanosuke simply nodded at the girl and walked up to the platform where he would be facing everyone. As soon as he got to the platform and turned to face everyone, the mass looked at Sanosuke back. They all knew whom he was. Sanosuke Flynt. He was the senjutsu master of the wasp style, and one of the strongest shinobi in the village. Surely he would give words of comfort for the people of Kumogakure. In all actually, he had no idea what he was going to say. The weight of an entire village was on his shoulders, Sanosuke felt as though he was getting queasy under the pressure. He just wanted to go back to the days where he was just a regular shinobi. An idea popped into his mind where he would just run away from all of this responsibility. If he did that, then this village that had been there for him since he was young without anywhere to go. Navi floated closer towards her partner so that he could notice. When he looked at her, Sanosuke knew that she wanted nothing more for Sanosuke to get a grip on himself. Smiling at her, Sanosuke turned his attention towards the audience and prepared for the speech he would have to give out to the people that had gathered for the funeral.

Looking upwards, Sanosuke took a deep breath inwards and exhaled it before turning his attention back to the crowd. Secretly Sanosuke hoped that Reika would give him the strength needed to address the people of  Kumogakure. "Reika Misora was many things. She was a mother, a sister, a friend, a comrade, a lover, an aunt, a godmother, a coworker, and most importantly a leader." Sanosuke listed to the people. The beginning part of his speech was directed at the Misora clan since a majority of them was what his speech were regarding towards. Silver eyes that belonged to him alone glanced over the crowd as he made sure that everyone was included in his speech. "She was a remarkable kunoichi that I knew since my academy years. We weren't in the same class, but when I didn't have any friends at first she was my first. I wanted nothing more than to pay her back for being the first person to be my friend. I got to see her first hand touch the hearts of many of you."

"We're the people of the village hidden in the clouds, but as a village we're a large bundle of clouds. When we cry, we rain together. When we vanish, we vanish together. When we're furious, we strike lightning together. All or none. That is what we live by. Reika wanted us to stand together as a village, and not be fragmented and crippled by her passing. That's the last thing she would want to happen to us, Reika would want us to stand together as a village. It's okay for us to grieve, but let's grieve together. We're one nation, and we need to stay as one. If not for our future, but for our mother." Looking down on the grave, Sanosuke let out a lone sigh at the fake body that was in the casket. This fake body was just another reminder that they weren't even competent enough to at the very least hold onto the actual body of the Raikage. Taking a bulb for himself, Sanosuke went towards the casket and laid it on the forehead of the Raikage. Putting his hands to pray, Sanosuke closed his eyes. Slowly one by one, a majority of the mass would follow his lead. While their eyes are closed, the bulbs of light will glow brightly with chakra and slowly sink the casket into the ground. Once it was about six feet under the ground, the lid of the basket would close. That was the purpose of the bulbs. As soon as the Raikage would lay the final bulb, it would signal the other bulbs that holds the chakra of the entire village to allow the casket to be closed and seal forever.

Kaekio watched as the man turned away and head back towards the stage, after he proclaimed that she had given him advice... SHIT! she hadn't payed her respects yet, Kaekio speed walked up there quickly passing the man running the ceremony and grabbed a small ball of light, then she placed it in the casket near all of the others, then whispered the words "you will be forever and loved and missed in all of our hearts" then she walked back off of the stage and back into the crowd. she then watched the he said his words and then payed his respects and the final respects... kaekio bowed her head gracefully as the casket was lowered into the ground, then she would simply wait until the man was done... she wanted to meet him for  herself and find out his story
