Hyuuga compound: Mid morning...

The compound was alive today with the traffic of many adult's running around due to the call of war that the village was buzzing over. The event's transpiring in the mist land's where keeping everyone busy. War amongst ninja's seemed to have such an effect, for combat was all they truly lived for.

Tck...tck...tck...tck...tup!

A young figure was currently swaggering his way up to the head directory office of the compound where it appeared he had been summoned by the director's of Clan affair's. Usually it was a call to go on certain selected missions or to handle a chore or such for the clan. The building was big, and had a dominating air about it. The white walls and earth tones of the elegant structure blend in with the rest of the compound. It appeared heavenly...almost as heavenly as the jounin who opened the door before Kizai could place a hand to it.

"Hmmm...Mister Kizai it seem's you have chosen to lethargically take your time in advancing to your summons again! When will you learn to be more prompt like the host of us!"

Kizai placed his hands to his hips and shook the bang's form his forehead. The look on his face fit the verbatim his superior had just used. However Kizai never cared for the chastisement's. His body was dressed in a black robe only while sandal's where on his feet. General attire for a day off the village work schedule. "Alright then...I'll try to be more lively next time...But if you ask me, I thought those who tread the heavenly can afford to take their time..."

The acidic comment burned into the pride of the jounin but instead of a sharp rebuttal he merely shoved into a pocket of his own robe and seized a paper.

"You are to go and be useful today, so...try working on your promptness later...for now we have designated one who can teach you a few thing's and since he's within your peer group, we figure it may play a part in strengthening the unit's of tomorrows elder generations...Besides we can't have you loitering around this village getting into juvenility...go on then..."

Kizai snapped his hand out as the paper was tossed his way and then looked at it. Within the fold's was written an address to a: Hyuuga, Rinshi..."Right...I'm being assigned order's to make friends and have play dates..."

And with that Kizai made his way off through the compound and off towards the home stead. His face looking as lazy as ever, and his walk moving as slower then a retired nin-dog...

It was one of those days, you know the kind of day where you anticipate for anything to happen. Well to Rinshi it was one of those days, the sun was bright as it beamed through the shades of his bedroom. Rinshi sat on the floor of his room, wearing his silk lavender pajama bottoms, practicing his seal inscriptions on parchment paper. Rinshi hadn't been called on missions lately, mainly due to the mission he and Chisaki failed in Kirigakure. Which really freed up most of his schedule. After that Rinshi up and left, though he did enjoy working alongside her. Chisaki was a beautiful woman, and her abilities as a Shinobi were no joke. Rinshi blushes whenever the woman came across his mind, he wished he could see her again. Though, she would most likely be preoccupied as would he. Rinshi thought about what might his mother think of her, would she approve?

With alot of free time on his hands, Rinshi trained and studied more. As well as preparing for the upcoming initiation ceremony as the Head of the Clan. Rinshi was the prime candidate: the child of the two most exceptional members of the clan, gifted intelligence, terrific combat skills. The elders had no choice but to select him, and by coincidence the present clan leader was his fathers best friend. Rinshi often thought that his parents would be proud of him.

Chime...Chime...Chime...

Rinshi's focus snapped to the sound of his doorbell. Ceasing his seal inscriptions, he gathered the piles of parchment paper and placed them in his nightstand drawer.

Chime...Chime...Chime...

Honestly who could that be...I wasn't expecting any visitors... Rinshi walked barefoot down the hallway, towards the steps. Making his way down the steps slowly while his headband hanging from around his neck moved from side to side.

Chime...Chime...Chime...

"Okay! Geez enough with the doorbell..." Rinshi opened the front door to find an unfamiliar figure looking at him...with a little smug look on his face.

The figure happened to be a boy with spiky hair and silver tips, part of his hair in front hung in front of his face. Rinshi could tell this boy wasn't to happy to be standing before him, and Rinshi was slightly puzzled why he was here. It would be rude to stand there and not say anything to the kid. Rinshi with his charming smile released his door knob, and asked. "Is there something I can help you with? Well that was a pretty dumb question, but at this point it was to late maybe there was something he could help the kid with.

Hyuuga compound: Hyuuga, Rinshi's house...

The path to the home was a short yet drawn travel; due to Kizai's bad hasting. As he approached he would find the doorway to be as with the rest of the compound in tone's if not but slightly different. It occurred to Kizai that the crowding citizen's here where of the main branch, judgiong by their better garb's and their downcast glancing at Kizai. One of the same clan, yet it was always best to let each know his place.

What...ever... Kizai thought inwards as he watched a elder main branch member pass behind him giving a prolonged upturned glance at Kizai's form. Already this day was looking to be like the rest: a Prime example of motivation to go run trouble through the rest of the village...ugh! Yet, A slender hand rose to press thrice diligently at the doorbell to the home here. The other hand checked the address written once more before crumpling the paper up into a fist and shoving it into his pocket. There seemed to be no answer for a moment and Kizai merely frowned in irritation thinking perhaps some cheap peep-hole trick was being played whilst he stood in the open air.

His hand struck the bell thrice more again, and then shoved into the other pocket, giving him the appearance of a snobby punk impatiently looking for an excuse to skip out on duties. Look's like no one's home...thank god, and good ridda-

Hyuuga, Rinshi wrote:"Okay! Geez enough with the doorbell..." Rinshi opened the front door to find an unfamiliar figure looking at him...with a little smug look on his face.

Dammit! Kizai let his mouth part as his teeth sucked in a bit of air, his frown deepening as he began to grumble, but then fixed his face as he realized respect was a basic ettiquette towards other clan's men especially at their doorstep.

Hyuuga, Rinshi wrote: "Is there something I can help you with?

"Uh...*ahem* My name is Hyuuga, Kizai...I have been designated to your house for...training and friend making...Which, I guess makes sense er whatever...I have no friends, and little training...well...I dunno, I got enough but...yeah...I guess I need more..."
Kizai managed after the strange pause in the zephyr's of awkwardness. He took the crumpled statement from his pocket and held it towards the main house member; his eye's without contacts in today where watching the new face in front of him. A brow lifted in wonder at what would come next...

Within the paper would be the detail's listed for this meeting. Though Kizai had little to give in his own word's, the paper would explain exactly why Kizai was here and for what, though Kizai himself had barely looked it over save for the address. A few other ninja where roaming about in the passages behind, casting calm glances about the two, as the morning sun seemed to glare young, yet to signal that the new day had begun.

Kizai straightened up, apparently showing Rinshi some form of respect. Judging by his body language, he seemed uncomfortable with the enviornment he was in. This kid was sent here for training and friend making. Training I get but...friend making The boy Kizai held out a note addressed to Rinshi, he noticed the seal stamped on it meant it was from the Office of Clan Affairs. Rinshi always wondered why there was any need for that building. Rinshi took the note from the boy, and stepped inside out of doorway. Letting the boy into his home, he opened the letter and spoke to Kizai. "You just wait here while I go change. Make yourself at home." Rinshi proceeded up the stairs to his bedroom, while reading the letter.

[b]Dear Rinshi,

Now if I know you, you are wondering why some strange kid is in your home. The boys name is Kizai and you are now his mentor. Recently he has been labelled as a juvenile diliquent, and his older siblings have given up trying to change him. So we all decided to make you his mentor, a type of guardian if you will. Kizai is a very skilled ninja, but is a little ill mannered as you may have noticed. We believe you can help this child for the better, if you can do this, imagine what you can do for the clan. I leave him in your care Rinshi.

Clan Elder,
Takimei[/b

I never really thought of my self as a mentor... Rinshi removed his lavender pajama bottoms and dressed himself in his combat attire. A black long sleeve compression shirt, navy blue cargo pants tucked into his black combat boots, and black fingerless gloves with metal plating on the forehand and knuckles. Rinshi put on his black overcoat that he personalized himself. The coat was hemmed at the waist and slightly flared out around the ends. There was a large metal plate covering his whole left shoulder and pectoral, engraved on the plate was the Hidden Leaf insignia. The plate stayed in place from a sash that ran down his torso diagonally, and around his waist as a belt. Rinshi untied his headband from around his neck as there was no need form. Best not keep him waiting much longer...

Exiting his room, down the stairs into the living area. Kizai was sitting on the couch, tapping his foot impatiently, and maybe a little agitated. This kid should liven up more... Rinshi thought he should maybe relate to him, but at the sametime how does a 21 year old relate to a teenager. Rinshi would just have to wing it he presumed. "Well if you are ready to leave lets get a move on, we have work to do."

Hyuuga, Rinshi wrote: "You just wait here while I go change. Make yourself at home." Rinshi proceeded up the stairs to his bedroom, while reading the letter.

Kizai nodded at the mentor's words after coming within his domain. Immeidatley Kizai noticed the smell...smelled like house a bit of something else aromitizing the ether as well. A shrug was all this summed up to though, while Kizai studied the confines of the room in idle waiting. His mind wandered over what training this Rinshi could provide...their where manuals in the libraries available for certain ages and ranks upon careful discretion of the seniority...but then again Kizai recalled that the office of clan affair's was looking to find a place for Kizai...not exactly trying to give him straight training in techniques.

"Yep...this is certainly...the life...*sigh*" Kizai uttered while taking a few wandering steps around the room, casually glancing here and there at certain thing's for no real reason or interest. His attention became alert though as he realized the sound of another footstep's where coming down from above. He surveyed rather quickly with his keen eye that his mentor Rinshi was dressed in cool tones. Blue seemed to be a cascading feature of his. Backed by the all mighty black.

Hyuuga, Rinshi wrote:"Well if you are ready to leave lets get a move on, we have work to do."

Kizai shrugged lamely while shoving his hand's into his pockets. "Yeah...I guess? What did you happen to have in mind?...uh...Rinshi right?"

OOC: Sorry I Kinda Half Assed This Post :P

Gripping the door handle, he turned his head to Kizai and said aloud. "Don't take this the wrong way but, if I'm training you...I will escort you to the gates of hell and the brink of death. This is no game so I hope you are ready, apparently the clan elders have made me your mentor, your gaurdian, and if you think of it I'm also your friend." It was hard for Rinshi to digest his own words, they tasted bitter like his late Sensei Tatsumaru. Rinshi never was the harsh type, more than often he was mellow sometimes with the ocasional outburst. This was a huge personality change for him. Rinshi walked out of his home, a way to tell Kizai to follow if he was wise. I have the perfect idea...

Rinshi exited the compound, looking back every so often to see if Kizai had not bailed. Rinshi increased his pace, hoping to get Kizai off guard. Rinshi stopped and removed 3 kunai from his jackets inner pocket. Holding the between his knuckles he, quickly spun around and hurled them at Kizai. Rinshi had no time to wait for Kizai to react, he ran ahead making a left turn down a dead end alley that the suns rays did not reach. Rinshi waited for Kizai, as he crouched down waiting to strike him as he walked into the opening of the alley.

Kizai listened to his new mentor's word's and found them...strange. He never really thought much about what today's little venture would bring but suddenly Kizai felt that this was something destined. The type of beginning to something that was lasting and life changing...not one of those temporary stints he could lament and dramatize later in his punkish musing's. "Eh...yeah, okay heh...the gates of hell, no problem?"

Throwing Kizai off his guard? It worked. As Rinshi began to take stride, Kizai made an estranged and cautious glance back through the apartment before he followed. First blunder? Indeed; as soon as he turned to lock the door of his mentor's house which was absently something Kizai would never have stopped to do, he heard the tell-tale distancing of rushed foot steps.

"Eh...uh whoa wait up!" Kizai said trying to shut the door and jog/walk to catch up. A frown began to crease his brow, but his eye's revealed wonder at what Master Rinshi was putting Kizai up to. Almost as if Rinshi had a plan waiting and decided the next little punk he came across he was going to set him up with it. If Kizai where a bit more experienced he might have chosen to set his mind on other thought's and pre-cautions, but his youthful knowledge of training had him leading behind a wolf like a sheep to the slaughter.

A few corner's rounded and every time Rinshi hit one, Kizai would come up to find Rinshi had quickened his pace to increase distance. Dammit...wait up dude! Kizai would think while scoffing at this guy's unsual pattern of walking. Who the hell just takes off like this...if he doesn't wanna deal with me he could at least send me off formally so I can get the hell on myself man...shit, if i lose him without a written consent I'll eat shit for a week...wha-WHOA! Kizai thought irritantly before he saw Rinshi suddenly bolt through the compound entrance and hit a cut...not before whirling around and flinging three glittering Kunai right at the genin's front...IN BROAD FRICKEN DAYLIGHT ON AN OPEN ROAD IN THE MIDST OF THE COMPOUND GATE !!!

"The hell-" Kizai alarmed as his keen eye's watched the incoming darts. Immediately his mind snapped into instinct. He dropped low to a crouch and arched his back, placing a hand to the ground for support, and reaching his other hand up to pluck one of the Kunai from the air as it passed right over him. His face was alarmed as he watched the other's blitz over head. Rolling over on the ground and rising to cast a sharp glance behind him, Kizai would turn forth with a dark leer and begin racing after his master.

"Alright...made a friend, almost got shanked...right; my turn!!!" Kizai said confident and ready to return the offensive to his master who prolly had left off thinking he tagged his pupil and left him crying in the road. But Kizai knew he was made of tougher stuff and more skill then a little bit. He was going to catch master Rinshi on the rebound and prove cheap shit like that was not enough to dust the silver haired genin off!

Coming up to the corner, Kizai tossed the Kunai in hand for a flip, righting the handle in reverse and seizing the Kunai by it's point like a throwing knife. As he came round the bend, he arched his right arm back, preparing to throw it at what he assumed should be the somewhat distant and back turned silhouette of his master, prolly 10 to 20 meter's down the road...

Rinshi would make a decent Hyuga out of this boy even if it killed the kid. Rinshi saw much of himself in Kizai, maybe it was his white hair and non-enthusiastic attitude. The kid had potential, no doubt about it. The only problen was getting him to realize this potential. They would leave the village to train for one year, to Kizai it would seem pointless. But in fact their bond and trust would both make them stronger. Rinshi remembered the time he and his father went away for a year. It made him stronger no doubt as well as making him realize how much his father cherished him and his mother more than all the gold in the world.

Waiting for Kizai to appear, Rinshi checked his inner coat pocket for a scroll and grabbed nothing. Rinshi forgot to put his scrolls in his coats inner pouch. Shit... Making a mental note in his head to always, slip them inside his coat. Directing his attention to Kizai who stood right where he wanted, like a dead duck. Kizai was holding one of the kunai he held threw at him earlier. Resourceful, I like that... Rinshi sprang forward ready to deliver a blow to Kizai's shoulder, to knock him aside opening a way for him to escape. Rinshi would lure him into the wilderness outside of Konohagakure, maybe to Rolling Hills he would decide that later. Just out of the public eye, wouldn't want the authorities involved. Rinshi did think it was a bit dangerous to have thrown those kunai...in broad daylight.

As he rounded the corner, Kizai would find that master Rinshi was already on the rebound! He flew inwards towards Kizai and made a offensive maneuver to his shoulder...it happened to be the right one and this knocked Kizai's shoulder off pivot. "Gah!" Kizai spun from the impact and almost fell down, but rolled over the ground and righted himself back up. The Kunai had been knocked from his hand and skittered across the ground.

As it hit the wall Kizai would forget it, and try to catch up to his master, who was already distancing himself through he village.

The boy did not quit he liked that, but would he be able to keep up would be the big question.  Rinshi rushed between the herds of people that walked about the village.  Rinshi saw an alleyway up ahead on a two way street.  Rinshi would lead his student to the rooftops and see how well he was at multitasking.
